Beware of hidden parking costs £15 per day which need to be factored if comparing prices . Rooms no better than a travel lodge in size. Gym and pool area good size. Location wise it's excellent , right in city centre next to railway station but not too noisy. Sky sports a bonua in the rooms.

Just had a lovely 3 night stay at the Hilton Leeds City Hotel - Double deluxe room was clean and comfortable and our two teenage boys loved the yorkies left as a welcome gesture. The pool was lovely and the steam room and sauna were very relaxing after a busy day shopping. The Leeds v Westham game was part of our trip and Elland Road was just a short taxi ride from the hotel. We will certainly be back and would highly recommend.

Room ok - but resturant was expensive with crappy food and poor service! Resturant a disgrace for this hotel!

A disapointing stay, hotel was dated inside, general areas unkept, dirty, when you walk in main door you immediately hit a strong smell of chlorine from the leisure club, then yo have to go up two floors to reception area, staff were pleasant, bar was very expensive, rooms were basic and worn, i stayed at the front of the hotel on the tenth floor yet i was awake most of the night from noise from the street etc. would not class this as a 4 star............

Brilliant location and rooms are vary spacious and great with two separate rooms. Staff really helpful. Rooms were clean but needed updating.

Upon arrival the staff were very welcoming and helpful, the room was very clean and well set out although if I could find one negative point it would be that the en suite wasn't as large as I had expected. As a whole staying at the hilton was a very pleasant experience and I would definitely return in the future.

The hotel was well located, although a little strange in design. A old hotel, but well enough maintained with comfy rooms.

We arrived at 11 pm after a very long drive and just wanted to check in and go straight to bed. The hotel is badly in need of refurbishment and the corridors to the bedrooms had a musky smell. On entering my room I realised the toilet hadn't been cleaned. All in all, pretty disgusted. We were too tired to complain, just really needing a bed for the night but please avoid like the plague.

Excellent Hotel well situated for shops, restaurants etc.Check in efficient and friendly, rooms a little small but have all the facilities you need for a short stay.Only complaint it was January and the heating was almost non existent in the room.Breakfast was excellent and staff very friendly.Overall a very pleasant experience.

The hotel was easy to find coming in off the motorway. As previously mentioned by other guests, the multi storey carpark is very tight but having on site car parking was extremely convenient. The room itself was small but comfortable enough for our 1 night stay. Shame there was no dressing table mirror - I rather like being able to sit down to do my hair/make-up and when there are 2 adults getting ready it makes life easier if you can also get ready in the bedroom. We did'nt sample the restaurant or leisure facilities so can't comment on them. Only a few minutes walk from the shopping centre/local restaurants and not too far from the train station either.

Had a quick one night stay here and it was very convenient to get to transport links - both leeds rail station and bus services to leeds bradford airport. Room was fine and breakfast was good to fair.

My wife and I stayed at the Hilton between Christmas and the New Year for one night with Breakfast. The Two ladies on reception were very helpful and friendly and we were allowed to check in earlier than 3pm because our room was ready. The room was clean, tidy and very comfortable - just one slight hickup with the door handle to the bathroom coming off in my hand but this was fixed immediately after reporting it. Breakfast was buffet self service and was very nice. Car Parking was available for the night but the in / out ramps are very tight so be careful (I scraped my front wing - my fault entirely but a bit of a dampner after a very pleasant stay). The location is good for the railway station, shops, bars and theatres. We will definately stay again.

We thought everything was fantastic but be warned if you drive a big car the carpark is a squeeze to get out of...

Having stayed at a number of hotels in Leeds this ranks as one of the worst. The list of complaints includes - double room booked but only twin available, lift not working so forced to use stairs for whole weekend, front door to hotel not working so constant congestion, steam room & sauna dirty with empty lager cans in them, lights fused in our rooms 3 times over the weekend, hotel could not even supply a map of Leeds, hotel car park ridiculously small for an average sized car, etc.

Hotel good in every way,but restraunt food not up to usual standard.Would not have evening meal again as plenty of good restraunts near by.

nice hotel but staying 2 nights it would of nice for the cleaners to put some more water and milk in the room and maybe some biscuits. going in december when christmas parties were there was a bit of a pain as we could hear the music from our room all in all very good weekend away at this hotel, great breakfast with great service

my wife and i had a great time, we enjoyed our stay . loved the personal touches

Not worth the money. Overrated underheated and overpriced all round.

A bit drab and dated, not worth the money we paid for it, have stayed at cheaper hotels that were better. Overall not what you would expect from the hilton brand, in need of updating. Also another drunken guest thought it would be amusing to set the fire alarm off at 4.30am so had to stand outside in the cold for over half an hour, don't stay of a weekend if with children or not wanting to be kept up all night with drunks!

