I have stayed in this hotel when it was new. After many years, it is still well maintained. Rooms are reasonable size and they even upgraded us to bigger room. The hotel is currently undergoing renovation and I should expect better ambience when the lobby is redone.

Noise because of the repairs... We didn't have water to drink the room room service too much expansive I booked 10 days before and payed all before but stillgot a bad room position You have to pay for everything...even the internet... in the years has become more expansive and the quality has gone down. good aspects is the service..personal is really excellent...more prepared than in shangri...more efficent and faster...but i repeat..for the same price you can stay in a 5 star resort...specially now that the skyway is fully operative...you don't really need to stay in makati for your business...cavite is now 10 mins away while before it was one hour or more. Ill miss the good old days of this hotel.

I was very impressed with the hotel staff. They were extremely helpful and each request I made was met with a quick resolution to my problem. I will for sure stay there again and would recommend it to anyone traveling through Manila.

The best customer service I have ever received while traveling in a foreign country. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to go above and beyond to make our stay pleasant. After two weeks on a remote Filipino island, and after showing up disheveled and with backpacks from our travels, we were greeted with the same respect and care as the business travelers in suits. New World is centrally located in Makati, across the street from the Greenbelt Mall complex. They take security just as seriously as exceptional customer service. If I ever have the privilege of staying in Manila again it will be at New World.

We stayed in this hotel primarily for its good location in upscale Makati. the biggest problem is the expensive internet service in the room, and no free wifi in the lobby. it loses to a lot of other hotels due to this, wifi is a simple thing but a big deal for us business travellers.

While things were generally ok, the age of the rooms were showing. The shower controls are either full on or trickle. The curtains were from the 70s, not just the shade but were visibly worn out. The bath tub was badly stained and don't look like it could be removed.

The hotel was centrally located - especially nice for people with no transportation. Rooms were a bit dated. Amenities in the rooms were fine. All hotel personnel were very friendly and helpful

First time visit to this hotel. Spent two weeks here. Friendliest people I have met anywhere. The only drawback is the extras. A taxi from the hotel to the airport is normally 600 pesos but the hotel charges 2800. Internet is spotty when you do have it but it is also an extra $100 a week just to use it. Otherwise your stay should be nice and enjoyable.

nice hotel, great neighborhood. Got upgraded to a suite, but executive lounge was not good. The lounge was not a lounge, more like a cafeteria. Packed with business people, no place to sit, left as soon as i arrived. Overall, tho, a good hotel with great service and great neighborhood.

It is just across Greenbelt shopping centers. And if you are planning to go to Belo Medical Center. This is the hotel to check in.

Elegant and glamorous hotel next to possibly the best shopping areas in Manila! The overall service was super friendly and also very professional: Even though we walked in with our big backpacks and shorts with t-shirts, no one gave us any bad eye. On the contrarry the staff treated us like we were the suited up rich businesspeople that stereotypically stay on this hotel. The minus side was that the otherwise beautifull pool area do not get any sunshine because of the neighbouring high rise buldings block the sunshine. Also the prices on the hotels restaurant are about 10 times higher than any regular restaurant in manila. But, the food was good. It was our last night after one month in the Philippines so we wanted something fancy after our cheap hostel stays. New world was an excellent choice even though the sun didnt shine to the pool area.

My main problem with our booking is that I believe I booked our room inclusive of breakfast for the 2 nights we stayed there, but at check in was informed it was not inclusive of the breakfast.

I only stayed in the hotel for one night, but it was conveniently located where I could have a quick bite to eat and plenty of social activities at the Greenbelt Mall located directly across the street.

The New World Hotel in Makati City Manila is a terrific place to stay. The service is great, the rooms are clean, and the atmosphere is comforting. Many amentities are within the hotel but shops and eateries are within walking distance as well. I will definately stay there on my next visit to the Philippines. Mabuhay...

Excellent location and superb breakfast

The staff of this hotel are exemplary. We stayed in one of the 'club' rooms. The room itself was worn and dated, but the club itself was great, very much worth the extra fee.

This is my second stay at this hotel n I love it as close to restaurants/shopping. The mall is just across the hotel entrance. Very clean,comfortable n good size bathroom. Will surely return to this hotel in the near future. I have stayed at the Shangri La, Peninsula, Dusit Thani n this is my favorite hotel so far for convenience, security, n location wise. Shangri La is my second choice if price is right.

Right by the greenbelt. Couldn't ask for better staff. More pricey beers then most but it's worth it.

