Delta Ottawa City Centre - أوتاوا

Parking was terrible for a truck, I had to park across the street for $25/night Major construction going on in the lower levels of hotel, very loud. Temporary exits to street could have been marked better. Air conditioning did not work in room, i reported it to front desk but it did not get fixed. One ice machine not working. Not a good hotel to stay with kids, more business based. Without a discount on this last visit i would never stay here again. But with this being said service at the delta was excellent, and nice fitness room, best i've seen in a hotel.

No fridge in the room. Renovations on a lower floor made my floor stink like burnt metal.

Overall our experience was good! The staff was great and very friendly which was wonderful!... When we did have an issue with your room they offered to move us and tried very hard to make sure we were satisfied. The issue was a small one so we were happy to stay where we were. The outside of the building is still being renovated but it did not effect our stay in anyway! I like that it was located down town and was in walking distance to the major sights in the city.

I would definitely recommend the Delta Ottawa! The staff was very friendly and the room was gorgeous! I was no bothered one bit by the renovations. Can't wait to see the hotel again once all the renos are done!

Very noisy on this trip as construction is ongoing.

Despite the fact the hotel was undergoing major renovations on the Main Floor Lobby, the hotel staff were so upbeat, helpful and cheerful, that it made our stay so much better....we completely overlooked the reno! I can't imagine what it would be like when the reno is complete!

Apart for the renovations we had a spectacular view. the bed was comfortable, the food from room service was okay, the room was beautiful, the people were nice. Overall satisfactory stay.

The hotel is still undergoing renovations. We were disappointed that the pool was not available, though arrangements were made with another hotel. The room was nice and quiet and perfectly adequate for our needs. Didn't like the green soap, which melted in the soap dish.

The hotel is under repair. The room was great when the rest of the hotel is ready should be a great place. The kitchen is closed the weekend i was there. The pool is closed for repairs. like i said when it is fully up and running it will be a great place.

The hotel was generally pretty nice, but while we were there, there were substantial renovations going on at this hotel, which generated a lot of noise during the day.

Great staff! They were very helpful and made it their absolute priority that my stay was perfect. The hotel was gorgeous inside and at a perfect location. I will most definitely stay here again!

My wife and I chose the Delta City Center Hotel for our stay in Ottawa because it was handy to the downtown area, and the rate quoted was attractive. What we didn't know at the time of booking was that the hotel was undergoing major construction and renovation, inside and out. On check-in, we found that there was no hotel directory in our room. This is the book that contains info about the hotel, location of hotel services, telephone charges (more on this later), and most importantly, safety information such as location of fire escape routes. We called the front desk about this, and they said they'd send a bellman up right away with a copy. The bellman never showed up, and we had to make the request again the next day in person at the front desk. The book was in our room that night, but it contained no information about the hotel at all - only advertisements for nearby restaurants. Even though construction wasn't taking place within 5 floors of our room, the carpets in our corridor were filthy with drywall/cement dust throughout our stay. The only evidence of cleaning we saw was when a housekeeping person was seen mopping the lobby floor outside the elevator a couple of times. The final insult was the charge for three LOCAL phone calls, at $1.00 + tax each, when we checked out. Most hotels spell out their telephone charges in their hotel directory, a copy of which is usually to be found in each room. However, we never received one of those books, so we had no way of knowing there would be a charge for local calls. All in all, we had a very disappointing stay at the Delta Ottawa City Centre. Had we known they were under such major renovation, we would never have booked there.

We were told on the phone that there was no constraction. Howeve when we arrived there was constraction and we were woken up every morning at 7 am with the noise of drilling on the top floor. The twin beds were too small and we didnt sleep at all.

The pilows are very soft, and there is a noise in the night that you could hear it very loud, it could from the plumping system or other mechanical systems, add this to the soft pilows and it was a terrible sleep. The room is very small. The swiming pool temperature was too cold to use. The Hotel was under renovatvion and we were not told upfront. The car parking was very expensive, the hotel wanted $18/night and you could not access your car, if you want to use your car and be in and out, then they wanted more money and difficult protocol, end up parking on the street and took the risk of parking tickets. The room service lady was very friendly and she had a nice smile. Everything esle is fine.

I just need to clarify my rating - the hotel was under construction (conversion to a Delta from a Crowne Plaza) during my visit and therefore can't really be expected to be at its best. For instance, the front entrance was completely blocked off, construction began at 8:30am every day, and one of the conference floors was extremely cold the entire time. That being said, the staff were amazing, the room (pre-renovation) was still clean and nice, and they were clearly doing their best to cope with the chaos of major renovations. The location is excellent, also. I'd definitely give it another shot in a few months when the conversion is done.

5 day guest. attended conference. Major renovations going on. Disruptive & left areas of hotel very cold. Can see why they are necessary. Ladies washroom on lower level where conference held was disgusting. My hotel room was not cleaned one day, in spite of my calling front dest at 5 pm. Very pleasant staff at front desk, with room service, and in bar. Room dingy & in major need of facelift.. Limited menu. Dinner only available in bar not hotel restaurant.. Delicious Breakfast Smoothie.

