The Capital Hilton - واشنطن

We had a great stay at the Capital Hilton. The room was clean and was big enough for the three of us. The beds were seriously comfortable-- so much so that we had a hard time getting up in the morning! The location was convenient for sightseeing (just 2 blocks from the White House, and a long but lovely walk to the museums and monuments), and the front desk staff was very helpful in giving suggestions, printing our boarding passes, etc. A fridge would have been nice, but overall everything was great. Would stay again.

I enjoyed my stay, though brief for a business meeting. My room was pricey, which I suppose was for the convenience of the hotel to all downtown DC has to offer. My bed was extremely comfortable, but the room itself was small as well as the shower/bathroom. Overall really clean, but nothing fantastic for just a basic king bed room. Anywhere else the room would probably go for 1/4 the price. Location can't be beat and check in/out was very easy. Overall a great stay, just think it's a bit over priced!

Great location and very helpful staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Only complaint was parking - Valet parking was $47 a day and it took a long time to retrieve your car.

Excellent overall. Only complaint was that hall traffic outside my room was noisy all hours of the night.

We stayed for one night at the Capital Hilton in DC. This is a very nice hotel, just a few blocks from the White House. It's centrally located and easily accessible. The staff were friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable. They accommodated our request for a late checkout with no problem. For the money, this is a great deal in DC.

Hotel was located just a couple blocks from white house and walking distance to many attractions. Overall a great place to stay.

First time to Washington DC. It's a nice, quiet hotel close to everything. The only thing that would've been nice is an in room refrigerator. Other than that, it was quite lovely

Everyone at the Capital Hilton is friendly. The location is superior for tourists, even though I was here on business. The conference facilities are great as well.

The hotel is located a couple blocks from the White House, and is convenient to Metro stations. The cleanliness of the room was questionable and the bath towels were stained from previous use. The towels were also about as soft as sandpaper or cardboard. The shower head leaked at the wall and would run down the inside of the shower in a steady stream whenever the water was on. The room was missing an ottoman and bath robes as were described online. All in all it wasn't a bad stay, but it wasn't quite the normal Hilton quality that I'm used to. I doubt I'd stay at this hotel again.

The hotel was very convenient to the Mall, Museums and monuments.

I highly recommend this place! Great hotel & location!

We had a great time visiting DC. The Capital is close to all the big DC tourist attractions. We were able to walk to take a short subway ride to get everywhere we needed to go, including to and from the airport. We didn't really use the services or amenities of the hotel; it was our home base from which to explore the town. I would definitely recommend it and consider staying there again myself.

It was noisy, the wifi was expensive--not free, and housekeeping came to my door at 8am every morning. I did not sleep well, because there was some sort of drilling happening in the floor below me. The ice machine was broken and was not fixed nor noticed for the 3 days I was there. A disappointment for the price. Calling the front desk was like pulling teeth to get results--I kept getting forwarded off.

For a first-time visit to DC the hotel was perfectly located to access sites. Staff and services were super - would definitely come back!

Pros : Staff very helpful, room very clean and comfortable. Close to Metros and Buses. Cons : the extra fees ($13 / day) for the Wi-Fi access in the room!!

Enjoyed my stay here - in particular, a very friendly, helpful, gracious doorman. But be warned, if you sign up for internet service on more than one device (laptop, iPad, etc) you will be charged $13.95 for EACH device. :-(

Hotel is n a great location and at one time was probably a beautiful hotel. The lobby is fine. However, the rooms and the hallways are not up to the standard that you would expect fro a Hilton nor from one you would think would be a premier hotel

This is a great short stay hotel with comfortable rooms, easy access by road or rail or Metro, reasonable facilities and good value compared to other similarly priced options. I would choose this hotel as my regular 2/3 night DC stopover. It may lack character and the check in service is a little slow at times but this is DC... why are you wasting so much time in your hotel???

This is a venerable property in a fine location. It's showing weariness around the edges and could use a strong hand to instill top-notch customer service. My room had a stopped up toilet and engineering had several rooms ahead of me for calls on a Saturday afternoon at 4 pm. Staff seemed harried, but friendly. The gym has been contracted out and a fee is required and, like many higher-end chains, wi-fi is costly in the room, though free in the lobby. Great breakfast but otherwise mediocre food. Retrieval of car from valet is a 15-30 minute wait. Can't beat the location.

Had a wonderful time with my daughter and grandkids. Great location to see all the sites. We were able to walk to most all the venues we visited. Would like to have toured the White House but we just loved our first visit and can't wait to come back again. We enjoyed our stay at the Capital Hilton. Missed the apple blossoms so will work on a later visit next time.

Our getaway started with a 4 AM fire alarm/evacuation of the hotel on our first night. The room was on the small side for a family of four, the bathroom exhaust fan did not work. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful, Kenny from the valet service was great. The location of the hotel was perfect for our needs.

We enjoyed the location of the hotel. There was some banging and drilling that we heard throughout the day and it sounded like they were doing some renovations. Unfortunately we were all awakened at 3:30 AM when someone pulled the fire alarm. There was no fire but the alarms kept going off for the next hour and we had to go down 8 flights of stairs to learn it was a false alarm and could return to our rooms. The breakfast was very nice and the staff at the hotel seemed very pleasant. They were very helpful calling cabs and handling the luggage. I don't believe that we would stay there again however because of the noise and the issue with the fire alarms. It really ruined our Anniversary getaway since we were so tired on the second day of our trip.

Perfect stay for the 2013 DC Rock & Roll Marathon.

Not a great experience. Had to switch rooms 3 times. First room had very musty smell of BO. Second room had been smoked in and not bearable. Third room was acceptable. Staff was great and accommodating but one of my worst DC experiences. Would not stay again.

Yum the breakfast buffet was amazing! The service was awesome too!

Awesome hotel - got a room with a view of the White House. Excellent choices for food within walking distance and proximity to two Metro stations was another plus. Will stay there again if I can.

The Hotel is conveniently located downtown of Washington, DC. The room is spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff is awesome and efficient, the location is perfect with the metro and access to great restaurants close by, and close to all must-see sights. I highly recommend this hotel.

Clean friendly And 2 blocks from the White House. What more could you ask for

The Capital Hilton is an excellent hotel in a great location. The rooms are a little dated and my room had a tiny door into the bathroom and the toilet was wedged in with the shower stall in a very small space. The beds are excellent as always at Hiltons and the service is also excellent. The breakfast buffet is also very nice but somewhat pricey. There are lots of good restaurants near by and it two metro line stations a couple blocks away. It is also only about 4 blocks from the white house. I was on the executive level and the lounge (floor 10) is very nice but no longer has newspapers. Nice continental breakfast for free.

The Hotel was great. Friendly front desk staff. Clean and comfortable rooms. No micro and fridge in room though. Would have been great as I was traveling with a child. The hotel restaurants were pricey. We only ate beakfast there because we couldnt find any place close. If you don't mind walking, the White House is just two blocks away and either left or right from there are all the other major attractions. The bowl of apples at the front dest was a nice treat. Two blocks from the Metro Red Line.

The hotel has a great location, but the bathroom toilet seat had a chip on it so it look like there was something on the seat. The maids need to add more towels to the room when cleaning. But overall it was a pleasant stay and the bell hop, doormen and staff are very friendly and knowledgeable of the area.

I have never enjoyed a hotel as much. The room service food and service was outstanding. Room was very quiet and its location is close to everything.