The hotel was beautiful. We had a lay over in Manila on our way home from a dive vacation. At first, I was concerned with the location as it's further from the airport than we would have preferred. It was one of the few hotels available so we decided it to give it a try. Makati City is lively and the hotel is perfectly situated to take in the sites. The hotel staff was very efficient and professional and the room was extremely clean and well maintained. It's bit older but so well appointed and maintained that we didn't consider the age an issue. We would happily stay again.

its a good hotel with a 4-star-level... my room was nice, but not special for the money... the hotel is oposite of the greenbelt with many malls and restaurant... so fare a good choice

New World getting old, but nevertheless, still 2nd best in Makati after Shangri La ! In fact better location, just acorss Greenbelt, which is great spot to hang out in after hours..

It's worth the $$. Everything is in place, just as described in the web site. Go there, you won't regret it a bit!

good location, close to mall, friendly staff, and if ur lucky, chance to meet famous people. I did, a former NBA star who won 2 NBA titles with Houston Rockets and he was gracious enough to shake our hands and acknowledged who he was.

The New World was a very friendly Hotel with staff that were very accommodating and cheerful. On occasion we ate and drank at the hotel and the prices were reasonable but not as competitive as outside as you would expect. 24th floor breakfast was nowhere near as good as ground floor (for those that stay at that level) less choice and (I’m our opinion) the Chef wasn’t as good. I’d rate the stay out of 10 as a 7-8 very nice hotel. Regards John & Gina

A pleasant hotel; efficient, everything was working properly, friendly staff all over. Convenient location for business and shopping located in the middle og Makati.

Great location next to lots of restaurants, shopping, and bars. Friendly staff and clean, comfortable rooms. Nice city view from upper floors.

A FIVE STAR hotel as far as I'm concerned!

Unfortunatly the staff in the front desk are not experts and need a training i bboked 2 delux rooms with 2 extra beds but didnt found that prepared when i check inn they offered me excutive floor backage with internet and breakfast with extra fees ( almost 30% more of the rate)

I would not stay at this hotel unless I was on the executive club level...floors 22-25. all the lower level floor rooms are old, out dated furniture, dusty, old and dirty couch and chairs. However, the club level floors were much, much better, also you have 24 hr access to the club lounge.

I stayed at the executive room on the 23rd floor- there was a lot of noise from the room above, I called the hotel few times-the noise continued I had an early flight the next day-was not able to sleep I stayed at this hotel many times-it is a great place, this time I was disappointed

we stayed 2days in the hotel June 13,14 2011. We used roll a long bed for $20.00 cause our son & it had better bed than our reg bed. gorgeous lobby, very professional attitude employees, room was very clean, no need to up grade, our room was the cheapest they offer & we declined breakfast buffet also ( about $20.00 for 3). if I go back I sure will stay new world hotel again, make sure give enough time for reservation, we booked 10 days before we went, still it was worth it! We stayed in the executive deluxe room, and WOW, that was a treat. We had a very nice and spacious room with a view of the sky-line of Makati/Manila. Access to the executive lounge with cocktail in the afternoon and small snacks. We enjoyed the poolside and the chill of a dip in the pool in the hot summer sun. The buffet breakfast was great with all the food choices we could imagine. We will be back for more soon.

I would recomend this hotel to anyone, it is far one of the best I have been . Ciro and Kieu

A clasic hotel. Big, good service but old and the rooms are in need of a makeover. Convinent location and about as save a place as you can get in the Philippines. Bit high priced for the age of the hotel. There are many newer hotels in Makati but not as good a location.

is construction going next to the hotel, My room was good but, on the other side the room are next to construction

The New World Hotel is conveniently located right across the street from Greenbelt Mall which makes access to restaurants and shops easily available. While the hotel staff is friendly, professional and helpful, the hotel rooms could use a little updating. The room decor and fixtures look very dated, but New World has the best location hands down. There are far better hotels such as the Shangri La, but nothing compares to New World's location. You don't have to take a taxi or walk in the sweltering heat if you want to go to Greenbelt. If you book through New World directly, there are hidden charges such as using the hotel pool and gym. Because I booked through hotel.com, I paid exactly what I was quoted which was great.

The hotel is perfectly placed in Makati near the Green Belt Mall district. There is all the shopping and food places you could want, including international cuisine. The only hitch I had with my 11 day stay is the first night. I paid for 11 days in a room with a single king bed. The first day I got there they were over sold and I ended up with a single bed for the first night. The hotel staff accepted responsibility for the condition and moved everything for me the second day. The first room was not that clean either. The sink was plugged and the counter had some gunk on it. Again, the hotel staff personally inspected my room daily to make sure it was acceptable. Great people to work with.

First time to Manila. This is a 5 star hotel with everything you need at a great price. Great service, professional staff, and very clean. Great neighborhood (upscale Greenbelt/Ayala area with tons of shopping and dining options. Very secure and peaceful location. I highly recommend this hotel. Upgrade to executive level, it is worth it!

New World Hotel is very impressive place to stay: clean, comportable, convenience, staff are accommodating, courteous, and are all there to help. Very impressive beautiful hotel where everything is there...shopping, park to relax and restaurant. Recommendable place to stay!
