This was a very centrally located hotel in a nice neighborhood with lots of good food around. Also, close to the Beverly Center for shopping and movies!

Slow internet connection but otherwise excellent in every way. Extremely helpful and attentive staff and comfortable room. This is my hotel every time I visit L.A.

We spent a few days at The Orlando, and as always when you book on line you are a bit sceptical, but what a pleasant surprise. Well located, nice on site resturant. Good linen. The front desk staff were friendly and very helpful, nothing was to much of an effort. Good business centre. Would definately stay there again. well Done

Our stay at The Orlando was fantastic. My ratings are based on the price I paid per night, which was very competitive through Hotels.com. The value-per-dollar rating made for an easy 5 stars across the board. The hotel was recently renovated and our room was large, clean, chic and spacious. I didn't use the pool, but apparently it's a salt water pool which is much nicer than swimming in chlorine. If you have a car, you must valet and will pay a surcharge for parking. Figure that into your budget. The gym is okay. One universal, one bike, one elliptical, limited free weights. Not a gym for the athletically-minded traveler. I was the only one there so I was able to get a decent (albeit creative) workout in. Internet was free, but very slow. Like many hotels, they throttle the connection - so if you're trying to get serious work done or stream Netflix you're better off with 3G. Seriously. Good thing I was on vacation or I would have been irritated because I'm a computer programmer. The location was perfect! The Orlando is close to everything. A short walk will take you to dozens of restaurants. A long walk will take you to Rodeo or Melrose. A cheap cab ride will take you out on Sunset or Hollywood. Also, the restaurant located at the bottom of the hotel is delicious and turns into a bit of a hot spot after hours...if you're into that kind of thing. All in all, highly recommended!

I stayed here for 5 nights while my friends were down the road at The Farmer's Daughter. I was weary of the neighborhood but the front desk staff assured me I would be safe walking to my friends' hotel & I definitely was. 3rd street is lined w/lots of restaurants so the street was often filled w/valets which made me feel safe even when walking at night. I'm from Chicago but I know that there's shady neighborhoods in other cities just like we have here but this was not a shady neighborhood! When I checked in, the front desk staff was extremely friendly. I made my way up to my 2nd floor room & it was huge (I later found out it was a handicap room). The bathroom was beautiful- I loved the magnifying mirror & toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, bath foam, shower cap, shoe shine cloth, & a pack containing a nail file, q-tips, hairband, & cotton squares). There were plenty of towels & a hair dryer as well. The window in my room had a view of the stairway leading up to the pool (next time I'll request a room w/a balcony or outdoor seating area). The room consisted of a comfy queen sized bed w/4 pillows, 2 end tables, alarm clock w/an ipod dock, desk, large armoire w/hangers, underbed drawers, sofa, coffee tables, HUGE tv, mini fridge w/fully stocked honor bar, & a coffee maker (complimentary YUMMY teas & coffee). Obviously, I was impressed. I checked in on a Wednesday night & there was some noise outside my room in the hall or another room which I think was coming from meeting rooms on the same floor. I'm not one to complain but I felt it was late & wanted to get some sleep so I considered calling the front desk, until I realized it was only 9:45pm (I was still on CST time so it was 11:45pm for me!). Every morning there was a newspaper hanging on my door & most nights there was a card w/the next day's forecast & 2 chocolates on my pillow- a perk many hotels have forgotten about but not The Orlando. Great location and the hotel is contemporary and clean. The value for price was fantastic! The parking is too pricie so the savings on the hotel is spent on parking! Location is great and plenty of restaurants and bars to in walking distance! 1-block away from the Beverly Center!

When we arrived we were greated by an Incredibly Friendly staff. This was the first time I have ever stayed in this hotel and was upgraded to a suite. Once we got to our room a staff member called to make sure our room was up to our standard. A level of customer service not offered anymore. The rooms were very clean and the hotel in general looks as if it was very recently remodeled. The surrounding neighborhood is flooded with great shops and restaurants. The hotel is centrally located between all the hot spots like the Chinese Theater and Beverly Hills (a long walk but short cab ride). Overall I would highly recommend the Orlando to anyone traveling to LA.

My stay at the Orlando was excellent. The hotel staff were all so very helpful and kind. The only problem i encountered was having the front desk check me in for my airline the day before my return home. I failed to tell them we had only 1 bag for two travelers so when i got to the airport they informed me i had paid for two bags to be checked in and they do not give refunds. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

I loved the Orlando - from check-in to check-out the staff went out of their way to be helpful and courteous. The location is amazing. Just off of 3rd st. in W. Hollywood - a very short walking distance to wonderful shops and restaurants (including Joan's on 3rd for great food & baked goods AND Kings Road Cafe for the best cup of coffee I have EVER had) My room was large and had every amenity I needed or wanted. The even directed me to the newly-opened onsite bar where I got a delicious glass of wine to take to my room. The only thing I didn't love was the valet entrance is very small and confusing, and the overnight parking fee is pretty expensive. I ended up parking for free a couple of blocks away since I was walking everywhere anyway.

Overall I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The room itself and atmosphere was good. I enjoyed all the decor and everything seemed to be very nice. The bed was pretty comfy but not great. The bathroom was nicely done but had a small mirror. Not much of a view but that's ok. When I stayed at this hotel I was put in a room near where they were doing some construction so it was pretty loud and annoying for a short amount of the time I stayed there. For what I payed to stay there I was pretty happy, but was very disappointed in how expensive the parking was for one night. There really wasnt any way to get around it because there isnt any street parking. The valet is very slow at getting your car but the rest of the staff is very friendly and helpful. I would stay there again.

