We love it! The location could not be better and the area more lovely! ENJOY!!

It was great!!!!! In walking distance of the Von Braun Center. Security was great in helping us find our room.

No hot water. Beds were comfortable - rooms in need of renovation.

Definitely not worth the price paid. A very old bomb-shelter style building that Holiday Inn obviously bought and tried their best to "update." I could almost touch my room's ceiling (and I am not a tall woman) and felt nearly claustrophobic in my small, dark, bunker-like room. And the place just felt damp and musty, although the room appeared to be freshly cleaned. Sometimes just slapping a coat of fresh paint on a place is not enough. Oh, and the parking right next to the drainage culvert that smelled LOVELY in an Alabama August heat didn't help the atmosphere. On the plus side, the staff was great and the hotel was very convenient to downtown. However, I would not stay there again.

STAFF WAS very friendly and helpful. Had trouble finding ice machine was my only negative. Even had a Starbucks in lobby which I loved.

This hotel is always a pleasure. The location is great, especially with the park and its lake directly across the street and within walking distance of the lovely "Old Town" residential area. The service is also always pleasant and willing to help; the rooms are very nice and surprisingly quiet even when the hotel is full; and there are several excellent (gourmet quality) restaurants close by. What more could one ask??

Hotel in excellent location downtown Huntsville. Had a wonderful breakfast Sunday morning. Easy to find, abundant parking, pleasant facilities.

Ther room was nice. The people were very helpful. I especially liked having a microwave and a refrigerator in the room.

Our visit at Holiday Inn Downtown was wonderful. The staff was very hospitable. What ever we needed they provided. The room was clean and the beds slept very well, I thought I was in my own bed. The food was great. If I am ever back in Huntsville, this is where I would stay. the only problem was that one of the elevator when out of order. Other than that everything was fine.

The hotel has some age and it shows in the rooms. My first-floor room could have used an update. The bartender was somewhat wacky, in an annoying way, and wouldn't stop talking to several of the patrons, even when they politely ignored her. No one wants to hear about a bartender's personal problems while trying to decompress after a day on the road, sorry.

I expected much more from a Holiday Inn but this place was very outdated and old. The dining area is pretty much non existent and the bar area feels like a lobby. The rooms were ok and if you want a no frills hotel this place is for you. The complimentary shuttle service was nice and helped when needed. I really liked the history they share with the photos and stories throughout the hotel.

Minor problem with pass key, handled by hotel staff very quickly. Nice pool area. Fast check-in and check-out. Would recomend.

our stay started off with the room keys not working. while waiting for someone to fix this issue, there were 2 other rooms that had the same problem. the ice machine was not working properly. then, after being gone all afternoon and half the night, i got back to room keys not working, again! security couldn't open the room and the front desk guy sent me back and forth twice with keys not working! at 2am, this is not what you want to go through.......
