My problem was with the person i made the reservacion he lied and he told me tha the cost of the room inclides the parking and the breakfast for 2 people, so when i i arrive to the hotel ....Oh Sorprise !!!!! extra charge for parking and breakfast .So the problem was whit HOTELS.COM,

I checked in 45 minutes after booking, and the hotel had not yet received my reservation. They offered to keep my luggage in case I'd want to go out and come back later. I stayed in the lobby until the reservation came in from hotel.com. Because of the wait, they up-graded be to a larger room with a king bed. Front desk and restaurant staff were great, the wi-fi worked like a charm, room was super clean and comfy, hotel is located steps away from the Bell Centre, train station and Concordia University. There is a police station right in front of the hotel, so you know the area is safe. Also, they have entire floors designated non-smoking, and there is a sign in every room warning guests that smoking in non-smoking rooms will cost you 200$. Non-smokers have nothing to fear!

This hotel is in a walking distance from the centre of the city. It has spacious room with two queen beds. I recommend it.

This hotel was great for the price. The staff is quite nice and there is an enterprise in the hotel.

Floors are hardwood and cold. The heating unit kept going on and off every minute, even when i turned it off Above all, there was a bachelorette party on the same floor and needless to say there were a lot of drunken people. I called the front desk but no use Stay away!!!

Went to Montreal for a Canadiens game and stayed one night at the Hotel Espresso. Only a block away from the Bell Centre, 5 min walk. Really like the free wifi available throughout the hotel. Overall solid hotel

Typical hotel checked me into a room below a floor under construction, couldn't sleep. But they moved me to a nicer room (they have those!) which was clean and quiet. The location is central for downtown but removed from nightlife, etc. Very reasonable price would stay again.

The pictures did not reflex the room's reality for example showing a modern bathroom and aslo not answering my requirements

Had to stay in Montreal for a month as was treated like a king. Staff are wonderful, rooms are huge. Just a bit noisy from either ice machines or air conditioning. Hopefully in time they can spruce up the hallways with new tiles or carpets and put in a quieter system.

We arrived at the hotel and parked our vehicle. Once we were checked in, we left the hotel on foot in search of supper. When I booked this hotel I made sure it was in walking distance of the Bell Centre and downtown life. We had a great time and the truck never left the parking facility.

Had a great stay here, with convenient parking nearby, late checkout, and only 4 blocks from Bell Centre for the game. Front counter and Cleaning Service was definitely above average.

And It's complimentary! I ordered a long espresso right after check in.(There's cream and sugar beside the desk. You also may as well grab some creamers at that time to take with you if you use the in-room coffee maker because they only provide powdered whitener in the rooms.) My boyfriend and I purchased a standard King bed room through hotels.com the night before our check in date, Jan 6th, although when we checked in, they put us in a two queen suite-type room. After going to the front desk, our attendant let us know that they were oversold on our booked king bed room, and that the room we were in at the time was technically an upgrade and was also all they had to offer as the majority of the rooms in the hotel weren't available due to construction. Upgrade or not, we did not like being put in that suite as the only tv in the room had to be awkwardly shared between the living room and the bedroom, which were in two separate rooms. You could clearly see that there used to be a second tv in the bedroom on a dresser, but that it had been removed from its stand and all that was left was a big blank wall. Weird. It didn't matter, for our tv had terrible reception and the clarity made it worthless to even watch tv. On a separate note, having a fully functioning pc on in the room for free was definitely convenient. In the end, my only real complaint if any was the amount of weird noises. Like, three different machines running off and on through out the night, thunderous rolling throughout the hotel, and weird bumps and stuff. Although I'm sure the amount of noise always changes depending on the people staying there. Overall, I would recommend it. Free Espresso, helpful staff, comfortable beds, clean, nice shower. It works.

A great location - can be noisy at times but overall great staff and place to stay.

Warm atmosphere. Kind and helpful staff. Comfortable room, and conveniently located near Subway station (Lucien Allen Metro) and access routes. Steps to St. Catherine- downtown area. Weather permitting, within walking distance of Eaton Centre, Vieux Port, museums & universities. Short ride to Mont Royal.

We were staying 4 nights at the " Espresso Hotel" and it was very nice. We had a dog with us and had no problem. Location is very convenient, casino 10 min drive, museums around the corner. Thank you for making our stay stress less)

The locatioin of the hotel is prime. You can walk to the train station and downtown, shopping area within 15 mins tops. The hotel overall is okay, but if your a couple wanting to 3-4 star treatment, this hotel is not for you. Its an okay hotel if your a bunch of guys just crashing. There's some shady characters in this hotel. Our hotel floor smelled like pot all night. If I had to recommend this hotel to anybody, lets just say, I wouldn't. I will not be booking this hotel again.

