Great location but the room we had was updated and didn't have the old-world feel we had hoped for. The Carousel is a great bar. Overall good but thought it was someone overrated.

OMG! Two of the worst nights ever in a hotel. The noise from Bourbon street was unbearable. The lowriders had bass playing so loud that my window shook. Not everyone comes to New Orleans to party all night. the hallways were full of drunken revelers who screamed and laughed at 4 am. Never ever coming here again.

Can keep time period but still have a sense of modern feel. Felt like I should be in the guest house at a cross between country house and 80 floral print that needs a lot of new but retrospective ofthe period they are trying to embellish The bathroom, however , was exquisitely played out. standing granite shower. Same at counter tops and sink is amazing. The tub was also a Jacuzzi tub and I sure did enjoy the sauna steam room and shower to cool off was best part of my room. The food was also something to mention. 24 hr room service with rooftop bar and pool were also to die for . Service was A+, and right in the heart of the french quarter!

Nicely renovated but retains its classic look. Very comfortable room. Conveniently located in the French Quarter but off Burbon Street so quiet.

This is probably the most charming, family owned hotels in New Orleans...perfectly located on Royal Street in the French Quarter. From the beautiful architecture outside to the charming interiors to the friendly staff, staying at The Monteleone is a true treat. The hotel restaurant, Criollo, is first rate. The Carousel Bar is one of the most fun in the area, and the hotel spa is beautifully done. The Monteleone is not inexpensive, but worth it for a pleasant and memorable stay in New Orleans.

Would not recommend, Over priced, unfriendly, No parking-Valet took 30 min to retreive car. Not at all tolerant of children, will never stay here again

This hotel is very historic and located in the heart of the French Quarter. You must have a drink at the revolving bar! Highly recommended.

Perfect location. If you don't have a car this is the place to be. There is no need to take a taxi to visit the French Quarter since you are right there. Rooms are very cleaned. Bathroom could be bigger. Overall, I would come back there.

Great hotel staff...unpacking car, the bellman accidentally smudged one of my shirts...apologies all around...dry cleaned and delivered at no charge the next day. Overnight parking is a bit steep ($35); room was small'ish,' but clean and comfortable...there were plaster "pock marks" on the wall under the window ....but hotel is beautiful, great location, great staff, nice bar!

Location was spectacular for checking out the French Quarter and riverfront. Some of the best entertainment we saw was at the hotels bar. Rooftop pool was a nice touch.

The location was right but the rooms were very small for a 4 star hotel.

I purchased 2 Deluxe Double Rooms, the rooms were very small considering what I paid for them. Hotel elevators were very slow and noisey!!!

Hotel Monteleone was great! The entire staff was helpful, expecially the VIP Concierge. The room was small but very clean. I used the spa and had a relaxing facial. We ate in the restaurant and the food was exceptional. It is around the corner from everything. I highly recommend this hotel.

This is a great hotel. Beautiful and perfect location. My only complaint is about the pillows. Beds are super comfortable but pillows sink too much. It was as though my head was on the mattress- no support. Bringing my own pillow next time will make for an excellent stay.

We had a wonderful time. All the employees were helpful and friendly. The hotel is beautifully decorated. No complaints whatsoever,

We had to wait for 45 minutes for our vehicle because they were having problems with retrieving the vehicles. Also while eating in the restaurant, the food and coffee were cold.

The location of the hotel was great. We did not drive at all during our stay. The hotel was beautiful, and the staff was helpful. The only complaint I can possibly make is that our refrigerator did not work. We called to report it, but no one ever gave us any more information concerning it or came to fix it. That was a very minor issue and would not keep me from staying here again. We highly recommend it!

The room was nice, the staff was helpful. It was a good stay. I did not feel like I got anything extra for the extra money this place cost.

The hotel location is great. It's on quiet Royal Street and within easy walking distance to all of craziness on Bourbon Street, the French Market and other French Quarter favorites. We spent some quality time at the Carousel bar watching the world go around. We ate at the restaurant, great food and service. And we also enjoyed a lazy room service breakfast. all were top notch! This is an old hotel and like everything in the French Quarter the best is made of small space. The room was beautifully decorated and clean. The bath was well furnished with niceties. I would stay again! The rates are a bit steep,you will be charged for parking and Internet. It is what it is.

Basic hotel room rule. Never accept the first room they give you! We were very happy with our second room. Great location and perfect Nola vibe :D

Nice rooms, although a bit small, like most hotels in NO. Close to great shops and restaurants. Helpful staff. I'm not crazy about paying extra for wi fi and parking charges are a bit high, but all else is good.

We had a wonderful time!! The hotel was gorgeous!!

I have stayed at this hotel twice before this time and they were wonderful as always. This time was no exception, however, since i booked a room "blind" so to speak for the "special price" at hotels.com, this particular room was very very small. One had to actually turn sideways to walk past the bed and tv armoire. The room was furnished fine and tidy and clean, I was just surprised by how small it was. I definitely will stay at Hotel Monteleone again, but I will be picking my room next time and not leaving it up to random chance.

It was all I expected it to be! Location one block from Bourbon St. is perfect. Very clean, excellent staff, and comfortable beds, although it would be nice to have a choice of pillows other than rubber.

Went on a quick 4 day trip for this year's Mardi Gras with friends. The hotel is in an excellent location and the staff was very efficient especially on such a hectic weekend. My friends and I had a great stay at the hotel, definitely recommend it to others.

I've stayed in many hotels in New Orleans over the years. This hotel ranks up there with the best, if not the best. Wonderful time ... and The Carousel Bar was a wonderful place to sit and relax after a long day of festivities!

We loved the Hotel Monteleone in the French Quarter. The staff was incredibly helpful and very pleasant. Carousel Bar was fun and lively as was the restaurant. We'll definitely come back to this hotel for fashion and fun.

They put me in a room with no window. Then they put me in a room next to the elevator with a small window looking at an alley. The hotel bar and restaurant was great, but the room was small, dark, dank, and aged. Yuck.
