Hilton San Francisco Union Square - سان فرانسيسكو

I stayed here while visiting a friend for her birthday, and i mist admit that because i got the hotel for such a low price relative to other hotels in the neighborhood, i was skeptical of my stay. But as soon as i stepped into the lobby i felt relieved. It was huge and very nice with chandeliers hanging everywhere. I had requested a high floor room with a view and that what i got, the view was amazing. The room itself was nothing fancy but it was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Hotel was un a great location, we walked everywhere. The only negative thing i have to say was that the price of parking was a bit rediculous. But i suppose it is Union Sqaure. Over was a great stay and i would stay again!

We always stay at the Hilton when we come to SF. It has a great location, no hassle to get around. Our room was ready when we arrived at 11:00. Thats great service that we didn't expect. Everything we needed was available for us. Thanks Hilton!

Excellent location. Beds extremely comfortable, and I have back issues. Luxurious bed linens and toiletries. Fabulous city views. Couldn't have had a better experience. Parking pricey though.

Hotel room was just OK. Breakfast was superb -- had everything you could think of from scrambled eggs, fruit and cinnamon rolls to congee, trout and cheeses. It was not your average breakfast buffet. I expected a lot more of the room. We had to change rooms, matress was really soft. We could also hear our "neighbours" talking and a baby crying down the hall. Our new room was a bit of an upgrade, much cleaner, better matress. We had an exterior facing room, so there was a lot more car/traffic noise -- but better than babies crying.

Hotel was nice, centrally located to within close distance of the cities major attractions.

The hotel is close to everything but if you are traveling with your family you may want to consider staying at The Westin instead. The rooms (at least the one we got) are extremely small... No space to put your luggage or move around.

My wife and I both enjoyed all aspects of our 4-night stay at the Union Square Hilton over Christmas. Every member of the staff we interacted with - desk, bellhops, door man, concierge, dining staff, room attendant - was friendly and efficient. Several of them provided helpful advice about bus routes and things to do. It was a real benefit to us that the desk would change large bills for bus fare because SF Muni accepts only exact change. The concierge recommended and arranged a town car to the airport for our departure and that proved to be excellent advice. The hotel has a grand lobby like you don't see so often nowadays and we enjoyed spending some time there watching people pass through. Elevators are fast, which we appreciated after some experiences with long waits at other places we've stayed. The room was spacious and had everything we needed. We were fortunate enough to have a fine view westward from the 28th floor, which made it even better. The brunch had more selections than we expected and was very satisfying, especially the orange juice! The location is a few blocks from Union Square but had the advantage that it is across the street from the car rental agencies so it was a very easy matter to pick up and drop off a car. Much more convenient and lower cost than renting at the airport. Our only complaint, which was a nuisance more than anything, is that the tub and toilet drained very slowly. They would do well to look into the condition of the plumbing. Overall, the Hilton gives every feeling of being first class hotel. We enjoyed it as much as any stay we can remember.

We took our very young granddaughters to San Francisco for a couple of days and wanted to be near Union Square. We had stayed at this hotel before and knew it was just what we wanted. Staff was very nice, room was very clean, tight, but clean. We had a wonderful city view from the twenty-third floor. Starbucks located in the lobby. Foley's Irish House within a block, Union Square a block and a half. Great location. Parking across the street from the hotel and near the theaters.

Excellent stay in a great location. Ease at check-in and parking. Breakfast brunch that was included was a surprise and very good! Will definately stay again!

They had a very accomodating staff. We had two rooms that were originaly on separate floors. They upgraded one room at not extra charge so we were next to each other. The entire hotel was nicely decorated for the holidays. It is close to Union Square, great restraunts and pubs. Cable car accessis two streets away on Powell. My only issue was the cost for parking. They get you there. My suggestion is to check in and park in a city lot or across the street. You don't need a car in San Francisco. The transit system is awesome.

The hotel is a block away from the beautiful and famous Union Square, within walking distance to the Powell Bart station and the trolley station! I was skeptical about the hotel due to other reviews but I am so glad we stayed here. My boyfriend and I loved the fact that it was within walking distance to so many locations. The gym was awesome I was able to run 10 miles on the treadmills. The only suggestion I have is for cheaper guest parking- it was $47.00/nite plus 14% occupancy fee. And the breakfast buffet although plentiful in options were cold. They need burners for their food containers to keep warm while people keep opening the lid letting the hot air out. Other than that I loved it and will be back soon. We stayed on Tower 1, 12th floor. So street noise was limited since we were higher up.

The hotel was nice and had many amenities. I liked the complimentary access to the gym and cleanliness. The location is also close to Union Square which is nice. Hotel security was not very friendly and tended to be slightly tense at times. The hotel is adjacent to Taylor Street which has many questionable looking people walking up and down the street at all hours of the night. Reports of people getting assaulted on Taylor Street also kept us from walking down this street. We went to the Golden Gate Theater and had to take a taxi back home because of the neighborhood. If you know which places to avoid, this is a good hotel. Parking is $32/night so plan in advance. Overall, this hotel is a 4 star, I just wish more could be done to shuttle people to Union Square and the theaters.

