La Quinta Inn Austin Oltorf - أوستين

I would not recommend this hotel. It is close to downtown but not really close enough to walk, if you have that in mind. Some of the staff at the front was extremely unprofessional and they were saying things in front of us about cleaning the rooms that they should be ashamed of. It seemed like everyone else who was checking in at the same time as us was having problems and the staff was rude back to them. The room had stains everywhere and the staff didn't do much to clean during the day. The area of town did not seem to be too bad and it was just a short drive from downtown. The beds were comfortable. The cable was ok. The continental breakfast was bad. It wasn't the worst but I think you could probably find something better.

While this is an older property, it has been somewhat upgraded. Our room was spacious, though needed a thorough cleaning of the carpets. Desk clerk Djae was absolutely incredible with her customer service--the hotel does not have a business center with which we could print our boarding passes. Djae allowed us to use her personal computer to do so! Breakfast was simple but adequate; more space is needed, though.

The staff was very nice. It was a great place to rest for the night... Nothing fancy but just easy. The carpet in the room was a bit gross but it was fine for what you paid for. The wifi was not bad all in all.

This property is old...but it is clean, the beds have been upgraded and are comfortable. Towels are thin. Front desk staff was curt..and very tired so not very good to help us. Breakfast is adequate with waffles, toast and bagels, fruit, yogurt, juice and coffee. This place is a good value for money spent!

No Internet when we were told free wifi. I specificslly booked a place that had wifi so I could work. besides no internet there were no outlets to plug my computer into except in the bathroom. Good things there is a starbucks across the street... No trash bags. Door was falling apart so coming in and out required brute force.

The hotel was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. My wife and I stayed there whilst visiting Austin for a festival. It was inexpensive and easy to get to.

This was a poor choice. Did not get a nonsmoking room as requested they did move us to another hotel. But we bailed on that one too.

Hotel is in a good location and room was adequate for the price. Front desk employees were not overly friendly and it takes them forever to answer the phone, they put you on hold for an extended period, etc. The hotel does need some cosmetic repairs but wasn't bad overall. The room was fairly clean except for the carpet stains (which looked like blood or red nail polish.....I wasn't sure and probably didn't really want to know!) Also, we left our room for a good while during the day and housekeeping never did get to our room to even make the bed so we had to ask for clean towels and toiletries since they never made it to our room. We didn't get down to breakfast so I can't comment on that but it looked to be your standard continental breakfast. Didn't use the pool or any other amenities.

I travel to Austin several times a year, and have stayed in rooms from $30/Night to $130/Night. We went down this time to attend a conference and then fish. When I placed the reservation with Hotels.com, I was asked when I would be arriving- "30 Minutes" I told her. We were coming into town and I needed a place to change clothes before heading to the seminar. It was around 7:30am and they would not let us check in. I understand that is early to check in, but I wish I had been told by the reservation lady (Hotels.com?) that I would not be able to do it. I changed in the bathroom (unintentionally inconveniencing another guest), then headed to our conference. After the event, we returned to the hotel to check in. The receptionist was polite. She checked our specs- Nonsmoking; 2 Beds; First Floor- and directed us to a room within that criteria. I opened the door and before I set foot in it, we were overcome by the stench of a smoky room. We went back to the desk and the lady was apologetic and switched us quickly to a new room. I understand some smokers do it in the rooms despite being told not to, but the cleaning crew should let the front desk and/or maintenance know when that happens. The room slept well, good shower, nice TV. Front Desk ladies were nice, but I wish they had been able to accommodate my early arrival. For the price, I would not recommend this hotel.

it was an older La Quiinta, not updated. Room did not have hand towels. Housekeeping brought them promptly.

This hotel is not the most luxurious around, but its enough for a good night's sleep. It was clean, and everything was in order. But the ambience of the hotel was a bit on the gloomy side. On the bright side, they do have breakfast!

The motel was recently remodeled - at least my room was and it was very nice and clean. I worried I'd get a smoke-smelling room as so many other reviews warned but mine did not smell of smoke. The down side was the internet connection. I was there for business and had to leave the motel both days for a Starbucks so I could get my email and do some work. I complained twice, both times the clerk said they would reboot the routers but nothing ever happened. And this is even after the person who checked me in said my room was the closest to the wireless router. If you need to work while you're away, this motel is not the place to choose.

I was worried about this hotel since it was so cheap, but I figured since I was only staying one night it would be fine - I was totally surprised to fine a really nice, clean, wonderful room. It's a steal for the price! Also very conveniently located to downtown and right off the highway

There was only 1 clerk on site Friday when we checked in. I requested a non-smoking room online, but was stuck with a smoking room which I was not told about. We arrived after 10p exhausted and didn't find out til we walked in the room. The beds were clean and comfortable, but the carpet and other furniture was old and stained. The toilet seat was loose. The base boards were cracked and chipped. It took a long time for the bathroom light to finally come on. There were 2 clerks on duty when we checked out. (They do not have express check out!) Only one could work the computer! The other maintained the breakfast, which was only so so! Won't stay there again!

