It was enjoyable the room was set up for someone who was in a wheelchair and thought it a little odd that we were put in this room since we didn't have special needs.

We were not informed of heavy renovations at check-in and were given a room on the sly just below the renovation floor. On getting awoken at 6:30am on a Saturday morning due to incessant drilling and hammering happening directly above the room I complained to concierge who offered me ear plugs! On stumbling to reception in a sleep deprived rage they said there was no room available until midday and provided complimentary breakfast on both days of my weekend stay with apologies. Reception obviously knew about the renovations and were gambling on the fact that majority of people wouldn't complain and whoever did, they would move and offer complimentary breakfast to. We were moved to the top floor away from the noise for our second night however I would have much preferred a comfortable stay from the beginning and expect a lot more from a supposed 5 star hotel...

Very good central location and nice people in reception, but not a quiet and relaxing experience! Stayed three nights .Lots of noise from rehabilitation of room the floor above us, starting with drilling at seven o`clock in the morning (even if they had informed that all work shouldn`t start before nine in the morning). Relaxing in the pool area in the evening was impossible, high music and a yelling instructor for ladies doing gym in the pool. Couldn`t even talk together in the room -

Great location, facilities, fabulous breakfast (the wheatgrass shot got me through the morning). My only complaint was the service was a bit off.

I stayed at the Sydney Hilton over the Easter long weekend. I had bad experiences from the moment I checked in. My luggage did not get delivered to my room for almost 20 minutes so I called up about it. No problem they said, it will be delivered imemdiately. Still no delivery. I walked down to the foyer to see my luggage still sitting merrily by the bell hop's desk. I retrieved it myself. Every day from 9am to 5pm there was incessant, mind numbing drilling taking place in room renovations near my room. It was virtually impossible to stay in the room during these hours. The room itself had been modernised but not finished - loose electrical socket, bedside table not assembled correctly, etc. Room servicing was also problematic. It was never done in a timely manner. When you return to the room after a day out to find it still not made up is very dissappointing. I 'made up' the room myself a couple of times by raiding the housekeeping trolley for items to avoid being disturbed. I saty at Hilton hotels quite often but won't be staying at the Sydney one again. It will bring back too many memories of an unhappy stay on an otherwise lovely weekend in beautiful Sydney.

Great hotel but what a bad experience at check in. I arrived in the afternoon before my partner and was not able to go inside the room because the booking first name was the one of my husband! But great location and comfort

Left my laptop in the cab late at night. Hotel staff reviewed security tapes to identify cab, contacted the company, tracked down the driver. Had it back within an hour. They would not take a tip or even let me buy them a beer! The entire staff was great all weekend.

The hotel was in the heart of it all....a quick walk from the subway and a block away was the hotel. Free internet in the lobby was perfect due to the cafe/options to either lounge or have a drink/meal while I checked my internet. The concierge service was extremely helpful in booking reservations and making suggestions. In the heart of the city, but the room was stunning and peaceful.

The Hilton in CBD is an all-around luxurious hotel in a convenient location, but there are a few issues that left a bad taste in my mouth: 1. In room wifi costs $30/day: Ridiculous. 2. Expensive: from the room cost to food at the hotel, everything is pricey. 3: Room Size/Comfort: Small rooms. My "King" bed was 2 twin beds stuck together...not very comfortable. 4. Location: While convenient to the train and downtown, food options are EXTREMELY limited surrounding the hotel. The Glass Brasserie at the hotel is a great restaurant, but costs $40-$50 for a main course and $15 for a glass of wine. HOT TIP: If you can get the Executive Lounge for ~$30 it's definitely worth it. Free wifi, breakfast, and enough food in the evenings to constitute a light dinner.

Great location, great service & well maintained.

This hotel has good quality and also all the staff are very friendly. They also have indonesian staff working and very helpfull while I'm staying there. Not all section working 24 hour ex. concierge they are working untill 23.00 pm only but it's ok due to the oothers still can assit you well. It also near to everywhere and you can reach by walking. The QVB right in front off this building.

I stayed in 5 different hotels whilst in Australia this new year and this was by far the best. Excellent location to walk to everything, fantastic service, relaxed environment, 2 trendy bars and a modern, clean, fresh room which is exactly my style! I can not rate this hotel highly enough for the price for a 5 Star hotel. Best of all the "magic" button on the phones for anything you need all done with a smile. Will stay here again when in Sydney guaranteed.

Excellent hotel to stay in! I would recommend this hotel to anyone! In the middle of Sydney CBD, excellent service, and very hygienic!

The Hilton was amazing and the staff were great, we arrived an hour early they could of put us in a room but said if we dont mind waiting an hour they could give us a better room. we walked every where as it is so close to every thing highly recomend if you love the city and being close to darling harbour the rocks etc. Will defiantlly stay there next visit to sydney

Great location near shopping and city center. Very modern and sleek highrise with large gym. And a fun touch in the bathrooms, with televisions screens inside the shower.

We needed a hotel for a last minute decision to stay in the city. The 'new' Hilton is very central; excellent checkin service, room on 24th floor was great value for money; bed very comfy with loads of pillows.. Nothing at all to rate less than 5/5

The Hilton is a great ittle Hotel. It is conveniently situated on George and Pitt streets which have a healthy supply of buses, taxi's and are close to the underground terminals Most places are within walking distance including darling harbour, circular quay etc. The hotel itself is great. Rooms very clean and smart. Could not fault anything except the price of breakfast ($42 per person) and internet ($29 per day). If you can, get a room that already includes breakfast charges. There are alot of restaurants nearby that you can visit if you don't feel like paying $42 for breakfast. Aus also has many free Wi-Fi spots (e.g. on the Ferry, Library...) so no need to pay for internet at the hotel. Despite these costs, the stay was awesome and I would love to visit the Hilton again.

