We stayed 2 nights in this hotel because we read that the dinner buffet in Lemon Garden was good. After having the buffet lunch, we decided to give the dinner a miss. The breakfast spread had a lot of variety but I wouldn't say that the food was really tasty. Just ordinary. Would prefer to venture out into the capital to try the local hawker fare. The pool was a little small. Overcrowded with kids. No chance of doing laps. The lush green environment was nice but bring along your insect repellent. Overall, I think the rooms are reasonable for the price. Perhaps I'll try out other 5 star hotels in the area next time if the prices don't differ much.

Excellent location in relation to the city. The service from staff was awesome after spending 3 weeks in Italy. Room was small but very comfortable. Finally a King Size bed. Huge and powerful shower. You MUST try the"all you can eat" buffet. I stood there bug eyed at all the food. Truly awesome. The only negative is the Kuala Lumpur CBD is a long way from the airport. Over 80kms I think. So you wont get there quick. Thats not the Shangri-La's fault though. Blame the city planners..... Thank-you for having us.

The hotel where everything is working. It was a sheer pleasure to stay there again. The serving of breakfast had amazing selctions but very crowded. Internet functioned very well in the room and the service thereof was impeccable. A pulsating nightlife is just around the corner.

Spent 3 nights there, which was wonderful. Staff were very welcoming and the guest rooms were extreemly comfortable and very quite. Would love to have stayed longer. Would recommend this Hotel to anyone cosidering spending some time in KL.

A very friendly hotel with all the features you would expect of five stars, but no stuffiness! Good food, helpful staff, good value for money in central KL.

We needed to have an extra one-night stay in KL and decided to book the Shangri-La as it seemed to offer luxury for the price that you often pay for an ordinary 3-4 star hotel night in the Europe. Service was top-notch, breakfast superb and rooms really clean and comfortable with a lot of finishing touches that give the impression that everything has been thought of (separate night-time lighting, laptop-compatible safe, others). Only drawback is that the hotel is a bit far from especially the main shopping venues. It's also just on the other side of what looks like a "ring road" - 4-5 lanes going to both ways. The traffic light system in KL really isn't efficient at all and you'll be waiting for ages just to pass the road and head for the city. Nevertheless, Shangri-La was easily worth the money and a truly luxurious experience.

Good hotel with great service. Great gym with spa.

Overall service was poor, although I appreciate that service is a widespread issue in KL/Malaysia.

Beautiful hotel. We have a beautiful room overlooking the Garden. We had the buffet dinner - pretty hard to resist. The service was great.

Very central. It is 5 minutes walking distance from the Petronas Towers and 10 minutes from great shopping at Bukit Bintang.

The hotel was beautiful as expected for a five-star. Staff in KL are extremely hospitable. Great spa and salon! Amazing hotel in an amazon city.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It's ideally located in the City centre. Our room was very clean spacious and had an amazing city view. I was very impress with the quality and choices of breakfast. The hotel restaurant 'Zipangu' is a must try! The staff were especially helpful. The hotel manager was kind enough to allow us a later checkout in our last day after I felt unwell in our last night. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and I look forward to coming back.

Just i can say every thing is in excelen level. I am very satisfied to stay in This lotel. Lovly loby.,Romantic room,service is the best,Totaly i recomend to traveler to Kualum Pour to stay in same hotel.If 100 time more i visit Kuala i will stay Shangri_la lovely Hotel

Most memorable and you live up to the expectation as a first class hotel. The staff are well well train and attentive upon arrival and check into the room. Rooms super good and comfortable with most details of the guest needs are taken into consideration . Well done and keep up the good work

This hotel is beautiful - has everything you could need. Had dinner at the Zipangu restaurant and the food was amazing. What makes this hotel though is the really helpful and friendly staff. They were always willing to help us out in any way possible. It's also within the perfect location for seeing all the main sights within walking distance and is also less than 5 mins walk to the nearest monorail station. I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be coming back to Shangri-La in KL and will also be staying at their other hotels!

this hotel is unbelievable. starting from the lobby to check in, room service, until check out. all is great.. since this is a 5 star hotel, we get a 5 star service and it is to be expected.. but it's trully recommeded.. breakfast n lunch at the lemon green cafe is trully beyond words.. u have to try it your self...

I am very happy with the staff, reception, environment and the cleanliness of the hotel from looby to the room. The environment is superb and make you feel fresh at all time. The location is strategic and easy to move around.

I was stayed in the horizontal floor so I can access to the Horizontal Club Lounge. The service was excellent there and the food was also very good. I stayed 3 nights and the food for the afternoon tea and evening cocktail keep changing everyday. The breakfast is full of choices. If you have time, you should also try the dinner buffer,for the price of $105++, that is absolutely good value for money. The swimming is a bit too small, but you can have a good sun tan if the sun comes out because there are plenty of sunbeds there and the sun will not block by the surounding buildings.

Beautiful hotel.. Very convenient location! Shops and landmarks all close by. Staff are so friendly and helpful and go out of their way to help!

Not impressive from outside but very beautiful inside.Tastefully decorated, an air of luxury and comfort. Food was very good and reasonably priced.Excellent service from the staff. The only negative was the small room looking out to a multistoried parking garage. A hotel of this calibre should not have a room like this.

This is a truly fantastic hotel, there really is no reason to leave. Rooms are gorgeous, clean, and comfortable. There is a full size fitness center with steam room and hot tub. The service is phenomenal. The real highlight however is the breakfast buffet. If you get the opportunity to stay here, do so.

Depend what you are looking for. I chose this hotel for the location. It's only 5 mins walk to the twin tower and klcc mall. On the way to the mall, I see lots of restaurants around me. There are varieties of food to choose from. I pick this hotel for my return trip. The hotel staffs are very professional and polite. Would definitely recommend this hotel to my friends.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here well recommended although we did upgrade to Club room on arrival its a must if you want a relaxing stay....

Hi, I had a 2 night stay with Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur in Oct 2011. It was noted that the breakfast on almost the same for the 2 mornings when i went there. Hotel should look into changing at least 30 or 40 percent of the items daily. It will benifit all guests especially long stay guests. Overall display, replenish and quality of breakfast is ok, with rooms for improvements, for an international brand like Shangri-La.

We were overcharged for several items (car parking, food, etc) and the management refused to change the bill despite their mistake. The hotel is OK but we have stayed in much nicer 5 star in KL

I went to KL for 3 weeks Holidays. I stayed in Prince Hotel ,The Ascot Hotel, Shangri La Hotel and the Park Royal Hotel in Penang, all booked through Hotels.com and they were all excellent Hotels. and very central to all the main attractions.I haven't a bad word to say about them. The Shangre La was the best of the best ,the service is outstanding,the food is very good.This hotel is defenatley a five star Hotel. If u ever go to KL you must give it a try,and dont bring any toilrteries as it's all provided for you.

We arrived late and left early after only one night, so I can't speak too much about the facilities. However, the room was wonderful. Very clean, comfortable, and modern. The breakfast buffet was included in our room rate. They served Asian and Western dishes, pastries, fresh fruit, an omelet bar, but no bacon and the coffee wasn't that great. The muffins were pretty good, though. They say the Twin Towers are only a 5 minute walk but it took us about 10-15 at least. Also, there are two Shangri-La Hotels in KL, so bring the address with you if take a taxi to the hotel.

Great hotel but location is only an "OK" bc it is not really close to the main shopping areas. The rooms are very clean and apparently fully renovated in 2009, but the room looks rather dated.
