Montebello Splendid Hotel - فلورنس

We had a wonderful stay there. The room was nice the bed soft and the breakfast bountiful. The staff was very friendly and lined us up with a wonderful tour of sienna and tuscany

We loved this hotel! Great location. The staff was extremely helpful. We also ate dinner our first night there. Because it was our first night, we received a 30% discount. The food was delicious. I will stay here the next time I'm in Florence.

Luxurious is the word that comes to mind when I think about our stay at the Montebello Splendid Hotel. It is a lovely, restful escape in the midst of bustling Florence. Walking to the major attractions only took about ten minutes. The service was also fantastic. Every member of the staff really went out of their way to be helpful.

While off the beaten path from central Florence sites, it's a refreshing 15 minute walk, which can be done along the Arno or thru shop lined streets. In return, you get some tranquility in a classic hotel that looks and feels traditionally Italian. Hotel was indeed 5 star! Room, service and helpfulness of front desk were all first rate. Assistance with private tours was great and hotel does not double or triple the rates of the guides and tours like normal practice at other Firenze hotels like the savoy.

Our stay (3/13-3/22) at Montebello Splendid was a five star experience. The hotel not only met but exceeded our expectations. The accommodations were excellent. The overall atmosphere was one of the best my wife and I have experienced in our international travels.

One of the best hotels in Florence! The second time we stayed there and definetly not the last one!

Great hotel within walking distance to the train station. We chose this hotel because it was close to the train station and was a good price for a 5 star hotel. We took the train from Rome to Florence and then had to meet at the train station for a day tour of Tuscany so being in close proximity was a high priority for us. The hotel was very nice and we ended up with with a very spacious room which was a very pleasant surprise after hearing about how small the hotels rooms were in Italy. We would definitely stay here again!

What a fantastic boutique hotel! Our stay was so lovely, a real treat. We rate this 5 star in every way!!!!

This hotel is nice. Staff very friendly. Rooms are bit smaller but overall very nice comfortable hotel

Great hotel, rooms are a bit small, but welcome to Europe.

Stayed here for 3 days while in Florence. Upgraded to a junior suite when we arrived which was a pleasant surprise. The room was magnificent as the lounge area and bathroom was on level 1 and the bedroom on the second level. The finishing was very nice and more than satisfied. the only downside is the hotel is not in the city centre so it is a gentle 15 minute walk along the arno to ponte vecchio. But this is not the fault of the hotel as u should know this before you book. Lovely courtyard and would definitely stay again. Great restaurants nearby which are not that pricey. Centrico poverti was very good

We were at the MS for 6 nights for sight seeing in Florence and day trips in the area. The hotel is very nice and our room was spacious enough, very clean, excellent service. The front desk staff were helpful, especially in arranging reservations so promptly. The location is a bit away from the historical center, but using the buses to get near the main attractions was very helpful. This is a walking destination & we enjoy walking, but many sites are not close together so the buses helped conserve time and energy for the actual sites & attractions. Definitely recommend this hotel--lots of nice marble, beautiful lobby and sitting areas. Room decor a bit dated, but still nice. Clean, very pleasant hotel and great breakfasts!

We LOVED this hotel- absolutely charming, beautiful, elegant, cozy, did I say charming and genuinely Italian. The hotel has a beautiful court yard, our room was awesome. Hard wood floors, plush bedding, the bathroom was huge with a shower with double massage heads! Nightly they have a very nice happy hour and the buffet breakfast was exceptional. The location is convenient- not directly in town but a easy walk and in a nice quiet part of Florence. I would definitively stay there again on my next trip. Five Stars!

The Montebello Splendid Hotel was exactly what we wanted - well located, clean, excellent service...Wish we had longer to stay there

Great little hotel gem in Florence, Italy. It's located on a one-way street, so be patient in finding it (particularly if you drive as my wife and I did). On the street parking in city center is only for residence, so parking was 30 Euros per night. The property is a little far from the center of the Florence sights, but we drove to the train station and parked there for a couple of hours, while we walked around. Two great outdoor markets nearby on Tuesdays. Staff was friendly, breakfast was a lovely buffet, and the property was overall charming.

Our stay at Montebello Splendid Florence was completely satisfied. We enjoy our stancy during all the time. It was very confortable in all aspects.

Our recent stay at the Montebello Splendid Hotel in Florence was out standing, the hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the train station and is within walking distance to everything you would care to see. The hotel is tucked into a side street and hidden behind some tall walls, but the gate to the courtyard was always open and the courtyard was very welcoming. The staff was friendly and spoke english. We were shown to our room promptly and athough not overly large by American standards, was richly appointed and very comfortable. The bathroom was marble and quite large with a whirlpool tub and Multiheaded shower. Bed was at least queen sized and has a comfort sleep system and multiple pillows to match your preference. Access to the rooms is via a Computer Access card that controls the electronic door locks, and once inside it slips into a similar slot to secure the room. All rooms have electronic controls, including alarm systems. I recommend adding the breakfast buffet, as the food was tasty, well prepared and had a good selection and not bad price since most resterants are not open before lunch. We chosed to walk everywwhere, but public transportation is available. if you are there to see the museums, i recommend getting the Firenza Pass, which gets you into 33 of the museums and access to the Busses for a period of 72 hours. each museum has a different price, but since some places have fees for each section it is well worth it. Our pass paid for itself after the second museum, and we never did get on the busses. The front desk staff is more than happy to help with reservations, trainschedules etc as well as recommendations for eating establishments outside the hotel. If we get the chance to go backe to Florence again, I would definatly stay at this hotel .

