Hotel was clean and close to the lake and main sites. The only thing that would have been nice was to have better dining recommendations from the front desk. The only restaurants they recommended were the ones from the coupon book they give out.

Auteuil is a fairly expensive middle class hotel near central station. Positive: + tram stop just outside + warm room (in winter) + clean + some nice furniture + the restaurant in the hotel next door was nice. + Police station fairly close (Which we had to attend, see the negative). Negative: - price - breakfast not included, otherwise too expensive - hard bed (This did not matter when I was 20) - my room was noisy - the area is fairly unpleasant. Watch out for criminal characters in some parallel streets and pickpockets in the tram. Colleague’s wallet was lifted in broad daylight. Watch out! Summary: Not great but decent hotel. But considering the price and location, there really is no reason to stay at it if more competitive choices are available.

Hotel Auteuil has comfortable beds, a delicious breakfast (it's expensive, but that's typical in Geneva), and a great location close to the train station. The neighborhood is not very fancy, but it's really interesting. The staff was very helpful in all but the information they gave us about how much a cab to the airport would cost. It was way more expensive than they reported - perhaps they didn't know, but then they should have said so. Nonetheless, I would not hesitate to stay here again, but would take free public transportation to the airport.

Rooms are good size for Europe. Larger bathroom. You have a choice of being on the side of a main street or trackside of main gare. Parking is extremely expensive!!

It is very roomy compares to Royal and Epson of the same chain. Elevators are too small only fit two people, three if you are skinny. Towels are very clean no slippers though.

Great hotel, but why is breakfast so expensive? Be careful around the train station though. Not safe.

Nice hotel representing very good value for money. The gym was small (like most hotel gyms) but very clean and the equipment was very modern and in full working condition.

the hotel was lovely! it was so handy having a toilet separate from shower and big bed. only annoying thing was the gym. we went to the gym in the morning and had hotel staff come in and tell us that the room above us were complaining. why put a gym in a hotel if u don't want ppl to us it??!! the gym equipment was old and clunky - hence noisy!!

Very expensive city but hotel modern and clean. I would recommend it

Good location in town, good restaurants around it, Rooms were big, bathrooms were big and very well maintained, hotel staff very friendly. Would definitely stay here again.

It is goog hotel, but the breakfast was very expensive

Good hotel / great location ... 2 min walk to the main train station / 5-7 min walk to the lake clean rooms .... though small private parking facility Friendly staff

Have stayed in other hotels in this chain, and would definitely do so again. This hotel is in a great location, close to the train station without the usual downside of being in the heart of the red light district. Beautiful, stylish decor throughout, comfortable bed, clean, well lit bathroom with magnifying shaving mirror and great aircon. Only issue for me as a woman was there was no mirror in the bedroom, so make up had to be applied in the bathroom after my other half had finished steaming it up. Not a big problem though. Wish we could have stayed longer than one night.

Very nice hotel close to station and short (6 mins) train ride to airport. Short walk to lake side and shops. Geneva travel card very useful as it made visiting places like UN headquarters easy.

I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Very large, modern, clean rooms. Great "business center" guests can use.

i really recommend this hotel,. it was worth paying such an amount. i didn't have any one bothered me at all. but mini bar is expensive.

Great position, 5 mins to Train then 10 mins to Airport, easy walking in safe community to lake and restaurants. Hotel Staff happy and helpful, basically all good and comfortable.

The hotel was a 5 minute walk from the main train station which is then a short 5 minute train ride to the airport. It is also a 15 minute walk from the old town and main shopping. Convenience is what we were looking for and we got it. The main drawback was the noise from the train station. We heard trains running by our room regularly.

Room overlooked the train tracks - not a particularly nice view but surprisingly the room was still very quiet. Although the hotel is away from most of the main sights, it is easy to get to everything since Geneva is a very walkable city. Plus the hotel provides you with a public transportation pass.

We had a fabulous stay at Hotel Auteuil in Geneva. Hotel and staff couldn't have been more accommodating and rooms great with comfortable beds. Food was also first rate. Thanks so much; I would highly recommend. Convenient location, close to train station, airport and sites are within walking distance.

