Park Hyatt Washington - واشنطن

Very nice place. Walking distance to Georgetown. The hotel resturaunt and bar were wonderful. The pool, eventhough many did not use was great! The one thing I would say is that we were there for just 2 days and they barely had enough space to put my clothes.

I stayed at this hotel for years from 1985 - 2000. It had a warm decor and comfortable user friendly rooms. This has been replaced with a glacial lobby and rooms which are more appropriate in Lapland than in Washington DC. There are no pictures on the wall but plenty of protruding knobs eveywhere (even in the restauramt!!!). The suite was divided by a panel that did not completely separate the living and slleeping areas and the living area had no couch but three chairs each of which weighed as much as a Volkswagen, There is one TV which swivels on the dividing panel so that if one person is sleeping the TV cannot be watched as the noise will enter the bedroom from the living area. The shower and bath is all in one with no privacy door to the toilet. The shower is a large granite floor and there are no handrails so that a person could very easily slip and seriously hurt themselves. The retaurant is one of the strangest, coldest places I have eaver had a meal in. You go through a kitchen with dishes exposed and (I am not kidding here!!!!) a meat slicer next to the breakfast meats which is fine in a supermarket deli but not so great to look at at 7 AM. The restaurant has no, repeat no , decorations other thn the aforementioned knobs, and the furniture (Shaker Style - lots and lots of spindles) is very uncomfortable.Thomas Wolfe said you cannot go home again and I guess he was right.

My wife and I are repeat visitors, and will most certainly stay with them again.

Wonderful hotel - sleek, clean - great service beautiful restaurant - highly recommend!

Hotel room was small. Air conditioning didn't work well. Management did nothing to make our stay more comfortable. We will not go back.

I stayed here on Valentines Day with my boyfriend and the room was perfect for that romantic getaway. I hated the commute to D.C. In soo much traffic so i wish we had one of these hotels here in Baltimore. I absolutely loved this hotel.

Upon check in on Friday customer service asked what newspaper I would like Saturday morning. I requested the FT. Given it is a weekend edition, I would not have received a newspaper on Sunday if I hadn't asked for one Saturday evening. I did ask for one Saturday evening but did not receive one Sunday morning. I also requested my shoes be shined and returned to my room by 4:30. They were not delivered by 4:30 but when I called customer service they were indeed ready and were delivered promptly. The door men were not familiar with some of the restaurants within a couple blocks radius. I found this very surprising. I would expected perfection of these little details from a brand of this caliber.

Great stay. Room was large and reasonably quiet (some alley noise if you stay on North side). Service was A level. Nice decor, well designed. Blue Duck Tavern and bar service is wonderful. Check out Lisa and her amazing cheese selections: she is first rate. Down sides: minor: need couch, or at least love seat in front room of suites...really need this. Shower, while beautiful, NEVER gets hot. Price is fair given access to Georgetown shopping and DC.

Stayed for five nights with our three boys. Hotel was clean and the staff was always helpful. Kids were very disappointed that the pool was under renovation. While the hotel has made arrangements at nearby Ritz Carlton pool, it is only for te use of children/ adults over 16. It is not easy to make a trip to a pool in cold weather especially when the ritz pool was also closed one day, and the ritz asked us to pay for the use of the pool the next day and did not know that the hyatt had an arrangement with it. Also the wifi is very spotty and slow and the use of a land cable highly recommended. Finally, daily parking is also very expensive at the hotel. But taxis are so readily available that we never used the car. However, overall good experience.

good location excellent service, nice touch when checking in they asked why we were in Washington mentioned my birthday and whilst we were unpacking a bottle of wine and small cake was delivered to the room with happy birthday wishes a nice starting touch, would recommend

The hotel was lovely, service impeccable and location excellent. That said, I must admit that when it came to the room itself, the hotel was not up to snuff. The room was very awkwardly laid out, the desk was jammed against the bed facing a wall and there were not mirrors other than in the bathroom. The room might work for one person, though it would still be awkward, but failed for two people. Also, there was no ventilation in the bathroom at all and everything steamed up and stayed that way for a considerable period of time.