Construction starting at 6:30am! Bar party..hall disturbance way past midnight! Room smelled bad.

I recently stayed here and upon check in my room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. I asked to be moved and it only got worse. Another guest was smoking herbal cigarettes and the smoke traveled into my room. I called the front desk and noone seemed to care.

We checked in quite late at night. The staff was welcoming, the room was comfortable and we had a wonderful visit. It is a little touch of Europe in the middle of LA. Our room was beautifully appointed,The bed and linens were excellent as well as towels and bathrobes that were soft and comfortable to use. We ignored the scale in the room but not the proximity of Joans on Third for breakfast or lunch. We will definitely stay at the Or;land when we return to LA.

Was all over happy with the hotel. Till after my check out. Paid for extra charges like valet room service ect. Have not even left the parking lot and hotel put a charge on my credit card for a smoking fee. It was a $200 fee for something I did not do or okay the charge. For those reason I will not return.

The hotel has a very convenient location near The Beverly Center and The Grove shopping.Good restaurants were very close too. The hotel was nice but several area were being remodeled so they were torn up a bit. Elevators were a little shabby. The room was just remodeled and very clean and modern. The bed was comfortable and towels were very nice. The gym was torn up but still open . The pool was nice, saltwater I understand. The staff was very nice. I got a good rate at the last minute so I was happy.

I've stayed at this hotel a couple times now because it has a great location. The rooms I have stayed in have been very nice and always very clean. Overall I think the staff is great but the one thing I think they need to improve on is the Valet. The valet guys are extremely lazy and take forever. When I gave them my ticket they always walked to get my car even when I was in a hurry. When I came in back at night they weren't even outside to take my car. Oh and by the way, parking rate per night was outrageous.

The quality of the hotel was only surpassed by the amazing service from the staff.

The time I was there I constantly heard the people above me and on the sides of me the walls must be thinner then other hotels cause I never hear people in other rooms in other hotels but this was the only complaint

Hotel was in renovation, so the fiasco is at your arrival because is not told in website. Hallways are very dark, like a very depressing vibe, parking really inconvenient and valet gets too crowded in such a small space. Room service was so ayayay! really poor... not wheat bread available, or splenda sugar, or a decent water thermo to keep your water hot. Towels were old and raugh :(

We loved staying here...everything was comparable to a much more expensive place. Recent remodeling was extremely well done. The rooms are not large, but they are comfortable, very well appointed, and do not feel cramped. The bed and bathroom were very luxurious, and breakfast was excellent. Decor is modern, with a European flair. The staff were helpful, unobtrusive, and kind. Our room was even quiet. Strongly recommended.

The staff were really friendly and very very helpful. They made our one week stay a pleasure. One hint try and get a room with a balcony overlooking third street. They are the best.

the hotel looks normal from outside and inside the loppy but....i give the service 100% , clean 100% and the room was soo adorable! you will love it guys!

I stayed at the Orlando Hotel during the month of June and they were under renovation. There was a horrible musty smell on the floor and in my room(believe it was due to the renovations being done down the hall). I also requested at the front desk a wake up call for the morning I was flying out and they forgot to write it down and never called - luckily I had a backup alarm set. Overall, i was not impressed with the quality of the hotel (as it is now) or with staff and would not recommend.

We had an excellent stay. The hotel is going through renovations and the new rooms are even nicer than the old ones. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. The location is excellent. There are many nice restaurants and cafes within walking distance. We were in Los Angeles for treatment at Cedars-Sinai and it was great to be within walking distance. It is also a short drive to the Grove and many other retaurants and night spots. We would highly recommend the Orlando Hotel and its staff.

I will stay at this hotel each time I visit LA. Very clean and the the service was fabulous.

I've returned to this pleasant hotel several times because of its location close to the home of family members. But I'd come back here anyway, because it is clean, unpretentious, comfortable and reasonably priced, and the staff is helpful and pleasant. (My only reservation is that I wish rooms had more drawer space, more conveniently placed.) When the adjoining restaurant is open for breakfast, things get even better. The bowl of green apples that is always in the lobby is a nice added homey touch.

This was a cute boutique hotel in an ultra-convenient area for our needs. The rooms and building itself could use a face-lift, but the amenities and decor make up for it, especially considering the price. It's a great little place if you're mostly out and about and just need a clean, friendly place to sleep. It doesn't pretend to be something it's not and we'd definitely stay there again if we're in the area. The only downsides were the lack of cell reception in our room and the expensive parking.

This is an excellent Boutique hotel. The rooms are well appointed, and the staff is very friendly and attentive. The location for our needs could not be better. This is not our first stay and we will continue to return here, as we come to LA 5 to 6 time a year.

The Orlando is a beautiful hotel conveniently located near all the Los Angeles hot spots and night life in West Hollywood. The service was beyond amazing. All the staff members went above and beyond to make our visit more wonderful. It is comfortable, clean and cozy if you want a romantic get away. The Orlando is near some of the best places to dine and shop-just walking distance away. We were treated like celebrities and we definitely give The Orlando hotel five stars.
