Grand Hotel Et Des Palmes - باليرمو

This truly is/was a grand hotel. Large, spacious, elegant design. A fun place to have stayed. Staff a little distant, but OK. Located a bit north of the main attractions, but easy enough to walk. We used the buses a bit, but neither hotel nor tobacco shops or one information office had a map of the bus system, which discouraged bus use.

This hotel is a very nice area and its clean, we spend one night and it was fine

One of the grand hotels of Europe this hotel features a great location in Palermo, nice rooms, and generally excellent staff. There are some rough edges such as charging more for internet a third person than advertised and the inherant challenges of maintaining such a large and grand hotel in a modern age. But the value is good, the hotel is historic, and the location is hard to beat.

We loved this fading grande dame. Our room was large, relatively recently renovated, very comfy and quiet. The public rooms are spectacular. The hotel is close to all the sights.

Hotel is beautiful on inside, however, like most of europe, maintenance is not a top priority. Room was nice, and large by comparison with typical for area. Staff seemed to have a very high opinion of the hotel and themselves. Told they have no adapters for electicity, however, there is a store around the corner that I could go in the morning to buy one. Good location. Pretty interior.

Our stay here was wonderful. Everyone was very helpful. Our Maid was very pleasant and friendly even though there was a language difference. The breakfast buffet was fabulous. They had everything and anything you could want even eggs made to your order, bacon, sausage, cheese, ham salami, all sorts of pastries, breads, jellies, fruits of all kinds and also juices. They brought you the coffee of your choice. There is nothing you could want that wasn't there.

This is a grand hotel with a beautiful lobby, great breakfast and a good location. I would definitely go back at the same price.

This is a classic Palermo hotel in good shape. The price we paid seemed almost to good to be true.

A wonderful old building in Palermo. Impressed by the scale of the public areas but they did seem a little austere and hallway carpets ready to be replaced. The room was excellent being comfortable and all fittings in good condition and of a high standard. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I would be more than happy to use this hotel again.

Exellent vakue, comfort and location

Do not hire a car to try and find this hotel, take advantage of a transfer in and hire your car at a later date. We hired a car which we then parked up for 2 days as driving in Palermo is something else. Hotel charged us 42 euros to park the car but they parked it and retrieved it for us unscathed!! Excellent helpful staff, great buffet breakfast, couldn't fault the hotel at all .

The Grand Hotel Et Des Palmes is an elegant old hotel in a very good location. Our room was spacious, attractively furnished, and very comfortable. I really appreciated having a bathtub, rather than just a shower. The breakfast buffet was the best of the 6 hotels on this trip. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

We arrived late so it was important to have somewhere welcoming and comfortable. It was both. Staff are very friendly and not at all snooty. Rooms are classically decorated and the lobby and restaurant stunning.

By far the best breakfast we had on our vacation. Beautiful lobby. Helpful staff. The carpet in our room was pretty dirty tho

I concur with another reviewer who said it was the best breakfast in his 5 hotel itinerary; it was excellent. The dining room staff were very friendly as was the rest of the staff. One man at the front desk was not as friendly as the rest but everyone else was very helpful The room and bath were both beautiful and very clean. I wouldn't hesitate staying there again. Location was excellent in walking distance to shops, restaurants and cultural & historic places.

Checking in was easy, but when I got to my room and saw the spots on the floor of the bathroom, I called housekeeping. The spots were still there when I got back later that evening. I told the front desk about it and they acted like they would follow up, but for the 2 days there they dirty spots remained in room 335. When I asked the concierge for a map and location of the Palermo Botanical Garden, he circled the city center and tossed the map to me. The Botanical Garden was actually about 2 miles from the city center and was clearly marked on the map. The staff was abrupt, short, and acted like they couldn't be bothered. The dirty bathroom was a major disappointment.

Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereite Personal. Gute Lage des Hotels und ein schönes Ambiente in der Eingangshalle. Zimmer sind renovierungsbedürftigt.

Das etwas in die Jahre gekommene Luxuxhotel ist ein Erlebnis. Sehr zentral gelegen sind viele Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuß erreichbar genauso wie das Kneipenviertel. Ohne Einschränkungen weiter zu empfehlen

バスタブは無く、シャワースペース(シャワーブースではなく、2隅をカーテンで閉めるタイプ)はとても狭くて使いづらい。しかもぬるいお湯しか出なかった。その天井は一部めくれあがって汚かった。メンテナンス不足は否めない。中庭に面した窓からの景色は殺風景。「デラックスルーム」という感じではなかった。名の知れた一流ホテルのはずなのに値段が安いのは、こうしたことからか。一方エントランスやダンニングルームはとてもゴージャス。在りし日の栄華が偲ばれる。そういう意味ではパレルモらしいホテルと言えるか。

ホテルで換金を依頼したら、法外に安いレートでした。文句を言ったら、悪びれずに返してくれました。イタリア人らしいですが、ホテルのフロントでもごまかされます。 ホテル自体はクラシックな伝統を感じるところでした。

en positif: Hôtel confortable et assez bien placé, réception accueillante et francophone, service de parking payant mais bien organisé. en négatif :La qualité au petit déjeuner est un peu décevante , et l'Internet est payant.

