Danubius Hotel Budapest - بودابست

It was a nice hotel however cannot be categorised as a 4 star hotel but it was definitely worth the money we paid for it. The best thing about hotel was its location. There is a tram & bus stop right in front of Hotel and this is the best thing when you are tired & coming back hotel in late evening and want to avoid walking even a single metre. There is also a metro station at around 10 mins walk which connects to the rest of the city. Staff was very helpful and advised with the tourist attractions. The hotel even have the currency exchange facility which was very helpful in our case as we ran out of HUF during our journey and could exchange euros to HUF in hotel itself. We were very satisfied with hotel in terms of the price we paid and its location.

Although the location of this hotel is very convenient to transit sources and walking, it comes with some interesting challenges. The heating and air conditioning units in the rooms are virtually worthless. We had two different rooms on the top floor - supposedly the best the hotel had to offer - same problems. The worst problem was the shower - beautiful tile bathrooms with gleaming fixtures, but it was mostly show. The shower (in both rooms and after complaints and a visit by a technician) provided boiling hot water (hot eough to burn) or ice cold - no blend at all. The tap for the bath could be used to fill the tub by running hot and then cold until the correct temperature was obtained, but not the shower. The bathroom sinks also ran a blend of temps, but not the shower. It was frustrating to say the least. For an overnight stay it might not be a problem, but for a longer stay trying to wash hair in the little sink was ridiculous!

The hotel is very modern, room was clean and very comfortable, staff was very pleasant will definitely return.

Hotel staff at front of desk were all very pleasant. Rooms were clean and comfortable, with good clean bathroom facilities, loads of hot water and shower was very powerful. Rooms can be noisy with other residents shuting there doors, which always seems very noisy. Also you constantly hear the sirens from ambulance and poleice etc going by the hotel at night time and I wouldnt say the double glazing is the best at keeping sound out! Afetr all this I would still saty there again as it is reasonable priced and convenient for my needs

Very good rate as we booked 6 months in advance, very close to the Szell Kalman ter metro station, tram stop right outside. Gave us 3 rooms adjacent to one another. Friendly, helpful English speaking staff. Booked various things like dinner reservations for us, provided lots of leaflets with activities to do in and around Budapest. Service at the restaurant very efficient, cleaning staff friendly, great views from the top floors - ask for a room facing the Danube! Only downsides were the noise level (lots of sirens going past at night kind of disruptive if you have the window open) and that the air conditioning (even though it did work) seemed very ineffective. Breakfast was overpriced but there are plenty of places close by to get breakfast. Dinner was much better value than breakfast in the hotel restaurant. Would definitely stay again.

hotel was clean and of an ok standard. was a bit far out from the nightlife budapest has to offer. every time we arrived back at the hotel it seemed a new coach had arrived with passengers so was always busy. cheapish tho.

1st experience--doorman ripped our luggage out of our hands and then stood there with his hand out for a 'tip'. 2nd--reception was rude, immediately insisting on changes, which of course involve more money, even for the services which were supposed to be included in the price, like the breakfast. There was No housekeeping during the two night stay. The coffee shop was physically there but non-functional. The restaurant was occupied with some sort of private function. No food available and no restaurants nearby. This might have been related to the fact that we could not get information about Anything from the desk clerks. We made three local phone calls there during our stay and were charged $90.00 American, with the explanation that the contact was a "mobile phone" and out-of-area, which was not true. On the day of our arrival, we asked for an umbrella to use for a walk and were told, "you don't need an umbrella, it's not raining", when in fact, the rain was visible from the front desk. If you can avoid this place, Do It.

frendly, english speaking staff, very kind and helpful hotel is in good location, walking distance to underground, buses, trams. Stayed on the 13th floor with amazing wiew - loved it!room was comfortable and clean, adequate for the price, good value for money, would only recommend

A nice hotel in a location near tram and bus stops fairly good location opposite the cog railway and near Moscva Ter and shops.

cannot find a fault with this hotel,rooms very clean and comfortable, vaule for money.would defintly use again nexttime in budapest

you get what you pay for. i thought it would be a good deal, and was expecting high quality, but was disappointed. it's in a good location, the rooms are clean, but the it's rather run down and the beds lumpy. the air conditioner does not work. the restaurant is over priced and the food is terrible. it is a good, cheap place to stay if you just need a place to sleep while passing through town, or being a tourist.

nice hotel. everything is great, except for: 1) Expensive internet (8 euros per 2 hours, one access only) 2) expensive breakfast (18 euros for buffet... not that great) 3) air conditioner doesn't work (you'll need in the Summer). Other than that, great place.

We have chosen to stay here on several occasions because it is very good value for money. The hotel is conveniently located on a tram route and within walking distance of the metro; the surrounding views of the Buda hills are stunning; the bedrooms are a good size, well resourced and spacious; access to both a restaurant and a cafe is a bonus; the breakfasts are excellent with plenty of choice; and the staff provide a prompt, friendly and efficient service. So it is very much to be recommended.

