Everything was perfect - friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast. Good location and the room was great (we are a family of four). The only thing I would advise is to provide free WiFi, we travelled through Europe on a three week holiday and most hotels provided free WiFi. We strongly recommend the hotel and will stay there again anytime.

The hotel was so well suited for my family. A wonderful front desk and a wonderful room. I would recommend this hotel highly to anyone that would like to experience a true taste of Brussels.

I have written a lengthy review on TripAdvisor which can be seen, but the main points are as follows: (1) the front desk was impersonal and understaffed (many times no one would be at the desk, every time I called the front desk from my room, no one answered the phone), nothing warm or welcoming about this place; when lost luggage was delivered to the hotel from the airport we had to come down to collect ut ourselves; (2) the 13 euro breakfast was fine but still overpriced, and was presented as a special arrangement to avoid paying 25 euros. Could not imagine paying 25 euros. (3) the room (#64 Olaf Suite) was clean, but several issues: (a) when a light was turned it blew the fuse of the entire suite, requiring a call to the front desk (see above) when the fuse was finally flipped the offending light bulb was never replaced;; (b) the walls were paper thin such that we could hear a family playing and laughing in the adjacent room until past 11pm when I finally had to go next door and ask them to be quiet; (c) the security lock on the terrace sliding door was broken preventing us from feeling safe; (d) our extra bed was to be charged for 25 euros for the stay but we learned upon checkout that it was 25 euros per night - we were too disappointed with the hotel to argue. This was a four star hotel??????

Everything to a high, 4 star standard. lovely large room with flat screen tv, king bed, clean shower, loo etc and balcony with great view on tenth floor. 2 downsides were only an hour's free Internet access and extortionate rates thereafter and streetwalkers outside at night as after dark this central shopping area is a mini red light district.

First impressions are vital. We arrived on a Saturday afternoon and the check-in desk was understaffed to the extent that though we were only 5th in the queue it took half an hour to check in. When we finally got our room key it was incorrectly activated such that we could not get into our room and had to return once more to the check-in desk where they were also adamant that they'd given us two room keys when they had only given us one. This was all a big shame as the room itself was top notch. The location, however, was further from the eurostar station than I would have liked given the hilly terrain. Fix the staffing issues on the check-in desk and this would be a great hotel!

Only had one night in Brussels & crack of dawn departure to airport. We took convenient Louise Metro after arriving for shopping and sights. Downside is nearly $50 fixed rate for taxi to airport. If not for so much luggage due to extended time in EU and early hour we definitely would have taken metro to central train and from there direct to airport. It is only about 10 miles from hotel so taxi fee is excessive.

I have lived in Brussels and wanted to be in this neighborhood. I also needed 2 beds in a room, all at a good rate, so this hotel was ideal. They were extremely accommodating and since I stayed for over 10 days they were kind enough to offer me some extras. Like many hotels there if you forego room cleaning they provide a 5 Euro coupon per day for the restaurant. Note that the only free internet is the single computer in the lobby, although they have a reasonable daily rate, and weekly rate for WiFi. . The breakfast on weekends is only 13 Euros and is a great buffet (more on weekdays). Plenty to do, see and eat in the shopping and historic district all nearby at walking distance.

Couldn't have been happier with the Bristol Stephanie. The room was spacious by American standards, and huge by European standards. And it was quiet. The bathroom was nice, with two sinks and plenty of counter space. The Avenue Louise metro station wasn't a five minute walk away, with at least two breakfast places on the way. The Congolese neighborhood with its interesting restaurants was also a convenient walk. Hotel service was very good, including the fact that we were able to check in upon arrival from New York at 7:45 a.m. And every day you keep the same towels and sheets, you get a 5 Euro voucher for the bar. I had only two peeves: the in-room safe didn't work, because one of the wires had come disconnected (OK, practically no one ever steals anything in Belgium, so who cares?); and the beds were soft and saggy for our aging backs. Also, beware that your hotels.com price does NOT include a city tax (we paid a little more than 7 Euros a night).

If you are offered a room at the back of the hotel overlooking the street, be prepared for some very early mornings, as the noise from the commercial vehicles delivering and collecting from the hotel is horrendous.

After a long flight and train trip from Canada, the large and comfortable suite was very welcome. Reception staff were very helpful, taking our luggage when we arrived early. Nice restaurants less than 15min walk away on rue Lesbroussas between Ave Louise and Place Flagey, especially Indochine (Vietnamese, vegetarian friendly).

convenient stay for 1 night. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Car parking is expensive. The fold out bed needed to be repaired by my husband before the children could sleep on it and ought to be replaced. Breakfast had a good choice.

Nice, clean, big room. WiFi was expensive. Area around hotel was nice not too long of a walk to the Louise metro station. I would stay there again

Although the hotel location is good,we could not get to the hotel by bus from the airport.At night we did not feel safe walking around .

Fairly sized rooms. Reasonably priced. Satisfactory stay.

