Hilton San Diego Resort & Spa - سان دييجو

We came to this hotel to escape for a quiet weekend. When we checked in, we were handled by Alyssa. She was fabulous! We had reservations for a standard tower room. But when I inquired on possible upgrades, we were offered a bay view king suite for a nominal price. The hotel was sold out due a convention so it was pretty crazy there. She said the room was in a quiet portion of the property. We took her offer and were not disappointed. The view was wonderful and so serene! We were off to a good start. We ate dinner at the hotel restaurant both nights. Service was great and so was the food. The only area we felt the hotel could improve on was the service at the pool. We could not get any help from the pool waitresses. They seemed to cater to certain people and we were NEVER asked if we needed anything! When we finally went to the pool bar ourselves to place an order, we were told the kitchen had just closed. At 3pm on a Saturday? Really??? So we had to leave the pool area and go to the restaurant to eat. That was disappointing! Outside of the pool area, the hotel was wonderful and we would return again.

Overall quite satisfied. Everything one could need was convenient. Many locations and ways to relax within the complex. We were upgraded a bit when our standard room wasn't ready when we arrived--no hassle. Wish that the wireless could reach into the rooms, for those times when sitting in a public area is not convenient. Found the rooms relatively soundproof, compared to other hotels. Given its location and cost of transport from the hotel, might be more economical to rent a car if you plan to sightsee very much.

When we arrived, the room wasn't ready, it was early. The receptionist said he would call when it was ready-he never did. The keys we were given didn't work. The Ice Machine wasn't working, I called the "0" and was told that I should go to another floor...Shower head didn't have much water coming to it, the water was streaming out of the control knob...

Great hotel overall but I was surprised to get hit with an unexpected $60 fee for parking upon arrival. I hadn't factored that into my buy decision and would have chosen something downtown closer to all the restaurants and action if I knew I was going to have to pay for parking.

I put the placard on the door handle for breakfast in the morning. Breakfast never came. Then at night I telephone room service to place an order and was on hold for over six minuets…I had to tap out. Very frustrating. Everything else was perfect. However, the room service and no breakfast was unsatisfying and aggravating.

Staff was rude, unprofessional, and untrained. Made entire stay a nightmare. Do not stay at this hotel

Outrageous parking fee of $32 per night was not disclosed. Large amount "line of credit" was charged to my credit card and not removed for a couple days after check out, also undisclosed. I saw it upon checking my credit card account. My car was vandalized (broken window) in the supposed security guarded parking lot.

We had a nice room over looking Mission Bay. The staff was very friendly. The location was great and easy to get to. We left a robe in the room and the staff was kind enough to find it and mail it to us. We would love to stay there again!

We travel to SD frequently but hadn't stayed here. Great location-easy on/off freeway. Close to airport, downtown. Right on Mission Bay. The rooms are older, but have been renovated and are very nice. We had a large suite with a small patio that looked right out to the bay. Quiet and super comfortable beds. Free self-parking (rare in SD). One downside is no wireless internet in the rooms, but it is available in lobby. The restaurant, pool area and grounds are also very nice. We will return for sure.

1. Location is awesome. Mission Bay is right next to the hotel. 2. Gym was small but had everything you need from cardio to strength excercise. It was very clean. 3. Swimming pool area has a lots of palm trees and fire pits which I liked. Shape of the Pool is designed for more leisurely water activity, but I managed to do some lap swim as well. Overall the hotel was nice and clean. I would go there again.

. My wife and I made reservations online for a little anniverssary getaway. The things we value most in a hotel are cleanliness, good service, and a nicely kept property. In that order. This hotel had none of these qualities when we stayed there. The Good: Right on Mission Bay. Pretty from the OUTSIDE. The bed was actually pretty comfortable. The Bad: The people at the front desk treated me like I was ordering food at Burger King. There were constantly shuttle and cab drivers clogging the area outside the lobby blowing cigarette smoke on us as we walked by. As we were walking to our room in the tower next to the lobby we immediately noticed the walls and doors, especially in the corners, were filthy and full of marks, scrapes, nicks. It was just plain ugly and obvious that no effort was made to maintain it. It really became a nightmare when we got into our room. Here it goes... - The in-room refrigerator was dirty. - The bathroom was dirty. - There were hand and finger prints all over the doors and walls. - Nightstand was left dirty. Needed good wipe-down. - Litter left on floor. - Very slow-running sink drain (almost clogged). - A HUGE (at least 1") gap underneath the door meant you could hear EVERYTHING going on outside crystal clear, and vice versa I would imagine. - We could hear every noise from upstairs very clearly. We could hear, unusually loud, the toilet flush, water running, footsteps, and occasionally the voices above us. - Bed throw cover stained, so it looked really dirty. - The internet didn't work. No wifi here except for in lobby. In the rooms you must actually connect with ethernet cable. Didn't work in our room. But it also means you can't lie in bed and be online. Have to sit at desk. - TV remote was old and broken (had to push buttoms extra hard to get them to work) - The main lamp by the bed (which is also the main light for the whole room) had a broken switch. - Very poor TV reception. - The pool area was littered with bottles and trash. - H

