great time quiet comfortable

very good - I have stayed here numerous times and have only once been kept awake by sirens (obviously not the hotel's fault) - the rooms at the back are quieter.

We stayed for one night and we were pleased to find that the reviews on the hotels.com were accurate. This is an older motel, but the rooms are clean and the beds Very comfortable, the staff, friendly and helpful. Even though it is close to a busy highway we found it quiet.

were I was very pleased with the mattresses and the pillows. The price was super reasonable and the rooms were very clean.

For a lower cost Inn The Blue ridge exceeded my expectations, free wifi, swimming pool, clean and friendly and very close to most of Victorias attractions.

This is an older motel that has been kept in good shape with quiet, clean, comfortable rooms and free parking. Staff are always efficient and helpful. On bus route to downtown; walking distance to a variety of restaurants; good shopping centre across the street. No air conditioning if you care- this IS Victoria after all! Fridge, coffee maker, coffee, tea, shampoo and soaps all supplied (no hair dryer). We like the location as our business was on the outskirts of town so we didn't need to fight the traffic. Have stayed here before and will again.

This was an "okay" place to stay, but not great for the rate. The nonsmoking room very definitely stank of smoke, and otherwise felt old although the mattresses were in good shape.

At first glance it looks like just an old motel motor lodge, but it was clean. The carpets, bath, beds, everything. Yes it's old, but for the price in a very expensive place like Victoria, it's great. The beds were comfortable and the price was ok!

Upon arriving at the Blue Ridge Inn I was very disappointed because I then realized that it was in fact a motel and not a hotel. It may have been my own ignorance for not knowing that this was meant in the word "Inn". But, it was a real downer on my first weekend away from home in a year. As a motel, the staff was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and did a very good job. The rooms were really nothing special and they were overlooking a used car lot. The guests under my room were smoking in their non-smoking room and the smell was very strong in our room. If you just want a place to sleep that is a 10 minute car or bus ride from the centre of Victoria, it's just fine. The service is really the highlight-I can't say enough how nice and helpful (and ever cheerful) everyone was. If you are looking to feel like you are having a special weekend away, do not book here.

The staff was very nice and helpfull, including cleaning staff. Quaint older motel. Nice little fridge and microwave. Comfortable bed. Only complaints: musty old smoking room smell (we opened the room up each day when we got there and it aired out well) and it's definately a hike from the sights of downtown victoria. Nice for the price.

Great location to attend show at the arena. Beds nice and comfy, coffee in room, indoor pool, and very clean. Would stay again for sure.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Easy to find, it is right on the main street. It was a great stay. Right across the street from a shopping mall and restaurants close by, walking distance. Also a swimming pool to enjoy. All at a reasonable price.

This hotel was very good - clean and comfortable. Although a little way out of central Victoria, we had a car so this wasn't a problem. We used the laundry facilities. We didn't enjoy the smoke which wafted up towards our room when the room cleaners sat and smoked near our room during their break. This needs to be fixed.

We had a great time at Blue Ridge Inn. The room was very nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is not at a walking distance from downtown, but you can easily park for free anywhere in town for blocks 2 hours, or take a cab for 10$ and party!! Great place overall.

We were very impressed with the cleanliness and comfort of this hotel. It was close to everything we wanted to do and the staff was very friendly. We will definitely stay here again.

Would certainy stay here/ recommend to friends for basic sort of accomodation. Bed and room quite comfortable and location on Douglas St convenient to town or getting to other points of interest. Coffe and teaa availabel in the room along with micxrowave and fridge- don't know how many rooms have these, but we enjoyed the amenities. Only drawback was being able to hear guests walking around on the floor above ours(for us it was not a problem as we settled down late ourselves).

Very nice staff. Room was clean but older and there was no air conditioning. (Didn't notice it being too hot because I was gone days and the nights were cool. I was there in late July.) About a 2 miles from downtown. I had a car so was glad for ample parking and that it was not as busy as downtown. Easy to find and to navigate from. Grocery, Walmart and several bakeries nearby.

