Imperial Hotel - كوبنهاجن

Stayed at Imperial hotel for 3 nights during a weekend getaway with my girlfriend and we were very pleased with almost every aspect of the hotel. We only found 3 things that bothered us during the entire stay (no Wifi in the room (there was a TP cable, but who brings a laptop during a vacation anymore?), breakfast was way too expensive and the glasses and cups were not properly cleaned when we arrived). The hotel staff quickly sorted out the issue with the cups and apologized. Very polite and helped us with all sorts of questions regarding the city. Our room was very well cleaned and the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom nice, fresh and clean. Everything felt very modern. We were very happy with our stay.

Good location. Close to transport. Very clean rooms.

Even though the hotel was ok by any other standards, I would not go again as there is only fixed line internet in the rooms. That is so 1990's, in a hotel of this level wireless is a must.

We had a lovely stay. The lack of cleaning of the room was disappointing, but the location is brilliant. It could be wise to request a quiet room as we had - as the hotel is surrounded by traffic - both roads and railway..

The hotel is within walking distance from main attractions. The breakfast was a typical European breakfast and the best part was the hotel happy hour.

Nice room, helpful staff

It’s a hotel surely from 70’s, and still stays the same. Old fashioned, poor service, rude front desk staff… terrible but very expensive breakfast. But this is Copenhagen. Better be prepared.

the madrass was just bad....the personnel in reception too few..... the rooms were oddly equipped where the switches for the lamps were not easily accessible. The way curtains had to be closed in the room was also very strange. In all, you had to use a lot of time to turn on/off these things

The room was smelling smoke ( cigarrets). Receptionists were not very friendly. Great location.

The hotel was fine. It's a typical hotel that's a bit outdated, but there were no problems staying there. It is worth mentioning that air conditioning is available in your room. This is not necessarily a common feature in Denmark, as it isn't needed very often, but if you're going in a heat wave (hah), stay here.

Very very solid hotel. Location just cant be beat - right in the middle of everything that is Copenhagen! Nice bar downstairs - breakfast was fair to good, room service solid. Room was, for European standards, roomy. Free internet connection was a plus!

Close to the train station and central city. Very helpful staff on all occasions. Only had 6 bikes to rent,so sometimes not available.

The first room we got smell smoke, although i specifically asked if it was a non-smoking room (per my reservation online) when I was checking in. Also, the air conditioning wasn't working, so I asked to be moved. I then realised the 6th floor is ALL SMOKE FREE, because they have a small little balcony which allows anybody to smoke outside, but because the room is all covered in carpet, it did smell of smoke and was really bad. So we moved to 5th floor and although there was no smell of smoke, it had a rather musty smell. The AC wasn't working either, so because this was the least horrible option we stayed 3 days in this room. Keep in mind the hotel is across the street from a very busy train station, so leaving the windows open during the night to cool down the room wasn't an option, unless you are one of those heavy sleepers who won't wake up even by an earthquake. The only good think about this hotel is the location, which is a 5-minutes walk from Tivoli, with 30+ restaurant options. Other than that, pretty bad experience.

Based on other reviews this hotel was better than I expected. I do agree with others that getting a view towards the back of the hotel is a bummer and the shower glass wall thing is rediculous. The bathroom is flooded everywhere after a shower. If only the glass was a foot longer and moved inward a centimeter there would probably be 25% of the water on the floor. It doesn't help that the holes on the showerhead spray in wild directions. Lastly it is true that the room is smallish and has very little for storage but so far it seems all hotels in Denmark are this way. At least this one has good air conditioning.

The hotel was OK. We chose it because it was close to Tivoli and the Glytotech. On the day we were there, there were no performances at Tivoli until night and the painting we wanted to see at the Glytotech were closed. We spent most of our time in the middle of the city which was not close to the hotel. The hotel was OK. The elevators are tiny. One person with 2 bags fills them. The rooms were comfortable but small. The shower was terrible as there was no curtain that fully covered the shower and water was sprayed on the floor. There was really no shelf to put stuff needed in the bath room. If we go back we will certainly look for another hotel.

The hotel is in a very convenient location. Just a couple of blocks from the Central Train Station and Tivoli. It's also a 10 minute walk to Stroget, the Latin Quarter, and 20 minute walk to Nyhavn. The room was large for European standards and clean. The bathroom didn't have enough counter space and the shower splash guard was ridiculously small so that whenever you take a shower, you will flood the floor. There is free internet access. In the room, you have to plug in but in the lobby, it is wifi.

2 blocks from main train station or at metro station from airport. Hop on Hop off bus main point at train station. Very convenient nice property.

We enjoyed two nights at the Imperial in Copenhagen within walking distance to the train station , Tivoli Gardens, and the the best Danish rolls ever at the nearby Tourist Information Center! The rooms were clean, the bathroom spacious, and the service friendly. A drawback was that breakfast wasn't included and the cost would have been quite high for just one of us in their restaurant. But everything in Copenhagen is expensive these days.

On a long week-end, we wanted a hotel that felt a little special, without paying a rip-off price (most hotels in CPH are overrated). Our room felt clean, modern, a tad small, with uninspiring view towards the interior courtyard (the other option was a view towards a busy avenue). Didn't choose breakfast because choice was boring and expensive (150DK pp), instead went to various local surrounding cafes for more choice and ambiance. Our room had quite a strong stale smell, I had to check that it was non-smoking, unfortunately it didn't dissappear no matter how long we left the windows open or the AC on.