The Hilton San Diego Resort & Spa on Mission Bay is a delightful place to stay. I was initially disappointed by the lack of luxury and small size of the tower room given the high rate we paid. The bathroom was very small with a very shallow tub/shower. The sink and tub drains were slow. There was no switch in the entry to turn on the light in the rest of the room, and walking between the bed and the TV to find a lamp switch resulted in walking into a bench at the foot of the bed. When we checked in we had no bath mat, and we weren't provided soaps after the room was made up. The internet access must be added on. I asked at registration about the business center and was pointed to a tiny nook to the left of the desk. When I asked how much it cost, the receptionist told me to find it and read it in the nook. He was more interested in returning to his conversation with the other receptionist than helping me. However, most of the staff were very kind, and the pool and grounds were very nice. There is a cafe in the lobby open from 7am to 1pm with Starbucks coffee and pastries.

Unless you play golf I would not recommend this hotel. It's not convenient, parking is very expensive and not valet, my room had a hauling noise in the bathroom from the ventilation system that could not be fixed. Except in the summer, there is only one restaurant open. It's not a convenient location, not on the beach. I found it very expensive and not at all inviting. The room only had one chair to sit on inside the room, so watching TV required being in bed. Not confortable. The shower did not have a bar to hold on to. While there the spa's steam room was out of order. Overall expensive for the quality. The staff, except for the front desk, were all firendly and attentive especially in the restaurant.

Beautiful Resort. Well kept grounds, rooms are comfortable with all amenities, pool is beautiful. Lots of extras available for $: Fire on the Beach, Bike Rentals (coaster and built for 4), paddle boats, sail boats, motorized personal water crafts. Wifi was missed, as it is currently only in the Lobby, however will be upgraded in next few weeks. Overnight car parking was $$$, but the same as other resorts we stayed in. Actually it was $5 cheaper than the other hotels in San Diego. Great centralized location to all activities in a secluded area. Located along Mission Bay Park, no other properties of any kind around. We would return if back in the area.

Hotel was nice and the people were very friendly. There was an additional $36 dollar fee for parking and my room was right at the top of the stairs so I heard every person walk by and slam there luggage down the steps. Other then that I had a great time super close to sea world.

Beautiful setting and grounds but the room assigned to us (4) was small and the bathroom tiny.

WE WERE QUITE HAPPY WITH THE FACILITIES. WE GOT A BEAUTIFUL UPGRADED ROOM FOR A GOOD PRICE. THE FOOD WAS GOOD. EVERYTHING APPPEARED CLEAN. THE STAFF WAS FRIENDLY, ESPECIALLY ON CHECK-IN. THE ONLY COMPLAINT WE HAD WAS THE ACCESS TO PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION WAS EXPENSIVE. WE ARE USED TO WALKING TO SITES CLOSE TO THE HOTEL OR HAVING THE HOTEL VAN TAKE US FREE OF CHARGE IN A 5 MILE RADIUS. INSTEAD WE HAD TO PAY THE HILTON VAN TO TAKE US A VERY SHORT DISTANCE TO A TOURIST SITE OR RESTAURANT. THERE WAS JUST NOT A GOOD WAY TO WALK ANYWHERE BECAUSE OF THE WAY THE HIGHWAY SYSTEM IS IN RELATION TO THE LOCATION OF THE HOTEL. WE ARE USED TO THE HILTON VAN PICKING US UP AT THE AIRPORT FREE AND TAKING US ON COMPLIMENTARY SHORT TRIPS TO CLOSE DESTINATIONS TO THE HOTEL. I GUESS WE ARE SPOILED.

I enjoyed the stay at Hilton. Our room was spacious, with a balcony outside, and the service was nice. The only negative point I want to mention is to beware of their shuttle services. They run exactly on time for complementary rides to Seaworld and old town, so don't be late. For other places, however, hotel guest service rep told us that their shuttle would be cheaper than taxies, but it was not true! I would recommend using taxies to go to other places, if you don't have your own car.

Everyone was helpful and happy. Room service was exceptional! Lots of vegetarian options . We even got to use the fire pit on our patio! I will surely return!

The hotel was very nice and my family enjoyed it thoroughly. The location is great. We had a beautiful room that overlooked the bay. It was nice and convenient being right on the sand. The restaurant was excellent. We look forward to our next visit.

I was surprised that the hotel charged $32 a night for parking. That was too excessive. Next time I will park on the street.

We have stayed here before. I got a great rate so I decided to come here again. The staff are always friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable. We especially liked being able to sit out on the balcony.

Very satisfying stay and the restaurant was first class with a complete wine list which included a wonderful 2005 Pessac Leognon from France at a very affordable price.

Thisis my favorite place to stay in San Diego. I get one of the rooms with a patio looking out on the Bay. It is beautiful. The food is good, room service quick and the gift shop is even great.

No valet service or anyone to help with luggage??? $32.00 per day to self park!

Initially, they charged me to park, but removed the charge. You expect to pay a parking fee when staying downtown. Ask about parking when you reserve. Otherwise, the hotel was excellent and a good value.

