The location of the hotel is perfect. The room is quiet,very big,like a small apartment and very clean. It has a microwave and a refridgaratore The service of the reception is excellent, the receptionists are very very friendly and always smile. The only con is that the breakfast is a little poor.

Excellent location for what you pay for. The hotel is a bit older but the room was clean and the staff are very helpful.

There was nothing particularly wrong with this hotel, its just Hollywood isnt a pleasant place to stay in LA. Would definately recommend staying in Beverly Hills or somewhere safer. The room was clean and big, though we were at the bottom of the stairs and the vending machines so it was very noisy and didnt sleep very well. The breakfast is pretty ordinary as well.

My wife and daiter stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The location is just behind the Kodak Theater and convenient for tourists. The hotel itself is old but renovation was completed to be a clean room. The room and beds were large in space (at least by Japanese standard) and comfortable. Only complaint would be the towels were somewhat well-worn and the wash-basin was a little cheap. Other than that they had a very nice stay and this hotel should be recommended to tourists to Los Angeles and particularly Hollywood.

the hotel is situated close to kodak theatre and hollywood boulevard. the room was nice enough, a strong smell of soap in the room, so we had to open the windows and door to air it out. generally a pretty good place to stay for the price.

Don't expect 5 star luxury, but this was still not a bad place to stay. It was very close to the walk of fame and most attractions in Hollywood. The staff were very friendly and let us check in early which was great as we had a lot of suitcases and snowboards

if you want to stay in hollywood without breaking the budget then it's wise to consider the hollywood celebrity. free parking in lot around corner, free wifi and free continental b/fast are additional pluses. and if you are using public transport the metro is also just around the corner. revamped plaza/arcade next to kodak theater provides for more upscale modern look to an otherwise tired looking hollywood blvd.

Better than I expected for the money. Ideal central location. The Kodak Theatre is just at the bottom of the street as is the Hollywood and Highland Centre. Two minutes walk to Hollywood Boulevard, one minute to the Magic Castle. My room was quiet. Great staff. Fantastic place to use as a base for exploring L.A. Buses and trains at very reasonable prices replace the need for a car. I will be back.

Funky and retro. Could use some new carpets and paint here and there, but not a big deal. The staff were super nice and helpful. The surrounding area is hit or miss. The hotel itself is located on a good street, but you're just a block away from the Blvd riff-raff, so watch out. If I need to stay in Hollywood again, I would probably stay here. A good value.

This hotel was a gem. It is in a prime location, only minutes from Hollywood Blvd and the thick of the action. The hotel staff were amazing and extremely attentive to our needs at all time. It is extremely clean and well maintained. Continental breakfast was small, but all you need to start the day. Would highly recommend this hotel, one of the best we stayed at on our trip around the US! Thank you :)

Well positioned - close to Hollywood Boulevade, public transport but in a quiet street. Staff were extremely helpful. Our suite was extremely roomy and well equiped.

Hotel is very conveniently situated for Hollywood and close to public transport and restaurants. The staff were friendly and the room was large and clean. Breakfast was buffet style in the lobby where you help yourself and take it back to your room. Muffins were very good but unfortunately coffee, which was self serve from an urn, was not (my husband drank it, but I couldn't) and the hot water, also from an urn, was not hot enough to make a cup of tea, unless you like tepid tea. There were no facilities to make a hot drink in the room. The only major complaint I have was the noise from other guests, the walls appeared to be paper thin and we were kept awake both nights by people upstairs apparently moving furniture across the floor at 3am (and possibly playing ball games?). We could hear people above and next door taking showers and talking (also between 2 and 5 am). Not sure why everyone was so active in the middle of night, maybe taking early flights, just unfortunate that there is no soundproofing.

For a budget hotel The Hollywood Celebity Hotel is great value for money. The executive king room we had was spacious and comfortable and very clean. The desk staff were wonderful, so friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast of which you could help yourself to as much as you liked was very nice (pastries, toast, yoghurt etc.) and you could eat on the patio or take it back to your room. The hotel is in a quiet street right behind the Kodak theatre in Hollywood Boulevard and convenient for buses and the Metro and all the Hollywood sights. I would stay there again.

We were very impressed with the cleanliness of the hotel and our room. Very relaxing and pleasant stay. Parking was a bit cramped, but that goes with the territory. It was less than a 10 minute walk to the Hollywood Bowl where we saw Journey, foreigner and Night Ranger. Less than a 5 minute walk to the Walk of the Stars right in the heart of downtown Hollywood.

We stayed at this hotel for four nights in Oct. 2011 We found the hotel to be very well located and walking distance to shopping, eating places and entertainment. The service was great and price reasonable. We would reccomend this hotel to friends and relatives.

Great hotel for the Walk Of Fame and all the glitz of the Hollywood/Highland intersection. Staff helpful and definiitely would recommend.

the hotel location is great. just a few mins walk to the hollywood highland/blvd. so close to everything. staffs are great.

The location of the hotel is great, staff welcoming and hotel clean, my only comment would be walls and floors are thin so you hear people coming and going and talking.