We got a tiny room with a bed on the second floor. It was claustrophobic and we demanded getting a different room. The second room was bigger but one but had a terrible shower, very old and barely worked. Even the view of the room was disappointing the concrete wall of the next door building. Far from the 5 star hotel we paid for. No value for money! Sorry.

The common areas in this hotel were stunning. I have never been in a hotel so clean and well appointed. The happy hour in the evenings was great - bartenders and waiters were great. The room was equally as clean and comfortable. The hotel was in a great location for walking to the sites.

Excellent hotel with friendly staff, nice rooms and bathrooms. Our room had a nice balcony to enjoy a quiet moment . A 10 to 15 minute walk to major attractions. I would recommend this hotel as it is well maintain and attention to detail. Buffet was very good and good spread.

We arrived over the April bank holiday and the hotel was only 10 mins from the local airport but yet was set on a quiet street. The hotel courtyard is beautiful with a fountain and Lilly flower beds, there is also a great al fresco dining area that is also lovely for drinks. The staff all spoke English fluently and were very friendly and welcoming and the hotel in always immaculate inside. Expect to see marble floors with very tasteful furnishings throughout. The bar is very well stocked with all of your favourite brands of spirits. The rooms have high cielings and are always made up everyone you leave the hotel, They are very comfortable and have blinds which can be closed over the outer windows with a button next to the bed which are total blackout meaning your room is totally dark ensuring you sleep reallly well. The hotel is situated only 10/15 mins walk from all the major sites of Firenze and there are many restaurants and bars on route. Though we ate breakfast out each morning to try various places, don't be neccasssariky put of by the €20 a head for the breakfast as to find a similar offer in the town will come to a similar amount. I cannot recommend this hotel enough and would happily stay there again.

We liked this hotel overall and would stay here again. The staff was pleasant and the free breakfast buffet was a nice touch. However, the restaurant downstairs was a different story. It may have been a case of poor service, but it has left a negative impression none the less. It felt less like ordering a meal and more like buying a used car. Never have I felt pressured into ordering more food then I could possibly eat. I guess an appetizer, salad, pasta,dessert, and a bottle of Chianti wasn't enough for the server, but it was more then enough for me. (BTW The food was just ok) The rest of the stay was great I hope this helps

Wonderful hotel, close to the train station and walkable to all the sights at the heart of the city and great shopping. Charming and responsive staff. Montebello is a bigger street than Via Garibaldi, and the hotel is on the corner where they meet.

Fan did not work in room. Staff was acceptable but not engaged in work where they made you feel welcome.

The Montebello Splendid Hotel is a jewel in a wonderful city. First this is a model hotel with a very capable and knowledgeable staff that works very hard at creating a wonderful experience both within the hotel and the city of Florence. They proposed a most enjoyable way to see in and around Florence to where all the sites were covered. The service in the hotel is most professional with the food being excellant.

The rooms were beautifully decorated, comfortable and very soundproof. Excellent staff with friendly, professional service. We loved the courtyard and landscaping - we ate breakfast every day at the outdoor tables. The buffet breakfast was good with excellent service. The location is about a 20 minute walk from the center of the city but was not a problem. The hotel staff recommended wonderful restaurants that were no more than a 10 minute walk.

We were treated very well. They hotel grounds are well maintained and secure. The staff was very accommodating. The breakfast we relaxing and the food was fabulous.

Beautiful hotel. Rooms are lovely. Recently redocrated and very high tech. The hotel is outside the center of action of the city. That can be good or bad depending on your preference. You can easily walk to the center of the city or take a cab.

Abolutely a great place to stay in Florence. Make sure you get the buffet breakfast included in your reservations. There is enough food to carry you through lunch. The room was fabulous and extremely well appointed. Very quiet location and the rooms were well insulated from the noise. We would stay there again the next time we are in Florence. One more bennie, it was a 10 minute walk to the train station. Two limitations...good restaurants were a significant walk away and taxis are expensive. Make sure you know how to use the hotel phone system so you don't get charged during calling card calls.

Very nice hotel. Good impression right when you enter the lobby because it is nicely decorated. This hotel is very close to everything you want to visit in Florence. Internet access on the TV is very convenient. There are nice restaurants within 5 min walk recommended by the hotel

This hotel was very comfortable. Although the location was not as close to the city center as I would have liked it to be, it was still quite convenient and the rates appropriately reflected the location. The surrounding area was ok, but there were not a lot of local restaurants. Our room was quite nice although the bathroom was up a short flight of stairs. All in all, though, a very pleasant place to stay with a very helpful staff.

The hotel was beautiful and our room was quite comfortable. It was incredibly quiet, and at times we felt as if we were the only ones staying there. We felt that service could have been quicker and more attentive, but have no real complaints. While the hotel is convenient to the train station, it is about a 15 minute walk from the main sights of Florence.