Expected more from the Hilton. Weird decor. Broken heater, which was fixed. Cleaning supplies left out. Not bad, but not great.

Awesome hotel. It was under construction, but they were very accomodating and put us in Tower 1 which wasn't being renovated. The neighborhood is right on the border of the Tenderloin, but blocks from Union Square. It's a great location if that doesn't bother you. Decorated to the nines for Christmas. Great breakfast included in our stay. We got two rooms which were only 2 doors down from each other.

The location is really good, but be careful when you check in that they don't give you an older room in one of the older towers.

The entire floor stank, and the stank got all over my clothes. The next morning everyone said I smelled like a cheap motel. The location is great, staff is awesome but the quality of the place is no better than a motel 6.

great location to walk around the city or catch the trains

The hotel is really old and the room we got was really in a really noisy corridor. There were weird people on that floor and we would be up all night because of the noise. In addition, the internet connection wouldnt work even after we paid for it. Really poor connectivity in the room for cell phones as well. Overall a disappointment for the price we paid. The location is good since it close to the shopping area but a few blocks north are really shady full of homeless people.

Loved the location! A block off Union Square. Room was very small for family of four. Pool is outside but open year round and heated nicely. All in all, a great place to stay but small.

I stayed here recently with two friends and loved it. The lobby was busy and pretty, the rooms were well appointed and fresh and we really enjoyed having drinks and dinner at the Urban Tavern on the lobby level. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I would definately stay here again. The location and energy of this well maintained hotel you simply can't beat.

Squeaking bed in room upstairs kept me up most of the night. Is this a hotel or a brothel? Distance to room was unacceptable. Hotel was too big for my liking.

Nice that the hotel was in union square and close to lots of shopping but was disappointed in the quality of the room for the price we paid for the night, also the price for valet parking is rediculous! The other thing is the restaurant for breakfast was way overpriced and the food was just alright...I think I will not be staying there again :( I'm surprised that this hotel is rated as a four star, I'd say a three star at best!

The Hotel was very nice, clean we had a great view from the 34th floor! The location was fantastic, very close to union square. The big problem though is a big one for me, the Noise! We had 2 very rough nights sleeping because of the noise from the hall. and it wasn't that people were being noisy, just that it is an older bldg and you can hear every time the elevator doors shut, every time someone goes in or out of their room, every tiny noise echoes through the halls

Very nice hotel, busy and crowdy BUT the room is very quiet and it was really pleasant to have a drink at the next door ! worth of your money, great location in the center.

Overall excellent but minibar poorly stocked,not as good as in the past.no robes either like in the past.evrythi9ng else and service great,confortable.

I can't count the amount of ambulences that drove by in that one night we stayed

My room still had full trash cans and used wash rags from the previous tenants. It was very over priced for the quality of service.

Wonderful stay, excellent staff, great location & comfortable rooms!

The hotel was good, but I would have expected more for a 4-star hotel and the price we paid. Our room was located close to six elevators, which meant constant noise from the moving elevators. It was not too bad, but again too much for a hotel that wants to carry 4 stars. What I think was definitely below standard was the bed. Both my wife and I woke up with back pain. I often stay in 3 star hotels and never have that problem, so the bed was absolutely unacceptable. Other than that everything was as expected, still very expensive but it is San Francisco and I think it's hard to find anything a lot cheaper if you don't drastically lower your quality standards.

The hotel was in good shape but in a terrible location. It was right next to what the locals call the tenerloin. Crack haven. I walked through the area at 4:00 pm on a Friday and was scared for my life. People were urinating and defacating on the street right in front of me. Someone from the hotel should have warned me not to go into that area. The hotel charged me for 2 movies I did not order or watch, and because this was a working holiday I really needed the internet and finally after 5 phone calls 2 visits to the front desk and 24 hours later my internet was working. The hotel insisted it was an ATT issue but it turned out to be a hotel problem. My issue was that I was conyinuually told it would be fixed shortly.

The first room that I got had a broken toilet. They gave me a new room, but I had to pack up all of my stuff and go back to the desk and wait in line again (I had dinner reservations and was not happy about this inconvenience). The people at the desk did not apologize for the inconvenience, they actually made me feel like I was trying to pull a fast one on them. The next morning, when I wanted to turn on the tv, it didn't work. It wasn't worth dealing with it at that point, but it was a bummer for an expensive hotel room.

Cannot fault the location of this hotel, but for the price you pay it is relatively average. Room was small, dated. The fridge didn’t work and they were going to charge us $30 to replace it! No free WiFi or breakfast. The room was clean however.

I really liked the location and the service. The hotel was beutiful. However, we did go on Halloween weekend, and checked in after 6:30 on a Saturday; so the Check-In line was ridiculous and when we got to our room the phone lines to the front desk were tied up, our TV didnt work initially- and it took the engineer a while to get to the room. I would suggest not going during a busy time. Overall, a Lovely place to stay though.

This was one of the worst stays ever. This hotel was such a mess cause of the Halloween parties. There were fights, glass all over the common areas, and the elevators are so slow it takes 30 min to get off the floor. I will never stay here again. Plus there is no free parking and we were forced to vallet park at the Hilton costing is $60. No discount for Hilton customers. Rude rude rude employees too.