We stayed at the Blue Ridge Inn for 2 nights in June 2010 during a visit of Victoria. I picked this place from online search because of the reviews, and both my wife and I were really happy about the place. This is not a 5 star hotel, and doesn't pretend to be, but after seeing so many motels/hotels where so many things seem to fall apart because "no one cares", it was so refreshing to spend a couple night in this lovely simple hotel. The room was very large, with a little balcony, a little nook at the entrance with a refrigerator, coffee machine, etc... and a very clean and nice bathroom. If only all hotels could be so clean. Then, the staff was outstanding. Initially planning on spending one night, I had to make an extension for one more night (too many things to do in one day in Victoria...), so when I called the front office in the morning to ask if the room we were in was available for one more night, I was told it was not, but they would be able to change some reservation to make it available so we don't have to move, what a time saver. When I went in person to the front office to pay for the room, the person there couldn't be any more polite (and he was not faking...), when I asked about recommendations of things to visit, he went through a whole list, gave me a detailed map and even organized a free shuttle ride downtown so we wouldn't have to drive and pay for parking. Service of a 5 star hotel for fraction of the price... While we stayed, someone repainted the white stripes on the parking lot, they didn't have to but they must have thought it would look nice and refreshed. I also enjoyed the indoor swimming pool. If it had been a little warmer, you can even open the huge glass garage door to make it an indoor/outdoor pool. The price was reasonable, it could have included some sort of breakfast for an even better bargain though. This is an average Inn who's best point was that it had a heated swimming pool. As a sister of the Accent Inns there was a shuttle service to town but this only ran 3 times per day. The bus stop was only about 50 metres away and for a few dollars it would take you down town. The Mayfair shopping centre is across the road and it has a food court. Denny's is near the bus stop. KFC (not recommended) also close. If you happen to get a room on the Francis st side you have to put up with a car dealership which has its lights on all night. For a budget priced Hotel expect budget priced service. Disconnet the phone as they get crossed lines all the time which result in late night calls and wrong room connections.

A wonderful hotel for the price! Staff was friendly, rooms were clean, and it's in a convenient location. Nothing fancy, but as long as everything stays the same, we'll be back!

Staff was friendly and very helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. A real bargain.

Family members staying here due to relative's hospital stay. Staff helpful and available 24/7. Although not a new motel, was well maintained. No a/c but each room had fans. Also, nice to see there were free movies daily, a little laundry, a pool, free internet, as well as coffee makers, microwaves and a little fridge in the room, and the rooms really were a reasonable size. Most had two queen beds. Busy street nearby so not perfect for sleeping esp. on hot nights, but a very good place overall, esp. considering the reasonable price.

The hotel service, the facilities and especially our room all definitely exceeded our expectations. The pool was warm, the sauna hot and although nothing was 5 star/spa quality it was a welcome surprise. The room was very clean, comfortable and everything worked. The manager who checked us in was professional and helpful-- even changed our reservation to a back corner room for less street noise.

We wisten niet zo goed wat we konden verwachten, maar bij aankomst kwam het op mij over als een soort familiebedrijf. Warm welkom en onze kamer was echt verrassend ruim (met mini-keukentje en twee tweepersoonsbedden). Wifi deed het niet in onze kamer, omdat die het verst van the office vandaan lag, maar op de parkeerplaats of het zitje voor kon je wel internetten. Verder waren we erg enthousiast. Jammer dat we op doortocht waren, want Port Alberni zelf is niet zo veel, dat we maar 1 nacht bleven.

Das Personal war sehr bemüht und freundlich. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber, aber für vier Personen etwas zu eng. Leider gab es keinen Kleiderschrank, nur eine Kommode und eine Kleiderstange, so dass wir die Koffer nicht ausräumen konnten. Für zwei Übernachtungen trotzdem zu empfehlen, da es sehr günstig war und es in unmittelbarer Nähe eine gute Busverbindung in die Innenstadt gibt.

Hotel bien localisé. Entouré de ressources (centre d'achats, restaurants, etc.). Particularité: rapport qualité/prix des plus intéressant. Bons services. Piscine sur place bien entretenue. Services de cinéma à la chambre en soirée bien apprécié.

Wir haben das Hotel gebucht, weil es günstig war und gute Bewertungen erhalten hatte. Das Hotel entsprach zu 100% der Beschreibung und hat uns in dieser Hinsicht nicht enttäuscht. Die Zimmer sind riesig und mit allem eingerichtet, was man braucht. Einziger Minus-Punkt: es liegt so weit vom Zentrum von Victoria entfernt, dass man nur mit dem Auto hinkommt. Selbst für geübte Spaziergänger ist die Entfernung ein bisschen zu groß. Ansonsten auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.