As a frequent traveler to Europe, I stay in many hotels. The Hotel Budapest was a nice walk/tram ride from Muskaver Ter. and accounted equally for the price. Equally still, it is in a decent neighborhood and across the street from the tram with plenty of cabs waiting. The food in the restaurant is pricy but not bad, however the presentation is fantastic. The Downside: If you forget to hang the Do Not Disturb placard, they will attempt to enter your room at 7:30 or 8am to clean. Also, the elevator has a mind of its own. The staff are fluent in english for the most part and some are helpful, however, most come off as thier hotel is too good for a backpacker. (Just older and no longer in to Hostels) On the European scale I give them about a 3.5 / 4 for being on top of things.

We was there for about 5 days, the hotel is not the best 4 stars we have lived in. There is a lot of noise from the outside of the window, and you can hear the cars all night long. About the hotel room, the hair dryer, was not working, one of the lamp over the bed, was not working, and we cut see the screw was missing. The hotel is close to the metro, so the transport into town is very easy. Rating of the hotel, out of 5 stars we give 2 stars

Satisfait dans l'ensemble.Points négatifs: moquette très dégradée, mauvais fonctionnement de la climatisation, parking véhicules non couvert très onéreux. Points positifs : petit déjeuner copieux,hôtel bien insonorisé,chambres spacieuses.

Facilement accessible par métro, tram et autobus car l'hotel est situé à 2 minutes d'un point de ralliement de plusieurs lignes de transports en commun. Vous pouvez rejoindres tous les coins de la ville en 20 minutes maximum. Les gens de la réception répondront avec le sourire à vos questions. Je n'ai pas mangé au restaurant de l'hotel qui me semblait cher mais plusieurs restaurants et marchés d'alimentation sont à 2 min de tram ou 10 minutes à pied (autour de la station de métro). C'est propre, tranquille et j'y ai bien dormi.

Hotel położony w cichej dzielnicy, ale tuż przy przystankach autobusowych i tramwajowych, oraz stacji kolejki, więc na dojazd do pobliskiej stacji metra nigdy nie czekałem dłużej jak cztery min. W środku hotelu czyściutko, cichutko i nowocześnie. Jak za takie pieniądze pokoje bardzo duże i bardzo wygodne. Świetny widok z okna (mieszkaliśmy na 14-ym piętrze). Pomimo, że doba hotelowa zaczyna się o 14-ej, zakwaterowali nas już po 10-ej jak tylko dotarliśmy do hotelu. Gorąco polecam.

Hotelli oli siisti, vaikka ei ihan siltä miltä kuvissa näytti. Hyvien kulkuyhteyksien varrella eli raitiovaunu lähti edestä. Metsoasema oli kävelymatkan päässä ja keskustaankin pääsi kävellen mutta jo hieman pidempi matka. Vierestä lähti myös juva vuorelle joka oli aika mielenkiintoinen kokemus. Junan toisesta päätepisteestä kannattaa ottaa raitiovaunu takaisin. Aamiainen oli tunsas mutta mielestäni kallis, 9€ / hlö. Kokonaisvaikutelma hyvä ja suosittelen!!

The Hotel Budapest was once one of the finest hotels in town. It seems as though it hasn't been renovated in many many years. This gives it a real eastern european flair to it - which is charming in a way. The rooms are kept clean and fresh, so no complaints there! And the location is great - not too far from downtown - with a tram stop right in front of the entrance. The view from the rooms are also worth mentioning, as you can see almost the entire city from your window! I would recommend this hotel for anyone with a low budget who still values quality.

D. berühmte Ungarische Gastfreundschaft kommt immer am bessten an im d. Hotel! Das Hotel liegt Nähe d. Metro Lienie, damit mann kann schnell überallhinn. Ruhige Lage, gute Service, gutes ungarisches Essen. Auf jeden Fall Emflehlenswert.

Propre, bien tenu, style un peu ancien mais excellent service. Chambres très propres et bien entretenues. Proximité ligne de métro et tram.

Een al wat ouder hotel, maar keurige kamers en vriendelijk personeel. Geweldige ligging en zeer goed openbaar vervoer direct voor de deur. Ook gunstig voor het maken van een uitstapje naar de Huvosvolgy (met de kindertrein). Restaurant niet bezocht ivm boeking zonder ontbijt en de vele mogelijkheden in de nabijheid om uit te gaan eten. Een aanrader voor een ieder die een goed en betaalbaar hotel zoekt dat ook nog eens zeer gunstig gelegen is.

Bel Hotel, tout confort, personnel tres serviable et agréable. Arrêt de Tramway et de Bus juste devant. Petit-dejeuner trés copieux, restaurant offrant un bon rapport qualité/prix. Parfait pour un séjour touristique réussie!

Godt hotel - godt at bor i suiterne på toppen. Havde lidt problemer med air-con. men det blev ordnet. Hotellet ligger fint i forhold til at komme rundt i byen. Hotel er i fin stand og et imødekommende personale. Det er nemt at køre til - hvis man ankommer i bil.

Das Hotel hat eine sehr gute Anbindung an den staedtischen Nahverkehr, so dass der PKW auf dem Hotelparkplatz ungenutzt stehen bleiben konnte. Das Personal war immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Fruehstueck koennte hinsichtlich Qualitaet und Nachfuellgeschwindigkeit verbessert werden.

Ett hotell som ligger på Buda sidan av floden, ligger inte så centralt. Men har en spårvagnshållplats precis utanför, eller så kan man ta taxi, kostar ungefär 80-120 kr att åka till Pest sidan.
