Travelodge San Luis Obispo - سان لويس أوبيسبو

I've never stayed at a travelodge, and this wasn't the best first impression. When I got there, I walked into an empty lobby, rang the bell, and some half asleep messy looking guy came out from the back room. Again not a good impression. Our room was just okay... My girlfriend couldn't believe there was no iron and ironing board. The room was clean and recently painted. At night you can hear hundreds of frogs, I think, do their "ribbit" thing from the forest area in the back. A good ambience noise to put you to sleep. It was an okay stay.... Would consider a nicer spot next time.

I stayed here several years ago and it was poor. It is much nicer now, updated, clean and quite.

Our stay was fine. Nothing good, nothing terrible. Upon entering our room there were very obvious stains on the comforters. However we thoroughly inspected the beds and we felt the linens were clean. We could easily hear our neighbors through the adjoining door. Other than that cleanliness was fine. Nice bathroom and decent kitchenette. Location was great in SLO. Not downtown but not too far. I would stay here again but probably wouldn't be my first choice.

This hotel is wonderful. It's very clean, it's in a great location, and the management is very responsive. I was surprised how great the rooms were and how quiet they were. We couldn't hear any of our neighbors. It's a short walk to downtown. We will definitely stay here again.

Lowest price to be able to walk to downtown.

this hotel fit the purpose. We needed to be close to the college. I will try other hotels at our next visit as this one was barely above Motel 6 standards. The towels were very small and thin so for a female this was not desirable. But, on a better note the price was right!!!! Would I stay here again..... maybe. Again when you are in town for a function you are not in your room for very long

Excellent value for simple travel...location close to CAL Poly for visiting your student, and close to all the fun downtown has to offer...best deal in town!

Price was right for a one night stay, checking out Cal Poly with my son. Got a good nights sleep. Breakfast not worth it.

We had a fine stay at the Travelodge. We were in room 122 and had a nice view out to the hillside. It was pretty quiet and very convenient to downtown.

Close to University and downtown, very convenient. Clean rooms, great for on a budget, included small refrig, coffee pot and microwave

Lovely area not too far from town center. A low-cost no-frills way to spend the night at a reasonable rate. Would stay again.

We were to get a room with 2 qn beds and a sofa qn sleeper in another room. But they only had 2 qn beds like any other hotel room.

My stay in SLO was just as I expected, the Travelodge was a friendly place to stay over for the night. Not everything in the room was spotless, but the room was outfitted with everything we needed and some extra's that we did not even use. It had a Safe, Wi-Fi, Refrigerator, Coffee Maker with coffee, a Hairdryer (I thought about using this but it looked clogged with lint and should probably be brushed out every once in a while), all in all I really enjoyed my stay. We skipped the breakfast in the lobby because we don't always eat breakfast, but It was offered to us. We did not spend a lot of time in the room because SLO is so beautiful, we were out exploring most of the time, we were just in the room to sleep and shower, the room was very well accommodated for these things. For the price this room was Perfect! :)

Hotel is very nice and convenient for the price and location. Rooms were clean, bathroom had been remodeled and was very nice. Area was a bit noisy and the front desk staff was not very helpful. They were on the phone with someone else the entire time they were checking me in.

Although just off the freeway, a fairly quiet location not too far from downtown and the places we wanted to visit. Comfortable beds.

The room was clean, bed fairly comfortable. It was St. Patrick's Day weekend, so many young people partying woke us up at 2 a.m. Manager was friendly and helpful.

Nice. Nothing spectacular but clean and comfortable. Great for the price.

This place was great. Nothing special, but it was clean quiet & close to town. Good overnight stop. Highly rec.

Spacious rooms though inside room and outside don't mesh. should probably remodel outside and office and get new carpet inside. Did a nice job remodeling bathroom. nice granite bath/shower surround, clean,new shower curtain, grout is clean and nicely applied by professional not like amateurish or uneven jobs you see at some hotels that are patching/covering up moldy grout! And Toto toilet, that's high end brand. fixtures are standard but new. digital thermostat worked nicely and not the rickety dials attached to the wall unit. carpet needs to be updated and tile and kitchenette needs to be upgraded to match the nice bathroom quality. Breakfast needs a remodel. compared to Quality Inn breakfast we had the next day in Thousand oaks. Talk to them and look at their breakfast spread and room.

