Salisbury Hotel - نيويورك

The hotel is in a perfect location and is very clean. There was even a little kitchen with a sink, microwave & refrigerator. The elevator was quick and the employeeswere all very nice. It's just old and needs a bit of updating but it wouldn't stop me from staying there again.

I was highly impressed with the size of the room that we had for our stay. It was one of the suites and it was as big as my apartment in dublin. The reason we choose a suite was that we were travelling as a party of 3 adults and an infant.. As such we needed room for a cot and a small kitchen facility.. The cot (although resembling something from a 3rd world orphanage) was clean and quite sufficient.. Needing a sink to hold water to clean baby bottle was an issue as the plugs were missing or broken in both the kitchen sink and bathroom sink but after a call to reception this was resolved in less that 10 mins, which was great. The bulding itself is quite old and has some worn around the edges looks in some areas but nothing that would put my off staying here again. The location to all the sights in New York was amazing.. you could easily walk everywhere but for those who want to take it easier the subway is just at the top of the street.. I would highly recommend this hotel and location.. Surrounded by bars, restaurants and shopping it makes for a fab stay in New York for those not looking for ultra modern chic..

I took the time to read comments from prior guests and Trip Advisor, and I'm glad I did. The rooms facing the back are much quieter. The front desk help are somewhat cold and have NO personality. The location MAKES this hotel. The breakfast available is well worth the price, IF you are hungry. Nothing special about the rooms, but the LOCATION is perfect! I would stay here again just for the location and price.

Bed was ok, but have slept in worse. I have both AT&T and Verizon data plans and on the 16th floor could barely get internet access. This was the worse thing regarding my stay for me (Daily wifi was $10 and I opted to not pay for that service.) Breakfast was good, well priced and convenient ($9 including tax). The only item missing in my opinion was something with eggs for the protein. I loved the location as I had most of my meeting in a 10 block radius. The Room's size was quite good for NYC and had a desk which isn't always a guarantee for NYC. The hotel is a little run-down in the halls, but the staff were friendly and check in/out was easy. I didn't use them - but having a fridge and microwave can be great for leftovers and a nice benefit. The AC was a window unit which I liked for the white noise benefit.

The hotel was in an excellent location. The staff were friendly and helpful. The suite we had was nice and roomy and reasonable value considering the size, but the accommodation and hotel was in need of refurbishment (at least on our floor), verging on being a "bit seedy". The first night it poured with rain and we were kept awake by the clatter of the rain striking the metal air-conditioner box sticking out the window. Other nights we had to put up with a hot room or put up with the noise of the air-conditioning. There were no bedbugs. The continental breakfast served its purpose but the plastic cutlery and paper plates and cups added to the "Seediness". All-in-all we enjoyed our stay in the hotel and have no regrets.

Stayed for 5 nights in two rooms. Perfect location near the park. Hotel is old, somewhat worn down, but NYC-style charming. Rooms were clean and well equipped. Very big rooms, larger than my apartment at home! Two large comfy beds in each room. Two big TVs in each room. Good service at reception desk. Didn't try out the breakfast, lots of breakfast places near by.Recomended!.

firstly my booking was messed up by hotel.com & after paying more & then being reimbursed (long story) they guaranteed a king bed. i arrived to 2 king singles! the room was a suite so large but the bathroom was disgusting! a clump of hair on the wall & shower clogged with hair. staff were only basically helpful, never going out of their way. the breakfast was a joke. plastic utensils & paper plates :/ & the lady made me feel uncomfortable as i was on my own! no warmth or welcome! really disappointed in hotel & hotel.com!

From the moment we arrived we felt at home in the Salsbury. The cleanliness and comfort of the room and the perfect location of the Hotel. We were so happy. We highly reccomend this hotel. If there was one small ctiticisim that was that the air condition unit was abit noisy, as we were there in April that was,nt much of an issue. Thanks again for a wonderfull holiday. We,ll be back.

We stayed at the Salisbury for 10 days so were looking for somewhere we could settle and unpack - it definately fitted the bill with spacious, clean rooms and a very friendly environment. The staff were very helpful and approachable with advice, directions and any other issues. The location we found ideal as it was within close vacinity to Central park, 5th Avenue, the subway and Times Square was a 10min walk away. I would definately recommend this hotel and would go back to stay.

This hotel may not be very fancy but it was clean and comfortable and the neighborhood was great. We will stay here whenever coming to NYC. The wireless is not free but it was only about $10 for the whole stay.

