TV did not have all the channels that were on the hotel info guide. Room smelled like someone was smoking in it before. Staff was quite friendly. Long walk to some rooms if you do not have a car.

The room was very nice, well appointed and clean. The location was good for the event we attended but I wasn't sure if walking around after dark was safe. The only disappointment was that the pool wasn't open yet when the weather was in the mid-80s.

I picked the Red Lion when looking online due to that I've been a member with them since 2009. They are very nice hotel and the staff is always very helpful. Not all areas I travel in have Red Lion hotels but when they do I stay there. I've not stayed at this particular Red Lion before but I will be coming back. The area is nice, room is completely clean and the service is excellent. Makes you feel like you are at home even though your not.

My husband and I spent two nights at the Red Lion in Medford to attend a wedding. We didn't spend much time in the room, and just needed a convenient, safe, clean hotel. We were given a room with 1 queen bed in the rear building, next to the river and I-5. We could hear the highway noise inside the room, and it was unpleasant. The front building is surrounded by an asphalt parking lot. There are no restaurants to walk to near the hotel; it's in an ugly commercial area of "downtown Medford." The bathroom was very clean, and the dated furnishings of the room appeared to be clean. However, after walking around on the carpet barefoot, our feet were brown with dirt. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The room had a small refrigerator and microwave, which was nice. The continental breakfast was in the main building, not connected to the two buildings with the guest rooms. The breakfast was horrendous. How difficult is it to make decent coffee and put out muffins that aren't wet and slimy, and clean the tables with a cleaning product? This is likely the only time we will ever visit Medford, so I suppose the hotel served our purpose and was a fair value for the money.

Very dissatisfied! I wish I would have paid the extra $10.00 for a name brand hotel rather than trusting the Hotels.com "3.8" rating -- very smelly room like there was a dead body or mold in the near past they tried to "clean up" without spending the money to truly professionally clean it. Climate control did not work - could not get it warm nor cool. TV totally little and outdated. This experience was not good and will not be repeated by my family.

The staff at the hotel were not impolite, but they weren't actually helpful or useful either. The site itself made it appear as if breakfast was included in the room (something that I look for in a hotel) When I arrived I discoverd that it was an additional fee. The clerk who checked my in was friendly and helpful but the man who was there when I checked out seemed to treat me like a distraction. The breakfast hosts were no where to be seen when I first arrived and only showed up with my bill. It will not be my first choice when I travel back to that area--which I'm scheduled to do several times this year.

The Red Lion in Medford is always clean and comfortable. If sleep is important to you the room was quiet and the bed superb! It felt like it had a high end home mattress and I woke up feeling fantastic in the morning. The only thing this hotel lacks is a restaurant (there isn't even one near by) so any evening snack cravings you might get won't be satisfied on site.

Hotel room was musty, low grade hotel buffet was not included with the room (first time I've ever encountered that) and wireless was essentially non-functioning unless you get a bridge box from the desk. Unlikely I will every stay there again.

The room was decently clean. But lacked space and comfort. I would recommend spending the extra 20 bucks and staying at a Marriott or best western. The balcony was nice but only came with one chair and no table. Also the safe doesn't have a key so limits the closet space. Just not a good stay for me

My stay is always wonderful ... but this time I used their free Wi-Fi and my email on my Kindle was hacked in to. I tried to notify the hotel to their direct phone number - NO ANSWER! I notified the Red LIon 800 number and was basically told "oh well" but "sorry". Would I stay there again? Yes, of course, but I won't use the WiFi.

Older hotel that needs some upgrades and the rooms are quite small. My room was on Interstate freeway side of hotel so there was noise from traffic. There was a music festival in Medford and the hotel was one of the venues so it was hard to find parking. This is a good place to stay if you would like to be able to walk around Downtown Medford and don't need a place above average.

Our electrical outlets were all basically broken, phone chargers just fell out of them so it was a real challenge to charge our electronics for the night. Otherwise the room was all fine.

The hotel was very clean but a little tired. The restaurant had great food and it was so convenient to have it available on site. The staff was exceptionally courteous and attentive.

Staff was great and room was super nice. We will stay here again when we are back in town. A+++++

Never stayed at a a red lion before but would again,very friendly staff

The hotel, was clean and comfortable. My balcony overlooked the creek which was very peaceful, across the creek was a park like area with a walking/biking path. The staff went out of their way to be polite and helpful. There were issues with the wifi while during my stay so was unable to get online. Altogether a very pleasant stay. I will stay again if I return to the area.

Would stay again and recomend this hotel. The bar/restaurant was the best food on our trip.

The hotel was great, but the location was awful, especially with all the construction cutting off access. :(

The Red Lion was one of our favorites back in the 80s and 90s unfortunately this property was pretty old. Nice people but the property needs an up grade. The king size bed was a little on the soft side not firm as we like. The TV was old not the new style.

The hotel needed some updates. Balcony on Bear Creek was not clean and the view was a freeway with a messy creek bed and area before it. A good hiding place for someone wanting to break in. This hotel needs to do some major renovation. It did not feel as clean as I might expect, and overall, a 3 out of 5.

comfy room, nice pool area, quiet night time, excellent staff.

Our room was clean and had been updated, but the hotel was hard to access (partly due to construction) and the exterior needs work. Pool had a lot of dirt at the bottom. Was also advertised as "pet friendly," but I'd say more like "pet barely accepting." We were charged a steep fee and our dog wasn't allowed by the pool, where we spent most of our time, even on a leash. When I mentioned our dog, the desk clerk seemed put out by having to add the fee. Also close to a park with a homeless community. Rate seemed high for what we got.

Very friendly and courteous staff. Nice band in the lounge.

Great value for the dollar, will stay there anytime we visi Medford. Also good value on the breakfast buffet at only $5.00

Bathroom sparkling clean, separate sink area just as clean, Comfy bed with lots of pillows! Nice clean fresh linen. TV cabinet and refrige cabinet had a kot of wear. Large facility with several groupings of rooms. 2 stories with stairs. Facility has a fitness room, not near the front desk but it you are into fitness you would not mind walking to it. Well keep grounds. Hotel location was odd to us, in the older part of town with several one way streets. We would stay here again.

The Hotel needs to be updated some the rooms we had was dark and needed to have some updates, but I would stay again. AlsoRose the food at the bar was the best!!! Staff was very freindly....

Awful. The shower drain was clogged and filthy. No light bulb in the desk lamp. The TV wand didn't work, had to change channels & volume by hand (not necessarily a bad thing, except we were so tired.) And the pillows were hard! We think of Red Lion as a solid reliable and special chain of motesl in the Northwest , so we are saddened and bewildered.

Nice stay but as a member of Red Loin Rewards I was not treated like a rewards member, I was shocked but it still was a good stay.

When I'm in Medford, I stay here rather than pricier hotels that offer no better accommodations. The Red Lion is an older, well maintained property. The decor is classy and comforatable. It's location is central to most of Medford's important places. The Red Lion's parking is closer to the library and college than paid parking would have been. I've attended several workshops and conferences at the Red Lion, and the food is always plentiful and tasty. Although the restaurant is closed for dinner ,the lounge has a full menu, and breakfast is very inexpensive.
