كما توقعنا تماماً. كل شىء كان جيداً فيماعدا أن حوض تصريف الدُش كان مليئاً بالشعر و كان تصريفه سىء جداً. أنا متفاجىء أن عاملة الغُرف لم تبلغ عن هذا.

خاب أملى كثيراً أنا و زوجى فى إقامتنا فى فندق و منتجع كنزنجتون كلوس. بعد رحلة عمل 9 أيام فى لندن الخارجية, حجزت ليلتين للتمتع فى وسط لندن. وجدت "لقطة" فندق 4 نجوم بسعر معقول على موقع hotels.com. كان يجب أن آخذ حذرى من التحذيرات التى تقول "غرف ضئيلة" "تمشية طويلة جداً لتصل لأقرب أسانسير يعمل" "بالمناسبة, الفندق يخضع لتجديدات هائلة!". عند وصولنا للفندق اخبرونا أن هناك تجديدات بسيطة تحدث. ياله من تقليل من شأن الأمر! كان هناك سُلم يغلق مدخل اللوبى وعُمال بناء معهم ألواح خشب كبيرة يتجولون فى اللوبى و الممرات و بلاستيك فى كل مكان بسبب طلاء الجدران, كذلك بعض السلالم و الأسانسيرات تم إحاطتها بالحبال و تم تصنيفها على أنها غير صالحة للعمل ...إلخ. أخبرونا أنه كتعويض عن الإصلاحات سنحصل على إنترنت مجانى و أفلام داخل الغرف و إمكانية الدخول لمنطقة الرياضة و حمام السباحة. إلتفاتة لطيفة, لكن الإنترنت كان لا يعمل فى مبنى الفندق كله طوال فترة إقامتنا و حمام السباحة و حوض الإستحمام الساخن كانا مغلقين بسبب مشاكل فى الكهرباء. و لأننا تعهدنا بالبقاء خارج الفندق على قدر إستطاعتنا فلم نجرب موضوع الأفلام. لكننا إحتجنا للنوم و كنا نعود فى الليل لغرفة البريد التى نقيم فيها (أحد الأَسِرّة كان يلامس باب الحمام بحيث يضطر أحدنا للتسلق على الآخر فى السرير ليصل للحمام). لم يكن النوم رائعاً. السرير كان بجوار نافذة تواجه الحارة الخلفية للفندق, عُمال البناء يصرخون و يعملون و يلقون بأنابيب معدنية فى أكوام و يتخلصون من القمامة بعد الساعة 2 بعد منتصف الليل. حاولت أن أكلم مكتب الإستقبال لكن التليفون لا يعمل (ميزة ساحرة أخرى لهذه الغرفة!).

تجربة سيئة. ذهبت خصيصاً بسبب حمام السباحة حتى أننى إتصلت قبل أن أحجز للتأكد من أنه مُتاح. لكن عند وصولى قالوا لى أنه يتم تجديده. إنتفى الغرض الأساسى من إقامتنا بالرغم من أننا إتصلنا قبل أن نصل. كان اللوبى لطيفاً لكن الغرف لم تكن على نفس المستوى. الموقع كان ممتازاً. للأسف موضوع حمام السباحة جعل الرحلة مُحبِطة. إذا لم يكن لديهم حمام سباحة يعمل لم يكن يجب عليهم أن يُعلنوا عنه أونلاين و على الهاتف.

إنه أحد أفظع الأماكن التى أقمت فيها, هناك أعمال هندسية تتم ... يبدأ العمال فى العمل من 8 صباحاً بينما النزلاء نائمون ... الغرف كانت صغيرة جداً و ليست على مقاييس فنادق الـ4 نجوم. الأسانسير لم يكن يعمل و غرفتنا كانت فى الدور الـ6. حمام السباحة و الخدمات اللاسلكية كانا خارج الخدمة. موظفة الإستقبال البولندية كانت وقحة جداً. طلبنا تغيير غرفتنا لأن مكيف الهواء كان مزعج جداً, فرفضوا و طلبوا منا أن ندفع أكثر لنحصل على غرفة مُحَسَنة. إعذروا لغتى الإنجليزية السيئة و لكننى لا أنصح أى أحد بهذا الفندق بينما هو تحت التجديدات.

التجديدات الحالية هى نوع من الإزعاج. ممرات متربة و تقريباً كل منطقة المنتجع كانت خارج الخدمة بما فيها حمام السباحة. الـ Wi-Fi فى الغرف كان سىء جداً. و آخر إهانة كان أن يطلبوا منى أن أدفع مالاً على كل حقيبة منفصلة مقابل تخزين حقائبى لبضعة ساعات بعد أن سويت حسابى! لم يحاسبى أحد من قبل على هذا فى أى مكان آخر فى العالم! الموقع جيد و الأسعار (ربما بسبب التجديدات) معقولة بالنسبة للموقع.

