The Westin San Francisco Market Street - سان فرانسيسكو

Hotel was clean, comfy and quiet! The concierge got us a dinner reservation right away. Close to shopping and BART. Starbuck's coffee in the room was much appreciated!! Thank you! Loved the floor to ceiling windows. Will definitely stay there again.

The front off the hotel was a jammed up mess when we arrived. The check-in process is ill-conceived. Spent 40 minutes with my car sticking half out onto 3rd street. What's worse, I asked about a sign for a nearby garage, and was told by Westin staff that "that's not for this hotel". Once my car was trapped in the mess of the drive-through circle, I learned that that garage was absolutely public and half the price of the Westin facility. By then I was too fed up to fight my way out again. Also, the hotel charges for internet, wired OR wireless. Really? Hasn't Westin learned that free wireless is becoming the expected standard at higher end hotels? Will not stay at this hotel again.

As one would expect for an expensive hotel in the heart of the downtown San Francisco financial district, this hotel was very nice. Parking was $48 per night, so I'd suggest using the BART. It was only a two minute walk from the station to the hotel. Tons of restaurants and shopping in the area, and only a 10 minute walk to Chinatown and a 15 to 20 minute walk to Noth Beach and Fisherman's Warf. Hotel room was small, but nicely appointed and the staff was excellent. Room was expensive but you get what you pay for and the overall experience is what you'd expect from a high-end hotel like this. I would stay here again, great for business travelers and leisure travelers alike who want to stay at a fancy place.

My Girlfriend and I stayed at the Westin Market Street this past weekend and had a pretty good experience. The only thing I had to complain about is the fact that housekeeping knocked on the door at like 8 am, 9am & 10am when I was trying to sleep in. I manage a DJ that played at Manor West a few streets away, so the hotel location was perfect. Even though it was raining, it was still a short walk to Union Square as well. We called for Late Checkout on Sunday morning and the front desk gave us no hassle. We didn't check out until 1pm. All in all.....it was a good trip and a good hotel to stay at. I will definitely visit again. Bryan T.

San Francisco is the second city next to New York where parking and taxi fares are most expensive. This location and usual luxury of Westin is well worth it to avoid unplanned cost to your stay. Loved it ! Never disappointed with the Westin chain. Once again, up to standards.

Itt was the perfect location for us who only had a couple of days in SF. The beds were great, the view from our room was lovely and the staff was very friendly.

Very nice room and service excellent! Park at Hearst parking lot across street for $23/night vs $48 valet w hotel.

I have stayed at the Westin chain in the past and I have always had a wonderful experience. This hotel was no different, the staff was gracious and helpful, the room was luxurious and comfortable and the location was just where I needed it to be. I highly recommend the Westin Hotel chain as a place to stay when travelling.

I hade one misunderstnding about the WiFi but they resolved it, beyond that, perfect.

Sara at the front desk was so helpful. The baggage claim attenedants were very professional. The server in restaurant was very nice! I would def. stay here again. :)

Busy hotel with convenient amenities. The room had a great view but the windows needed cleaning. The linen smelled of tobacco even though I had requested a no-smoking room. The valet needed about 15 minutes to get the car. I was told that my SPG card had expired, so my stay could not get credited. In the next hotel, in New York, also a member of SPG, the receptionist was able, unprompted to get me my new SPG number.

Jacob helped me upon my arrival at the hotel and it couldnt have been better. All of the staff was very curteous and helpful.

My daughter and I have wonderful time to stay in Westin Market St. The room is spacious and well maintenance. We love the big bed and different type of pillows. Location is close to all shops and restaurants.I would personally recommend this hotel.

First time in San Francisco and it couldn't have been a nicer experience. Westin bed was heavenly after a long day of flying. The weather, on the other hand...i will remember to avoid March if rain and gloom is a seasonal thing.

I was actually really excited to stay at the Westin for St. Partick's day when it all fell apart when I was trying to check in. I am not sure if the lady was new or maybe her computer was not working correctly but she overdew my account. I had pre paid the hotel from hotels.com but when you check in they need a cc to put incidentals. . I gave her my main Visa CC and there was plenty of room available on my card but it would not go thru. I gave her another card and the same thing. Then I gave her my business debit card. The same thing happened. I have Chase bank alerts on my phone and noticed I was charged three amounts of $150.00. The bank withdrew my funds and overdrew my bank account. This happened on a Friday and on Monday I got the funds back. I am not sure what happened but was not happy as I could not use that money that I needed for y weekend away... Overall NOT HAPPY!

