Loved it, no complaints...would definitely stay again

I just returned from a fabulous three (3) night stay at The Lenox Hotel (Mar.28-31). I took the lead on booking our hotel stay and chose this hotel after reading numerous positive reviews on various sites - I was not disappointed. Check In: I had booked two "Classic Queen" rooms and requested that they be on the same floor. We arrived about an hour and a half early and were accommodated for check-in immediately. However, one of the two rooms was not yet available, but rather than asking us to wait, we were provided with an upgraded room on the same floor. This is always a crowd-pleaser! Rooms: I found the beds incredibly comfortable. The rooms were very clean, and came with a mini-fridge (stocked with free water). The upgraded room we received was quite spacious while the "Classic Queen" was fairly cozy (read: small but not cramped, with the exception of the bathroom which was very tiny!). The hotel also had a list of items available for request - i.e. candy/treats; meds (nominal fee of $0.25); toiletries or other items people may have forgotten to pack (i.e. nail file, clean nail polish, playing cards, loufah, etc). Customer Service: From check-in to check-out, we felt like welcomed guests and appreciated the genuine service from all hotel staff. Justin at concierge was particularly helpful to our group, and we appreciated his service. Food: We didn't order any room service but there was coffee & tea out in the mornings in the lobby; as well as a large bowl of bananas at the front-desk. Location: This was my second time in Boston so I knew I wanted to stay in Back Bay. The hotel is easily in walking distance to many great attractions. For perspective, it took us about 35-40 minutes to walk home from TD North Garden one night - and that was at a very leisurely pace...and without cutting through the park. Misc: + I don't know what they're pumping into the air, but the lobby always had a very nice scent! + Aveda products in-room were a nice touch + Turn-down ser

We stayed there for my daughters 20th birthday. The staff even went out of the way to send fancy cupcakes up to our room when they found out it was her birthday.; The only complain was the junior suite that I booked was a little small as I thought I was getting a 2 room suite. I would definitely stay there again.

I spent four nights at The Lenox on a girls shopping trip from Ireland. Only 15 mins by car from the airport. Close to Copley Place, Prudential Centre and Newbury Street. Plenty of restaurants close to the hotel but food in The Lenox is really nice. Staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. I would definately return to this hotel on my next trip to Boston

Very comfortable and friendly. easy access to all parts of Boston - walking distance or by T. Wonderful lobby and and staff, and rooms are luxurious.

The most helpful staff I've ever encountered! From the front desk, the resturant staff, the doormen, to the housekeeping folks -- EVERYONE was very nice. Hotel clean and in great location to shopping, resturants, etc -- could walk to a lot of major spots. Next time I visit Boston, this is where I'll stay!

Wonderful boutique hotel in great location to points of interest, restaurants and shops. Attentive and professional staff-including valet, front desk, concierge. Rooms were quiet and comfortable. Nice bar in the lobby.

If you like comfort, big rooms, smiles of the personnel - this is the place for you to stay. The room was large and clean. Everything in the room was hi-end quality. For example the office chair behind the desk in the room was the Herman Miller chair (hi end and expensive). The room was cleaned at least 3 times a day. The food in the restaurant was average (mostly), but there are so many great places to eat around this hotel, that it wasn't a problem at all. I'm very satisfied with the hotel and when I come back to Boston I will stain in this hotel again.

The hotel was great, the staff very helpful. My only criticism concerns the lack of heating in the bathroom. The weather was very cold while I was in Boston and not having any heating in the bathroom was more than uncomfortable. Otherwise, a great stay!

The Lenox is a wondeful hotel, with a sumptuous lobby, great restaurants, and a prime location. It's easy to get anywhere in Boston from the hotel, and access to Back Bay, the South End, Fenway, Cambirdge, and downtown is very convenient. The staff of the Lenox is fantastic--really friendly, helpful, and kind, from the front desk staff and concierge to the valets and housekeeping. My only complaint is that the room felt a little stuffy and out-of-date; the Lenox isn't a trendy or modern place and the room decor could have used an update. That said, the lobby and hallways are beautiful and the hotel is super comfortable. Nice gym, too. I will definitely return.

Everyone in the hotel is very friendly. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The location is close to shopping and restaurants. The concierge hooked us up with a great dinner location just minutes after we arrived early evening. A great spot!

You could not beat the location of this hotel, in the center of Back bay Boston, close to the best shopping and great restaurants. A classic style hotel with a fireplace in the lobby, most welcome in mid January. And a staff that was always charming and super efficient.

The Lenox continues to provide a great location for a comfortable and convenient stay in Boston's Back Bay. The staff is always courteous and helpful, the rooms are clean and well kept, and the Lenox is within walking distance of many fine restaurants. All in all we had a great Boston mini vacation, and will return again!

Hotel, Staff, location, all ideal. Brunch was different in its offering, but everyones' selection was tasty and presented well. Staff all over the hotel was helpful, courteous, and seemed to remember you when they next saw you. Room this time was a little small, Bellhop suggested requesting a room with two doble beds next time. Overall, a very satisfactory stay.

We recently stayed for two nights in the Lennox while visiting our friends in Boston. In the first instance, the proximity of the hotel to both the Orange and Green line T stations, was fantastic and made travelling around the city very simple and hassle free. The location of the Lennox to the Prudential Centre was great for shopping, and the great array of good restaurants and bars closeby meant that we didn't have to venture very far at night to get a bite to eat. Finally, the provision of an umbrella in the room turned out to be fantastic on one of the days of our stay when it rained really heavily!

