Close to The Strip (if you have a car), very friendly and helpful staff, a real 70s Vegas feel (especially the hallways), comfortable bed, free wifi in lobby and the room even had it's own iron and safe (unusual for a budget hotel). I stayed for 2 nights and would definitely recommend!!

The bed was great. The TV had limited cable, but It's Vegas you don't want to spend too much time watching TV. The bathroom and shower were spacious , and the shower had great water pressure. I would recommend getting the shuttle it's a lot cheaper then a taxi, and you'll want to use it to get to the strip.

My stay at the howard johnson was nice till i woke up the next day the front desk called to let me know that it was time for me to leave and that i had stayed a few hours past check out time so i get up to get ready to leave then i realized i lost my 100$ jawbone blu tooth while i was looking for the manager came to the room yelling at me tellin me to leave i told him that im lookin for my blu tooth and how much it cost and that i need to find it he continued to yell at me threatening to call the police i told i wasnt leavin till i find it the manager called metro police and i was escorted off property bye bye 100$ blu tooth on the way home i notice my nosed was really sore when i got to a mirror to look i had been bitten across the nose by i dont know wut that inturn made not wanna ever go back there again

If you are in town for only one night and you do not want to pay that much, then this is the hotel for you.

It was good ... on the seedier end of the strip though. But no massive complaints.

Limited but safe parking lots (fenced). No elevator to the second floor. Small room.

As a last minute change of plans and adding an extra day to my stay in Vegas, this was a reasonably priced room on a weekend. The atmosphere was very quiet and peaceful and was not a whole lot of hustle and bustle on the street. The room itself was very clean and quiet. The air conditioner worked great and you didnt need to use it if you didnt want because they had a ceiling fan. They also had free Wi-Fi, Nice and clean swimming pool with a jaqcuzzi. I do recommend this place. My only grip about my room was a musty smell in the air but it goes away after you vent the air.

Not on the strip but half way between freemont and the strip, and on one of the deuce's stops. Clean sheets & towels. And thw white chapel next door if you need it.

Basic motel attached to a wedding chapel in the older part of town. (north, north Strip) - near all of the other wedding chapels. Front desk service was quick and okay, but I found it odd that they didn't bother to ask for I.D. to confirm I was who I said I was. Pet pieve, when I arrived the front desk clerk had a plate of food on the counter and stopped eating to help me and didn't bother to wash his hands or use a sanitizer and I felt like I was interupting his break. Wireless Internet was accessible in the room, but I had to call the front desk for the access code as there was no information in the room about how to connect. Looks like they had done some refresh of the property within the last few months, but there were some wall repairs in the bathroom (428) that were not "finished". Power outlets and power strips were a bit inconveniet and an old cable TV wire was just hanging out of the wall with the new wire oddly routed through the closet and out the sliding door to the TV. The air conditioneer was right next to the bed and loud and I eventually just wanted to open the vent and use the fan to have a comfortable temp ... but that hard to find on the A/C unit. Overall it's an 'okay' hotel and 'okay' for the price but the property could use a little simple attention to detail. My needs in Vegas are usually simple as I am usually threre for a technology convention and I am away from the room all day and once the vendor takes us to dinner, I just need a clean room, a nice enough bed and a shower ... and this Howard Johnson filled the bill well enough.

Friendly, hotel in crazy Vegas. The staff is very friendly. Internet is available in the lobby but not in the rooms!

The stay was great. What we enjoyed is the quiet roomy spacious bedrrom, and the confort of the beds. Their was less activity which made the stay even better for a couple who enjoys peace and quiet alonetime. When we heard of the room and then first look were disatisfied, but after one night there the stay we did not want to end. We weretold that we would have a microwave, iron and cable. One call to the hotel lobby and they equiped us with all the necessities possible to make our stay as comfortable aspossible. Another thing we relized is the spacious balcony with table and chairs in which we took full advantage of. We appreciated the welcome to Las Vegas Howard Johnsons and maybe one day will be able to take up the offer of your marriage facility. Thanks yours sincerly G and R

Any problems I had with the room was quickley resolved. I will be more than happy to stay there again and recommend this hotel to family/friends.

I used hotels.com and the service i received from them was awesome. I made a reservation and then had to make a cancellation. when calling back to get my reservation back the hotel that i was going to stay in was almost doubled in price. i had no other option than to stay at the howard johnson in las vegas on the strip. this is one of the worst hotels i've ever stayed in. the front desk staff was good but the quality of the hotel was very poor. the AC (while 102 degrees outside) would stay on for only 10 minutes at a time and i found myself either having to deal with the heat or constantly getting up every few minutes to turn the ac back on. half of the lighting fixtures were hanging off the wall and didn't work. i had no other option than to stay in the hotel because my 16 yr old son was a part of a national tournament and his entire team was there. my last night there became so unbareable that i checked out and literally slept in the lobby of my sons hotel (stratosphere). this was not only embarrassing but a huge inconvenience. I do not recommend the Howard Johnson to anyone. I will definately use hotels.com again. Thank you.