Ok for a short stay, good location very close to tube. Very touristy long queues at checkin and for lifts. Extra charge for gym/pool £8 that they don't mention.

Convenient luxury hotel in the heart of London. Staff were friendly and helpful. Close to Kensington park ,Hyde park and Holland park just 10 minutes walk. Definitely recommend to friends and family. One down side was no WIFI at the lobby.

I read some of the reviews prior to my trip and was not sure what to expect. However the hotel was excellent, great location and helpful staff. I had a room on my own and the only thing I would have liked was a fridge. Apart from that I would recommend this hotel and would definately stay there again.

I slept well, was very close to transport and restaurants but when I went to the bar for a glass of ice cubes, I was refused, The policy of the hotel was that I was to order the item from room service which was charged....very tight fisted. I did without....

Location is good. Hotel seems great until you get to your tiny, tiny cramped room. Our bed was loop-sided and we could literally feel every spring. This was a HUGE disappointment after traveling from California to London. Hotel is close to subway. Another downfall is they were the only hotel in Europe, out of the six we stayed at to charge us for internet service. Bottom line = overpriced for what you get.

I was in Kensington on business. This hotel is conveniently located for everything I needed. The room was clean, comfortable and furnished to a good standard. I had a double room which was ideal for me on my own but might have been a little cramped for sharing.

I was happy with everything: service, courtesy, location, comfort and price.

all staff very attentive and reception staff could not have been more helpful when we arrived in our room we were very disapointed and we had a special needs toilet which we had not asked for we were immediately upgraded to club room with no fuss or bother the club room was brilliant and we are very satisfied customers

quiet side street location, within walking distance to Kensington Palace & gardens, Science museum, Natural History museum, Victoria & Albert museum, Royal Albert Hall, shopping mall. A few blocks to a "Big Bus" hop-on-hop-off station and underground station where you can access all the rest of London. The hotel had a nice restaurant & lounge also.

small and there was nothing executive about the hotel room. Should have just gone with standard...and the place charges for ANY extras. even the gym. no thanks. wont be visiting again.

Easy to book online, good rate, quality hotel, great location very close to Kensington High Street tube.

Thought the bedroom was a little bit sparsely furnished but this did not really matter as the room was only used for sleeping purposes. Location is very good especially with Underground only about 100 metres away. We did not use the hotel for dining but this was only because we were well away from the hotel at meal times. Generally speaking, an excellent choice of hotel.

Lovely hotel & staff

The room was totally small. The bed was seriously the size of my crib growing up. The mattress was awful. The shower curtain didn't contain the water so the water was everywhere. I booked three nights but luckily I met a woman that invited me to stay at her place the rest of my trip so I got out of there after one back breaking night.

We booked a standard double room for 7 nights. Be aware that the standard rooms are not renovated. When we arrived, we were given a smelly room, with water constantly leaking from the toilet. When we first complained at the reception, they told us that they don't have another available room within the same price category but we can upgrade by paying more. That didn't seem fair because no room is supposed to constantly have water on the bathroom's floor. We insisted and we were given a renovated room which was in fact nice and clean. We were lucky and didn't have noisy neighbors but keep in mind that the walls are very thin and you can actually fell the bed moving when other room doors are closing. Noise might be a problem. We didn't use the spa/pool so I cannot say anything about them, just keep in mind that the pool isn't free although you might believe otherwise reading the hotel description. Also, there is no free WiFi, you have to pay ~10 pounds / 24 hours. Regarding food, we had dinner once at the hotel's restaurant and we didn't like it. Also the service was not that good, always having to search the waiter. We didn't have breakfast included and that was a good call since there are so many restaurants in the area where you can have a great breakfast. Without the experience with the first smelly room, this hotel has a good value for money and we had a nice stay. It is located in a perfect location if you want to visit London. But it's more like a 3 stars hotel.

For a 1-night stay, this Hotel was Ideal. The only bad point was the high cost of Drinks, and £15.50 for Breakfast meant a quick trip up the road to something reasonable.

Very nice

Nice hotel, but there was an £8 charge to use the pool! Shocking.

booked in for 3 nights,put in room was awful dated&very small,asked to change,showed another room,just as awful,moved again,not happy,room was very noisey,doors slamming late at nite&early morning,could go on and on !!

A perfect stay for visiting museums, Harrods, Albert Hall. Good travel links close by. Excellent Thai restaurant across the road.