Auteuil is a great, clean, modern hotel only a couple of minutes walk from the main railway station, or 1 stop on the Tram. These Trams are on the direct route up to the Red Cross museum & United Nations. It's easy to walk down to the lake or over to the old town. Although we didn't eat at the hotel, the large Manor department store nearby provided the best value. Public transport is free and the hotel will provide you with a travel card on arrival. At the airport, you can pick up a free ticket to get into town on train by the luggage belts. Staff were friendly and helpful, provided us with a map and tea/coffee for the room (it was free so unsure why the hotel didn't just provide this in the room anyway). The hotel is on the main road and although the area has been described in other reviews as 'not the best' it was clean, everyone in Geneva was polite and at no point did we feel 'unsafe'.

The hotel had both positive and negative sides. On the positive side, the location is very convenient next to the train station and close to the lake. Also, the interior is stylish with helpful reception personnel. On the negative side, the rooms were not kept in good condition. Our room was not vacuumed throughout our stay (3 nights), the sleeping gowns were not folded but rather thrown on the chairs, no slippers or bathrobes available, bath products were not replaced throughout our stay and the number of towels available to us decreased every single day. A bizarre setup is the fact that the toilet is actually in a separate room from the bathroom. Worst of all, at 9am there was heavy hammering in room next to us (sounded like somebody was putting a painting on the wall with nails) which continued for at least an hour - unacceptable for a four star hotel.

Very newly-refurbished hotel with comfortable bed and well appointed bathroom. Location is a 10 minute walk from the main station. The neighbourhood is not the nicest (lots of concrete buildings and a reasonably large road outside), but prices in more fashionable areas are much higher. The hotel gives you a free city-wide travel pass (or you can pick one up before passing through customs at the airport, which makes the train into the city free, too) and the #16 tram from the station drops you on the main shopping street in under 10 mins (plus the 10 min walk from the hotel to the station). The walk into the centre is also only 20-25 mins directly from the hotel. Our room faced the train tracks and we could hear trains coming to and from the station, but it was not sufficiently loud to prevent me from sleeping (and I'm a light sleeper). The staff were pleasant and helpful, and took the charge for breakfast off the bill without question when we checked out (their system adds it by default and it's up to you to tell them you didn't have it). We didn't try room service, as it was very expensive at 20-30 CHF for sandwiches to burgers (particularly given the exchange rate at the time) - but this is in keeping with the rest of Geneva, where it takes a bit of searching to find food that is reasonably priced. Our room (a standard double) had a fridge to keep your own food in (separate to the mini-bar fridge), a microwave and a large sink for washing up, along with plates and cutlery, all tucked in a cupboard next to the wardrobe. Buying your own breakfast or light meals at one of the nearby supermarkets and eating at the desk or in one of the two armchairs either side of the coffee table would definitely be no problem. The TV was pretty small by the standards of some hotels (at somewhere between 14 and 20 inches), but they did have BBC1, BBC2, ITV1 and CNN news, as well as french, german and italian channels, and the usual compliment of films on demand, though these we

The Manotel hotels are not exciting, but comfortable and practical. The Auteuil hotel is the one closest to the Cornavin station, which is practical. The free wifi is a big plus when you travel for work. Only downside is that the breakfast isn't included.

Great hotel, would recommend to anyone. Stayed for 2 nights. Helpful staff, nice bar. Room was clean/well kept - no smoking smell. Breakfast was way to expensive, better just get a coffee & snack somewhere else.

Pros: Good location close to train stations, Clean and comfortable rooms, Very helpful staff Cons: Shower facility was average, only one ironing board and iron to be shared by all hotel guests. Overall experience: Good

We spent 1 night in this hotel on 9-9-10. It's a nice hotel, one of the nicer that we stayed in while in Europe (larger than normal and very modern). The bed was very comfortable as were the furnishings. The hotel was clean and up to date. Hotel workers were friendly. Decent breakfast but relatively expensive. One thing to note, if you are traveling to/from the Geneva airport, don't take a cab. It's expensive and slower than the train, which is free and about 100 yards from the hotel's front door. Surrounding neighborhood is interesting. Sketchy in some areas, then very posh by the lake.

Booked a non-smoking room more than 4 weeks in advance, but at check-in was assigned (they said the last) room with smell of smoke, ashtray, and matches. Check-in clerk continued to maintain that this was a 'non-smoking' room, despite the obvious differences from the room they moved me to the following day (with an apology from the manager, and the clerk still insisting he was right).

The hotel is very new with modern decoration and very clean. It is very conveniently located, 5 minutes walk from the main train Station, although the neighborhood at night is not as great as during day time. The hotel provided us with a free travel card for the whole stay, which it is great! I will recommend it to everybody and will stay there again on my next visit!
