This was the best La Quinta we have ever stayed at. I would definitely stay again. Truly top notch n every way.

Lived the location and great customer service. Room was great. The only thing I wish was rectified was a peculiar smell in the hallway that reminded me of must or wet old carpet. Maybe a steamer would do the trick and the hotel would be aces across the board

Great room!! Pop up beds available! Amazing breakfast! Close to Riverwalk! VERY kid friendly!

Wonderful hotel....GREAT breakfast...perfect location

It costs about $30 more then some others but you get. 1. True walking distance to riverwalk. (5 minutes to river center) 2. Free Breakfast 3. Good Parking ($15 a day) 4. Comfortable clean rooms.

Location is excellent - not far from River Walk, the Alamo, and other sites. The breakfast area needs to have more tables or be enlarged when large groups are there. Hotel was clean, and staff were friendly and helpful. We would definitely stay there again.

Nice accommodations. Delicious waffles...shaped like Texas! OK fitness room...machines need some attention. No water for the first few hours of our stay due to plumbing emergency and no maps of San Antonio available at front desk.

This La Quinta is in a perfect Riverwalk location, but the hotel was mediocre. Both of our beds visibally curved in the middle. The hotel charges $20 per day to park, which was not indicated during the reservation. Whatever we saved by eating the complimentary hot breakfast was lost in parking fees.

The hotel location was very convenient for us and the staff was friendly and helpful. We booked a room with 2 queen beds and when we got there the beds were both full size beds. Not a huge deal for my husband and me but annoying since we paid for 2 queens. The bathrooms do not have exhaust fans and the windows do not open, so there is NO air movement in the room whatsoever. The pool is shaded most of the day but it was clean and there were lots of chairs available. All in all it was just OK.

Very convenient to the River Walk and the Alamo. Great breakfast with healthy choices and comfort food. Very nice hotel and friendly staff.

Close to the downtown sights, river walk, and shopping mall.

The hotel was a La Quinta. Breakfast was free, bar was empty, staff was very helpful. Location is about a 5 min walk from the Riverwalk and right across the street from a mall with a movie theatre. Would recommend this location as a lower cost facility that is close to the convention center and the riverwalk.

They staff was very friendly, let us check in early and get going with our visitation. It was in walking distance of everything. Great room, great breakfast. Nothing we didn't like about hotel. Would defenitely stay again.

The La Quinta Inn and Suites near the Convention Center in San Antonio is a convenient and affordable place to stay. It is within walking distance to the River City Mall, River Walk and Alamo Plaza. In addition, it is located on the Yellow Trolley route that will get you throughout the downtown city area. Even though you pay for parking at the hotel, I would advise that you do not spend the extra money on valet unless you cannot make the walk to the parking lot. It’s not really worth the extra couple of bucks, and the lot is very close. It is also very easy access from the highways. Now, I will say that while we stayed here two nights there were several issues, but again we weren’t paying for a five star property so I believe you can’t complain what you pay for. - Only 1 of the 3 elevators worked during the peak hours - Breakfast was good, but with the amount of guest it was a feeding frenzy with very little control of the hotel staff - Check In – only two people at the front desk so be patient - It’s a value hotel, so there will be value conscious guest staying with you. (You’ll see the sleeping bags, because you know the kids are sleeping on the floor, were in a recession so everyone is making their money stretch) Next time though if it's just two of us I will spend the extra money and upgrade to a hotel on the riverwalk or one with more charm. Other than that, if I am watching my Wallet I would stay here again.

I love this La Quinta because of the location to the downtown area/ riverwalk. Macys is a few seconds away and the Alamo is only about two blocks away and I must say beautiful at night. The pool and everything was working perfect as much of our stay was. :) Def. recommend. My friends and I always joke about how we wake up early just to enjoy the wonderful breakfast they offer, omg the Texas-sized waffles are the best I have tried haha.

La Quinta's range significantly in quality. This one was on the upper end relative to other La Quinta's in terms of accommodations and the breakfast. The only real complaint is that it is very noisy for an enclosed hotel. I could hear people talking in their rooms I was in the hallway and sometimes in the room. There is also noise from the freeway. Nevertheless, we had a good stay and it was significantly less expensive than other hotels in the area.

