Great location for being near concerts, but surrounding location is a bit sketchy. I arrived at 315, 3 is the check in time. Lobby was very crowded with other people checking in, and i had to wait a half hour for my room to be prepared, which i had reserved a month in advance. Just a bit frustrating. They offered a convienct taxi service to and from near by venues. My party walked to the izod cetner in the after noon, about 30 minutes, but at the end of the concert we didnt feel safe walking back, so we called the taxi. Its expensive for a 6 minute ride. about 10$ a person, independent of the distance. A rip-off non-the-least. Overall a nice place, which the price was cheaper, but it was great being so close to the venue.

The hotel was nice, easy to get to and friendly service. Only complaint I would have is it was very noisy. Could easily hear traffic on nearby road and the occasional plane flying overhead. And also hear other guests walking by. Also it was difficult to keep room at a constant nice temperature. Overall enjoyed experience and would go there again.

Good value for its closeness to the city.

Staff very professional and helpful Rooms spacious and clean. Nice breakfast offered. Great location to everything... Very satisfied.

Otherwise fine

totally enjoyed our recent weekend stay there. it was a 20 min drive to nyc. we stayed on the second floor, and some area was being remodeled, i didnt even notice/ hear anything, so it was great. we did have some issues with our key cards, but the staff was very helpful, and so it wasn’t inconvenient at all. staff was great, friendly. Simple, yet really cozy and nice room. I would stay here again.

had a very nice stay

This was my first trip to the Big Apple, and this hotel was so much more affordable than those in the city. Having the bus stop directly outside the front of the of the hotel was so convenient. The hotel staff was knowledgeable and courteous, and the room was clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to NYC.

Hotel was clean...beds were comfortable...breakfast had a good variety of hot and cold items...also conveniently located just minutes from the city...will defitely stay here again.

Our room was not on the first floor as we had asked, no refrigerator, as we asked for that also, tv did not change channels, bed was not as comfy as other Marriotts...pillow top mattress was poor and pillows pretty flat.We made our reservation a month in advance so these things should have been done, we will stay next time at the Hampton Inn down the road, we had a better room...also the windows were sooooo dirty looking out of our room...no excuse for that!

Hotel check-in and check-out was easy and efficient. Room and bathroom was clean. Staff were helpful and professional. I would stay here again.

the free breakfast was more than you would think you would get there was a very good selection. microwavable breakfast sandwichs to bagels to friuit to outmeal to waffle maker.Was all very good

The location is off the beaten path and not close to eats or shopping, but we knew that from other hotels.com reviews. It WAS on the bus line and we had no trouble getting used to the bus system and connections to the Metro in NYC/Subway. They had some construction going on in the lobby so the breakfast area was cramped and the same stuff each morning, but the rate was great and included breakfast. The room was clean and neat, not especially roomy, and the bathroom cramped, but we found it all worth it. Would recommend and would certainly stay there again.

We were going to a concert at the IZOD and other reviews said this place was in walking distance about 5 min away. Not so. We chose to drive and pay the parking fee when we realized that although the "path" isn't a horrible one, I didn't want to walk it back at midnight. And it's more like a 15-20 minute walk. Hotel was great though and the free breakfast was decent too!

The hotel smelled like old mold. The carpets were old, staff wasn't helpful much. For the price you are paying, it's not worth the stay.

Wonderfully nice hotel, suite style rooms and right on bus rout to the big city!

Location is a little industrial but right on a NJTransit line into New York City which is why I chose it. The hotel is very nice. Awesome continential breakfast and very nice desk staff.

We stayed here to take in a show on Broadway and we were very satisfied. The bus stop is right outside of the hotel, and it is a very easy and convenient way in and out of NYC. The room was very clean, nice size, bathroom was clean also. Breakfast was typical hotel breakfast food. Only a mile from the Meadowlands. Only fifteen minute bus ride into NYC Port Authority.

I stayed with my family for 3 days from 17th of june 22011. we had a pleasant stay with good persons at the receptions. The hotel was clean. It had no frills. There was no microwave or fridge in the room. I chose this hotel because there was bu sservice to portauthority terminal form just infront of the hotel till midnight every 15 minutes and it took only 20-25 mts to reach manhattan .

This hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a location convenient to The Meadowlands. Price was very reasonable for the location. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

This hotel provides a great place to lay your head. The rooms are clean and staff is professional. Not a whole lot of amenities but it was perfect for our needs.

Hotel was OK overall. Conveniently located and good connection to Manhattan., Hotel need some renovation and needs a bigger breakfast area. It was too crowded during breakfast and quite a few people did not find a place to sit.