Très bel établissement. Bonne situation dans Palerme. Proche centre historique, magasins et banques. Magnifique hall de réception, superbe salle de petit déjeuner, chambre et salle de bains spacieuses. Excellent petit déjeuner (grand choix salé et sucré... très bonnes viennoiseries et jus de fruit frais à la demande). Un bémol : mauvaise insonorisation des chambres donnant sur rue. Autre point négatif : Une partie de l'hôtel est en cours de rénovation, on nous a d'abord attribué une chambre dans l'un des couloirs en cours de rénovation, nous avons eu un mal fou a trouver le numéro de la chambre en question, nous avons du redescendre avec nos bagages et après avoir demandé au personnel avec insistance que l'on nous montre où était cette chambre introuvable, une personne a daigné nous accompagner, il s'agissait d'un couloir en travaux et nous n'aurions pas pu trouver seuls. nous ne pouvions même pas passer avec les valises car il y avait des outils partout... service vraiment très moyen pour ce type d'établissement. Nous avons quand même obtenu un changement de chambre pour la 2ème nuit (chambre parfaite).

Hotellet ligger på en central gata som heter Via Roma och den är en väldigt lång gata med mycket butiker och enkelt att orientera sig. I och med att staden i övrigt är relativt tyst och sliten, är det skönt med ett hotell som ligger i ett fint och lugnt område. Gångavstånd till alla sevärdheter. Fräschaste lobbyn i hela staden med duktig personal (ha tålamod med engelskan). Bra frukost i fin miljö med Gott kaffe och fräscha råvaror. Många restauranger i närheten. Rekommenderar starkt att be om ett rum i en nyare sidan av hotellet eftersom den verkar nyrenoverad. Att få bo en vecka på detta hotell påverkade starkt vår upplevelse av staden Palermo. 5 av 5 solar!

Excelente ubicación y tradicion siciliana

El hotel esta muy bien hubicado y recuerda a la epoca antigua. Se respira lujo en el ambiente. La unica pega es que la habitación tenia un venta muy pequeña y miraba a un patio interior.

The hotel in the senter of Palermo in a main street. Short walking distance to everything. Nice hotel in the old style with excellent breakfast in a beautfiul dining room. Our room was fine. Some receptionist could have learned to smile. :)

Le charme d'un palace un peu désuet et plus très frais, mais néanmoins avec de beaux restes... Superbe rez de chaussée, meubles d'époques, beaucoup de charme... Bien placé un peu à l'écart de l'ultra-centre, près des arrêts de bus de Politeama et d'un quartier chic. Un regret: le petit déj n'est clairement pas à la hauteur, les jus de fruits chimiques à souhait

Très stylé, ambiance surannée, on a l'impression de revenir un siècle en arrière. Très belle chambre, excellent petit déj.

Tres satisfait

Très faciIe d'accès puisque le bus au départ de l'aéroport vous dépose à quelques centaines de mètres . Idéalement situé pour visiter la ville ; très pratique aussi car situé juste à côté des principales lignes de bus ( on recommande le ticket journalier) . Par-exemple on met 2 minutes pour rejoindre l'arrêt du bus qui mène à Mondello (plage, superbe !). Un décor mythique fabuleux, un peu vieillissant par endroit...chambre très confortable . Le personnel est charmant et à l'écoute ( une exception avec un membre âgé de la réception durant nos 2 séjours), sympathique avec les enfants, on pense à Giuseppe et Domenico de la réception et à l'équipe du petit-déjeuner . Le petit-déjeuner est copieux et il satisfait tous les goûts . Le bar est agréable mais les tarifs un peu élevés . Plusieurs bars ou salon de thé supers à proximité ; on recommande la cafeteria regina, déco simplissime,propre, rue attenante, qui présente un choix varié pour les repas à un tarif raisonnable . Nous avons testé le brunch du dimanche : un délice toutefois nous n'avons pas eu l'opportunité de tester le restaurant . Nous espérons avoir le plaisir d'y retourner bientôt .

emplacement idéal, acceuil parfait

hotel belle epoque , plein de charme des fastes d'antan! chambre grande, confortable, trés calme( pas de vue, donnant sur des machineries sur cour intérieure), petit déjeuner dans 1 trés belle salle avec tout ce qu'il faut! situation trés correcte si vous n'avez pas peur de marcher, tout se fait à pied! la gare est à à peu prés 1km(car la via roma est très longue) rien à dire!! c'était parfait!

El hotel es caro para lo que es, personal agradable, las habitaciones pasables, con el baño pequeño y un más que desagradable olor a tuberia. No merece la pena incluir el desayuno en la reserva, ya que supuestamente es de 7 a 10 pero no cumplen horarios (a las 7:15 no están listos y a las 09:30 están listos para cerrar) por no hablar del café, que para estar en Italia... un crimen...

First we got the worst room in the hotel with no view at all or directly into the wall in tha back yard.This was a room that should't be used in a 4 star hotel except for storing equipment.We asked for a new room and the staff was very helpfull with that.The new room was really an upgade and in another league and very nice.Close to the city centre, post office, shopping and restaurants.

Fint hotell med väldigt bra frukost och trevlig personal. Dock är det ganska slitet.

ホテルの入り口を入ると、広いロビーがあり、右手に受付がある。大抵のスタッフは英語でも対応してくれ、観光客への対応も満足のいくものであった。 朝食は広間を抜けた、解放感あるレストランで、豊富な種類の朝食で満足しました。 ショッピング街にも近く、大抵の場所は歩いて回れる利便性のよいホテルです。 次回パレルモに滞在することがあれば、また泊まりたいホテルです。

conoscevo già l'albergo per motivi di lavoro ed ho voluto tornarci con mia moglie, per diporto, grande albergo di tradizione con una importante storia alle spalle, centralissimo vicino a Piazza Politeama, a pochi passi dalla Vucciria, famoso mercato palermitano. Per un fine settimana romantico è quasi una tappa d'obbligo; assolutamente da consigliare. Maurizio ed Elena ps dall'aeroporto ho preso il pulman di linea che si ferma a 200 metri dall'albergo, pulito, puntuale, autisti educati ( ho anche telefonato alla direzione per complimentarmi )
