La Quinta Inn Corpus Christi South - كوربوس كريستي

It is a older motel but beds comfy..room clean...that is all I really need. I don't come to Corpus to stay in a room all day :-))

4 walls, a floor, 2 beds, a bathroom (mostly) and a roof over our heads. Sheets were not clean, shower barely had water pressure, and the room needed some maintenance up keep.

Bathroom had no fan. Mold had been painted over. Right next to the freeway and was very noisy.

On my first night there, I found the bathroom fixtures (sink and bathtub faucet) and mirror to be dirty. The next day, I had to recall housekeeping beause they only made 1 of the 2 beds and didn't bother to clean the sink area or bathtub and my trash can was not emptied. I will say that the ladies at check-in and check-out were very pleasant.

The htoels location make it the ideal stop for someone in town visiting family or going to the beach. Being pet friendly was a perk for our family since we travel with our 4lb dog. We do not allow the dog to roam the room (he stays in his kennel) but it was nice to stay with a hotel chain that does not charge simply to bring a pet inside. Outside of location and pet friendly, I have nothing else good to say about the hotel. Room smelt of mold and the ac did not work the first day we were there. Breakfast area was congested in the morning and there was not sufficient supply of food/ beverages- we left propoerty to eat each day. The bathroom was very small and walls in bathroom were stained around the toilet with what appeared to be vomit. We asked housekeeping to clean and they tried but it was still nasty. Carpet and other room furnishings are dated. We will not ever stay at this property again.

This was the worst hotel I have ever been in. The bathroom had mold growing behind the toilet, the plug in the bathroom did not work so you could not use the hairdryer. The whole palce was dirty.

This was a bit cheaper so I guess we should not complain. But our air condition did not work, but for their credit they did replace it. There were bugs in the bathroom-hopefully no bed bugs-at least we didn't see any. And when asked for certain items we never received them. The people were fairly pleasant though and the breakfast was pretty decent.

Hotel was filthy. There was hair all over shower walls, room appeared to never have been thoroughly dusted. I was honestly scared to sleep in bed, if it was not 1am when I checked in and I had a 7:30 am appointment I would have moved to the hotel down the street. I will never stay at this location again. 2.5 Stars- compare to what? I am very leery to trust a star rating from this site. I didn't expect much, no frills or anything; but I do expect a clean room. My television did not even work.

This hotel was very clean and the employees were very hospitable. The bed room was very clean and comfortable. The rest room is very small and hard to move around in. Also the sheetrock walls in the restroom were starting to deteriorate. Wes did not utilize the pool on this trip although it did look extremely clean and well kept. Overall our stay was pleasant.

the staff was pleasant and the breakfast/lounge area was clean. the air conditioner worked, the tv was nice. the carpet needs changed out of the rooms. there was a funny smell in the bathroom toilet/shower area. there was kind of a old chair in the room for lounging but looked like it needed to be thrown away...

Nice and relaxing place; can't really hear the highway noise. Convenient to lets of restaurants and stores. Movie theater down the road. It didn't get the 5 star rating due to a couple of roaches that were found in the room. They were dead though.

Everything was excellent; room,service, breakfast, etc. That's about all I can say.

This is the dirtiest LaQuinta that I have ever seen. Where do I start. We checked in and after unloading our stuff I went to the bathroom, the light didn't work. I called the front and they sent maintenance promptly. He took off the light fixture and water came out, not just a little, but at least a gallon. He replaced the light and put the fixture back on. He said they had a tub overflow above us a few days before. Ok, problem fixed. The carpet was damp and smelly. There was no refrigerator or microwave. We asked and they put one in immediately. Then that night we went to shower. Standing in the shower was like standing on a waterbed trying to bath. Evidently the water from above had gotten under the tub and so the bottom actually "floated" under your feet. I actually got motion sick trying to shower. By morning all the towels that were folded in the bathroom were soaking wet, I guess from the previous flood upstairs...who knows. No BED BUGS! We immediately checked out and left. We went to another hotel. I will never stay at this one again! You would think that after a flood upstairs they would have checked the room below. It was stinky from the wet mildewing carpet and the flors were really nasty. Behind the night stand there was so much dirt and filth that I ws in horror.

For the price, it was okay.

The service was great and the staff was friendly. The room was very musty when we got in there...almost a mildew smell. Other than some outdated decor, it was a great place to stay.

