both my wife and I found the hotel to be excellent. Our room provided a great view of the river and Gatineau. Will return.

My Family and I found the employess at the hotel .to be very friendly and helpfull. The weather was excellent. We found museums and shopping malls were of walking distance. The food was great we had a great time.

A great stay in a top class hotel. A great experience with very professional staff, from valet parking up until check out!

Basic Clean Hotel. Nothing fancy at all. I would not consider this more than a 3 star very basic Hotel.

it 's great atmosphere and superb hotel to stay. and one thing I concern about the parking fees . and it's a bit high. roughly 20-30% of the hotel fee.

Even though I speak both official languages, I was disappointed that the front desk clerk could not serve me in french. Ottawa is the capital of Canada and as far as I know we are a bilingual country. Also, young adults were running back and forth in the hallway from 1h30 to 3h30 AM and nothing was done to stop them.

The hotel was lovely inside with curteous staff, wonderful servers at the restaurant with tremendous food. Rooms were very nice, clean, comfy! The pool and workout complex was awesome. The only problems we had were that the lobby was extremely loud and echod. Also there wer so many elevators in the parking garage that it was very difficult finding our car on the way out. You could lose your bearings easily.

Hotel room was clean, large and had good amenities Housekeeping was excellent, staff helpful. The only downside was that I found the bed too hard and the pillows small.

Great location for Ottawa sites and restaurants. Lovely beds and bedding as expected at Marriott!

We enjoyed our stay, very nice hotel, would recommend to friends, I would stay again, the only things that was bad was I orderd towels and it took forever well over 2 hours, and also when the towels came, there were harsh stains on some of them, like droppings of blood or fecis etc. not very nice at all it was a great location for us, as we had meetings in that area.

The room was immaculate and spacious. The bed very comfortable (for two much worn backs). The view from our corner room took in the parliament buildings and the Ottawa River. We couldn't have asked for a more helpful staff. Our only complaint is that breakfast was not included in the rather high price.

I stayed with my wife and 2 children and found the room to be spacious. After requesting a roll away bed, we were surprised how quickly it was delivered. We also needed a small repair to the sink and maintenance arrived quickly and resolved the issue swiftly and courteously. Overall, staff were very friendly and attentive throughout the hotel. On the down side, the parking is relatively expensive compared to other hotels in the area at $22 a night. A nearby suite hotel had parking over the same period at $9 a night. Also, the hotel building is relatively old and not well insulated. The outside walls were chilly to the touch and the hotel had sealed the balcony doors shut.

Great hotel, big rooms, very comfortable, affordable price. Small bathroom with a small bathtub, no hot tub and hotel is a little far from the market or any other landmarks. The view is compromised by government buildings. Nevertheless, enjoyed my stay because I had a car!!

We were able to go anywhere in downtown. The food is very good and the registration was fast (as we expected) Regards Eduardo

Our Fri night was brutal.....the people next door kept us up from 3-6am....we did call the front desk at 4:30am and they did ask the people to be quite....they did not...the smell of pot in the hallway and even out roon was unbelievable....I finally told them to shut it down at 6am....not happy!

Very nice hotel and a great location near the parliament buildings and Byward Market. My only complaint was the extra fees for a downtown hotel, ie. parking and hispeed internet access.

You know what to expect when you stay at a Marriott hotel, and that's why I prefer to stay there when money allows. This is a great hotel, with one minor negative. We were on the 8th floor, although I suspect you can hear the elevators wooshing by on all of the floors.It didn't bother us or stop us sleeping, but there's no mistaking it's there.

The hotel is very clean, centrally located and has a friendly staff. The rest/bar area is nice and convenient but pricey. The hotel is near most Ottawa key events.15 minute ride to Senators hockey games. Overall a good experience for the night I was there. Room was clean and comfortable.

Not a terrible hotel, comfortable beds with nice bedding. It was a great location because we were headed to the market for Halloween and we could walk there. The only downside was that we had to pay for Valet and Internet which jacked the price up by 50% of the original room. That said, overall, a great hotel.

