very good value, good free breakfast, clean rooms, good service

Staff was friendly. Was not the easiest location to get to. Old facility but fairly well kept.

Older motel, but rooms in good condition. Clean and safe.

Hotel a little difficult to get to. It was close to downtown and French Quarters. Clean and comfortable. Best hotel I have stayed in for this price in this area. Resturant at entrance does not look very inviting but the food was great had breakfast, don't miss!

This place worked for me, though the major highway limits walking in the neighborhood. Cabs were around $24 to airport and downtown. The room was clean & well-furnished, the bed very comfortable. I overheard reasonable AARP room rates. I spent much time in my room, reading Woody Guthrie's House of Earth, though the pool looked inviting. Adjacent City Diner is a life-saver if you're hungry. My original iron literally fell apart, but a maintenance man brought a brand-new one in a jiffy. Wake-up call never came; fortunately I had an alarm clock as backup. Talked to happy couple who spent 2 months there while their house was remodeled. Cooing doves on the balcony railings. Good deal all around.

We enjoyed our stay, The room was very clean and beds were very comfortable. We had some noisy neabors, but that not the hotel's fault. Over all a very good 4 day stay.

No complaints over all. Car had some items stolen but nothing of particular value and It appears to have been left unlocked. When closing the curtains I noticed some personal items left in the room by a previous guest hidden behind a curtain when I closed them. Nothing particularly disgusting. Will stay there again.

It was difficult to get to with all the confusing entrances and exits and one-way streets, but it was clean, the people at the desk were competent and helpful and was affordable.

I had to wait for the room to be cleaned. Also, some of the lamps/lights and power receptacles did not work. While I had to wait for the room to be cleaned, it was cleaned very well.

We stayed 3 nights. The first morning the maids came to make up the room, but we found that we didn't have a new supply of the coffee and our trash can wasn't emptied. The second morning when the maids came by we needed a few more minutes, and they said they would return in half an hour after we left. When we returned at the end of the day it was apparent they hadn't come at all! We needed our coffee and towels restocked, so we called the front desk for fresh ones. The lady at the desk was nice, but said we should come meet her at the desk for new items. That seemed odd to have to go outside in order to get what we should have already received. Once at the front desk we were told that someone had "signed off" on not doing the maid service for that room, implying that we had signed it. We got excuses instead of apologies. Then we had to follow her as she went to the maids closet for more supplies, leaving the front desk unattended. We got what we needed, but it made us seem like an inconvenience for her. Also the continental breakfast is pretty sparse.

In town for business, room was better than expected, nothing within walking distance of hotel. Breakfast was ok. Only draw back was a musty smell that is not uncommon in this area.

Overall very good -except carpet a little ??sticky or damp??

My stay was ok. on Saturday I left the room about 10:00AM and return about 6:00 PM to find that my room had not been clean. I reported it to the desk service, and was told that the house keeping was gone for the day and would not be back untis the next morning. They me a set of towel and that had to do for that day.

It's in a really wierd place off the highway that is very hard to both find and get in and out of. Aside from that it's clean, got great service, and enough parking .

The staff at this motel are as good as it gets. I came and left by taxi rather than renting a car, and I was warned that taxi service there is not good - wrong! When I checked in, I asked if they would reserve a taxi for the next morning. They did, and the taxi was there at the appointed time, making it clear that the staff cares (and follows through) and the taxi company respects them. The rooms are modest, and the property shows some of its age, but the cleanliness of the rooms is impeccable, and the grounds are meticulously cared for. The free continental breakast is ample, but the diner next door (directly across the parking lot from the hotel entrance) is open 24 hours and provides a modestly priced substantial breakfast. For the price, it doesn't get much better. The only disadvantage is the drive to places like the French Quarter, but it is easy to get to and close to the Causeway - for folks headed to the North Shore.

I did not have a problem with the hotel. The price was good but you still had to travel a little bit to anything. My only complaints, some of the towels were stained yellow. Also, there was a wet spot by the bed so every time I went to stand up, I would step in it. Did not know what it was. I recommend this hotel and would sleep in it again.

The was a MOTEL. And cigarettes were left in the room. NOT what hotels.com portrayed!

The hotel was one of the more economical choices of those available. It is an older hotel and older style, but the location was very convenient. Right off Causeway with great access to all of the city and the rooms were very clean. New carpeting, comfortable beds, clean sheets, fresh paint. Being older, the rooms open to the parking lot, which is older style and the lobby was small making it necessary to bring breakfast back to the room. But for the value, it was an excellent choice. Will stay there again.

oom was fin for my purposes. Place a little older, but overall clean nd comfortable. Night staff was very friendly and accomodating (I arrived after midnight). Location not great if planning a longer stay but for a place to sleep, shower and get on the road it is fine.

One of the best assets is the City Diner next door! Awesome food, service and I finally got some southern hospitality there!!

The rooms were not clean at all. We checked in super late because our flight didn't get in until 11pm. We got there and there was a security guard that unlocked the door to the main office to let us in. (It didn't really make us feel safe). The room I requested was non-smoking and I got a smoking room. There were ashes on the floor the desk and the table, and the sink was dirty. The next day we left and came back to our room, thinking they would clean it. They just gave us new towels! I don't reccommend this hotel. We stayed here because this was the only hotel in town that was available.

This is an old hotel that badly needs remodeling. But I guess you get what you pay for. We asked for non-smoking but the only thing left was a smoking room, which was disgusting. It's in a conveinent location, but that's the only good thing about this hotel.

Loved this place. A simple night in the big city was all that I wanted. I was in town for a day of golf with my cousins. Not wanting to make the 2 hour drive back home, I checked into motel around 6PM. Lady at front desk was very sweet and friendly as I check ed in. My room was clean and spotless and looked inviting as I opened my room door. Great place to relax at the end of the day. Location was perfect for a quick run into the Crescent City. Just a 12 to 15 min. run down I-10 and I was eating at one of my favorite restaurants on Canal Street. After a great meal it was back to the Motel to call it a night. Room was fairly quiet, but with it being a older motel building, I expected to hear a few bumps through the walls like at any other Motel stay that I have had over my lifetime. This place was perfect for me and truly met all of my needs. I look forward to staying there again next Time I get back to New orleans.

The ladies at the front desk were nice, but it was not enough to make up for the motel. Yes, it's a motel, don't be fooled. There were dirty towels left in the bathroom, the air conditioner didn't work right, and the neighbors were loud. They liked to stand on the balcony and talk loudly, while we were trying to sleep in the room. I even opened the door and told them we were still sleeping, but they just gave me a mind your own business look.

Adequate hotel. You will not be blown in either a good or bad way. Pros: Decent price, breakfast, cafe next to it, convenient...10 minutes from French Qtrs & close to mall and other places, free parking. Cons: Simple, staff bland (not a lot of please and thanks you) not enough towels, moderately clean room, not appealing to the eye, old hotel. This is a 2.5 star hotel in a 3.5 star location. I would stay in it again if I had to, but will most likely pay an additional $20-30 next time for a better hotel.