This hotel is perfectly located! Can walk on block to main street or train station. There is a s-train stop just across the street. Hotel was clean. Would recommend walking to restaurants on main street. There is a grocery store within walking distance also. There is a tourist information center about 2 blocks away - very helpful. Staff was friendly.

After an overnight flight from US, couldn't wait to check in and shower. They had our reservation but no room, so they told us they had moved us to another hotel. We chose the imperial for it's location, especially train station and we were told the new hotel was just as close. I know this is the city of fairy tales, and that's exactly what we got from the Imperial staff. The new location was next to a construction site and was totally inconvenient to get anywhere. There were no cabs around and an infrequent shuttle. It was a disaster. Never book at the Imperial

It was fine but I was a bit disappointed in the helpfulness of the front desk staff....room was good....first one had view of parking lot...next one was a bit better with a deck so we didn't have to feel so closed in. Very nice cleaning staff, etc....location was very good...

Good location, although you need to avoid the morning rush of checking out since the front desk is not very large and is only staffed by several people.

Gutes, zentral gelegenes 4 Sterne-Hotel mit entsprechendem Komfort in der Nähe des Tivoliparkes. Haupteinkaufsstrasse in 10-15 min zu Fuss erreichbar. Frühstück nicht im Preis inbegriffen, reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet. Klimaanlage nicht leistungsstark. Modernes Bad mit Kombination aus Dusche / Badewanne. Safe und Bügelbrett vorhanden. 3 Computer mit Internetzugang in der Lobby. Well situated 4 star hotel with adequate comfort close to Tivolipark. Main shopping street in 10-15 min walking distance. Breakfast not included in the price. Big breakfast buffet. Modern bathroom with combination shower / bath tube. Safe and ironing board in the room. 3 Computers with internet access in the lobby.

visit for pleasure hotel was great close to all attractions and trains nice staff very clean restaurant was just okay stiff prices and stuffy staff would stay again and eat elsewhere bathrooms were spotless nice place for all

It provides the minimum. Very clean room. Quick check in. Convenient location. No terribly friendly place except for cleaning staff.

Everything was acceptable. Good location two blocks from the train station. Decent and clean rooms. We had inside room so no noise. Once we checked in, thee was little contact with anyone except the nice and cheerful Asian maids.

Overall, the hotel is gorgeous. Being my first time in Copenhagen, it was situated perfectly to Tivoli and Stroget. My only complaint about the hotel would be the overly soft beds. Every time I turned over in my sleep, I thought I was going to fall off the bed because the mattress would sink so low. I would hope that the management staff invest in some new beds to perfect an otherwise very good hotel.

The hotel is nice with beautiful interior and great location. The service is good for Danish standards (low standards) and the rooms are OK (again compared to other small danish hotel rooms). All in all an OK hotel.

The hotel was very conveniently located, 2 minute walk from the central train station, 2 minutes to Tivoli gardens(beautiful winter wonderland), 2 minutes to the town square(Hans Christian Andersen statue), and 2 minutes from stoget street. The room was spacious, clean and had everything you needed. The staff was gracious and kind and helpful. I woud definitely stay there again, and would recommend it to anyone going to Copenhagen.

My baggage was delayed which is totally not a good thing but the hotel staffs were very attentive and contacted the airline. They ensured that it was time stamped when the bag was duly delivered for my insurance claims purpose. I arrived very early at 7 am but was given a room straight away while I was asked what assistance need since my bag was delayed. Location is perfect, supermarket next door, everything you need is 5 mins away. Only suggestion is that hopefully the breakfast could be better.

Stayed 2 nights in mid- Nov. Pops: Room was clean; staff was nice and helpful. Just cross the street for city transit and 10 minutes walk to the central station and the city town hall; Nice big flat screen TV. Corns: Small size room for two but expected as the EQ standard; bed is too soft; strange thing is the shower place only has a half of the door so the water splashed all over the place when taking shower. A fine 3 star hotel.

Very attentive staff who cannot do enough for you. Food in Brasserie was excellent - only complaint was that it was very slow to appear

Most aspects of the Imperial are great - the location is perfect (2 blocks from the train station, & near the main square). The staff was particularly helpful, and there was no problem with the room. The big negative was the lack of a hotel restaurant (the bistro bar was really inadequate). The 150 DK breakfast was overpriced, even by Copenhagen standards. But fortunately, there are plenty of good places nearby.

1. Waited 45min for roomservice dinner, was told there was a 20min waiting time. 2. Had a room towards the parking good, however I was woken up by some noice from 1st floor @7 in the mornings, 2 days.. 3. Changed room and had a more noicy room towards the side street, noicy from road & traintrack.. 4. No sauna, pool or jacuzzi offered.. There is a nice & cosy fireplace..

Perfect location, very clean and room was big enough, staff very friendly and helpful!

I've stayed in this hotel a few times, it's great value and extremely nice. Comfortable beds, nice bar, everything you want to just chill and relax while being on a leisure or business trip. Five star quality and feeling without five star arrogance.