To be honest, the hotel grounds are beautiful. I could tell my room had recently been updated (but still had old tile and doors). It was clean and the staff was very friendly. I found a unbeatable price on this site, so I feel bad for complaining, but there were a couple of things that really bothered me. (1) I called in advance to see if they provided a shuttle to/from the airport, and they DO but it is not free. I found a great rental car price, so I decided to go the route, only to find out that they charged me $32 a day to park my rental car in the parking lot. For a hotel that is not in the city and had plenty of parking, I thought that was a little ridiculous. (2) When I went to the room, I was trying to find WiFi to logon to, but there were no options. I called down to the desk to learn that I had to pay for internet service and to top it off - it wasn't even WiFi. I physically needed to plug the ethernet cable into my computer, which means I couldn't use my computer in bed or sitting in the comfy chair. I had to sit at the desk in the room. That seems so archaic to me! Who doesn't have WiFi?? (3) The restaurant is beautiful and delicious, but I found my breakfast to be very expensive. Overall, I was traveling for work and needed a hotel that was close to SeaWorld. It took me about five minutes to get there and only 15 to get to the airport. There are great restaurants in close driving distance (but not in walking distance). I recommend this hotel - it's very nice - but be aware of hidden costs!

Beautiful hotel. Great location. Great room service. Clean, safe, quiet and beautiful. This was a great location for our San Diego vacay. It's only a few minute drive to Old Town and it's within walking distance (about a mile) to Sea World. It was was central to everything we did including the airport (15 minutes with traffic), harbor whale watching tour (15 minute drive) and close to Mission beach (Minute Drive). It's located on Mission Bay and there are miles and miles of walking paths along the bay. There are two different children's play areas within a 5 minute walk from hotel. We stayed 9 days at this hotel and it was a great hub for all of the many things we did in the area. Be aware that the hotel charges a daily parking fee (ours was $28/day). It's just something to be aware of. Also, we did not have wireless in our room. There was a cable to plug in for internet, but we only brought an iPad which requires wireless. Again, just something to be aware of. However, there was wireless in the lobby area.

Beautiful property, great price. Got upgraded for a small fee, and so glad we did.

The staff at the hotel was excellent. The food was also very good. Our room was also very comfortable and the surroundings are very relaxing. HOWEVER, Hilton charged us $28.00 a day for parking, which is completely outrageous! What's next, charging for soap and towels? It looks like the hotel industry is going the way of the airline industry, which is incredibly sad. This practice totally lacks class. I will not stay at another Hilton until they stop charging for parking.

We were looking for a hotel to get away from everyday life and were extremely pleased upon arrival. The hotel is situated right on Mission Bay where you have access to lots of water activities or long walks around the bay. The hotel staff is very pleasant and helpfull. Our room was in the one of the villas- we upgraded our room after booking it on Hotels.com upon arrival when we found out that there was no view in our original view. The room was facing the bay however it was a bit chilly. The cold air was coming through the sliding glass doors. We just kept the heater on at a decent temperature and dealt with it. The massage was excellent- I highly recommend their Hot Stone Massage. The pools were heated which made it very enjoyable for everyone on Christmas Day. No major complaints- oh except for the parking fees. $32 dollars per night is a bit ridiculous. Hotels really shouldn't charge for parking unless it's a congested city like NYC. All in all, I would come back again.

Great locations for: SeaWorld, Mission Bay and Belmont Park all just minutes away. Hotel grounds are very werll maintained and the pool area is very kid friendly. We were so happy with the overall value - not too expensive. When we checked in, they even gave us a breakfast voucher! Very happy and would stay there again.

I stayed in this hotel for two nights. I booked a king bed and unfortunately got two queens. To be fair, this is according to the hotels.com policy, that the room type, beds are not guaranteed. After some discussions and declining any additional fees, they gave me another room with a king bed. I was told, that it will take one hour, to clean the room and they will call me, when the room is ready. After two and a half our I returned to the hotel and the room was ready, but I never received a call. However, the first impression of the room was good, but the second view offered several lacks of cleaniness. A chewing gum at the bed table, dirt in the shower and also a lot of dust in the towel shelves. It was late and I was just happy to sleep. The next day in San Diego was great, but upon my return, I had to notice, that there was no room service at all that day. It was late already and I decided to not ask for room service, instead I planned to write a complain. At this time, I am still waiting for any response. The location is good, but be aware of an additional $30 for parking at the hotel. There is no other parking possibility. Food and dinner locations are not in any walking distance or close by.

We were very happy with our stay here. We had put a do not disturb sign on our door for housekeeping but they called at the end of the day to make sure we did not need anything replaced in our room. Decor of the room was nice as well. The only downside to the hotel was the $28.00 parking fee each day. Even though most hotels charge these fees now, I felt like the fee was a bit high.

Our disk keys did not work on two separate occasions during a 24 hour stay. The staff did correct the issue, but late at night with young kids waiting outside for 20 minutes, was not ideal. We got a great deal on the room, but price was bumped up to 5 times the first night rate per room the next night and we left. Very dated rooms. Would not recommend this hotel at all.

Our room had great view and was recently renovated. Only thing I felt the $30 night fee to self park was a little excessive.
