Could not have picked a better hotel. Price was fair, room was clean and the location was just perfect.

Had an enjoyable stay at this centrally located hotel. A perfect base for exploring Dublin. Room was spacious and clean with a big bed. Didn't encounter any of the noise issues mentioned on some reviews of this hotel found elsewhere on the web

Very attentive and fast responding service, amazing location and very large room size to be a European hotel, zero minutes to Temple Bar Area, 1minute to O'Connell St. and 3minutes to Grafton St. and a grocery store (beer, liquor and water for your room!) across the lobby entrance...Has is own pub, restaurant and niteclub...Need to say more???...Pretty much PERFECT combo PARTY and FUN with NO waste of walking/cabing time and/or money!!!...

A great hotel with great staff. Can be a little noise from the street but it didnt bother us.

I didn't have a lot of time to do research on hotels in Dublin before I went there for a short-break so I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Although the reviews on hotels.com had been very positive on the whole. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of my room. The location of the hotel was fantastic; I was literally able to walk to all major attractions very easily. The staff was also very helpful and friendly. Quite a few of the reviews before I left commented on the noise of the neighboring nightclub. But I didn't have any problems with this as I asked for a room away from the nightclub and front street. I was only awoken once on my last night by Italian and Scottish Rugby fans who flooded out of the bars and pubs close-by at 2am in the morning! But that had nothing to do with the hotel! So, in summary I would definitely recommend this hotel and plan to stay at it again when I revisit Dublin in the future!

we stayed at this hotel monday to thurs early january. unlike other reviews no noise disturbance at night, although most evenings we didn't return until early hours ourselves. the only noise we heard was the removal of metal beer barrels 2 floors below and this was after 10am. .the room was adequate not overly generous however the hotel is very well placed within the temple bar area. we would stay here again mid week.

Good hotel in a great location - at the east end of the Temple Bar area. 30 second walk to buses and airport shuttle bus. Almost across the street from Trinity University. Best area to stay in while in Dublin!

It would be nice if there was cable TV in the hotel.

Excellent hotel in a great location in the heart of the lively Temple Bar district. The rooms are large, king size beds are comfortable. But ask for a room on an upper floor, the ones closest to the street are very noisy all night long, more from the delivery trucks and roaring air conditioning units on neighboring buildings than the people on the street. The bar was a little disappointing -- too large, loud and disco for us. We visited other smaller, authentic bars/clubs on the street for drinks and live music. We'd recommend the full breakfast in the morning -- nice full buffet with lots of choices.

There was an all night sreet party that kept us awake. The night duty manager was very cordial and gave us a room away form the street for us to sleep ......

During a three night stay -- the first night was filled with early morning supply trucks making incredible noise loading and unloading something. The second night was filled with very loud and bad 80's music from the night club adjoining the Temple Bar Hotel. While the location is very convenient, the lack of sleep ruined the stay.

Great hotel, located right in the heart of the best pubs and restaurants in Dublin. Hotel was great, comfortable beds, clean and very quiet. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. You can't get any closer to the action.

Convenient central location for Dublin sights. Close to the pubs and clubs of Temple Bar which seems to have become the tourist hub of Dublin. The Alchemy nightclub is part of the building so don't expect a peaceful night if you go to bed early!

This hotel is located in the best location in the city center. We asked in advanced for a quiet room and we got it. The crew was very polite. Everything was OK as expected. Yet, 2 items for improvement: 1) The double bed was tiny; 2) The restaurant offers gluten free breakfast, however it was expected me to use the same toaster everybody else are using (which contains free gluten..)

On our trip we stayed for two nights, then went to another location in Belfast, and then back to this property for the last two nights of our vacation. REMEMBER TO ASK FOR A LARGE ROOM AND ONE IN THE BACK OF THE HOTEL! We were so incredibly unhappy the first time we stayed as we were put in the front of the hotel where you could not sleep because of all of the street and live music noise, and the room was rediculously small for two people. When we came back the second time we requested the back of the hotel to get away from the noise and a larger room. We got it, and had a great time!

The hotel room was extreamly small. My husband and I could not ealk past eachother with out bumping into one another. The toilet barely worked. The guy at the front desk was asked for an extention cord and replied no we dont have any, and the bell boy next to him stated that we did and gave us what we wanted. The first guy had no clue about alot of the things we asked for. Our room was directly in front of the hotel and the live music and street noise was so bad that we could not fall asleep until about 1AM both nights we were there, and that was mid week. When we got to our room, it was so ungodly hot a stuffy we had to open our windows as they did not have air conditioning. Over all this was a horrible experiance.