We reserved a non-smoking room. After waiting for over 20 minutes for someone to arrive at the front desk so we could check in, we were finally given our room key. As soon as we opened the door, the stale smoke smell was overwhelming. When we asked to be moved to what we had reserved, we were told there were no more rooms availabe. No offer was made to accomodate us for their error. The lobby was filthy.

Good rate. Location is great if you are going to the beach. Breakfast was great! Friendly staff.

Great location for big chain restaurants, Walmart & only 15 min drive to beaches on S Padre Island. Hotel was a little older but still nice. Very dusty and did not look like they cleaned very well. Coffee pot was rusted and inch thick of dust. Free breakfast was nice. 2 Star.

There are plenty of less expensive hotels and none that are as bad as this one. It was rated 3.2 but I think it meant 3.2 cig. packs per night were smoked in my hotel room. I just hope I don't get cancer from staying there. Also most "continental breakfasts" are not that great but this one was darn right poor. This hotel is nasty....even if its the last place available, don't stay there. It should not be listed on hotels.com and I'm not sure I will ever use hotels.com ever again after this.

The counter clerk did everything she could to help me out, 1st room was noted as clean on her list but when I got there it hadn't been touched. The clerk moved me to another room and there was hair in the tub and water spots all over the mirror in the bathroom. Mind you normally I'm not picky but...so she got the cleaning crew back to the forst room and supervised the cleaning of it till WE were satisfied. The building was in lousy condition, the elevator was not working and hadn't since July 4th weekend. Normally, no problem but I have had knee surgery and a herniated disk. THey had no rooms on the 1st floor available (though I had requested it).

did not like the location highway too loud the rooms shower was disgusting the t.v was horrible definitaley needs a upgrade will never stay there again ......

I stayed 5 nights and it was comfortable but house keeping is slow due to remodeling. It kinda smells mildewy but it is 107 degrees out. The staff is freindly. Bottom floor ice maker ran out of ice so had to go to second floor. Breakfast was good for a free breakfast. I would stay again even though fire alarm went off for no reason then stopped after a minute at three in the morning. Air conditioning kept it cool in the room, shower worked awesome. Beds clean! ceiling alittle moldy but not bad.... what do people expect in high humidity areas!

So the girlfriend and kid wanted to go camping on the beach. Suffice to say, we ended up staying at this hotel after one night of horrible camping on mustang island. Compared to the beach, the hotel was a four star resort. In reality, the room was good. It was comfortable and everything worked as expected. it is about 15 -20 minutes from the beach, so it is an awesome choice for those visiting the islands. Service was good, they let us check in early. We did not get to partake in the breakfast. So overall, I would recommend this one.

Our room was dirty there was feces on the toilet that had not been cleaned. I will not stay there again.

Roaches in the room, cigarette burns on the edge of the toilet seat as well as the bathtub. Huge red stain on the floor, ripped comforters, dirty sheets, hair on the wall, tv soooo dusty I could write my name in it, other than that....

The room was not very clean and the hotel is located along a busy freeway, but the staff was hospitable and the breakfast was good.

the room was clean and comfortable, although there was a small problem with lack of hot water. I was 4th of July weekend and the hotel was booked solid, and the hot water was available within a few minutes. Front desk called to make sure the problem was solved. I would stay there again.

The front desk were nice. The uniforms were old and not ironed looked like they took out of a dirty close basket. Pool was dirty.I asked for a down stairs and got 2nd floor. I did however get a fridge for my sons milk. I work for a retail store and 1st impressions are a must. I give this hotet a 2.

I'm a Usta tennis player and I travel all over the state of Texas,that was the worsed hotel I've ever experienced. My wife and I are having a baby,we're six months pregnant so I requested non smoking and someone smoked in are room. Mold on the walls,behind the tv etc..... in the future i'll stay somewhere else.

I have stayed at La Quinta Inn before and enjoyed it, but this was the most disgusting La Quinta ever. We had reserved 2 non-smoking rooms. Upon arrival they gave us one room that was a smoking and this room was horrible, also the non-smoking had a stale smell. The noise from the freeway kept me awake. In the middle of the night I called Hotels.com and cancelled my next day reservation. The place is really run-down from outside as well as inside. For the money they were charging... it totally sucked!... Don't stay here.

Unfortunately, there was dirty bandaid and piece of toilet tissue on the bathroom floor only visible upon closing the door to use the toilet. The chambermaid simply missed cleaning behind the door.