Pleasant stay in hyatt , room was roomy and clean, location was in George town a bit of a walk , but used underground to get to some places. Good breakfast and friendly staff

A great stay in the Georgetown/Foggy Bottom area of DC. Simply perfect - and the weekend room rate (2 nights, get 1 free) means the room was dirt cheap. They throw in a breakfast for 2 from the in-house, 5 star restaurant - and your real cost is well under that. Free bikes to use, free bottled water....the staff were all 100% gracious.

Great location and service. We enjoyed the food as well. Walking distance to Georgetown. Getting a burger in the bar is too high.

I have never stayed at a place that I did not eventually want to go home. Staying at the Park Hyatt was the most incredible experience in all my travels. They treated me like I was the Queen of England. From the bellman to the waiters to the front desk, I could not have imagined better service. The room met every need and then some. The restaurant was 5 star. Wow, you will not want to ever stay any where else in DC than this place.

Had a fantastic stay, the staff were more then accommodating with all of our needs. The room was exquisite, love the modern decorating and not a lot nick knacks, very important since we were traveling with a rambunctious toddler. Staff was very friendly to our little one, didn't seem annoyed with his little presence, some places can be that way. The last day we needed a car seat and they were very accommodating in getting one for us with in the hour. Definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking for a very nice place to stay and you happen to be traveling with kids. There weren't kids running around the hotel, except for my own, other then him I didn't see another little one, which is fine by me.

This is a very upscale property that provided outstanding service, amenities and food. Stayed 4 nights and would highly recommend this hotel.

Fantastic - from the Valet parking when we drove up to the hotel, to the well prepared front desk staff, to the room that was expected, to the dining facilities, the concierege and all the staff - a terrific 3 day stay. The little things like many of the staff carrying around dog treats for the weekend when they saw that we travelled with a service dog went a long way to making us feel welcome and comfortable. I would highly recommend staying at this hotel and would do so again if I am in the Washington area.

We spent a weekend in DC to see the cherry Blossoms and tour the city. The Park Hyatt is a very luxurious 5 star hotel with excellent accomodations and superb service. The room was very nice and comfortable with a spacious bath area and all modern facilities. We had a complimentary breakfast in the hotel that was quite good but did not eat in the Hotel otherwise. I thought the lobby was rather dull and small for a 5 star hotel but my wife thought it was modern.. The only problem we had was the electronic door keys did not work twice and required someone from the staff to let us in the room. All in all it was an ejoyable stay.

I travel to DC often, and have stayed at all the top hotels. By far, this was the best service for the best price. Move over Four Seasons and Ritz.

This was a beautiful hotel. Pricey but excellent if you want to treat yourself or someone else. I'll definately be back.

We have stayed in a lot of hotels and have to say this may have been the best of all. From the warm reception by all of the doormen to the check in person to the guys that brought up the fridge (at no charge), then the complimentary cake and later the complimentary bottle of champagne on ice- all because we mentioned at check in it was my wifes bday. The suite was beautiful, roomy, tastefully decorated and the bathroom was magnificent - big tub and separate shower, robes, slippers and even toothpaste. We had dinner in the restaurant in the hotel and the food was really great. We also had breakfast there as it was included in the deal and it was -yes- awesome! The hotel is located in between georgetown and the national mall so easyyou're access to both without- getting in the car. We will make this an annual tradition

My husband and I just stayed at the Park Hyatt for two nights while visiting friends in the Dupont Circle area. We found the location ideal but quiet. The staff were very professional and the rooms clean with a definite spa vibe. We didn't have much of a view from the third floor room but it didn't really matter as we spent most of our time walking around the neighborhood anyway. The toiletries from Le Labo were a nice touch too! Our only gripe was that the third floor smelled strongly of smoke in the hallways one night. It didn't bother us in the room however which was good as I am five months pregnant. Overall a very lovely hotel! Would definitely stay there again.