What a great hotel a an Awesome location! Best are oh so comfortable, and staff is extra accomadating!

Visiting Ottawa on regular basis - our daughter is resident in Ottawa, so we visit very freguently, always staying in Marriott Hotel - parking is very important to us, Rideau Chanell and all the attractions which this city has to offer is by nearby, Parlament, museums, shopping - Rideau Center, just minutes of walking distance. Hotel is immaculate in every ways - Starbuck Coffee in the hotel, our favor ........ very much recomended, pleasant stay, very nice hotel stuff - from front desk, cleaning personel through the restaurant attendance - to mentioned about this restaurant menu - you have to try least once - from breakfest to dinner - excellent !!

my husband and i have been staying at this hotel, sometimes known as the raddisson, for over twenty years. we just celebrated our 20th anniversary. other than the recent changes, we loved the huge chandelier in the lobby that is no longer there, it was a perfect weekend. also other than the fact that i lost an expensive earring and did'nt discover that until we were on our way home...the ottawa marriott is a fabulous place to stay. great service, too.

This hotel was really great. The bed was amazingly comfortable, and the view of parliament was breath-taking. We did stay on the 19th floor, so if you are lower, you may not be able to see it. Great spot, really cozy room. Good time.

Helpful, friendly staff... excellent buffett breakfast, oatmeal and fresh fruit (cardiac diet). Will return.

Stayed at the hotel with my family and would absolutely stay there again. The hotel is in a great location, its walking distance to all the main areas of interest.

That was a classy hotel and good services! :)

One of the best hotels I ever stayed. Very well located, in walking distance to the parlament and very comfortable rooms. My family specially enjoyed areas for children and teens to play. It also has a very good laundry.

Best Hotel I have ever stayed at. Comfiest bed of life and it was so clean. Beautiful view of Parliement Hill and convinient location. Just a walk away to everything downtown. Parking was a little pricey, but overall worth it. I would definetly stay there again and again everytime I visit Ottawa.

No complaints about this hotel. Had a nice room with a balcony. The pool was very nice as was the adjacent patio. The location was decent - less than a 10-minute walk to Parliament Hill. I would stay here again.

Perfect for families and business alike. Great amenities and location. No qualms about staying there again. Room was clean, beds super comfortable, and the linens clean and crisp. Parking is next door (so you're on your own if you don't pay for valet). Hotel advertises a rotating restaurant but it is now (and forever I am told) defunct. So only one restaurant/ bar on the main level; adequately fine for a hotel restaurant/bar. The games rooms and pool were a nice divsersiom for the kids and for us. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and ... happy. If the price fits your budget, don't hesitate. It's a fine hotel.

Wasn't happy about the parking. Hotel used public parking as there own but couldnt use there name so you were completely lost and had no idea were to park and to top it off it's on a busy 1 way street. Rooms exuast fan didn't work and you could hear showers and every elevator being used in your room. Also the wallpaper was ripped and the tub had a massive chip in it. The breakfast was great and the staff was amazing.

The location was perfect, in walking distance to tourist attractions. The bed was not that comfortable and the mattress was noisy when somebody moved. the hotel staff was very friendly, polite and helpful. I didn't like the extra $22 charged for parking.

We stayed for two nights on the Canada Day weekend and found the experience to be excellent. Despite the hotel being full, the service was friendly and professional. Perfect location too!

we are family of immigrants and it is very obvious how unfriendly the hotel staff are for immgirants like us, from the valet people to the front desk. we tried asking what are the restaurants nearby but not willing to help. DISAPPOINTED

A delay in registration: Front desk had problems locatiing the reservation number, so print out of confirmation was required. Problem evidently with transfer of Hotels.com numbers to Marriot numbers.

Nothing outstanding. I missed certain things found in other hotels (e.g. in-room movies / games, bath robes, mini-bar etc.). Air conditioning system was terrible, way too loud (kept me up all night) and barely cooled the room down (even though I had it at 18 degrees). Linens were bad... felt "synthetic" and the pillows were not great. Service was very good though, and the Spin restaurant was excellent.