Very comfortable, large rooms that are conveniently located in downtown Montreal.

Clean, comfortable room, underground parking, Walking distance to some clubs and restaurants, seems like a safe area. This was my second stay here.

Although certain rooms are noisy the hotel staff was quick in helping us find a quiet corner. The front desk staff are very professional, friendly and helpful.

Good choice for an inexpensive stay....hotel is kind of musty and old, but comfortable room.

Great location with free wi-fi and comfortable beds. It would have been nice to have a fridge in the room though.

The bed sheets were changed after one night and there was still stains on the bed sheets. There was hairs left on the bathroom wall from the previous people that had stayed there. The towels looked clean but when I went to use them they were dirty. There was no hot water for the first day, they never informed us that there was no hot water wouldnt recommend eating the buffet and there was construction work being done and the cleaning staff were very loud every morning.

A great hotel for a concert!! We were within walking distance to the Bell Centre, the metro station, and much more! Great price, great location, great rooms. We will definitely stay again!!

the front desk staff lacks the explanation of services or do not wish to go the extra mile to give details to hotel guests. shame on the manager of the hotel, he lacks management skills. upon checking out there accrued fees that were never explained by the staff and no posting notes in the that could expained those fees. i believe just giving the guests a full detailed info could improve the rating of your hotel. so take notes, retraine your staff ASAP because high seasons is coming, if not your business will go down.

This hotel has only been moderately updated. The suites are not updated and although "upgraded" to a suite, we chose to be down-graded to a modernized room that was at least clean. Hotel was accomodating in moving us to a more suitable room, however it was very disappointing to be upgraded to a room that would be suitable for a college dorm party, not a weekend getaway. Hot water was available, however took quite some time to warm up. Location was convenient.

Parking was expensive, but I guess that is to be expected in downtown Montreal. Was awoken at 4:30 am in the morning during my stay to a couple yelling obscenities at each other in the hallway. The yelling continued for another hour and a half. Most likely will not stay at this hotel again.

4th time staying in Montreal for the weekend. Have always changed hotels... Untill now. It might be a little more expencive but honestly this is a perfect place. Only negative thing was that they don't have a inside pool. It's a block away from the bell center (let's go bruins!) also a block or so away from all the best nightlife. Parkings an extrah 20$ but it's a stangard price also it's just for the hotel and it's a garage. I will be staying here the next time I'm back. Also a plus hotelstaff was politle and accompdating. Also the room was big and the beds were extreemly comfordable.

Location is fine regarding shopping, however the restaurant area is far away. Hotel definitely needs updating. Our bath wasn't a mint condition, was blocked, but the worst was the amount of hair we found all over the bathroom! On top of that, people from reception were rude and not helpful at all. Haven't tried their food so can not say. Surely there's more better hotels in Montreal for the same price!

A group of us stayed here and had the most AMAZING stay!!! Concierge were friendly and extremely helpful and you could not ask for a better hotel location ( shorty walk to Great shopping, clubs and food. The only part of the hotel that was less than great was the bar/restaurant in the hotel. We went down one morning to find zero staff in the restaurant. Other than that the staff were wonderful. We will back!!!

This is the second time I stayed at this hotel. It is clean and well located. I was particularly pleased as I booked a room with 2 queen beds but when I arrived, there was also a very nice sitting area which was really convenient for me as I was entertaining guests before going out that night. Very reasonably priced in a great location. I will stay again.

Good or OK: Location Cleanliness Bad: Comfort Wifi never worked AC did not work No Water service in room This hotel is fine for one night stay for just a connection. Not good for a business stay.

My husband and I stayed here in mid-October and were very pleased with the location. Super easy to get to from the airport - just take 747 Express Bus (second stop!). Two blocks from the Bell Center and short cab ride to casino. Room we stayed in was very large (junior suite) with small refrigerator and microwave. Small grocery store was two blocks away! Very close to good restaurants and vibrant downtown atmosphere. Definitely recommend.

Our staying at The Espresso Hotel in Montreal wasn't really comfortable. The welcoming at checking in by the front desk employees were rude and non respectful. We were not provided with our requests made in advance. The hotel has a small fitness and sauna which need to be updated.

The Staff was courteous and professional. The hotel was generally clean. My room, was one of the worst I have stayed in. The room had laminate floors which made the room very loud....many sounds come from the hallway. The HVAC unit did not work and was extremely loud. I turned it off in the middle of the night and then the think dripped all night. The in room refrigerator had a non-functional compressor that buzzed all night. I do not know if this is the condition of other rooms but I assume maintenance of the rooms is not efficient. Otherwise, the hotel is adequate for a mid range hotel.

Nice hotel! Close to everything downtown! Friendly & helpful staff. Enjoyed our stay.
