Vagabond Hotel was a good value. The location was good with shopping & restaurants nearby.

Johnna, Deborah and Percy are the best!!!!!!!

When I drove up to The hotel, I thought... OMG! This is going to be a nightmare!! It looks trashed from the outside but totally different inside. The restroom was very nice and clean. And the beds were pretty comfortable.

I enjoyed my stay at this Hotel.

I stood in room 221 the first week I stayed there. Next time got room down the hall. I was looking out at resturant not ocean/boats. He knew that when i asked for different room. Then ac did not work at all.

room was great. neightborhood was friendly. the only downer was our refrigerator was overacting and froze our food.

it's not the newest building but it was clean and would stay there again. staff was very obliging. and above all the price was great

The value and location was great.It was just a night stop over but a good price for San Diego

For the price, not too bad. Neighborhood was great. I love the location. I wanted to be by the water and we were. Our room was smelly and run-down. The bathroom was re-modeled and clean. Staff was indifferent. The handyman was really friendly and helpful. I would stay again if my budget dictated. Had a great time in San Diego.

the convenience being close to the airport was great, but room was so old and in disrepair, would not stay three again. Neighborhood was not very good either, but we were only there for a few hours before flight left, do it sufficed!

apprehensive at first . but it was clean and comfortable . quiet . and safe . bussing and trolley was easy . very reasonable . i would stay there again .

The hotel is very nice parks, Downtown, Harbor, and all places you would like to see is all near the hotel. It's all about what your in hotel for, if your there just to sleep and then spend all your day out side it's nice. If your there to stay all day long; it's still nice, staff is nice!

Great hotel. Beautiful location to the back....sketchy area across the street. Very close to everything though. Free parking off the street was nice. Staff very friendly except for the general manager---he interrupts everything you say, likes to drop his title of general manager all over the place, and he won't listen to anything you say. However, the man at the desk was very helpful and kind---he should be the general manager. It was good to book through hotels.com though. They were all very helpful.

If you are staying in San Diego for 1 or 2 nights this is a good option. The hotel is a bit old but people are very nice and the rooms are clean and comfortable.

I wasn't expecting the hotel to be nice from how it looked on the outside. But for the price this hotel is a good value especially for San Diego area. This hotel was close to the beach with fire pits and was in a classy harbor style neighborhood. Overall it was a good experience but the building was just really old.

This hotel was very close to the airport! It was clean, quiet and the hotel staff was quite pleasant and helpful. I've stayed at other hotels that haven't had the most clean bathrooms and this one definitely was! I'd come back again.

I have stayed here several times. Nothing fancy, but love the location in Point Loma.

The hotel is old, but clean and friendly. We did enjoy walking on the fishing pier looking at the boats immediately behind the hotel. The room was adequate and clean but nothing special.

I like it!

A musty smelling room, a very worn bed spread and chair. Parking is very challenging, small spaces and not very many of them. On the up side, the location is great and the price was good.

The rooms were small and a bit musty, it was right on the water and in a good neighborhood. The cable was great and the staff friendly. A GOOD HOTEL FOR THE PRICE.

This Hotel is at a great location for it's price! Right next to the Marina and great Restaurant!

We stayed at this hotel because of the price and convenience of the location. We only needed a place to lay our heads for the night prior to an early morning flight. The hotel met our needs with a comfy bed and delicious danish the next morning.

The rooms were a bit of a disappointment after viewing the pics on the internet. They were smelly, the carpet was stained, and the pool was too cold to swim in. They even ran out of food on the second morning that we were there and I suspect that the check-in person didn't want to bother putting more doughnuts out. On the positive side, the location is amazing!

Not only was the view of a construction site instead of the harbor which is what the listing said, there was nothing to eat anywhere near by, the neighborhood was odd and to top it off, "breakfast" which is why I said yes to booking this hotel in the first place was Costco style pastries (terrible), instant oats, orange juice and coffee. Sorry not breakfast to me. And not booking there ever again.

The hotel was dirty. The shower did not drain the water. Maintenance said we had to wait until the next day to get it fixed. We left and asked for our money back. I don't recommend it. Only good thing was the location.

Hands down the most disgusting and vile hotel experience of my life. Where to start?! The room smelled like wet dogs and cat URINE... The comforter had blood stains on it... The furniture was covered in HUMAN EXCREMENT stains and the carpet was unsuitable for human conditions. The bathroom was once clearly used for meth production! You're better off sleeping in your car.. even a park bench would have been better than this complete DUMPSTER

I was shocked but then going off of just pictures I should have know better. It was an ok stay but i would not pay that again to stay there- I would go across the street

This was a nice and friendly place to stay. We were there for a wedding on shelter island so very convienient. Not a 5 star resort but most definately clean and capable of dealing with a bride to be and her family! I would definately stay again.

After getting over the apprehensive click of the "BOOK ROOM NOW" button, we were finally at ease when we pulled in. This place was beyond our expectations! The rooms were comfortable and the beds were great. We stayed three nights and I was expecting to wake up in the knots that inevitably occur with hotel life. To my surprise, the pain never came =) The pool was very clean and the marina is a rock throw from the room. We were also pleasantly surprised about the pastries, coffee and juice that were provided every morning as we were under the impression that we would have to be on our own for the most important meal of the day :-)..The location was very convenient to major attractions and quick places to eat. If there could be one complaint; they don't have adequate parking. Other than that, this will be our first choice stay when we come back.

Construction going on next door and very limited parking. Returning after 10Pm one night required parking on the streen, a block away.