We live in WA State and booked this room for my son and daughter-in-law for a weekend getaway. We have never been to the Lenox so it was a gamble we hoped they would enjoy. They absolutely raved about every aspect of their stay at the Lenox. They said we absolutely have to stay there when we come to Boston for a visit.

We stayed 2 nights at the Lenox during the Xmas season and were very well cared for. The staff is really amazing. Will stay again any time we're in Boston.

all round fantastic. decor of the room is a little dated, but otherwise everything is perfect and room was very comfortable. will definitely return if in boston again.

Excellent service, friendly and helpful staffs. The room was spacious enough for 4 persons. Most importantly, it is just next to Copley Square and train station.

The Lenox was great! I had a conference at another hotel and the Lenox was $100 cheaper. The service was fantastic, the restaurants were fairly priced for the area. Gave free coffee, free bottled water. So great!

I stayed at The Lennox for one night with my family in two double rooms. The hotel is well maintained and we found ALL of the Staff to be incredible helpful!

Stayed in this hotel in December and found the whole experience lovely. The staff at reception were very friendly and were a great source of information. The complimentary bananas, cookies and hot chocolate were a nice touch. The room was cosy but spacious and very comfortable. The aveda products were most welcome and there was a generous size fridge as well. The location was very good as it was right beside the Prudential Centre and close to the Trolley Tour stop and the train station. Would recommend this hotel.

I booked The Lenox primarily because of the location. Arriving on Christmas morning my main goal was to be very close to my boyfriend's mother's apartment. The Lenox was just down the street. I also liked the look of an old charming Boston Hotel. I was able to book the hotel in advance for a reduced price because I payed in full. I arrived at 7am hoping for an early check in that I had requested so I could sleep a few hours before the Christmas festivities. As soon as I arrived they gladly checked me in early. The lobby looks as though it had recently been renovated and was beautifully decorated for the Holiday. The room was not large, but nice and clean with a kind size bed and large flat screen. It also looks like it had been recently renovated. After I woke up from my nap, I was pleasantly surprise that they had provided breakfast for Christmas morning in the lobby. I would definitely stay at the Lenox again. It was really charming and incredibly convenient.

We arrived on the redeye and decided to take the T from Logan as we were not loaded down with luggage. The hotel is easily accessible from the Copley T station. The hotel had a room available at 7:30am so they let us check in very early which was much appreciated. Service and staff are excellent. The location is perfect - right in the middle of all you want to do in Boston. If it's cold or raining, you are a quick quarter block into Lord & Taylor's and the Prudential Center maze connections.

We had a fantastic stay at The Lenox Hotel. The staff could not have been more helpful, the room was a decent size and kept very clean. It is also in a great location, two blocks from Newbury Street and on the same block as The Prudential Center.

Just a great place. All staff were really enthused and attentive. Stayed around Xmas time and all day complimentary coffee in the Lobby was a nice touch. Reception area was lovely at Xmas, a nice feel to it. Would really recommend if staying in Boston.

My party of four ladies stayed here for 5 nights in December and can honestly say we have never received such five star treatment anywhere. The concierge and staff everywhere in the hotel were fabulous and nothing was too much trouble for them. Nice touches like home-made cookies and fruit on the reception desk to help yourself to just make you feel pampered. Felt the Irish Bar wasn't up to the standard of the rest of the hotel, so stick to the City Bar instead.

Wonderful staff. Not once did I see any staff member chatting idly while clients waited for their attention. That is my pet peeve about client service for the generic service industry. At the Lenox, housekeeping, baggage handlers, front desk, concierge, doorman -- all were extremely professional and courteous. A great experience indeed!

We just spent a 4-day girlfriends' getaway in Boston and took advantage of the Christmas holidays and sales. Decided to return to The Lenox after an eleven year passage of time. The staff at The Lenox was so helpful and attentive -- made the stay all that much more enjoyable. Each morning we snagged a banana at the front desk with our coffee. One day when we got an early start, we asked if they would hold a couple of bananas for us -- "No problem" the reply. When we returned, we had four bananas, a couple of oranges, and four apples, all displayed in a basket for us with a sweet note attached! What a happy surprise! Yes, we'll be back...soon! Thanks for making our Boston trip so much nicer.

this hotel is a must! its location is great close to prudential centre newbury street and a short taxi ride to quincy market which is amazing for food! The Lenox is a beautiful hotel very comfortable and clean and the staff are so friendly and helpful, it has a lovely bar and irish restuarant i cant say enough about it.. book it!

The hotel was magnificent, the staff all so friendly and always saying hello, asking how they can help. They even gave us something to remember our first American Thanksgiving. Thank you for making our stay in Boston amazing.

Location, one block from Copley Square, was ideal - within walking distance of almost everything and the "T" as well. Room was well furnished and quiet. Service was excellent. Would definitely return the next time we visit Boston.

This hotel was awesome - it was large, nice, and had every convenience. It was one block away from the green line Copley T stop and very convenient over all. I definitely recommend this hotel.

very convenient to all must see sights, all staff professional and friendly would stay again in fact this was our 2nd time.

The lenox is even better than all the reviews..its is a must for staying in Boston. It is 5 star for location, service and comfort. Every member of staff goes out of their way to help you and makje you feel teh most important guest at the hotel. We even got an upgrade to a suite because of a birthday celebration. This hotel is a must if you intend to travel to Boston, it is within walking distance of all main attractions, best resturants and shopping and the price is so reasonable for the experience

An excellent Hotel in all respects. I would recommend it without reservation both the hotel itself and its location in the city.