This hotel was by far the cheapest deal I could find for a last minute stay in Vegas. It is right next to the little white chapel and strip bars, which is not the best neighborhood. At night I found a random drunk girl sleeping in the hall way. The walls are very thin got waken up at 5 am by people coming back from partying and got waken up again later on by little kids playing in the hallway. Every step the person above me took vibrated down and was difficult to ignore. But the biggest issue I had with them was the level of their maintenance. First of all, My bathroom light did not work. Took an hour and 3 calls to the front desk to have someone come and look at it. Once they did the people who came were extremely polite and apologized for the inconvenience, which I appreciated. They gave me a light bulb on a cord with a clip and told me to use this contraption as lighting instead... I honestly think that it was a fire hazard. It took them half a day to fix it, and once it was fixed the light stopped working again after 1 day. To top it all off the shower curtains smelled like old wet rags. Secondly, the safe in my room was broken. I asked the front desk to fix it but they told me that they can not. Instead I could leave my valuable at the front desk. I did not feel comfortable doing that. Thirdly, I asked for a non smoking room, and got a smelly smoking room. Asked for one queen and got two fulls instead. But I got to admit for the price you pay for this is what you get. I would not stay here again, but it was very cheap for a last minute deal.

doesnt offer breakfast you have to pay for it and the shower was plugged up i notified the front desk nothing was done about it. dont recommend it its like staying at the worst hotel motel ever. we are not satified they need to change their name to a different name not howard johnson please do not stay here try to stay at any other hotel preferably one of the better known casinos not this one this is a terrible place to stay at

Water in the bathroom leaked to outside.

The water only had two tempetures burning hot and freezing cold. You could feel every spring in the mattress. The check in time was at 3pm and check out was at 12 noon so it wasn't even 24hrs. Also the front desk blows I was standing there for 10 until the guy finally got off the computer to help me.

I arrived in Las Vegas very late at night, and was checked in immediately. The place is at the far end of the strip, noisy bar, but asked for a quiet room, and was given one at the back. Comfortable and convenient to the highway.

Enough said.

It was ok. I thought there would be more things in room like a small refrigerator. The service was good and everyone was polite.

I will say that for the price it was not bad but I know why the price is low.

room was very smelly. balcony littered with cigarette butts, eventually cleaned. shower did not work.walls like paper,could here everything going on next door. cheap but not cheerful

They gave me a room key that they *knew* was busted. When I came down 10 minutes later because they have the worlds slowest elevator, they were all "we thought you might have problems with that key". Plus there is no sound proofing and I heard street traffic all night. couldn sleep.

Horrible, filthy, rude employees.... We could not even get a cab to take us back to the hotel after dinner! We had to bribe one with a $20 dollar tip. It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in!

This hotel is on Strip .....the most famous stree in Las Vegas. Its proximity to Stip and low rate makes a decent choice if you don't want to spend much and stay close to Strip street (walking distance)

Worth the money.

Room was what I expected it to be, everything worked great, room was cleaned everyday, everything was fresh, heater worked (it's cold here right now) and the location is prime. Right in-between downtown and the center strip. Didn't do much else but just sleep there, which is all I needed the room for. Good value, recommended if all you need to do is sleep and shower when you go to Vegas....I mean, come on, nobody spends their time in the room in Vegas right?

It just wasn't very nice. It was just "okay". By the pool they had an old piece of furniture. But the people were very nice and helpful. The restaurant was great.

DOESNT LOOK ANYTHING LIKE THE PHOTOS ADVERTISED ONLINE. NOT ENOUGH LIGHT IN THE ROOM. PATIO DOOR COULD NOT BE OPENED (PURPOSELESS). ROOM SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE.

I would have been better for me to sleep on one of those Ashtrays ourside/inside the casinos than "" Sleeping"" in that room.. HORRIBLE SERVICE from the minute I walked into that lobby. They made a mistake checking someone else in thinking it was myself and made me feel like a con or a person who was taking advantage of them. Will never ever rent any rooms in that same company.

The room was good for the price and the front desk staff was friendly. They allowed us to check-in 1 hr early which saved time

this hotels dont has profesional desk workers and cleanlinness is very poor quality.

I've stayed at other 2 star hotels that were a world of difference from this 2 star hotel. The room was AC was shut completely off and did not cool down for hours. The room was bit run down and dirty. The wireless was very slow. This room is ok if you are passing through town and need an inexpensive place to sleep but I wouldn't plan on being there very long. A car is also needed since walking around the area may not be the safest.

The worst place to stay ... Housekeeping were loud and inconsiderate. During cleaning in the morning, housekeeper were always slamming the door, laughing and talking in the hallways. I stayed on the first floor and could not sleep due to the fact also the people above me were too loud. Management did nothing to solve these problems. I definitely do not recommend this a vacation "stay" anywhere at Las Vegas.

I would stay away from this place. Horrible service. Small rooms. We had a broken toilet that didn't flush. No electrical outlets. There were cigarette butts on the floor in our room! It was awful. I was embarrassed to be there with my girlfriend. We laughed later about the experience but would not want to go through that again. Please save yourself the same experience. The management/owner there is useless and conniving.
