would go there again - perfect location- staff extremely friendly

I am suspicious of reviews where everything is awarded 5 stars. They give me the impression that the reviewer is easily impressed however, I could not award any less to this hotel. I am a fussy world traveler accustomed to luxury at home and abroad and was very pleased with my stay at the Majestic. I arrived in Barcelona at 8am prepared to wait until noon or later to check in however my room was ready and upgraded. Hotel staff was pleasant and attentive. The property is conveniently located in an upscale pleasant area, spotlessly maintained and consistent with its local reputation (from a smart cab driver and tipping is not expected in Barcelona) as the third best hotel in this beautiful city. I was even allowed late checkout.

We loved our time at the Majestic. The pool and terrace were terrific...pool in the daytime. The terrace was great at night after diner...dj, people, drinks and all while overlooking the city of Barcelona.

they postponed check in to 4 pm and could care less how you felt about it. the TV in the room didn't work. they came and checked it but didn't fix it. beautifull place in and great location if you can get past the arrogance

They were unable to grant us access to our room until nearly 5 PM, with no effort to accomodate us other than holding on to our luggage. Supposedly got an upgraded room, but it overlooked a parking lot and the closet was up on some landing that ran the length of the room cutting it's useful floorspace considerably. The bed was very comfortable, a real home run. Bathroom was very nice. Staff was curt and dismissive. We won't be back.

This hotel should not be allowed to advertise its standrad rooms as 5 star. The rooms are very small, only internal windows. When we asked to change we were told all standard rooms were the same. In other words they didn't care about our experience. Also very noisy in the corridors on our last night. Would not recommend this hotel to any one looking for a 5 star hotel. We have stayed in 5 star hotels all over the world and this was the worst, would be stretching it to rate it as a 3 star.

Negative Our room was small and cramped. The furnishing appeared to come from a grandmother's attic. The hotel was undergoing renovation but that was not disclosed. The TV was the size of a standard computer screen and was placed on a desk inconvenient to watch. Internet service (at a premium) was very poor. We were on the same floor as meeting/ catering rooms. Electric plugs were scarce. Positive The rooms were clean. The bathroom was nice with good water pressure. The location was excellent.

The only thing 5 star about this hotel are their prices. It is dark, the staff unfriendly and the views are non existing. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

This hotel beautiful and located in the perfect spot. It is close to many tourist attractions and surrounded by excellent restaurants. The service was outstanding. Our air conditioner was rattling and they said they would be up to fix in five mintutes. They were really there in 5 minutes! I highly recommend this hotel.

Nice Hotel, great location, Room was large, bathroom beautiful w/great amenities, BR walls were cracked and in need of paint & spackle! Early flight the next day, spoke to 2 different staff members at different times at the concierge/front desk to request a wake up call since there is no clock in the room. It never came! We were very late for our flight

Central hotel, located up the street from Casa Batllo, about 10 mins walk from Plaza de Catalonia. Spotlessly clean, excellent service. Only complaint is that our AC was directed at the bed so it was either to warm with AC off or too cold with it on! Pool area is small, but fantastic views of the city.

an excellent 5 star hotel quality underwritten throughout our stay. Set menu lunch was very reasonable however the hotel was generally very expensive to eat and drink in it is located on a very elite avenue with the top shops and nice to walk around very close to metro and to gaudi 's casstil spectaular roof garden/bar views stunning of sacredia familia

Hotel Majestic ligger perfekt när det gäller shopping och har en trevlig bar att pusta ut i. Dessvärre dras hela hotellupplevelsen ner av nonchalant personal. De är ointresserade av gästerna och verkar uppleva "servicemindness" som någon modern nyck. Tråkigt hotellrum och mycket bristfälligt städning. Kan docl rekommendera deras spa och terass (med bar på sommaren). Bra behandlingar till ett överkomligt pris. Majestic är med andra ord ett bra "vattenhål" men bo någon annanstans för samma pengar!

The Majestic Hotel is a good hotel, but I was expecting a bit more from a luxury leasure place. The good points are : it is a beautiful place, the swinnming pool is small but enjoyable, rooms are confortable, the location is nice, the feetness is small but usefull, the view is splendid (but nor unforgetable), the bathroom is good. What we didn't like : the food is really bad (I tend to feel angry when pancakes taste like vomit, and a very expensive sandwich is not at least enjoyable), room service is bad (they don't come in time and are not nice). We didn't understand why a simple maid was 100 times nicer and warmer than the concierges. It's noisy. If you want to try the Majestic Hotel, my advice is to use what the hotel offers as services (be carefull, some are free, others are not), but not to feel concerne about people rudeness, and eat somewhere else at any cost. But carefull of the choice of your room : you can chose a view on the street or not. In conclusion, the majestic hotel is good, but not great. My personal feeling is that we could expect a lot more from a 5 stars hotel such as good food or nice people.

Venlig modtagelse, dejligt værelse, god mad

Après avoir passé 3 nuits dans cet hôtel en plein été, ce que j'ai le plus apprécié est sa situation sur le Passage de Grace, une artère principale de la ville. De plus, sa terrace sur le toit, au 10ème étage avec son bar de jour et de nuit et sa piscine, est certainement celle qui offre la plus belle vue de Barcelone. Enfin, rien à dire sur les prestations de l'hotel, c'était parfait !
