the hotel was great except, we couldnt figure out the tv. at first we thought it was just a bad remote so we tracked down a house keeper and got a different one. same thing. it wouldnt turn on the tv. so, we turned it on manually. then it got complicated. we couldm nt just flip through the channels. we had to push weather we wanted sports or dramma ect. it was wierd. we are still not sure if we were suppose to pay extra or what so the entire stay, after not being able to figure it out, we just went without tv. that was a let down but other then that, v ery nice hotel.

The staff was helpful but not too friendly, the room a little small but clean, the bed was lumpy. Parking was a problem we were told by the reservation person there were 3 spots to park for oversized cars and trucks behind the hotel, and there were if we wanted to pay $27.50 a night. Location is about the only plus to our stay, we went to the Ryman for a show and were able to walk.

This hotel is located in a great spot...thats the only plus. We checked in at 3:30pm and house keeping was still cleaning rooms on our floor so it was rather loud and hard to relax. When we got back after an evening out there were people running up and down the halls and slamming doors all hours of the night. And they have sercurity on site...not much help. A maid tried to enter our room at 7:45 am the next morning even though our do not disturb sign was on the door, to see if we were still in our room...they then proceeded to shampoo the carpets on our floor at 8:30 am...When we complained at check out they told us they would discuss it with the staff but they could not do anything to help us...it was NOT worth the money for the location! DO NOT STAY HERE!!

nice place close to everything but for the money sould give away internet access have to pay.. cna get it free a moel 8

This Hotel falls short of expectations for the price paid. Our room had visible wear and tear with a frayed carpet and wall base trim coming unglued. In this price range I expect an in room fridge or at least a large ice bucket. Insead there are the small cheap roadhouse Inn style. On floor vending consists of one machine with a very limited selection, Pepsi or water. The bathroom was clean and neat, but had a typical roadhouse shower. Again a dissapointment for this price range. The restaurant, Commerce Street Grille, on the other hand has outstanding fish dishes for Dinner. The service was well done and the atmosphere comfortable and relaxed. All in all, an OK Hotel with a great location and well above average in house restaurant.

Overall not bad pretty good location. Shower head was horrible took forever to shower. Felt like the Senfield eposide with low water pressure, and flat hair. And I would recommend bringing your own pillows because they have horrible ones. But overall not bad pretty nice rooms, TV, etc.

My biggest complaint about the Renaissance Nashville hotel was that it took forever to get on an elevator. We were trying to take the elevator down to check out, but could not get an elevator going down. Finally we had to take an elevator all the way to the top floor before being able to ride the elevator to the first floor to check out.

Everything was fine. Valet parking charge was expected. Only problem, you should not have to pay for wifi at a hotel this expensive!

Excellent hotel, service and close to the Ryman, Broadway, Broadstone Convention Center, Country Music Hall of Fame, and many restaurants, shops, bars. Great valet service, wonderful brunch, nice views of the city. Highly recommended.

I was quite disappointed in the Renaissance. The lobby and restaurant are okay, but the rooms are in dire need of remodeling. The carpet was stained in my room, the bathroom was ugly, and the one time I turned the TV on, the picture was so bad I couldn't watch it. I'm used to staying in upscale hotels, and the Renaissance is definitely not one of them. It's only priced like it is. The only two redeeming qualities of the hotel are that it's not far to walk to a decent night life area, and there's a Starbucks in the lobby. I would not recommend this hotel to my friends.

Always stay at this hotel when in Nashville. Very clean, great location and quiet at night.

Great location for walking to all the fun things to do on Broadway and 2nd Ave.

Awesome hotel

Just a short walk to the center of the action on Broadway and surrounding streets. Every thing about the hotel is first class but then your paying for it. Most helpful valet staff told me where to self park and saved me money, nice touch! Would stay here again if I got it at the right price.

Wonderful stay. Breakfast was outstanding and dinner was just as good. Room was comfortable and very clean. Had a memorable time and stay.

Location was great as we were able to walk everywhere. No parking other than valet, but cheap parking at Library across street. Friendly staff. Loved the Starbucks in lobby. Only real negative was the long wait for the elevator on the 22nd floor, but once on the ride was fast with a great city view.