The hotel was under construction; as well as construction surrounding it. They put me in a room on the other side of the hotel away from the noise which was helpful. I must admit, if I knew about the construction I would have chosen another hotel. The staff were very friendly and I had no issue with my stay.

find out in advance that the entrance address had changed due to hotel construction, that our pick up trucks would not fit in any local parking. Cigaret but found under bed in a non smoking room?????

This hotel should inform prospective guests that it is undergoing renovation. What I found more inconvenient was the unreliable internet service in my room. When I arrived, I could not log on with wireless or cable. After speaking with a tech support person, I had service by cable. However, the next morning I could not even log on by cable. When I reported my lack of satisfaction as I checked out, the people at the desk kind of shrugged their shoulders. There are other adequate hotels with similar rates in downtown Ottawa; choose one of those instead.

Changed rooms 3 times due to various problems, i.e: no water in shower or sink. Under reconstruction. Could not find where to park or even where to enter hotel. However, the staff did go out of their way to find us a room that was acceptable.

The hotel tried to keep open -- convention rooms were fine, but could have been used in connection with the Delta Hotel across the street. Gym was fine, too. But the cleaning staff for our room focused on bed, sink, pick up laundry on the floor onlly Not one day did the bug on the bathroom floor get removed; thus, the floor was not cleanned.

The hotel staff were exceptionally kind and friendly, and the hotel is conveniently located, however, the hotel room itself was small, uncomfortable, and my bed frame broke on the second night just from sitting on the end.

My daughter and I very much enjoyed our stay. It was a bit of a walk to the market area but good exercise. The weather had us taking a cab on 1 occasion. I would have liked a safe in the room and if not a mini bar, at least a small fridge. Staff were very nice and helpful too.

The only issue was the noise and the restaurant closed at night. For the rest,the satff was nice and cooperative. Regards, JP

I always found it a little inconvenient to get some water to drink in the night because they put the hot water and tea away after 9pm. And I don't really want to get some water from the bathroom. I went to the swimming pool one night. I think they could do better to the fitness center. There was no one from whom we could get some help. It took us a while to find the changing room and the shower and sauna were not working properly. After all, the staff were really nice to us and we did have a great time.

The hotel is under extensive renovations and access was a little complicated. They've done a good job of re-routing, but you come in off a 1-way side street. The rooms were old, out-dated, and our Queen room on the Club floor was very small, with essentially only room for the bed and one occasional chair. The doors of the cabinet housing the TV did not close properly, and were always swinging open, taking up even more space in the already tiny room. We were out between 10 am and 4 pm and when we arrived back, our room had not been cleaned. When we arrived back, housekeeping asked if we wanted our room cleaned, and we told them we'd be leaving for dinner shortly. It still hadn't been done when we returned later that evening. Needless to say, I was very disappointed with this stay, especially since Delta has a reputation of being a nicer hotel (and the price to go with it). While the location of this was okay, it certainly isn't in the core of historic Ottawa, and didn't have the nice amenities either.

There were renovations underway at the hotel, but this didn't really effect us as the hotel staff made us aware of how to get around the renovations. Collecting our luggage at the end of the day we were leaving was very slow as there was only one person on the checkout counter and a long line of people - I thought they should have been a bit more responsive to the length of the line and add personnel to make it more efficient. Overall the stay was good.

The room was ok.... Service was ok.... the supprise of a $300 damage deposit was a bit over the limit considering the condition of the hotel itself.

I spend 2 nights in this hotel it was October officially Fall weather the room has no heating the first night i shiver with coldness under extra sheets the second night i call front desk explain the situation she was very polite and offer to send a technician right away, a older man came up to explain the Hotel situation to me He quoted well it was 30 degree 2 days ago so we turn off the heat but i can get you extra blankets .My reply i am staying in a room by myself with 2 double beds if i needed extra blanket i would have taken them from the other bed. it was colder that night never sleep much just watch the clock for my Airport pickup. That won't happen again.

Just returned from a great trip to Ottawa and stayed at the Delta Ottawa Centre. The staff was exceptional. I have never stayed in a more friendly hotel. Even though the hotel is undergoing some major renovations, the staff made up for all of that. I would definitely stay there again. And I am sure once all the renos are complete, it will be exceptional.

We booked 5 rooms at the Delta City Centre for a family reunion. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations but all building work stopped on Friday afternoon for the weekend which was the majority of our stay. On the Monday morning, dead on 8am the drilling started! We were up early and so it didn't worry us and would probably be the same for business travellers. But if you were hoping to chill out during the week in the day you will find it very noisy. Everything was open in the hotel though and we still found our stay a very pleasant one. All of the staff were very friendly and always extremely helpful. It was only a short walk to Parliament Hill and other attractions and had the benefit of a Tim Hortons (we love it!) actually attached to the hotel! When the renovations have finished it will be better but even as it is at present we'd still highly recommend the hotel and thank the staff for helping us to have a great stay :-)

The main entrance is being completely reconstructed, which means having to use a temporary side entrance. The elevators look a little dated. Service was very friendly, and the room itself was small but serviceable.