I was welcome and attended with prompt service. On my way up to my room, I got a view of their machine room that was not appealing to walk past. My room was nice, yet the hole above the baseboard next to the ac unit was discomforting. I did find a few long hairs on the shower wall and the carpet had not been vacuumed well enough because of the leaves I kept stepping onto with my slippers around the desk area and it was clear they didn't clean very well between guests. All in all I would rate their front desk staff very well, yet their housekeeping could use some improvement.

Stayed here during SXSW week. Had two rooms. Both smelled badly of cigarette smoke, and the room upstairs had a leaky ceiling which dripped through onto the carpet during a thunderstorm. Free breakfast gets cleaned up precisely at 9:00a despite having paid an above average rate for a total dive. Free wireless was very good.

Worked great. Very convenient. Clean rooms and great Mexican food next door

The hotel was nice enough, but it needs some repair work here and there. I would stay again if in the area.

Room was not clean. After walking around barefoot in the room my feet were black and maintenance had to be called to unclog the drain. Repeated attempts to get them to clear the drain prevented me from showering. Front desk people were not friendly. La Quinta brags they will check you in early if their is room. The front desk clerk would not be bothered to even look and sent us away for an hour even though there was no one else in the lobby. It appeared to be nothing more than lazy.

I would never recomend this hotel to anyone. First we requested a room with a king bed but there were none available because the rooms had not been cleaned by the maids that day.When we got up in the morning we could not make coffee in the room because the coffeemaker did not have all of its parts. Carpet was dirty. Stool wouldn't flush properly. The list is endless. People from a third world country might have been satisfied. MY BILL FOR THIS ROOM SHOULD BE ADJUSTED!!!!!!!!

I had to change rooms because the AC/Heat didn't work at all! I thought the overall appearance of the rooms and motel was not worth the price! More like some Motel 6 places. The location was great! Breakfast area was very small. Not enough places to sit down.

There was hair all in the bathtub... Very gross

This hotel is close to downtown, but much cheaper than what you'll pay at any of the downtown hotels. No it's not as fancy, but it's clean and looks like it was recently renovated. The staff was also very friendly. If you're looking to stay in Austin on a budget, this would be a good choice.

The staff and employees were all great! No problems. Very attentive. Room was great and at the hotel.com rate for being New Years Eve. Priced right.

Our son's band, Eli Young Band played a concert around the corner at Emos. We had a great time. We will stay there again.

Always book rooms here when in Austin Tx.

Only electricity was lights in bath room and air conditioner. They said they were sorry, very nice people, didn't know why electricity didn't work. Only problem was I paid full price for a complete room, and didn't get one. I think I should have gotten a discount. Can't turn on room lights, no working outlets to charge and run electronics, no blow dryer after shower. Can't use microwave for breakfast as planned. Kind of like camping, but nicer beds.

I had a wonderful stay and look forward to staying again..

Hotel was fine for overnight.. I chose it because I know LaQuinta is going to maintain its standards. I would have preferred a room that didn't have outside access but because I booked through Hotels.com I could not change from the original reservation. Not a big problem but was uncomfortable until I got inside the room. A bargain at the price and last minute arrangement.

super helpful and chill staff! room overlooking a pretty lil courtyard with pool, very comfy bedding. with so much great food in Austin, I did not sample the complimentary breakfast. hvac worked well, toilet was somewhat slow to flush..may have been a "lo-flow" deal though?? I would stay here again!

Room had leftover trash in it. Bad area. Truck window was shattered, and stereo was stolen. Terrible customer service, didn't help at all while trying to contact authorities.

This is a standard La Quinta, but if your room is on the second floor, prepared to haul your bags up the stairs. The room was spacious, but had some housekeeping issures. The breakfast buffet was good. The drive to the airport was smooth. The price was great. We always stay near the airport the night before we depart when we travel. Saves stressing over traffic (and Austin has its share of traffic issues!)

We couldn't find any other place to stay after making a reservation through Hotels.com. The hotel gave us a smoking room. The place was filthy. This is 1 star low end motel. Breakfast was skimpy, sheets were dirty, broken beer bottles in the parking lot, nasty carpet. We wore our flip-flops in the shower. I could go on but will stop. We felt that we didn't have any choice but to keep the room since it did have 2 beds and everything else was full. I don't think Hotels.com should even have properties this bad on their lists.

we wanted non-smoking and only got smoking and we could hardly stand the smell. the shower did work and the toilet was plugged up. this is the worse la quinta we ever stayed at.

My experience at this La Quinta location was perhaps the worst hotel experience I have ever had...including 3rd world countries. Not only was this location FILTHY, the front desk person was incredibly rude. This person should not be in the service industry. She has not the faintest concept of customer service. The room they gave me was a smoking room even though I had reserved non-smoking. It smelled beyond foul. It was a double bed room where both beds still had the sheets from the previous guest. The carpet had years of grime plus some questionable "foreign" matter by the bed. I had read previous reviews on this location and they were not good. I decided that it could not be that bad as it was a La Quinta hotel. I could go on with further details of the treatment I received but the message is the same. DO NOT STAY HERE...
