I had a wonderful 1 night stay at the Four seasons. I was in town for two days to visit the art museum and the Springstein exhibit at the Constitution Center. I am a woman traveling alone and the staff was excellent in meeting all my needs. My only regret is that in the Swan Lounge there is only live music during the Saturday Afternoon Tea. I have stayed in other fancy hotels in New York, Madrid, Paris & Rome. There was always some kind of live music every day at least during the late afternoon/early evening hours. In a hotel of this class and price, I am extremely surprised that the Four Seasons does not find it necessary to have a musician pay that georgeous grand piano in the Swan Lounge more than a few hours every Saturday afternoon. I was told that the four Seasons is trying to appeal to a more "trendy" crowd these days. In order for a hotel to be "trendy" these days it does not have to sacrifice great class and sophistication. Excellent hotel a bit removed from key spots (theater etc.) but well worth the price.

From the moment we arrived until the moment we came back after checking out because we left a coat in the room, the service was top-knotch at this Four Seasons. Our children were offered a toy on arrival, the valet parking was kind and understanding (we had to ask to get the car back right away because we forgot something in the car), the bellboy was great with advice, check-in was beyond courteous. Every person at the restaurant made sure our needs were taken care of, and in a way that seemed natural and like the people are just nice, not overdone. The room was lovely, as were the hallways, the pool and spa, the lobby...everywhere. We had a mini-vacation during our overnight stay, and we felt like because of the great service, the higher cost of the 5-star hotel was worth it.

Well, the room was nice and the bartenders at the bar were very professional. However, the bed was too soft, the shower was awful and the toilet clogged in the morning. Finally, I ordered coffee from room service - quite the splurge - $15.00 and it was watery. All and all a very luke warm stay.

I could not be more pleased with my experience from the moment I checked in (Lauren sought any available room upgrade for our special occasion), to a surprise delivery of chocolate cake and truffles to the room (with "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate on the plate), to every person from room service, valet, maitre de, and waiter wishing us well throughout our stay. It was a tremendously wonderful experience.

This hotel was superb from the moment we stepped in the front door until we left the next morning. I couldn't say enough nice things about it - the spa was great, dinner at the Fountain Room was delicious, the bed was so comfortable, the bath products were wonderful, the service was fantastic, etc., etc.

We found a wonderful deal for a room at the 4Seasons, it was a treat to over look the park for the price. Parking our car cost 25% of what the room cost, we now know how they make up for the specials. The conceirge [sp?] was abrupt and seemed put out when we asked for assistance.

We celebrated our special anniversary a the Four Seasons in Philadelphia. At checkin they asked if we were celebrating a special occasion and when we told them what we were celebrating they moved us to the Executive Suite where we received special sweets. We recognize that the hotel wasn't full- it was Christmas weekend but they could have kept us right where we signed up foe. they didn't and we have been raving ever since!

Excellent staff. They were very accommodating, friendly and sincere. Not stuffy like some of the 5 star hotels. The room was comfortable and elegant. My only complaint was room service for one night and the quality of the meal -- pulled pork and cold french fries. Otherwise, outstanding!

The room was spectacular all around! The service phenomenal! This was a romantic getaway for us in the Christmas holiday season....we enjoyed it fully!!! The only negative comment would be about the Swann Lounge where we had a late dinner. The room had a cold draft inpsite of the fireplace and the background music (weird 80's rock) from the bar area was horrible and did not fit the mood or ambiance of that evening!

Excellent ... the best hotel and event food we have experienced one suggestion ... all showers should have a vertical bar to help one to step into the bath tub near the faucets ... most have these in todyas accomodations

Very expensive but get small room and restroom. Have to pay for internet and bottled water is $8. The spa and pool were nice. Does not compare to Ritz-Carlton or Four Seasons Las Vegas.

Had an excellent stay, great hotel, right in center city, close to a lot of sites, resturants, etc. Hotel staff were great!

Great Hotel, needs a bit of spucing up and it getting dated. We found the room too dry for early December but we didn't complain at the time. Staff was absolutely wonderful as was the location.

This is a great hotel. I caught the staff on a bad night that proved very aggravating. Room service kept ringing through to the operator, who promised to have room service call me back. Three calls later, still not getting through to room service and getting attitude from the hotel operator about the whole thing. A call to the night manager shook things loose, and the staff started behaving like the Four Seasons' staff. Offered me a free meal from room service and copious apologies. (Voluntarily refused the meal. Didn't want to order from a kitchen whose staff I just got in trouble). In the end, they made it right, and I was overall happy with the outcome. It just shouldn't have been that hard.

Top notch service from the second you pull up to the moment you pull away. Cleanest rooms and most comfortable beds I've ever encountered at a hotel.

We had a fabulous time! This hotel is filled with wonderful people who did everything they could to make our stay great. Our only comment would be that it might be time for some general maintenance at the property, particularly in the room corridors. All-in-all it is a wonderful experience.

Friendly, helpful staff, well-maintained rooms and common areas. Pricey, but it delivers what you expect from a Four Seasons.

The Hotel was great, but the bed was broken. I mentioned it on checkout and expected to get an apology from the hotel after they checked it out. Never heard from them.

The Four Seasons is a lovely hotel, but the room we had was small and the lighting is terrible in the rooms. We were looking over a gravel roof. It was a lackluster stay. Probably better for business stay in that it is out of the way by Logan Square. It was our first visit to Philadelphia, loved the city would probably stay somewhere else next time.

Wonderful Hotel. Excellent location. The staff makes you feel like you are very special.

The hotel evokes an old world sense of elegance the minute you step inside. Spacious rooms buffered street noise, extra comfy plush beds and outstanding service rate A+. The housekeeper purchased a bottle of juice and brought it to the room when she overheard me desire one. Drinks were overpriced in the bar and the bar staff needs a reminder that the guest is always right, especially when commenting on a wine .

Every request we made (firmer pillows, another pair of slippers) fell on deaf ears and required multiple requests. Not to the standard of a Four Seasons. Also, the pool area, while pretty, was loaded with children who were minimally supervised (and the staff wasn't enforcing this supervision). If you're looking for a quiet weekend in an upscale hotel, you might want to look somewhere else. Too much money for less-than-perfect-four-seasons service.

From the first encounter with staff at entrance to the final open door by the doorman this was a most memorable and enjoyable experience. My wife and I stayed for an extended weekend for the purpose of attending a Rutgers law school commencement ceremony. What impressed us was not the quality of service, food and other amenities, but the genuine friendliness of all staff that we came in contact with. One assumes that a staff at a highly rated hotel will have been properly trained in public relations. However, the staff at this hotel, to us, seemed to truly enjoy dealing with the guests. When returning to Philadelphia this hotel will again receive our patronage.

The Four Seasons is a beautiful hotel with wonderful views. My only criticism is that there are other hotels with the same surroundings and service for much lower rates. I much prefer the Rittenhouse and will not be booking my getaways at the Four Seasons again.

Beautiful hotel, with a very attentive, professional staff. The immediate surrounding area isn't fun, and is sort of businessy. The hotel was quiet and I was able to get a great night's sleep. Would stay there again, and this time try out the spa.

Great hotel, but I must admit I stayed here only because of a 50% discount special hotel.com was having. However, even at full price I think this hotel is fairly priced given the outstanding quality.