Cons: 1. Wifi (internet) is extremely slow---this is Dublin, not some village in the middle of nowhere 2. the shower water is EXTREMELY WEAK--one cannot enjoy one's trip without a good shower 3. the bed is uncomfortable: the strings are probably mostly broken 4. overall, it is not a hotel that will make you want to return to the hotel after a day of tiring traveling or business conferences. and the rate at which rooms of such quality are available is absurd. Basically the hotel is too old. It either needs to renovate entirely or replace furniture with new ones. Pros: 1. the location is great. It's in the center of Dublin and is very close to Trinity College 2. there is a convenience store right opposite the hotel--and that is fantastic 3. i find the noises okay, one just needs earplugs to ensure comfortable slumbers 4. the breakfast is good (as in most hotels I've stayed in Ireland)

The location is fantastic. One strong warning - ASK FOR A ROOM AWAY FROM THE STREET or you will be awake (as we were) until 2 am listening to the sounds of the bar underneath your window. Very loud! We complained and they graciously moved us the next day. Rooms are comfortable. You have to pay for internet access (1 euro for 15 minutes), go down the street to the internet cafe where you get 30 minutes for 1 euro.

The staff were very friendly, and for the money you would be hard pressed to find a better place. The location is very good; walking distance to many of the sights in Dublin.

The only reason the hotel condition was scored a 4 instead of 5 was due to lobby refurbishment (but even with that it was OK). Other reviews I read indicated it was loud and difficult to sleep, we requested an upper room facing the inside of the hotel, not much of a view but very, very quiet and we had no problems sleeping. The hotel is just on the edge of the Temple Bar District making it a great location for touring and partying both. We parked the car and did not move it until we were ready to head to the Airport. Tons to see and do and prices were good value. Buskers (attached to the hotel) was a great party bar, but very up to date. For a great experience make sure you stop at the Temple Bar (3 blocks west of the hotel), it's 160 years old and probably looks much like it did when it first opened. When we return to Dublin we will deffinately stay at the Temple Bar Hotel again.

Not to be confused with Temple bar. Room is small but bathroom makes up for that. Very nice welcome fruit and water tray. Too loud though. One night of the noise is okay but not 3 in a row. Breakfast was great.

The Temple Bar area is a lot of fun but way too expensive. There is the night life and music and the city bustle all night. But 5 or 6 euro for a beer is nuts. The food however was grand and not as expensive and very adequate portions. This hotel is in the middle of the action exactly. Good choice.

It is a great hotel on one of the busiest and noisiest streets in Dublin. If you don't mind staying up all night, and would rather contribute to the noise, then this is your place! Great hotel.

This was a great hotel, but there is one thing you should know before booking. The Temple Bar is situated in an exciting and lively neighborhood, but it is also quite a noisy one. If you need to get some quality sleep, you may wish to consider another property. The room was clean, comfortable, and well kept. My only complaint was the partying going on outside my window, which literally went all night long. Enjoy your trip to Dublin!

I found the Temple Bar Hotel very comfortable and clean, I would recommend it to my friends!

We had heard the hotel could get quite loud at night so we asked for a room away from the noise. It was quiet and we slept well except for the pillows, they could really use some new ones .

Here u get exactly what you pay for. Cheap and cheerful!! Bar staff could have been friendlier, and our room was to the front of the hotel so alot of road noise with cleaning and deliveries from 5am. apart from that if you just going to a night on the town its perfect location.

Would recommend this hotel to anybody looking to enjoy the busy Temple bar area, it's situated smack in the heart of Temple bar between two nightclubs, so can be noisy if you are looking to go to bed early! However you gain free entry to Alchemy with your room key which was very reasonably priced(Dublin prices anyway), the staff were friendly and extremely helpful! We will definately stay here again on our next visit to Dublin.

Hotel excellent and staff really good. But it is in the heart on the night life so make sure you are happy to stay up late or ask for quieter room.

Right in the middle of Temple Bar area, perfect for people who want animation, and easy accesss to all major attractions (shopping streets, museums,...), I whish I could have stayed longer ...

This is the perfect place to stay if you want to see the sites and pubs of Dublin. All within walking distance. Try to see a band called "The Clan". A great Irish band you will find at the local pubs. The room was big, but be aware, you have to wait until 2 or 3 to check in. No worries, leave your bags and go have fun. One more thing, ask for a room on the quiet side of hotel. I would go back!!! The Irish people are so friendly and helpful. Erin Go Bragh.

Our rooms were next to the street. The noise from the bar next door didn't stop until about 3:30AM each night. The 10 euro breakfast was overpriced for what was offered. The hotel location was convient to many of the things we wanted to see.

I really had a great experience with this hotel. Other reviewers were complaining about noise at night, but i didn't have that problem at all. The location couldn't have been better and the staff was great. I requested an early check-in because our flight was going to arrive several hours before check in time, and they had the room ready for us. The price was great too. And our room was WAY bigger than I expected. I would absolutely stay here again.

After taking a red-eye and being absolutely exhausted, the reception desk worked to get us a room HOURS earlier than check-in, free of charge, so that we could get some sleep before beginning our vacation. It is walking distance to anything and everything worth seeing in Dublin. It was a great hotel and I would stay there again given the opportunity, in a heart beat!

Overall this hotel was great. Walking distance to every major attraction within Dublin, and located right in the midst of the Temple Bar area, a very fun neighborhood. We received just about the best customer service from Oscar, at the front desk, something we weren't necessarily expecting, but certainly added to the overall value and experience of the hotel. The only negative thing to say about the hotel is that it can be very loud late at night with all the party goers just down on the street below- otherwise, fantastic!