Stayed at the Renaissance to see the Taylor Swift concert, was within walking distance, the service was excellant and the dinner was outstanding. We had the filet and house wine, would compare to top steak houses.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in. The staff was amazing and very friendly. Perfect place to stay.

I enjoyed my stay at this establishment. The hotel is near all of Nashville shopping centers and night life enterainment.

The room we got was a very large corner room. It was very nice. The bathroom however was like a Motel 6. It has space for 2 sinks, but only uses 1. They put a tv next to the sink and the hairdryer, both of which should be where the coffee maker is. The tub is tiny and the shower was nothing special. The fee for internet is just wrong. they charged me even when I didn't get to use it or sign up for it the 2nd day. I would probably NOT stay there again.

The Hotel was very convenient to downtown. All the great night life and shopping. We had a great stay, especially access to Starbucks in the lobby every morning. I didnt care for the hotel maids knocking on the door early after a night out on the town asking to clean the room. Other than that, very nice stay..and would definately stay again.

Fixtures in the Bathroom did not work well. High degree of wear is visible throughout the hotel. The place needs renovation badly.

I loved the hotel and the view. The only con is no complementary breakfast .... which would be good if one has kids but for adults there is a Starbucks and 2 cafe/restaurants in the hotel and Panera a block away.. I would def. stay here again

Drains were plugged up backing water into sink. Decor was straight out of 1985 carpeting coming apart at the seams. They would not pick up the garbabge from room service for hours at a time

The policy toward extra services was indicative of the Marriott chain of hotels. Internet access was $15/day extra and valet parking was $29/day extra on top of a an already expensive room rate (the hotel had NO parking garage). If you can stay outside of the city, you will find much better value for your bucks as you will not need valet and internet access will be included.

The Renaissance is the place I stay when I go to Nashville. Great location in the heart of downtown and great, friendly service. I also have to mention the food... I got a late night craving for something to eat. I thought that I would get some mediocre, microwaved junk. Boy, was I wrong!! The food was fresh, expertly prepared, and DELICIOUS!! Not something you expect from midnight room service. Very pleased!!

Stayed in this hotel when it was a Stoffer Hotel-not quite as nice as theold Stoffer. This hotel is great when going to downtown Nashville venues. You can walk to multiple destinations. Would definitely recommend this location for anyone traveling to downtown Nashville.

The Hotel is close to Broadway , and all the wonderful attractions. The staff treated us as if we were Royalty. We loved it and will stay there again if we are lucky enough to return to Nashville again. There parking valet was worth every penny for peace of mind. The staff took wonderful care of us and my car!!!

The tax's and fees were way too high!!!

Great hotel, great location that being said I think it was a little expensive. Had a great birthday weekend with Poison and Motley Crue.

Very nice hotel, well located to downtown activities. Only one cavieat, make sure what conventions are in town or staying at the hotel during your stay? The hotel is attached to the convention center and it gets crowded if a big deal is in town. But I would stay there again.

I stayed here on business last weekend, and it was my first time in Tennessee. It was CMT Fan fare so the place was absolutely PACKED (kind of wish I had been there on not so busy of a weekend) but the hotel staff staff had plenty of people working so the only place I had to wait was in line to valet park my car. You cannot beat the location of this hotel. Walking distance to all of the following: - Broadway with all of the honky tonks & fun restaurants - Country Music Hall of Fame - Bridgestone Arena - Ryman Auditorium The hotel staff was very friendly, but the person we asked for a recommendation for dinner at concierge wasn't very knowledgable of the area. Rooms were nice and updated - comfty beds and nice TVs. A Starbucks in the lobby of the hotel, too! Parking is really expensive, but that's the price you pay to stay in the best location in town.

Excellent location and amenities. Surpassed only by their friendly, helpful and courteous staff.

Overall, the stay was nice. Location was convenient to the arena. Breakfast was delicious. I was not impressed with the service from the bellhop on check-in. I pulled in front of the hotel to check-in (in the rain). When he found out I wasn't using valet parking, he asked me to go ahead and park in the garage, then come back and check-in.