I stayed for couple of nights in two different rooms. The first night room on the second floor was bad. The AC was too loud and water dripping in the wash room all night. There was a bad smell in the room. The hallway and the elevator smells bad. The second night I was given another room on the 5th (top floor). this was much better, but still not what i expected. This was my first time at this hotel and never any more.

Clean and comfortable room. Inter-state Bus Service to NYC is convenient in that it stops across from the hotel. Parking is convenient. Better than staying in NYC.

Came because of need to visit relative in hospital, so just needed clean, quiet, convenient accommodations...and it delivered. Wasn't looking for vacation-style, deluxe surroundings, so it met my relatively low expectations. Rooms were clean; beds comfortable; new LCD TV with good range of cable channels and in-room movies; easy to get to Izod center, Secaucus shopping, area restaurants and roadways into NYC. Free breakfast was pretty basic (french toast, bananas, bagels, yogurt, do-it-yourself breakfast sandwiches), but better than some. "Room service" from local restaurant reasonably priced and tasty. Clean exercise room and working ice machines/vending.

Had stayed there for 3 Day's Attendant was ok. But second day there they Locked me out of my room after i got back from meeting. no opology! Wouldnt even clean my roon that same day.;;very souracastic chinaman at counter. talked to much over nothing...will not ret. there.

Kinda sleezy

Very thing in the hotel was good very friendly staff specially front office staff Luis was very friendly and his knowledge around the city and New York was very help full. I wish they have the room better maintained and the Air conditioner was horrible too noisy. washroom requires some upgrading. over all pretty decent hotel for the fee one pays.

The hotel is very convenient to New York City. Outside of it you take the bus # 163 or 164 and for $4.25 one way, it take you to NY subway. Love everything about it. Next trip I'm going to stay here again. :))))

We are a family of five and we stayed in a two double beds room. The hotel is in NJ and we were there to visit NYC. -Got a good price according to NYC standards and last minute booking. -Good location. You can catch the 163 no. bus from right outside the hotel. -Room didn't have microwave. This caused some inconvenience to us. -Request for rollaway bed and extra towels/blanket was turned down in a we'll-see-if-we-can-do-something-about-it manner. -Grocery store, eating joints are not that many and that near (if walking).

Our stay here was ablove and beyond what we expected. The room was spacious and clean. The staff was professional and friendly. Carmen at the front desk went out of her way to help us with questions and provided all the answers. Fatima was the woman that cleaned our room and she was helpful and friendly. This was a really great experience and we never expected the stay to be so pleasant

My family and I had a wonderful stay at the Fairfield Inn, The staff was so sweet, only downfall June and NO POOL :(. The breakfast was so yummy, the kids enjoyed it. Thanks to the staff.

Good distance from everything and hotel was cleaner the most i've seen with the same rating

This hotel was very clean. The free breakfast included fresh made waffles! If you are going to IZOD, it was the perfect place to stay. The only thing I didn't like was that there wasn't a pool.

We have stayed at this property before as it is close to family in northern NJ. I prefer the spaciousness of the king to the two bed room, but the location is good and we have gotten a good night's rest on both occasions. The selection of breakfast foods is good and everything sems fresh. Our only problem was a tub valve that was difficult to turn, but the man at the desk came immediately to turn it on. He got the shower to go, but there was a persistent leak from the tub faucet. Service is good and the staff is helpful and courteous.

Great place close to NY city, the bus picked us up in front of the hotrl and dropped us back off in the evening. Great deal .

We were quite surprised to find a hotel this close to the city, very clean and well maintained, and with continental breakfast; for a very fair price. The bus every fifteen minutes or less to N.Y. city usually taking 20 minutes was wonderful; and literally at the front of the hotel! $4.25 each way from early AM til 1AM at night or so! Dropping you two blocks from Times Square! Thank goodness for places like this which makes it fun (and reasonable to travel)

hotel was at a very convenient location...i was able to request location of room...room was better than expected & served it's purpose while i needed it...i will definitely stay here again.

Not the best but OK for a one nighter - tons of teenagers in the breakfast area - hard to get a bite to eat. They were consunming everything and more - they managed to sprawl across the entire breakfast area and lobby. Niobody seemed to care.

bathtub had non stop dripping faucet ..not a issue tho

After staying at numerous Fairfield Inns, I was surprised to find this one in need of some updates. The furniture was somewhat worn and the mattress was not as comfortable as usual. Most Fairfields have a pool and jacuzzi, but this one does not. Next time I would try tjhe Residence Inn across the street!
