Booked a room with king bed ....told no kings at check in...given 2 twin beds on a low floor and was very noisy....also walk from elevator to room was quite far....hotel is in good location....impersonal service but fairly efficient ...went to theater ( on 3rd floor of hotel ) which was convenient

What should have been a perfect stay was spoiled by inappropriate cleaning of our room which we had for four nights. Daily, until I complained to the cleaning stff manger, our room was not repared until after 5-6 PM. This interruped the opportunity we needed for an afternnon rest before anothe terrific night in NYC. It was only after I finally compllined on the 3rd late afternnoon did we receive service, which worked around us inthe room. I am disapointed that management did not contact us nor att4empt to make amends in some manner. This would not have happened nor gone without amends at our Marriott here in Marco Is. Fl. We are patrons of our Marriott and I am involved in many events as chairman and pkarticipant. Our next stay at your site is Oct. 8 for a 2 night stay already reserved. I hope it improves.

Loved the hotel location and all the services the hotel offered. We were happy hotel stayers.

This hotel is the best for location, view and comfort. We had a wonderful time and the hotel room enhanced our experience because it was so wonderful. Already making plans to return!

Very Happy. Location was excellent. Staff was very nice and helpful. The only issue was a noisy fan for the Air Conditioning.We didn't want to change rooms since our window overlooked Time Square.

It was great. The only thing I could say, not so great, was that they could use brighter lights in the bathroom. When getting ready in the morning good lighting is a must. However, it would not keep me from returning.

Very clean lobby, halls, restaurant. Super view. Very friendly staff. Some renovations going on but this did not interfere with our stay.

Excelent location and the facility and services were fantastic. My only complaint is that even being in a suite, the people in the adjacent room were very loud ane rude speaking all hours of the night. They were from ATL and made the Real Housewives seem tame.

Great Hotel. very quiet rooms. Very clean and the staff is so polite! Great location too. Would stay here again.

The Marriott Marquee is conveniently located in the heart of Times Square. Our room on the 24th floor overlooked Times Square - great view. Really enjoyed our first trip to NYC. Would definitely stay here if we get an opportunity to return.

The room was excellent and I could not ask for a better location. My complaint is that they were doing construction in the room above me and it was very disturbing to have all the noise going on at all hours.

The location is perfect for reducing walking by my family of senior citizens. We enjoyed the convenience and opportunity to walk acround Time Square, sit at a restaurant window overlooking Times Square, or simply viewing Times Square from our rooms. Our goals were to relax and see a show, but we saw three shows during our 3-day weekend and we relaxed between activities from 8am to Midnight. Room service was very slow Saturday night but they did not charge us after we waited over an hour. Staff were super friendly and personable whereever we went. Highly recommend a NYC visit that includes staying at the Marriott Marquis.

we did not have our room ready when we arrived, so we were upgraded. that's always nice! the room that was provided to us was on the 31st floor. the water pressure in the shower was horrible and the a/c unit that was a ceiling mount inside the restroom ceiling was horribly noisy. room service was great though... overall, not a bad experience.

Only issue was wireless wasn't free in the room. And the it was very slow. For the price of the room it should have been included.

This hotel is in the best spot possible. Its in Times Square and mid-town Manhattan. It is within walking distance of lots of sights and restaurants. We got in late and the check in was fast and easy. Our room had a partial view of Times Square and we really enjoyed it! There were no noise issues. On the last day, we checked our bags in with Guest Services as we were leaving on a late train and it was very convenient for us to retrieve them later in the day. Overall, we were happy with the choice and would not hesitate to stay there again.

Hotel was great, however we were told we would have a three o'clock checkin but our room wasn't ready until 6.

It was a great hotel, the service was amazing, the location was amazing. The fitness facialty was top notch. The View restaurant was amazing. We enjoyed our stay and would recomend this hotel to anyone who wishing to visit NY.

everything was very nice one complaint 18.00 per day for internet in ridiculous that might be a reason to choose other hotels its not the money its the principle

We asked for a room with king size bed for our anniversary and we ended up with 2 small full size bed , so we had to sleep in seperetly on our anniversary....

I stayed at this hotel for couple of days in Jan'12. Pros : Excellent inside decor, nice staff, clean Amazing architecture inside that you can't realize looking from outside. Spacious, many restaurants and conference rooms. Cons : Very expensive parking (eight bucks) ! Be ready for a looting operation for valet parking by this hotel and any parking garage around Time Square (sixty) for 24 hour parking. Took longer to check in. Only two agents on 12 booths in prime time. In spite paying top rate, I felt that there were several things that were ignored. Like sink pop plunger would not close. Efficient toilet system would not flush in one go. TV had only few channels and poor reception. for Internet you pay extra ! Elevators were plenty but felt like lot of waste of energy and efficiency. You can't change your exit once you are in elevator as there are *no* buttons inside to choose the floors. Security was weak. Anyone can walk in this hotel and come all the way to your room door. Street exits to various streets are not marked.

My husban and I stayed here just before Christmas for out Anniversary and it was perfect all around!!!!

The room and location were great. The only reason I did not give this a 5 was because of the view. Although we were high up, we faced the side of a building. We would have appreciated a view of the strip. Since we visit NY every year (family) we would consider staying there but it's not a definite. We can get much better for the bucks!