Great service, Staff, and facility!

It was the cheapest hotel in a good location. My toilet seat wasn't clean when I checked in, or when I checked out. My carpet hadn't been vacuumed before I checked in, or at all during my stay. I had to ask three times (then go to the desk) to get a third towel for the third person in my double room. Even though checkout was at noon, I had cleaning staff knocking at 9:30..."you check out now, sir?" Waited in line for a WHILE to eat breakfast. Had to pay a significant fee for parking and no spaces where available. It's a nice building, has a good bar, and is in a nice location. Other than that it was a terrible stay.

We stay here everytime we're in San Antonio. It is very clean, inexpensive compared to all the others and a great free breakfast!! We love it here!

Our stay was very enjoyable and our room was quite comfortable. We enjoyed the full breakfast and the area for visiting both inside and outside were very nice for a group of any size. We will stay here on our next trip to San Antonio.

Overall a very nice stay. Location was very good. Just a few min walk to Alamo and river walk. Easy to get on highway to get to other attractions. Only a 20 min drive to seaworld for us. Only complaints was parking is more then they say on hotels.com. Also after seaworld we came back to a full parking lot. This is due to them allowing non hotel guest to park there for 10 dollars. Kind of unfair. I told the young lady at the front desk there was no where to park so they gave us valet for free. So that made up for it. Only other slight complant was ac didn't get real cold but I like it really cold when I sleep. All the workers were extremely friendly. Would def stay here again and recommend it to others.

Excellent for a short weekend visit. Close to all the downtown attractions. Comfortable room for two. Very good breakfast. Sadly,outdoor pool was not heated nor was the outdoor hot tub. Near Freeway, but relatively quiet.

Room was ok Bathroom not up to price range, paper cups? no glasses Not very sound proof, could hear conversations and doors slamming

The room was over priced in our opinion. However, the location was OK, but several blocks from the Alamo and the River Walk. The breakfast was good. It was disappointing that they charged hotel guests by the night for parking in their lot, which was so full that there were not enough spots on some nights.

Web site said hotel was 0.3 mile from Riverwalk. It was just across the street from Macey's who's opposite entrance is on the Walk. The thermostat in our room was not operating. Response at the desk was it was probably set at economy, but it never worked either to heat or cool. Price of the room was in line with others in the area, however, it increased drastically from the original quote.

I really liked this hotel. Staff was friendly and breakfast buffet was nice. Only issue was the parking fee. They shld really consider lowering it to a one time fee instead of p/nite. Made us think twice about staying an extra nite. Overall, really good location.

the a/c was not working properly. no clean towels...i had to go to customer service to get towels.

Always a great hotel to stay at but added bonus, it has FREE internet.

My husband & I wanted a KING bed & ended up w/ 2 doubles. I purposely chose La Quinta b/c at the time they were the most reasonable....& they were one of the few hotels offering a KING. I called the desk to ask if we could get a KING & he said they were all out. Don't hotels keep track of things like this? I made the reservations well in advance, which evidently didn't help. All in all, everything was ok--great location.

Hotel location excellent. Parking rate should be for the whole stay not per night. Bathroom door broke and did not have a lock. The room door had been broken off the hinges and put back together not properly. Every single sound outside the room could be heard inside. THe room is not insulated well. The door was so misaligned that light from out the hallway was reflecting inside the room. I would stay here again due to its location. VEry convenient. A couple of blocks from Alamo about a block from riverwalk and right across the street from river center mall. If you want a quiet well insulated room to sleep on, this is not the hotel you want, but if you are not going to spend a lot of time in the room like I did, it does not matter.

This hotel is close to all the main attractions in San Antonio, Riverwalk, Convention center, Mall, Imax and the Alamo. we really enjoyed our stay. Had a big breakfast and clean comfortable rooms.

Great hotel, very comfortable. But the last 2 times I've stayed at this hotel the fire alarm has gone off in the middle of the night. I was with my wife and kids and had to go down the stairs 11 stories. It was a false alarm but still very inconvenient. Then in the morning it went off again....another false alarm. Didn't sleep too well. I understand there might be ppl or kids who'll mess with the alarms but the hotel needs to somehow fix this ongoing problem.