Hotel had a good location and srvice. I would not recommend the standard room for more than 2 persons.

Great everything, except the Internet costs and unavailability for free in the lobby. Also, the carpet and the couch in the room were stained and it looked like it had happened a while ago. Why wasn't that taken care of? I am awaiting a reply from management.

It was so great to stay there. Very convenience location and the staff of the hotel was so kind and nice. I was really enjoying to stay Hilton Hotel in the Sydney

I felt like I was sleeping in a office. Its not a very homely but very clinical. Other than that the bed and pillows were very comfortable and there was a bathtub. Internet is 55 cents a minute. The service was good but the pizza I ordered yuck. I told them some of the ingredients weren't very fresh but they didn't offer me a refund.

Overall is satisfactory only that they insisted on holding guest earnest deposits against any incidentals of 100Aust. Refundables fives days after guest.checked out. Parking charges ate high for I.house guest.

Since this brand is quite famous, the service is excellent for sure.

Early check in? Considering status and continued patronage I do not like the fact the hotel will not have some tolerance to continued patrons in this area. I was told I could not check in early one booking and all the rooms were full. I advised reception I had paid for the previous night and all of a sudden a room became clear? A little suspect. Otherwise brilliant...

Comfort, location and friendly, helpful staff ensured that my stay in the Sydney Hilton was thoroughly enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who enjoys well appointed rooms and seamless service from the moment the porter takes your car keys , at check in and room service until the smiling porter once again delivers your car to you at the end of the visit.

Hilton couldn't provide room until 3pm room was ok nothing flash. Being on executive floor had great perks of free drinks & snacks. Internet connection expensive. Our stay was ruined when at 11.30pm we returned to our room and found room service practically closed, extremely small high carb selection of pizza and pasta available . No yummy desserts nothing healthy . Very disappointed

The description of the hotel room we booked said jetted bath tub and it wasn't...was really looking forward to a bubble bath. The restaurant said our breakfast inclusion was only for 1 person when I actually booked the room for 2 people...wasted time. Overall beautiful hotel, great amenities and location.

This was such a nice hotel to stay at. The service was great and staff were friendly. We stayed in an executive room and we enjoyed access to the executive lounge. Would definately recommend this hotel.

Enjoyed the stay even on business - room comfortable even though the rooms are smallish. Staff not quite up to 5 star standards. Food and beverages were good and for entertainment there are plenty of bars and food outlets to choose from. Breakfast was amazing!

thought everything about the hilton sydney was very good very clean friendly happy staff only.the only thing we did not like was the "GLASS" restaurant definitely not what we expected tasteless food and too expensive very mediocre.

Situated in convenient location central to walk to most areas.

Having booked in for a four day stay gave us a very good rate and was apparently rewarded with a upgrade , that was very much appreciated ( even with the Sydney Marathon scheduled for the Sunday) City traffic... no worries , we were 100 metres from the underground terminal ( Town Hall) that took us directly to Sydney airport , the free 555 courtesy bus from the Hilton to Circular Quay direct, and two doors from the monorail station for dinner at Darling Harbour .. what more could one wish for , oh, and the staff at the front office could not have been more helpful with tourist enquiries etc . No worries all round 10/10

A great experience from beginning to end. Gym is well worth a visit. Rooms are a bit on the small side but well appointed. And the public spaces are admirable - the bar, the lobby, the restaurant. Luxurious and contemporary.

Dowdy, overpriced and a rather too pleased with itself, this forgotten outpost of the Hilton empire is a perfect reflection of the city which surrounds it.

My husband and I booked this hotel as we were attending an event nearby. I was quite surprised that at check-in my licence was taken to be photocopied, in addition to a credit card bond for the room. We stayed on the 30th floor with views down George St and out to the airport. The room was clean and comfortable -although small - and I did have to send for another bathrobe as the one in the room had a large stain on it. We booked an executive package which gave us access to the Club Lounge for refreshments and breakfast. This was really good value. The bed was reasonably comfortable although the air-conditioning was quite loud. One of the best things about the hotel is its location in the middle of the shopping district and a short walk to many bars and restaurants.

An absolutely fantastic stay - well worth the price. I would definitely stay there again.

I think this hotel has it all, except one thing, and that is the wireless internet in the hotel rooms. I stayed at the 32th floor and used the 32/33 floor internet and managed to spend 100 aus on 4 days. It would have been so bad if the internet was good, but it was horrible. Everything loaded extremely slow and it had trouble downloading emails with bigger pdf files. As a musician/DJ i wouldnt recommend them here just because of the internet problems. One does not want to spend literally hours waiting to download something before heading out.

I was first time to stay at Hilton. I might have too high expectation since the branding of the hotel. After a long day business meetings, I was shocked when I arrived outside of my room. I found that the entrance door has shown a very clear mark which telling me someone tried to break in before. After I entered the room, I found the security lock was lose. Lucky my luggage was in there, then I thought that might happen yesterday or earlier. Since I was by myself and it was late, I decided just live with it. Apart from that, the room size and bathroom size were small when I compared to Sheraton or Westin. Any other things were good enough.
