Vagabond Inn Chula Vista - شولا فيستا

I really liked the room I stayed in. The overall feel of the room was comfortable and relaxing. It may have not been a big room but the remodeled bathroom and comfortable bed made up for it. The hotel is about 5 minutes or less (depending on stoplights) from the freeway so it makes it easy to get around San Diego. The staff was very polite and helpful which made checking in and out easy and painless. I would definitely stay here again and the price was reasonable for the stay.

Outside appearance of hotel is old and needs remodeling. Room was clean and practical. No iron inside room. Was staying on side next to Bar/Night Club that was very loud on Wednesday until 1:00 that night. Was ok for the price. Need to stay on side by the office to avoid noise at night.

Front desk staff are very friendly. Room is clean and comfortable. Love the magnifying mirror in the dressing area. This was definitely a plus when choosing this motel.

The hotel was decent for the price and especially since we went during a holiday weekend! When we arrived, they checked us in immediately. They were friendly at the counter! The hotel was close to the freeway and about 5 min away from downtown and old town SD.

Rooms were very clean. Staff at front desk was friendly and helpful. Location of hotel was convenient when finding things to do.

Room was a little small but it was clean and bed was comfortable. Room rates were reasonable.

would stay again.

this hotel was just ok. if you plan to stay beware that they run out of hot water at around 9 am

Really enjoyed our two day stay at Vagabond Inn Chula Vista. Rooms were a little small but the beds and furniture have been updated. Beds were nicely made with new pillows. When you first arrive to the hotel it’s a little nerve racking, because the outside looks outdated and old. The rooms are a different story they are clean. Also room service are respectful with your items I missed placed my COACH Sun Glasses and was not sure if I left them at the restaurant or I left them in the bathroom of the restaurant. My sunglasses ended up under the bed and the house keeper found them and left them on top of the TV so I would be able to see them. I thought that was the best she could have kept them and I would have never noticed. But she didn’t :-)

Rooms are very comfy and staff is very helpful and are eager to make customers happy.

Very satisfactory.

The hotel was an excellent value for the money. My room was very clean and had everything that I could have wanted. It even had a magnifying mirror on the wall in the bathroom, which may not sound like much, but for us that can't see without one to put eyeliner on, this was great. The only real complaint I had was that the bed had seen better days. There were deep indents on each side of the bed. As long as you slept in the middleof the bed it wasn't to bad.

The hotel, for the price was good. Pool, and heated Jacuzzi, comfortable beds. don't go for the breakfast, but again, for the price, it´s nice they offer anything. The heater was a little broken, and seemed a bit inane to have a heater hanging up by the cieling as heat rises, so it wasn´t too effective and the room was a bit cold, but other than that it was just fine.

If you want an inexpensive place to stay this is it.

Overall, great experience. Ffriendly staff & very organized clean rooms.

We arrived at the hotel at around 8pm. The front desk staff was great. It took all of 5 minutes to get our room key and get out the door. We got a choice of ground floor which was great with 2 small children. The hotel is right in the middle of the downtown area so if you are looking for a quiet atmosphere you will be disappointed, but the noise level in the hotel and surrounding area was not a problem. The room came with a mini fridge and a microwave, which we did not have to use, but would have come in handy for a longer stay. Check out was just as easy, just turned in the card and we were on our way.

It's a very clean hotel along with the premises. The rooms are a little small but, all in all a nice hotel.

It turn out to be a great stay. Off the freeway. Easy assess to the trolley station. Check in and out was easy . Nice friendly staff. Room was clean.will stay again,

It was a decent place to stay. Affordable and about 20 mins drive to UCSD which was where we needed to go the next day. The room has a fridge & microwave which is very convenient. I'd come back again

They cancelled our room stating that my credit card did not work which was not true as they ran it when I was there. They finally got us a room but it was a hassel.

Over priced for a very old motel type accommodation. No shuttle service to convention center. I can’t imagine without the Comic Con in town that they could ever be priced this high.

Too expensive

There r no reall windows in the back, so it definitely not quiet. U hear people screaming and shouting all night. There's a bar next door and all they do is yell. There washer and dryer don't work and the guy at the desk was a jerk. If ur staying for 1 night u should be ok but any longer i don't recamind it

The hotel was really good and in good location, but the a/c was not working properly and had a lick under neath the sink. I hope they had that fixed and by the way they need to take away the break feast for it was only cofee and donuts. All though it does help other clients to halve this but when you got family their it sure does not.

We went to see partly my mother in law's family and to run some errands in the area- we got two rooms we looked at both rooms first - they gave us one right next to the other which was good. One room was clean and smelled clean- we gave that one to my mother in law, the second smelled horribly like cigarettes - both rooms were non-smoking. We called right away to let them know that one stank of cigarettes, we didn't ask for another room because we liked the fact that one was right next to the other and we didn't want to waste time. Also, the facet in the bathroom tub in one room - the water did not go up to the shower head so we used a plastic cup to gather water from the bottom facet to bathe ourselves. The next day, luckily it worked but we told the staff when we left hoping they'd fix it for the next guest. There are a plenty of restaurants to eat in the area, that was a plus. The rooms are pretty outdated.

We loved how close it was to I-5 freeway. Easy to get to the attractions of the area. We stayed 2 nights and would stay again.

the front desk was great after a long drive from the bay area they let us have early check in. the clerk even remembered my name two days later! the room had a musty smell to it and could use a upgrade. the cleaning staff could use either more time or more training on proper cleaning of rooms some things missed or over looked.while in the luke warm hot tub the laundry staff used the fence to hang blankets on.it was close to where i needed to be and many good eating places close by.

This is by FAR the worst hotel I have EVER stayed at! Under no circumstances should you reserve a room here! The worst of the nightmare stay was NO hot water for showers, Filthy carpets, located in an extremely run down area of town (overflowing dumpsters with people digging through them and STINK) , changeing rooms 3 times in 24 hrs because of serious room problems (broken toilets, clogged sinks etc) very rude desk staff not at all helpful, not to mention constant yelling, banging and people prowling the parking lot all night long looking in vehicles... I took photos and have filed an extensive complaint with Vagabond Inn, corporate. Our 3 day get away was TOTALLY ruined. DO NOT STAY HERE, travel farther but DON'T STAY HERE!!!!!