Worst place to stay. Gave me the key to a room that a family was already in. I walked in and the mom was feeding her kid. It took the two more tries to give us a room that met our minimum standards

Old hotel in bad condition. Should be a 3star at most. Staff in reception was not very friendly. Spa area was poor. Small room. Strange fridge. A lift that didn't work properly. Stairs to entry and no ramp. Expensive breakfast.

Hotel is obviously 4* and is very comfortable in almost all areas. Our room was quite small, dated and in need of refurbishment, but probably reflected the excellent price we paid for a 4* hotel just off High st Kensington. We were given opportunity to upgrade at a cost,but we declined as we only used hotel as a place to shower and sleep in between shows and sightseeing

over the last 6 months I have stayed here about 6 full business weeks. The last couple of occasions there has been a few issues in particular this last week. I was in room 127 and a few issues noted.

room location breakfast all great but they really need to have more staff on reception for check-in check out it was madness two staff on reception but about 6 floor walkers wondering around apologising for the delay surely better they trained themselves to check-in.

i normally stay at a very budget hotel near by and its great , stayed here as it has a gym , very disappointed the room was cold the air con made a noise all night , i could have reported it but i booked in late and was to tired to either change room or have somone footer with the air con that wasnt working, back to the budget hotel its never let me down.

Great stay, lovely hotel and really friendly helpful staff. We went with a baby and 3 yr old , they were very helpful every step of the way. Definately go again.

After an upgrade to a larger double room we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a perfect location for shops on Kensington High Street. The staff were always helpful and friendly. The room was extremely comfortable too. The shower needed a bit more power but we were very happy with our stay which was comfy and good value.

The hotel was beautiful and well set in Kensignton just off the high street. However, it is unfortunate that we were welcomed by a few things, and most that we're not rectified. When we first arrived in the room, there was a disgusting sport sock that was left on top of the upper part of the wardrobe, which I found as I was placing my clothes there. Then I tried to lock away out passports and money, but the safe had no electricity. Also the aircon/heating did not work and was showing a spanner icon, and so obviously needed maintenance. It was pretty cold in the mornings when we woke up. Also, the TV connection was not good...the voices kept cutting, which made watching TV annoying. We told the caption about all the problems except for the sock, and none of them were fixed. As the daughter of a hotelier, I was disappointed that maintenance was not called straight away to fix the heating issue at least.

Location was good but room quite small!!

We had booked two rooms. On arrival one of our rooms was all wet and smelly, in the other room the heather was not functioning and the room was ice cold. When we notified reception about this, it turned out that the receptionist that initially gave us these rooms was aware of these problems, and still chose to give them to us! We also heard other guests qomplaint about the same problems (non-functioning heaters),so this is an issue the hotel must adress; this service is not four star quality. We were given two new rooms of good standard, wich should have been the hotels choice to do in the first place. Also, many of the plates in the restaurant was dirty. These to issues sets back the quality impression of an otherwise OK hotel with an excellent location.

Refurbished room was excellent. Staff friendly and efficient. Only problem was that the pool was closed for duration of our stay.

Comfy stay well worth the money that we paid. Room was a little shoddy though - but very comfortable. We have stayed in this hotel before (in a renovated room) and this proved a lot more luxurious. Location is brilliant as you are two minutes from kensington high street and the tube stop.

When I'm by myself, I really value having a pool to use. This hotel is one of the few affordable places with a pool in London and for that reason I'll book again. The room's size was not bad for London. The food was ok although i thought a compulsory 15% service charge for a sandwich was cheeky. Overall I would recommend it though.

Booked hotel because it had spa and car park. Unfortunately spa and car park came at extra cost and jacuzzi didn't work. Room was lovely and very clean and comfortable. Decor of the main hotel area was lovely. Great location being just round corner from High St Ken. The spa is not the same standard as the hotel which was disappointing.

When I arrived at the hotel it looked very impressive. My room was very nice. On the downside, I picked the hotel because of the leisure facilities however 7 of the cardio machine in the gym didn't work and there were no notices on them to inform people. The jacuzzi didn't work and nor did the spa, again no notices. Finally when I ate in the hotel my meal took an hour to arrive.

This hotel met all our expectations. We booked a great rate for early Febraury on hotels.com and were expecting a tiny room,a over priced Internet and tiny towels, as per previous reviews. But we found the opposite, a small but clean room compact but with good storage and a powerful shower. Front desk accommodated us with early check-in as we arrived at hotel at 7.30 am on an international flight, that was wonderful! Also enjoyed a great tea and scones in the dining room in the late afternoon for a great bargain off less than 6 pounds. Location was top, cabs plentiful out front. I will stay at KC again.
