Dolder Waldhaus - زيورخ

Great service, great view, close to the forest yet 10 minutes from downtown are some of the reasons I have been staying there everytime I come to Zurich for the past 15 years. Rooms could be modernized a bit.

We felt very comfortable beeing 9 people (6 adults and three small children). We liked it so much that we are planning to return to this hotel every time we visit Zurich. We especially enjoyed the marvellous view over the lake and the city. The service was excellent and the personnel aiways kind to us.

Very quiet location off the city center with wonderful panoramic view over city of Zurich and lake. Excellent access to city through next door cable rail and steady presence of taxis. Front desk staff very firendly and helpful, breakfast buffet staff could display a friendlier attitude, although service is efficient and complete. Overall design of hotel slightly outdated but standard is high. Good value for money in context of Zurich.

Compared to some of the other hotels I have stayed at in Zurich (Steigenberger, Eden, Central Plaza), this place is less cozy and/or has a lot less character to it. Everything is fine though and good value for money. The building seems like a 60'ies construction, well maintained and with a lot of rooms having a great view over the lake and the city. I think the big plus comes from the large swimming pool and outdoors activities that you can't get in most hotels in the city, and the fact that the charming Dolder Bergbahn takes you down to the city in a few minutes.

My wife and I were extremely impressed with the Dolder Waldhaus. We would go back in a heartbeat, and we would recommend this hotel to anyone. The room was large, and extremely clean. The hotel is situated on a hill, and the view of Zurich was tremendous. The pool/sauna was a perfect way to relax after sightseeing. The public transportation in Zurich takes you directly to the front door of the hotel, so there is little/no need of a car. I would pick this hotel over a downtown hotel, because transportation is so easy, the views are gorgeous, and the area around the hotel is so quiet and peaceful. And the people who worked there were absolutely wonderful. They always were pleasant, smiling, and eager to please the guests. Our stay was very enjoyable.

Comfortable stylish rooms with stunning views over Zurich to the Zurichsee. Very good quality food in restaurant although limited menu after 9PM and high prices. Breakfast surprisingly basic. Residential neighborhood, nice and quiet but no alternative restaurants within walking distance. Good free internet connection. Close to university/ hospital. Worth staying here just for the view.

This is a nice hotel located on a hill a few miles outside of the city proper. Still easy to get to with public transportation. I used a hotel shuttle bus to get between it and the airport. This cost me about $35 each way. I expect a taxi would have been about $60 to $70. During my stay I used a 72 hr Zurich City Pass on public transportation which cost about $38. The Dohler Bahn Tram is included. This tram stops right at the hotel and at Romerhof Platz where you can connect to several other trams that go into the city. The tram runs at verious times depending on the time of the day but genearlly at least twice an hour and up to about 5 tams an hour. Also used the free hotel shuttle bus for one trip into the city. It runs once an hour. Free wired LAN connection to internet but if you want to use the wireless LAN, which is available, there is a charge which is quite pricey compared to USA costs but that is pretty much the same all over the Zurich area. Food at the hotel was good. Room was on the small side but still had work desk, queen size bed, small balcony with great view of the city, nice bath and very clean. Hotel has spa services and swimming pools which I didn't have time to use.

Great and comfortable stay. Very convenient location for my business meetings. Beautiful indoor pool and spa area. Room service was fast and food was delicious!

We just returned from a wonderful 7 night stay at the Dolder Waldhaus. Upon check-in, the staff was delightful. We arrived very early in the morning but the gentlemen let us check in. The room was wonderful and large by European standards. The room had a balcony which overlooked Lake Zurich. The staff of the hotel was wonderful.. Free Internet was also a plus. We were even offered an umbrella by the front desk on those rainy mornings. We would definitely stay again.

Sehr angenehm. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal. Absolute Ruhe, schöner Balkon mit Aussicht auf den See.

Recomendo, agradavel, bom serviço, atenciosos, ambiente muito acolhedor.

Un peu loin du centre, mais compensé par une vue magnifique et un service parfait.

Pour la ville de Zürich, qui est relativement chère, je n'ai que du bien à dire de cet hôtel avec une grande exception : les chambres n'ont pas de climatisation. A cause de ce grave manque, j'ai assez mal dormis et ce même avec la fenêtre grande ouverte! Je n'irai plus jamais dans un 4 étoiles sans climatisation en été! La Suisse devrait moderniser son parc hôtelier à ce niveau.

Si vous connaissez l'Hotel Grand Dolder du même groupe, vous serez très déçu de Dolder Waldhous, ils sont l'un à coté de l'autre mais pourtant ce sont deux opposés. Grand Dolder est un Palace et Dolder Waldaus et un Formule1, les femmes de chambre vous réveillerons en parlant très fort dans les couloirs... les mûrs sont en papier, vous entendrez la chasse d'eau de votre voisin. Expérience à ne pas recommencer.

Отель удачно расположен к общественному транспорту, всего около 10-15 мин до центра. Вокруг лес и красивый вид на город. Номера уставшие, хотя и чистые. Все очень скромно, начиная с банных принадлежностей и обстановки в номере, заканчивая скудным завтраком. Но это же Швейцария ( здесь также, как и в соседней Германии без особого шика, но дорого)

Tout d'abord attention à ne pas confondre cet hôtel avec le Dolder Grand, juste à côté mais sans comparaison. Le Dolder Waldhaus est juste une tour en béton sans charme. Nous avions réservé pour la vue sur Zurich, le standing espéré (vu que le prix est élevé) et la présence d'un "spa". La vue était effectivement au rendez-vous, la chambre correcte mais basique. Quant au spa, il n'y a qu'une piscine et un sauna et, chose qui n'était pas annoncée, ce sauna est réservé aux femmes les deux tiers de la journée donc aux moments où nous étions à l'hôtel il nous était interdit! Cela fait donc très (trop) cher payé pour uniquement une chambre basique dans un hôtel sans cachet avec un sauna qu'on ne peut pas utiliser! Nous avons fait part de notre mécontentement à la réception qui nous a dit qu'ils ne feraient aucun geste commercial; nous avons demandé à être rappelés par un responsable mais cela n'est jamais arrivé. En résumé nous avons donc l'impression d'avoir gaspillé une somme conséquente et nous déconseillons fortement cet hôtel. Nous étions juste avant à Gstaad où pour un prix inférieur nous avions une chambre dans un hôtel de même catégorie mais avec petit déjeuner et tea time inclus, accès sans restriction à une belle piscine et 3 saunas/hammams, c'est dire quel a été le contraste...

Hotellet ligger på en av kullarna som omgärdar Zürich. Utsikten är fenomenal över både City och sjön. Hotellet har en gratis Shuttlebus till City en gång per timme dagtid. Det finns också en bergbana som tar en ner till City. Utsikten är det som är det bästa, dock är personalen mycket hjälpsam och trevlig. Alltid allert service och vänligt bemötande. Vissa av rummen har heltäckningsmatta och borde renoveras men allt är fräscht och rent. Härlig pool med bastu och några stairmasters.

Alla bekvämligheter finns på hotellet. Särskilt vill vi framhålla den välskötta inomhuspoolen. Direktbussen varje timme till Zurich centrum uppskattade vi extra