THIS WAS NOT THE FIRST TIME THAT WE STAYED IN THIS PARTICULAR HOTEL. IN FACT ANY TIME WE VISIT LEEDS WE PREFER TO STAY THERE AS IT IS ALWAYS MORE RELAXING THAN OTHER NEAR BY HOTELS. DURING OUR STAY THERE THIS TIME THE FIRE ALARM SOUNDED AT ABOUT 0515 IN THE MORNING. IT TOOK AGES FOR EVERYONE TO EVACUATE THE BUILDING IF IN FACT THEY ALL DID. THERE WAS NO ONE AS FAR AS I COULD SEE WHO WAS IN CHARGE NO ONE DID A HEAD COUNT TO SEE IF IN FACT THE HOTEL WAS EVACUATED IN FULL. IT WAS A TOTAL MESS

Great city centre location. Staff all extremely helpful; good bar and good clean hotel room. We had 4 people in our room, and we got a suite with a double bed and a sofa bed and all the supplies (towels, toiletries etc.) were replaced daily. Would definitely recommend this hotel to friends.

Nice hotel, clean, comfortable and close to the Train station. Friendly staff - would stay there again

It was only a short stay 11pm - 9am, but it was very comfortable, quiet and a great traditional breakfast. Definitely on my "must return to" list.

Stayed in a triple room for one night and, although the room hadn't been refurbished recently, it was clean and tidy with big television and tea/coffee, biscuits. Pool, spa and sauna was a treat with everything you needed eg hairdryers, towels etc. Car park was under the hotel and wouldn't have liked to have had to drive a big car around it. Usual Hilton fees apply. Staff very friendly and breakfast was your usual Hilton buffet that fills you nearly for the day. Short walk to shops, pubs and restaurants. Would definitely stay here again.

We had a double suite for 3 people. The camping bed was uncomforatble and the bed linen had a hole in it, but the room was clean and generally comfortable. We were on the 6th floor and it was perfectly quiet, no street noise and we were lucky to have considerate neighbours! The best aspect of our stay was most certainly the breakfasts - amazing choice, nice quality food. One of the best hotel breakfasts I have had! We stayed over for the Leeds festival, and it was a pleasure to have a bed and running water at the end of a very damp day. The service from the hotel staff was spot on, especially the breakfast staff. Would definately stay again if the rate was decent.

This hotel smells odd, I mean really odd. There is obviously an issue somewhere as all around there are industrial strength air fresheners. The bedroom was poor and old, with the single most uncomfortable bed in the history of hotels. Tried to take a call in the bar, and due to there being a massive escalator in need of a service, I could not hear a word. Less noise in Kings Cross station. This is a horrible hotel.

good value for money

Location,cleanliness and comfort all satisfactory. Only fault was lack of of free WI-Fi which is a major factor in hotel choice in 2011.

I was so impressed with the service and comfort when I stayed overnight for a course held at the Leeds Hilton hotel: that I booked a second night and treated myself. The service was excellent, the staff all very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. I am suffering withdrawl symptoms now I cannot easily get one of their caesar salads and chocolate crunch cakes - and the breakfasts mmmmmmm.

This was a fantastic deal with Hotels.com. We could not fault the hotel for the price we paid. One negative comment was that we ordered a taxi through reception which never turned up resulting in making us late for our appointment. Also, would be reluctant to eat at the hotel as prices were too high.

absolutely fantastic stay, booked 3 rooms for my sons 21st, 1st 2 rooms accomodated 4 people, was worried that they would be quite cramped as the price i paid was so reasonable, infact the rooms were more than big enough for 4 strapping lads in each 1. Staff were brilliant. Breakfast lovely. Will definately be booking again

overall not bad but upset that my requested early morning wake up call did not happen and I got stuck in a lift!

Hi, I have stayed in dozens of Hiton properties and this is no where close to anyone of them. The whole hotel needs renovation. I booked non-smoking room but it was not available when i checked in.

The hotel was easy to find, with good catering facilities, although the gym was a touch 'industrial'. The only real problem that I had with this hotel was the layout of the attached multi-storey carpark, which was very difficult to navigate, and I was only in a small hire car!

This Hotel has well trained staff who are so professional and are a threat to deal with. The rooms are a good size with a very good bathroom. The choice of food is fantastic and you would find it hard to beat. The swimming pool is very clean & so is the gym & changing rooms. This hotel has everything within a very short walk of it. Shops, Bars, Restaurants and beautiful walks. This hotel is so central with everything you want on it's door step.

Got the hotel for a good price, parking was £15, but the hotel is near Leeds centre, walking distance from train if arriving by train. Very convenient, expensive if paying full price but some good deals to be had.

the whole hotel experience was excellent,the staff were all nice and willing to go that extra mile for you.We had dinner at jaimie olivers restaurant which was about a five minutes walk from the hotel and that was fab.the whole weekend was a dream, i would definatley recommend it ,going again in july.

I expected more from a Hilton hotel i have stayed in other hotels around Leeds which are a lot better, i would not be staying there again.