Very nice neighborhood. Small but nice rooms. Breakfast was ok - not much to chose from but adequate - English muffins, Danish, oatmeal, fruit & juice. Small lobby so most people will probably take the breakfast back to your rooms. Desk clerk friendly. I would stay here again

We enjoyed our stay and would return again. Rooms are clean and nice. Wi-fi worked fine. The locatioin was perfect for walking to local restaurants and to Cal Poly. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Very basic accomodations, works in a pinch. Beds are comfortable. Rooms not very soundproof, continental breakfast needs work - serves gas station style pre-wrapped pastries and weak coffee. Staff very friendly.

My daughter and I needed a convenient overnight place to stay with her infant while visiting family in SLO. We had a late check-in, comfy beds, the requisite fridge and microwave, and an easy access first floor room in the back away from the main road. Worked out extremely well for us.

I enjoyed my stay. I was just across the street from where I had to be. Walking distance to bars and dinning. Shopping near. Friendly and efficient service at the hotel. The only negative thing was, that it was too warm in the room. The heat was pre-set to 75 degrees. It was a rare 80 degrees in San Luis Obispo.

Nice beds but next time I'll bring my own pillow. Conveniently located for visiting our daughter at Cal Poly. Breakfast offered was not what we'd ever book this motel for again. The drive in and out of the parking lot can be tricky to manuever.

Always stay here. Older but clean and well maintained. Instant hot water in the shower and bathroom always clean and well stocked. Great place to lay your head at night after visiting the wineries or Cal Poly.

The room was clean and in good condition. The beds were comfortable. It appears the bathroom was updated with granite shower surround and tile floor. The location is super convenient to the university and to restaurants and downtown. The room had a fridge and microwave. My only complaint was the heater was very loud, the old wall type heater, but run by thermostat. It was quite unusually cold at night (28) and we had to turn the heater on in the middle of the night which made a racket and kept me awake. Other than that, for the price this place is great. We didn't have the free breakfast, choosing rather Splash just down the street which has great coffee and pastries and a killer breakfast burrito.

This place is a truly hidden gem. Excellent location to freeway and to downtown and Cal Poly. It is an old style motel that has been well maintained. The bed was a treasure, VERY comfortable with great linen and premium grade pillows. EXCELLENT $$value for nightly cost and comfort of room. The continental breakfast is very basic but more than enough to get you going. The front desk staff are great, very helpful and friendly. The housekeeping staff does an great job.

Bed was not comfy, too soft. Noise outside both morning and night disturbed our sleep. Poor breakfast. But safe and clean if you are on a tight budget.

Very convenient to Cal Poly. Gentleman running the front desk is always kind,considerate.

Booked this room because of its proximity to Cal Poly, Downtown, and the Apple Farm. It's walking distance to the Apple Farm, and a short drive or cab ride to other parts of the city. The room we stayed in had been updated recently with more contemporary paint colors, fixtures, and bedding (I looked in the window of other rooms that had more old-fashioned decor). Because it had been recently updated, it was clean, comfortable, and convenient. The bathroom was large, the shower stall clean, and the hotel provided shampoo and soaps. The bed was comfy enough and extra blankets were stored in the shelving underneath the TV. The TV was still an older style TV (not flat screen or HD), but we didn't watch much TV during our stay, so it wasn't a problem for us. The heater worked great and it used a modern thermostat display. My one gripe is the only free outlets I could find in the whole room were the two by the bathroom sink. Made charging our phones a bit of a pain. I did partake of the free continental breakfast. They had some fruit (apples and bananas), pastries, juice, coffee, dry cereal and milk, and English muffins (and a toaster to heat them up). There was a flat screen TV in the lobby, along with some free newspapers, so I had a pleasant breakfast.

The price of the room was excellent as was the location. Worth a stay if you are out most of the time.
