Rate was too high for quality of room. Parking lot was a mess with massive potholes. Hallways were very dark. Only one elevator in whole hotel @ opposite end from lobby.

did not even feel safe or secure enough to sleep for even 2 hrs. convenience to Hospital was only positive.

Room amenities typical, no problems with the stay... bed was comfortable. Location ok... parking in back somewhat unsettling... lighting in the back lot was dim... parking lot felt isolated and I felt the need to be on alert at night... no sign of security cameras on the back lot..

The hotel was okay it was average. I did not like the carpet or smell the room was okay. I do not think I will go back.

The location is good for the North Suburbs of Indy and especially if you have family in St Vincent's Hospital. The hotel is tired and badly needs a face lift. The pillows are lousy.

We really enjoyed our stay, bed very comfortable,good surroundings and location, the furniture could. use. some updating and need to offer a free continental breakfast. :-)

Staff were friendly and helpful; the bed very comfy; the pool, while small, was very pleasant. The facility was dated and on the verge of needing an overhaul. And, like most hotels, there was some lingering fake fragrance; good thing the windows open. But if you're looking for a clean, quiet place that's relatively cheap, this'll do ya.

We normally stay in 2-star places because of the price, but I'm glad we stayed here. That extra star brought a noticeable difference about most everything in the hotel. The pool was WARM! It did have a roped off deep end (didn't see that in the description or photos), but was very nice. The room service biscuits and gravy and eggs were a bit expensive, but the serving size was huge. Overall the facilities were very nice. There were only minor cosmetic problems with some various spots in the building, but they were actually working on some of them, as one of the business centers had just received some fresh paint and maintenance. (It still had the wet paint sign in the room. LOL.) We will definitely stay there again next summer when we visit our friends again.

This hotel is well suited to business folks and group gatherings. The room was comfortable and roomy. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

We were a little nervous about this hotel after reading other reviews. However, I'm left wondering what hotel the other reviewers stayed at! The hotel was sooo quiet, clean and comfortable. The pool area was beautiful. The beds were the most comfortable we've ever had at a hotel and our stay was very quiet. It seems this hotel might be used primarily for hospital staff or guests...we saw very few guests during our stay. All in all, we were extremely pleased with the hotel and will definitely stay here again!

I would say this hotel is, OK. Nothing great, it does the job. We stayed here for the 2012 MotoGP race weekend so we just needed a roof over our head. It did the job. What was nice about that too is that we never had to hit the "main drag" going to the track. We park in Lot 2 so we were able to come in the back way every day. The pool was OK, a hot tub would have been real nice! The restaurant was, OK. We only went there for breakfast one morning and waited for a bout 3 mins for someone to seat us. We finally just sat ourselves and helped ourselves to the buffet. It was just eggs, bacon, biscuits & gravy, and breakfast potatoes. We paid $17, a little overpriced for what we got I think, but the food that was there was good. Overall it was a fine place at a good location at a decent price.

Other than low shower pressure (shower faucet needed maintenance), this was a nice place to stay.

This hotel was very clean and comfortable. Staff was great, friendly and helpful. Even at 10:30 p.m. the front desk clerk was eager to help us find a pizza for delivery and directed them to our location. Very nice neighborhood surrounds this location and we felt very safe driving through the area to get to our destination. I would highly recommend this for your next stay on the north side of Indianapolis.

Really clean in the room and rest of hotel. Room service was good. Didn't get a chance to try out the pool, sauna, or weight room. Bed was nice and comfy. Nice and convenient location to 86th st and surrounding area.

This hotel seems to host many things - conferences, wedding receptions, those visiting the hospital complex, etc. It was large which made me worry about noise, but it was surprisingly quiet. Clean and adequate, basic, no frills, but pleasant.

Its an old hotel. You can tell they work hard to keep it up. If you're tall you may not want sleep in these short beds. I am 5'6" and the bed was short for me. No breakfast or coffee in the morning. It is quiet. Close to a Trader Joe. If you're going to be busy and won't be in the room a lot this is an adequate hotel. The room was not expensive but it's outdated. The price matches the value just fine.

Overall, I would rate our stay as satisfactory. The pool was nice and staff seemed to be courteous. Bathroom was unsatisfactory, shower was extremely low pressured and temperature of water was uncontrollable. Carpet was a little dirty.

Exterior of the building is pretty tired. The parking lot really needs to be repaved and landscaped. But the rooms were fine.

Was hoping for a breakfast . Was not aware there was only a restaurant on the premises

I wasn't impressed with the overall hotel. It is in need of many repairs and updates. Our bathroom floor was dirty and hadn't been cleaned properly and I found a ketchup packet left on the floor by the bed which makes me wonder what they vacumned. The ceilings had water stains and the hallways were very musty smelling.

The hotel was great!! The service was superb. The room was clean and we loved it. They have a beautiful pool area that we all loved. We will return to this hotel soon. I highly recommend it!!!

My stay at Marten House could not have been better. Located on the St. Vincent Hospital campus, this was the obvious choice when I needed to be close to my daughter who was a patient at St. Vincent. The staff is incredibly courteous and helpful. The rooms are large and I had a small refrigerator and a microwave that came in handy for my extended stay. I didn't have a chance to eat at the 1881 restaurant as I spent the majority of my time at the hospital. I highly recommend this hotel if you need to be close to St Vincent's Hospital on 86th.

Just a hotel, nothing spectacular, rooms were clean, decor is a little dated and the general building can use a freshening up. The staff was polite and professional.

The hotel is conveniently located and inexpensive. That being said, the hotel seems very outdated and the carpets going up the stairs seem dingy. My room smelled so much like air freshener that I could feel it my throat. In my room, the TV remote was not working, the internet was *very* intermittent, and the hair dryer was not working because the outlet to it did not work. When I reported this to the front desk during my desk, I was thanked for the information.

I was very pleased with both my hotel room and the conference facilities. I did not expect such a nice hotel for such a low price!

This hotel is good for my purposes as it is convient to my family. The restaurant is good. The bathrooms could use some work, but clean. We would stay there again. Loung nice. We did not use any other facilities.