Beds were wonky soft - the mattress slid all over the box spring. Sit on one side and the other side would lift up. We booked for 3 people but had to pay extra for breakfast for the third person plus room tax (on top of what was paid to Hotels.com). But, the location was great and in the end it all worked out.

building is older, when we first got there I was told that I did not have a reservation for a family room, this got straightened as soon as I reached for the confirmation then was given a room with two double beds which also was corrected later,

Very nice place to stay, close to the metro, but we walked to city centre. Nice neighbourhood which has many designer shops around, if you are interested in shopping.

Just ok.. Shame the staff tried to double-charge me the city tax.

The hotel was very nice and comfortable; however, we had to wait at least 15 minutes before we were able to check in, as there was only one person at the desk and she was overwhelmed. The only other problem was the restaurant. Apparently there are only about six table in the small restaurant, so when we wanted to eat there the first night we were told it was full. The second day we asked at the desk if we needed to make a reservation for dinner that night (we still didn't realize how small it was) and the desk clerk just said there was no one at the restaurant at that time to take our reservation. When we went back that evening we were again turned away because it was full; that's when the maitre d' explained how small it is. We ended up walking in heavy rain to a restaurant several blocks away.

This was our first trip to Brussels. The staff was very helpful, spoke English, and the entire hotel was superior. European hotels are generally small and have standards that are different from what Americans expect. This hotel meets all North American standards.

We loved our stay, we were near key areas and great food. The service we received was impeccable, but I must say that the sofa bed was incredibly hard on our backs. We were 4 in the room, and it resulted in soreness for days after leaving. I would at least expect a better mattress from an establishment like this, but I could feel the metal frame pressing into me. It was wonderfully clean, and had a great view.

The hotel was lovely and quiet however a bit far out of town for us

The hotel staff, the room size, the amenities, bed comfort all contributed to an excellent stay. This is the first time I stayed at a Thin it will definitely not be my last. Club membership is all top notch.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Thon Hotel Bristol Stephanie. I would say the only downside was that the pull out sofa bed could use a new matress. Other thatn that, it was excfellent! The location of the hotel, combined with the cleanliness and modern appliances was superb!

A tired hotel, in a convenient location. I arrived to find they were overbooked and they tried in a very matter of fact way to move me across town, but let me stay when I explained I needed the location. I ended up in a twin room, not double, and for the VERY high rate, it was clean, large but very old fashioned and worn. No complimentary WiFi which at their rates I would expect. Aircon didn't work very well. The mattress was unbelievably soft, felt like I was drowning. In the morning, the expensive breakfast was served under halogen searchlights, among uncleared tables, my place mat had jam stuck to it, no cruet, the food was lousy as was the coffee and service. It is remarkable only for how they get away with such poor value for service. Reception didn't ask me how my stay was on checkout, and that pretty much sums them up. Avoid if you can

This is definetely a top of the class hotel. Stayed on the 10th floor with an amazing view. I have nothing bad to say about this hotel other than a few brown stray hairs in the bathroom (I am blonde myself). I travel to Brussels quite often and have stayed a lot of places. This is by far a very nice hotel at a very afordable price.

Clean large rooms and 5 mins walk from metro. Helpful staff and accommodating of a cot for our little boy.

Although I had booked (and paid) for a Superior Room I was allocated a single (and in my opinion 'small') room. When I queried this I was given evasive answers until I produced my booking confirmation printout. More importantly the toilet was faulty - would not flush. To quote the maintenance man - 'we have a big problem here'. In fairness, when I complained I was moved (& upgraded) but I was only staying two nights and to have to move (re-pack etc) was a major inconvenience.

A nice hotel in a convenient location. A good standard of accommodation, and professional staff. I enjoyed my stay.

We spent one night here but would love to have stayed longer!! Room was spacious, amenities aplenty, and made for a very enjoyable stay. We walked to most of the sights we wanted to see as they were fairly close . We would definitely stay there again!!!

We will stay here next time and will recommend it. The price was reasonable for what is offered.We really liked the large spacious rooms that were nicely decorated with wooden floors instead of carpeting. The bathroom was nice except for a very strange shower door system that let water seep onto the tile. The amenities were nice. They gave us a room facing the road but had a good system of glass doors that kept out the sound of traffic. A tiny 50 cent bottle of water in the mini bar costs nearly 5euros which was more that excessive. The location was perfect for walking to the Grande Place and most tourist attractions and all the best shopping and restaurants..It was too bad they didn't have a cheaper and easier breakfast plan to offer other that the slightly expensive breakfast bufffet on offer. But the Pain Quotidian across the street was available.. The desk employees weren't the most knowledgeable nor were they warm and welcoming. A little bit snobbish.. We chose this hotel to have the available free parking offered, but the desk kept trying to bill us for hourly parking. All in all it was a really nice hotel.

Good hotel, very good prices, attentive staff, let down by the terrible beds! We come to Brussels often for family reasons and struggle to make this our regular choice, but can't get a truly cofortable night's sleep here.

hotel was good, one bald guy at the checkin was little rude. bed were sagging we couldn't sleep good. we left our ipad in the lobby at checkout and realized when got to railway station, ran back and asked them to check the video to see also, cuz pretty sure who was there when we left the area(one of the guest of the hotel). they were not cooperative at all and said come back in 2 hour. so we did and then made us wait an hour and then told us we can't do any thing until monday cuz there is a big wedding going on and they are very busy today.....at this point we knew there is no hope!!