Our suite at the Salisbury Hotel turned out to be the perfect choice for us; four girlfriends on a bucket list holiday from Sydney, Australia. Located close to the subway and with a late night convenience store across the road and down a bit (sells wine but you'll need a corkscrew, no screw tops here!) it is within walking distance to heaps of must see and do attractions. The bed and living rooms were spacious (very, apparently, by NY standards) and provided enough cupboard space for the four of us to store our luggage away. It was very clean and quiet enough that we could sleep with the windows open (was that because we were so dog-tired from walking everywhere or that there was so much to see and do we were lucky to average four hours' sleep a night?!) but we did have a room at the back of the hotel. The beds were really comfy (doubles, but could easily fit queens in the room) with lovely crisp white linen. The kitchenette and bathroom were a little dated but perfectly functional and clean. We did have an issue a couple of times with housekeeping only providing three towels instead of four, but that was only a minor issue. Would definitely recommend the suite for friends to share and/or families as the overall value for money was outstanding compared to other 'four share' hotels we considered.

The hotel is in a good loaction just 2 blocks from Central Park and close to 5th Ave. It is very worn and and in need of a renovation - but still has it's charm. Staff is doing what they have to do - not more.. We recommend to have breakfast elsewhere. Several alternatives in the next block.

The location was fantastic. About a block off Central Park. Just half a block to the subway. The rooms were huge and very clean. Charged $9 for breakfast which we never bought. There's a Dali Market two doors down where you can get breakfast for a couple of dollars. Would definitely recommend staying here especially with kids. Lots of room to spread out and relax after a great day sightseeeing.

Past a certain hour the concierge does not seem to care if you need assistance or have questions. Whether its 1pm or 1 am, a newspaper is not more important than the person that has spent a pretty penny to stay in the hotel. Both were sitting down and annoyed i even spoke to them. I have stayed there twice now and it's definitely my last. Both times the cleaning lady walked in my room without knocking or anything so I'm pretty sure they do it everytime...that I don't understand. Beds are terribly hard both times I stayed.

Very clean and elegant hotel. The place has lots of character, being quite an old building, and this really adds to the charm. Room was large with a walk in wardrobe - the check-in staff apologised because, as we were very early arriving, they only had a room without kitchenette. This didn't matter as there are so many cafes and restaurants around, along with a 24 hour deli selling everthing you could possibly need just 3 doors down the street, we just went out for any food. The hotel is across from Carnegie hall and just one block from 5th Avenue and Central Park. Couldn't be better placed. Great value for money with no apparent compromises - GO!

The rooms were large and extremeley clean..2 HUGE closets, a blow dryer already in the extremely clean bathroom, a mini fridge, microwave, coffee pot and an ironing board and iron. the location is close to everything yet enouhg off the beaten path so that it's quiet when you want to sleep. A big issue for me and hotels is that the windows never open...they do here! We had nice fresh air coming in, which helped us sleep even better in the uber comfy beds. The staff was friendly and very accomodating. Our room check in did't coincide with our arrival and they were more than happy to keep out luggage (6 pieces) safe and secure in a room the bellman provided. The same free service was provided when we checked out. Our room was ready 2 hours earlier than the posted check-in time and we were allowed to check in early. This hotel will be a favorite of mine and I would feel confident recommending this facility to anyone and everyone...enjoy!!!!

Hotels in Manhatten ARE expensive, so don't expect luxourous hotel for this price. It is good, we had a very large room and everything was ok. Nothing to complain, but also nothing to relly prise besides the great location in the middel of everything. Rooms were not perfectly clean but acceptable. Parking is one block away and it can take quite some time to get there if the traffice is heavy.

My sister and I had a lovely suite with two double beds and a very comfortable lounge with kitchen/dining area. The staff were helpful and we were very pleased with the location of the hotel, just two blocks from Central Park and just off Avenue of the Americas. The only downside was the building sites opposite and another just along the road from us. It seemed deliveries to the site along the road went on through the night, which didn't keep us awake but it was a bit noisy. Obviously the hotel had no control over this so we were recommend this hotel unreservedly.

This hotel is in a great location! 5 mins from central park and 10 mins from times square. We stayed there with our children and really enjoyed it. Although the hotel is a little dated it's really clean and we would defiantly stay there again.

Salisbury Hotel is located just a few blocks from Times Square, Central Park, and Carnegie Hall. The hotel offers a variety of breakfast items daily to its customers for an affordable fee. As for dinner, there are numerous restaurants only 2-3 blocks away. The rooms are very spacious and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I will defiinitely stay at Salisbury Hotel again during my next visit to NYC!

With the price, this hotel was very confortable, our room was pretty big, staff were very helpful. Great location near Central park. There are at least 2 lines of subway so it is easy to get to disternations.