This is the last hotel we, a party of 4 Thai people, stayed during our 11-day trip to USA. Practically, we chose this hotel because of the review in Hotels.com indicating that the hotel is closed to everywhere, especially a walking distance away from main attractions in Hollywood area. The first impression when we reached this hotel is the friendliness of the front desk man who appeared to be very kind and helpful in every way he possibly can. When strolling to the room, we can smell something like fabric softener, which reflected how clean the walkway and the room would be. Inside the room, we have everything we may need, i.e. hair dryer, refridgerator, chairs and table, flat screen tv with cable, in-room wifi, etc. Additionally, we can enjoy the breakfast every morning although there are not many selections of things to be eaten. From what we experienced and also from a friend who lives in LA, this is a very nice hotel concerning the amenities, locations, and cleanliness though this may not yield the luxury for those who seek red carpet and bell boys.

so nice and quiet when you go back to the hotel from the crazy Hollywood blvd. We felt safe, staff was very friendly and accommodating with luggage and parking. I definitely will go there again with the girls or my family.

Our Stay at the Hollywood Celebrity was fantastic. The room was very clean with lots of room. The front end staff where so amazing and answered all our questions and had some great suggestions aswell. We enjoyed our stay very much as the location was great, and it was so easy to get around we didnt even rent a car we walked or used the public transit systems. We would deffinetly recommend this hotel to others and if we are in LA again we will be booking at the Hollywood Celebrity again.

Literally a five minute walk and you are on the walk of fame in front of the Kodak theatre -right in the heart of the hollywood district. Wouldd defintely stay there again and recommend to anyone. I stumbled on this quaint hotel and am so glad I did. We were able to walk to everything nearby - Hard Rock, Tours, shopping, etc. We will definitely be back.

The pictures don't do this hotel justice. If you are into retro and 1950s nostalgia it will make you feel like you are right there! Granted, its not the newest stuff but that's what makes it even cooler. Extremely clean and just 1 block from nearly everything. The internet didn't work with my VPN but that ended up being a blessing in disguise. The staff isn't the quickest but I think that's the LA state of mind. Overall, this place rocked and I would love to go back!

check in was smooth with friendly and polite staff,the hotel was very clean and looked to be recently refurbished.breakfast was basic continental but we knew that when we booked but everything was fresh and good.rooms where clean and comfortable.there was slight noise at night but that was because of the excellent location near to all you want to visit in hollywood.very happy overall with our stay and would recommend strongly.

The Breakfast that was included in our price only consisted in a Crossant and a Muffin Cut in Half Tea and Coffee. We would have prefered a bowl of cereal but something is better than nothing right?? Overall the lovely girl at the front desk couldn't be more helpful with showing us maps on where to go places to eat etc... We took the hop on hop off bus to Santa Monica Pier something that I would highly recommend to someone that has never been to LA before. Definately a Place to Stay for Location Location Location but probably I'm letting the cat out of the Bag with this one because I may not get into here again if I say to much more....

After reading several not so good reviews was a little apprehensive about our booking, but Hollywood Celebrity Hotel was a fantastic place to stay. The service from hotel staff was excellent, the room was clean and well presented and the location was only a two minute walk to all the Hollywood Blvde attractions. The complimentary breakfast was most welcome and included muffins, pastries, yoghurt and fruit juices. Would definitely stay there again.

This hotel is only a few minutes from the Hollywood Walk of Fame and all the attractions.We felt we couldn't have picked a better hotel for value for money, loacation and frendlinest of the staff. The bedroom was comfortable although the bathroom could do with a little updating.

This hotel is located right by The Gaumann's Chieese Theater and walking distance to a beautiful mall. It is an older building which was once a apartment complex then converted to a hotel. The rooms are clean and comforable but the furnishings and painting needs some updating. The Manager and staff are great and very helpful. He even let us borrow an umbrella because it was raining. The breakfast is bagels, muffins, juice, tea, coffee or hot chocolate. But it was fresh so that is enough. The price was great and parking was free which is amazing for this area. It even has free internet. A very good deal for the money.

All night long on friday I had to open my window and tell people to be quite all the way till 5 am. It was terrible. I had a lot of kids and they put us on the second floor with no elevator. It was by far my worst hotel experience yet. Nice location and free parking is nice but not worth 3 cranky kids and 2 very tired parents

omg!! i really loved this hotel...staff were all nice and the room is really big and its very close to hollywood scene and the breakfast was pretty decent too. i would totally stay here again!!!! and i recommand this hotel to everyone =)it was pretty clean and if i have to say one thing i didnt really like is about parking lot... it was really narrow and small...but the staff will help you park it or get it out fromm the lot so no worries!! i would recommand to go and park your car as early as possible because its first come first! i didnt think it was gona be that great hotel but i really enjoyed the stay here...

For an older hotel it's very comfortable and very conveniently located when you want to be in the "heart" of Hollywood. Seems to be an old apartment building, and it makes you feel as if someone who is very famous, but long gone, could have lived there when they were still struggling young actors. It's not elegant in any way, but a fun place to stay.

This is an old hotel that may have been an apartment originally.If you like old buildings with personality this is it. Art deco style.Halls are not air condtioned but the rooms are. Sparse decorations but clean.Located right behind the Kodak (acadamy awards) theatre with back entry into the connecting mall. Very nice staff.Easy walk to Hollywood tourist attractions.Off street parking, no pool.

Just around the corner is Graumann Chinese and Hollywood Boulevard. However, I booked a suite and was co9nvinced, that there would be separated bedrooms with a door in between and that wasen't the case.

Great little hotel in a great location. Rooms were very clean if not a little tired but this is reflected in the cost. The reception staff are very helpful. I would recommend this hotel and i would go back.
