Red Lion Hotel Pendleton - بندلتون

The staff was friendly and accommodating, the premises were clean although somewhat dated. The beds were not particularly comfortable, but they did the trick for a brief overnight stay after a day of driving. The only problem we ran into was the supernatural experience we had during the night. We left the light in the bathroom on for our daughter because our nightlight that we usually use had burned out. Shortly after getting in bed, my wife and I both observed the shadow of a man pass against the wall, as if someone had just walked in front of the bathroom... which was impossible since all of us were in bed and no one could have walked in front of the bathroom. After telling ourselves we hadn't really seen what we definitely did see, we attempted to sleep. While we slept, the covers of the bed were pulled off of us, and we had the sensation of someone standing near the bed and talking to our daughter, because she was clearly reacting and talking to someone we could not see. After we left the next morning, we read that the ghost of an employee who committed suicide is said to haunt the hotel. That must be who we ran into. He didn't seem aggressive or angry at all, just playful. So as long as you don't mind the chance of encountering a playful ghost in your room and having the covers pulled off of you in the middle of the night, then go ahead and stay here.

Great hotel for a great price. I always like when there is a vanity outside of the bathroom, so two can get ready in the morning. Very clean & comfortable.

You should have an area for employee smokers somewhere else besides just outside the front entrance.

wall paper in bathroom missing. Needed my chiropractor after sleeping in this bed and I do a lot of traveling

Excellent place to stay

We were on our way home from a cruise and missed the turndown service and chocolates on the bed but we were not expecting that service. Room was very comfortable, the linens very nice and the bad very comfortable. I would definately stay here again.

This is an excellent hotel. The rooms were excellent. Very roomy with a nice balcony. The bar and dining area is great with a beautiful view. The staff is friendly and willing to answer all questions. The view is fantastic. I cannot say enough nice things about this Hotel. If we are every in Pendleton again, we will definitely be staying here again.

Room was not ready, but they found one. None of this would have been an issue. Front desk person, might have actually been the manager, had an attitude that made my decision easy for the future. Staying there is not an option the next time.

My son and I stayed one night. Good beer, straight pool sticks and nice view. Good bonding experience. I thank your employees.

It was pleasant would like to see more offered as far as deals for breakfast. disappointed no free breakfast offered for price of room

This was just a convenient stop for my husband and I on our 3 week road trip. I have never stayed at a Red Lion before. The room was a bit small, but very clean. The comfort I rated as a 3 only because the airconditioning didnt work very well. This hotel did not come with breakfast, but you can purchase it for 4.99. We chose not to have breakfast there. The front desk lady was not rude, but she definately was not friendly and never smiled. We did take advantage of the bar though! :-) Which was nice to be able to have a drink (or 2) and not have to drive.

This hotel was very comfortable. The pet-friendly policy was appreciated. The staff was helpful and friendly.

I was disappointed because I had always considered Red Lion has elegant and high class. Windows into the lobby were dirty and it made the entrance look dingy. The person who greeted us acted like it was a ho-hum job. Our room seemed dark and dingy. The sheets were clean. The bathroom was clean. But the overall feeling was that it was old. We stayed mainly in Choice Privileges inns and had free breakfasts. If we had eaten at RL in Pendleton, OR, we would have had to pay. The sign on the freeway was misleading as to the location of the RL.

The rooms had a slightly mildewy smell. The windows, which were not screened needed to be opened to air the room at all times. The sheets were rough enough to take the skin off of my elbows. The foam pillows were too thick-I was glad we traveled with our own. The employees were courteous but the hotel just needs a refresh. It is dingy and the paint is chipped in many places. We were paying for two rooms and they were both the same. The location was ideal for what we were doing.

Ok for a quick stop. Nice for the online discount, but not as up to date as would be nice.

Very nice hotel. Breakfast for 4.95 was a great deal. Staff very friendly. Was only there a few hours. Would like to stay longer and visit local area.

This was the nices room with the bed clean and soft I have never slept so well in a hotel room. I would recommend this place to everyone

As I was traveling by myself and needed something in this price range and easy access this hotel did the trick, it was clean enough friendly staff and a place to eat in walking distance if you wanted.

Hotel staff was great - Place definitely needs an overall upgrade. Rooms were ok but definitely showing their age. Moldy smell in the hallways but could not smell in the rooms themselves. Did not like having to go down to the front desk to get ameneties that all other hotels offer (i.e. body lotion) they were free just inconvenient.

Older hotel still in very good conditon, but could use a renovation. The rooms are extra large by today's standards and that's why we picked it for the price. Room price does not include breakfast, but at $4.95 each, hard to beat and cheaper overall than hotels with free breakfast. Service was good and would recommend, if you have kids due to the extra large size of rooms.

We went to the hotel's restaurant right as they opened. We placed our order after about 10 minutes. Twenty minutes later we had not received our meal. We had somewhere to be across town 30 minutes later so our server said we could get our food to go. After another 10-15 minutes, we still had not received our meal and had to get up and leave without eating. We had only ordered soup and a sandwich so there is no excuse for waiting more than 40 minutes for our food. Overall the room was comfortable and clean. The tiles in the tub/shower were old and dated and need replaced. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

When I told the staff I liked my bed so much, I'd like to take it home, the Head Housekeeper, researched the brand and model, gave me her card and told me if I couldn't find what I wanted at a store, to contact a local Red Lion to see if they could order one for me. She said if the local Red Lion didn't seem helpful, I could call her and she would arrange it! That's what I call going the extra mile!

Overall my stay at the Red Lion Pendleton was adequate. However, a couple of items need to be addressed. I was located on the second floor which is really their ground floor on one side, and a very stong moldy humid smell permiated the hallway on that end of the building. Fortunately it did not make its way into the room, but was not pleasant coming and going. Also, was there during 90+ weather, and the air conditioning unit kept freezing up and had to be repeadlely turned off to thaw in order to work again. Made for uncomforable nights rest the last night.

Easily the best value of any hotels we stayed in. The facility was well kept up. The room was big and clean. The view from the dining room was spectacular.

It was a convenient location, directly off the interstate. The hotel and room itself was very average. Nothing exceptional. They could offer coffee in the rooms. The breakfast buffet was horrible. Take a pass on it.

easy to find right off the free way. friendly service. beautiful clean comfortable rooms.

I thought for an older motel it was over priced. Plus, the wireless internet didn't work until the next morning and the pillows were like rocks.

This was a good resting place between Washington State and Utah, not much to do in town although there is a casino 5 minutes away. Room was spacious and clean but the overall condition of the hotel itself is old and a little run down. security doors didn't work and the elevator was small and hard to find. Balcony looked out over fields. Nice view. I would stay here again for sure. well worth the money we spent.

This Red Lion was, in it's day, a flagship. Fantastic views overlooking fields of wheat....you can see forever. Unfortunately, like the rest of us, it has aged and is not a flagship anymore. Still a nice place to rest ones head for a night or two. Good service and close to freeway are positives that somewhat compensate for the so so quality. Some upgrading would definitely help.

I always enjoy staying here. The views of the mountains are great only wish the hot tub was open in the winter. I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet for $ 4.95 what a deal....