The Salisbury Hotel is an old style new York Hotel in an excellent location around the corner from Carnegie hall and two streets away from Central Park. The rooms were clean and of good size. our room had a sink, fridge, microwave and a coffee maker. The bathroom, although the decor was a little dated was clean. The staff were helpful at all times and they do not charge for left luggage as other New York hotels do. There is an excellent Italian restaurant next door to the hotel Angelos, it is strictly pizza and pasta, popular with families. Breakfast is available in the hotel for $9. There is an excellent selection of fresh fruit, cakes and breads and pancakes. the only downside was paper plates, plastic cutlery and plastic cups! This is not a mdern 5 star hotel, it is a very clean comfortable 3 star hotel whic I would use again.

Great location and very reasonable price. Close to the theatre district and Time Square-- a 15 minute walk. Across the street from Carnegie Hall. The hotel needs to be updated, but it is clean, so if you're looking for a way to save some money and enjoy the city, this is a very good place to stay.

Can't ask for a better place to be in NYC - close to everything. Large rooms, clean, with a friendly staff that was very helpful refreshing my memory about how to get around in NYC. The price was great, we upgraded to a very large suite with a pull out for my daughter. It is an older hotel, the views are not there, but the rooms were great, the location can't be beat and the price was right.

Salisbury Hotel is located near the Central Park & most important Subway lines. Adding reasonable rates to the equation makes this hotel a prime candidate for any NYC visitor unless it's truly glitter and shine you're after. The room was clean and comfortable just as you could expect. Breakfast was quite ok keeping in mind the price. Like others have said, it's not a 5-star hotel, but it's not pretending to be one. Clean, safe & prime location.

We always stay at this hotel because it is a great location, extremely courteous staff, and for some reason we have always gotten bumped up to a suite at no extra cost. They give you a very nice discount at a parking garage one block away. It is very close to the metro stop. Only down side is you pay for breakfast, but it's a nice one at that. Love this hotel!

This hotel is a reasonable value for Times Square.

The location is very good. Two major subway lines are near the hotel so the transportation is very convenient. You will never hungry because the 24/7 food/convenient shop is next to the hotel. If you want to safe your money, you can buy the food there. The pedestrian is friendly environment. I enjoyed walking along the street to many places such as central park, apple shop, Louis Vitton, etc. The only one bad thing is the noise. After midnight, the noise from siren of police car or ambulance, also the construction nearby is bothering you!!! Anyway, this hotel is highly recommended for shopaholic and backpackers...

The hotel is a little old but improvements were being done. Fantastic price for the location. Staff was very helpful and the room was super clean. Great for a small family on a budget!

Great hotel and location however, we used to get disturbed really a lot by the house keeping staff. They would knock on your door once and then just walk into your room. It was really annoying!!

Conveniently located and relatively affordable, the hotel has larger than average rooms. It could be updated and refreshed a bit, though, and opt for a room not facing the street as traffic noises and honking horns carry through the older windows.

The Salisbury Hotel is not probably what you will want if you plan only to attend Broadway Shows, but if you're more into Central Park, Carneggie Hall and Lincoln Center, this is THE place. No fancy stuff, and somewhat old-fashioned elevators, but other than that, superb location and kind staff.

The hotel was a bit old and only had 2 small elevators. The restaurant was located at the 3rd floor and we were there for breakfast.I was told by others that this hotel owned by Church, so I won't expect a lot. But most of the staffs were very nice and helpful. We were staying at 1 bedroom King suit, the bathroom was tiny and no fan ventilation. The King bed was very comfortable. They had 2 flat screen TV in our room. You can find subway at the 57th corner and $2.25 per ride if you want to go to Time Square and Soho or visit Chinatown It is just a walking distance to 5th Avenue. All famous brand stores were located all alone on 5th Ave and we walked up to 80th Street to visit Metropolitan Museum. PS: Most of the # Avenues were one way street, if you want to save some time and money on your taxi ride, you have to hope on taxi at the right corner of the intersection.

The Salisbury hotel in New York was a great boutique hotel.. It is old but very well kept. We stayed on the street side and loved the sounds of NYC. If you want quiet stay on the back side. The continental breakfast was worth the money, bakery was delicious. The location was great for us because we were going to Carnegie Hall and it was right across the street. It was only 3 short blocks to Times Square and 1 1/2 blocks from Central Park and 5th Ave.

I've stayed at this hotel a couple times before and had been quite satisfied. This time I booked for 4 nights and the bedroom closet & bathroom smelled like urine. Housekeeping cleaned it but the room still had a foull smell throughout the entire stay. Add to that major construction going on in the hallway outside our room. I would call this a definite to avoid, at least until they complete their repairs.

We very much liked this hotel. Beacuse we traveled as a family they gave us the choice to take a top-floor suite instead of the two booked rooms. Thus, we got a huge appartment in a very central location in NY for a very competitve price. Very close to metro, bus and walking distance to all great places in midtown and central park. Forget about the $9 breakfast; its decent but does not pay NY justice. Head out for breakfast instead. Their overpriced wlan is not good, so head over the street to starbucks instead.