Fantastic hotel in a fantastic location within a fantastic city. Need I say more.

I really like The Westin Hotel it was clean and the Service was Great it was a busy weekend but Mr. Romero at the front Desk was very helpful took his time giving us directions, I'd have stay in other Hotels around the same area but the Westin is the Best.

Central location with everything around the hotel, valet parking is worth the money because SF is nightmare to find parking. Room is clean, pillows are soft. Will come again.

the lady is very friendly when we check-in

Amazing hotel EXCEPT the room did not have free internet. Free internet was available in the lobby, however, people paying for a room had to pay for daily internet usage - it didn't make sense. Surrounding hotels would wave the internet fee. Other than that, the bed was comfy and the room was clean.

The best of everything AAAAA

From check in to check out, nothing but class. Wonderful views from the Executive Suites. The parking is expensive, but to be expected in S.F.

This hotel is convenient to downtown. My only problem was checking in. I can't blame the hotel desk for the slow service because for some reason the key system for the hotel rooms failed that evening. Needless to say, we couldn't get into our room. There was a long line for check-in, and I was wondering why at this time of the night, 8:30pm, there was a back up. When we got to the desk clerk he explained. I felt bad for him, but he was kind of enough to have "Michael" take us up to our room with the master key so we could drop our bag off because we had a show to be at by 10pm; however even the Master key couldn't open our door. Michael apologized repeatedly, and I appreciated that. He suggested we leave our luggage downstairs, and he would get us a cab to get us to our show, and told us our key will be ready by the time we returned from the show. Sure enough when we returned we got into our room.

Nice hotel. Ten minutes leisurely walk to Union Square. Not many choice for breakfast at surrounding area esp. during weekend. Buses, cable car etc. available within 500 meters of hotel.

Typical Westin in decor, cleanliness and comfort. Beds were great. Service was good, but the line ups were unacceptable. No response when I dialled the express service (also unacceptable) so I had to wait in line at the desk for service. Both times nearly a 20 minute wait, both times not during peak check-in or check out times. Also, internet connection fees just seem greedy when paying so much per night.

One city block from Market Street makes it convenient to walk to everywhere, especially since taxi service is spotty. Homeless people around hotel location. So very sad.

Great location, friendly staff, very clean. Parking very expensive, $50 daily !!!

The Westin never fails and SF Westin was spot on. From the room upgrade to the very friendly and helpful staff top notch. Good Happy hour great way to start our daughters 25th Birthday in the city... Thank you all.

The hotel is situated in Union Square. It's in the middle of everything. It's within walking distance to shopping and easy access to the trolley system. You can get to many great sites within 10 minutes.

The check in agent, unfortunately I do not remember her name, did an excellent job. She welcomed us, and helped us find a place to eat, and in addition she upgraded our room to a higher floor. We did not ask, she just did it for us. She started out our stay with a bang, and made the rest of the stay very satisfying. She even bought all three of us a drink in the bar. She was appreciated.

Didn't love the hotel, but for what we paid it was solid. Awesome views of the city on the even-number room side. Close to some shopping, but not super close to the more unique neighborhoods - just a cab-ride away to those though! Rooms are a tad old looking and bathrooms aren't big, but whatever, it was a-ok. Great beds too

Stayed with my wife for a romantic getaway. The hotel is located in the heart of the SOMA district, within walking distance to Union Square, Embarcadero, Bart, Muni and always had taxis waiting outside the door. The interior of the hotel is very nice and inviting, the fitness center is well equipped with cardio and weight equipment. Our room was comfortable, but you do get a lot of street noise as the windows keep little out. I also found it very strange that the toilet /shower room was so compact. I'm average height and weight and still had little room to move unless standing in the shower. The hotel seems to cater more towards business clients who are staying on someone elses dime. We ordered room service for breakfast and not only was it expensive, but the food was very poor and not worth half of what we payed. If your coming to the city on business and just need a place to lay your head and something that provides a good place to get some exercise, this might be the place for you. A romantic getaway, I might look somewhere else in the city.
