This hotel offers a great location and high quality service from the staff (typical Starwood :-). That said, it's getting very dated and even had a slightly _off_ smell in the public spaces (almost a musty smell). Granted I'm a bit sensitive to sights and smells, but it was enough to make me hold off from rating them a bit higher on my overall experience. I would stay there again if the price is reasonable.

The hotel and hotel staff were exceptional, especially for the price. It was the price of a 3 star hotel, but the service of a 5. The location is perfect. Parking and restaurant prices exorberant, but given the room price, still worth it.

Good location, beautiful lobby and elevators. Yes, a little worn in some respects, but recommended in all other respects.

Room looked into a brick wall. I hate hotels that are too cheap to include free wi-fi in your room, so I would not stay there again.

The hotel was in a great location and the accommodations were beautiful. We will definitely stay there again.

It was perfect for our needs. My only disappointment was the scaffolding - I wanted a photo of facade. The King Edward was a special treat!

Beautiful hotel but no Wi-Fi. For someone travelling internationally for work that makes it impossible to stay here. Lost one star in the review and not recommended for this reason only.

Loved this hotel- very historic, has a wow factor right when you walk into the lobby, our room was ENORMOUS, the king bed was wonderful, and although the decor in the rooms was a little outdated I didn't mind. It was all high qulity and the public areas of the hotel are stunning. A wonderful place to stay for what we paid and I would definitely stay there again. Also, at first we thought the room and bathroom were very, very dark- but once we turned on the lamps it was well-lit, and after a minute or two the lightbulbs in the bathroom had a chance to warm up and they were lovely and bright as well.

Clean rooms, great location. We went for the High Tea Service on Saturday afternoon. The selection was good and the food was tasty.

We enjoyed our recent stay. Hotel was very nice, close to what we wanted to see and great value.

In the city one night for the Auto show and Hugh's Room. Very clean and comfortable hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Will most definately come back again to stay.

The staff was very pleasant. They treat guests like royalty. Keep up the great work! Rooms are amazing. You have all you need in the surrounding area.

We got an upgrade no problem, we couldn't find any fault with room or service. We never eat in hotels because of the price, there is such a wide variety around outside to choose from anyway. Don't use the parking, it's too expensive, there's a better price one, open 24 hours, around the corner on Church Street. We had a thoroughly relaxing time, we loved it.

We love to stay at the King Eddie. It's central to the great places in TO. It's traditional elegant charm makes it a great place for us. Concierge is polite and helpful, and the rooms are comfortable. The spa is great too.

The hotel was centrally located in the financial district . I went to Toronto to do some Christmas shopping at the Eatons Ctr and it was very close to the hotel. Stay were quite helpful, especially the doorman who helped with cabs, getting our car out of valet, etc. Room was very large compared to most 4-5* hotels. Had a sitting/TV area as well. Will definitely be back.

The hotel room was a bit tired and in need of a good dose of Geritol. The lighting was deficient and the room was very dark. It was very clean and comfortable.

I have stayed in a number of hotels for conference's etc that are newer but not as nice as this hotel. The staff are also a pleasure to deal with. This is by far my favorite hotel. It is always so nice to stay there.

The room was very small, bathroom floors fridgid, no key was given to access the fridge? The Sunday Paper in front of door - would have been a nice free, and welcoming treat, but it had a price. I thought was rather rude. The bed (king size) was the only thing about my stay that was truly comfortable.

Went out for New Year's Eve as a couple to our favourite jazz club; hotel was very close by. Hotel is in downtown Toronto and close to many attractions. Very lovely inside,- elegant. Room was comfortable and charming. Next day had a lovely New Years breakfast. Was pricey but many options were available and the food was delicious. The hotel capped off a wondeful New Years experience. Recommendation: please have shoe shine or cloth in the room.

Very good hotel, full of history and well preserved, super close to the subway

Top notch hotel with class in the heart of Toronto.

Our executive room was spacious, but tired and in need of a carpet clean, new wall coverings, etc. We had to call down for a coffee machine, & then it came with paper cups!, but I guess they matched the plastic cups in the bathroom. For their star rating and the rates they charge, the King Eddy should stop presenting like an inexpensive motel. And to top it off they charge $40 + tax parking per day, where other downtown hotels charge much less. Overall, very disappointing.

Always a pleasure when we stay at the King Eddie.

the room cld have been a little bigger, the tv wasnt well placed in the room ....internet should be free in the rooms we are in 2011 ! but over all the room was clean and i really enjoyed my stay not much complaints...

Lovely old hotel and convenient location. We were lucky to get a very competitive rate for our stay, but the parking is high and if you chose to read the "complimentary" newspaper left outside your door every morning, there will be a small surcharge on your bill. None of these issues would deter us from staying here in the future, if we could get a similar rate.

A lovely hotel in great location downtown on the edge of the theatre district. The staff were very helpful showing us how to use the subway and trams to get around Toronto.

Beautiful lobby, service was awesome, great price for downtown Toronto Hotel. Will reccommend for sure.

We had a great 3 nights at the King Eddy. On arrival we upgraded to a king suite that included breakfast and the excecutive lounge which was fantastic> The location is perfect for restaurants, walking around and the theatres.

- Terrible toilet paper for a four-star hotel. - After the room was cleaned I found my things on the bedside table had been knocked over. - Concierge staff were knowledgeable but not forthcoming. - Nice curtains and bedding. - Generally nicely furnished room.

This hotel is full of history. It could use a few updates, but in general it was convenient, clean, and well priced. I have no complaints aside from relatively high priced parking.

I really enjoyed my short stay at this hotel. All of the main tourist attractions are all within walking distance of this hotel. Staff also very helpful too. On arrival, I was asked when checking in, if they could recommend nearby restaraunts and pubs. The room was very stylish and clean and bathroom was excellant. If there was just one flaw, it would be that the airconditioning, when it came on during the night was a little loud which would probably only affect light sleepers like me! Overall, it's a very nice and comfortable hotel to stay in and I would be staying there again when next visiting Toronto.

We stayed in King Edward in Toronto for 3 nights while on our visit to Toronto. There was nothing we could mark down for this hotel. The reception area was very impressive, the room welcoming and clean, the service was friendly and efficient and all this for a very reasonable price. While visiting Toronto we also learnt that this hotel is important in Toronto history. The location was perfect - close to the main train station, but also walking distance from downtown and other touristy attractions. We would definitely recommend this hotel for all. Two things could have been better: we would have liked to have an option to have a breakfast buffet instead of ordering individual items of the menu and it would have better if they had informed us, that cancelling a morning paper we could save some money every day. But we found a really nice place round the corner for breakfast, so it wasn't a problem in the end.