Marriot Marquis in New York, New York was so beautiful and elegant and comfortable. I loved it so much!!! I did not want to leave.

Me and my sister stayed there for a week, it was her first time in NY, and my 4th time, the staff were lovely, they went out there way to make sure you enjoyed your stay. The room was gorgeous, beautiful view of times square, really couldn't ask for more and will be more than happy to stay there when I go back :D 10/10 for service and stay.

Booked a room with a Time Square View. Excellent view. Housekeeping service slow, but after the first day called and asked for service when we left the room. Wonderful hotel bar for people watching and relaxing. Close to everything on Broadway. Would definitely stay at this hotel again.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we felt treated like VIPs, not the mere tourists we really were. The service throughout our stay was exceptional -- very friendly, very personable, with nice personal touches at every turn. Example: When I mentioned to Fred at the Reception Desk that this trip was a surprise birthday treat for my wife, he quickly arranged for a complimentary treat to be sent up to our room. Later, at The View bar, our server, Helene, brought us a complimentary dessert with a candle, and encouraged other patrons to sing! All operations are streamlined and efficient -- even the elevators -- a marvel of good design and efficiency. Don't miss The View -- the revolving restaurant and bar at the top of the hotel, with a chocolate fountain as the centerpiece to an amazing dessert buffet. (And hotel guests don't pay the $8 cover charge.) Tip: if you're there for a special reason, don't be shy about letting staff know; they seemed to really ENJOY being "in on it", and it makes the service even more personal and enjoyable for all concerned.

If you want to be in the heart of Times Square -- this hotel is the place. You couldn't ask for a better location! Like most high end Marriotts -- the staff is very well trained and ready to serve. They're eager to be helpful, whether this is your first or fifty-first visit to NYC. The rooms are good sized for NYC and the hotel's amenities are excellent. My one beef is that when you're paying this kind of money for a hotel room -- to be dinged $17/day for internet is ridiculous. But other than that -- a spectacular hotel in the heart of a spectacular city.

Its really convenient location, good service..

We stayed the week of New Year's Eve 2011. Our floor(26th Floor) had major construction going on with dust, saws, hammering, banging and knocking every day. I can't believe this hotel would charge premium fees for their rooms during New Year's Eve and inconvenience their guest with major construction noise daily. We checked in early around 12pm, the front desk did not make us aware that they had major construction going on in the hotel and then gave us a room on the 26th floor right next to where the construction was going on. No one told us that this hotel was under major construction when booking on-line nor when checking into the hotel.

It's strategic. Best location in Times Square. Big room & toilet and very clean. Two starbucks in the hotel premises! Would definitely stay there again.

This is a great hotel for the theatre district. It has lots of amenities - good restaurants, Starbucks, etc. However, the pillows are like rubber and I was "strongarmed" into "upgrading" to a larger room for a substantial rate increase. I didn't think there should be anything wrong with the room I reserved through Hotels.com but the clerk made it sound like I was getting a tiny room with a bad view. when I upgraded I had a view of the office building across the street and the room was the same as the ones I had before at a lower rate. Marriott should do better than using tactics like this. Also, I've had trouble with their pillows before - unlike the Hiltons and Westins which have great bedding.

Have stayed here three times now and would return again. It is in need of some renovation; carpets wrinkled up and windows need washed. Need to pick up trays/dishes outside of rooms after room service, dirty dishes in the hall all day. Perfect location in Times Square. Certainly overpriced and could not afford if we did not split it among room guests. It was very busy when we were there but the staff assist with the elevator and keep things moving. Big rooms and nice separated bathroom. Loved the view (could have appreciated it better with a clean window). Can't wait to return!!

The Marriott Marquis is located centrally in Midtown. It's near everywhere you want to go or get there. I would stay there in a heartbeat.

Excellent as always. In Times Square area well woth the slight increase in price over other hotels. SAFE in surrounding area.

We stayed on the 40th floor time square view. Amazingly large room for NY. Excellent view, Great staff, very helpful concierge with getting play tickets, directions, etc. A definate consideration for your stay.

You can't have a better location than this hotel. Was beautiful, clean and the service was great. If you really want the NYC experience...this is pricey, but well worth it!

We stayed here a week. The hotel seemed tired and dated, with cracks badly painted over in the room. Its location was great. However, the service was appalling for a hotel of it's brand and apparent calibre. Breakfast, lunch or dinner most of the waiters did not appear to want to be there and avoided eye contact when you were trying to get their attention. We did complain about the time taken at bar service in the evening (over one hour to get a snack). Nothing changed although we received an apology. Room service didn't clean until early evening even if out all day and trays with dinner dishes were not collected for almost 24 hrs from rooms (left in corridors). Sub standard. Very disappointing for the Marriott brand. I wouldn't use it again unless they had improved.

The Marriott Marquis is very conveniently located in Times Square. It is a nice, fancy hotel, but it lacks basic amenities of a 21st century hotel. Things I can expect at a Holiday Inn were missing. There is no refrigerator or even a microwave in the room. No pool. There is no free internet access (wireless or otherrwise). They want $17/day/device for internet. Of course there is no free breakfast. This is priced as a high-end hotel, but unfortunately the basics aren't there.
