The room smelled like it had a mold issue and had a cigarette odor, bathroom door was warped due to high humidity and wouldn't shut, bathtub wouldn't drain even after maintenance was called. We liked the location, but very unsatisfied with the quality of the room especially with the rate we had to pay

Great location, very comfortable rooms, but truly lousy service. Instead of "service with a smile" you get "service with a growl."

Awesome stay. Nice room conveniently located within walking distance of downtown.

Overall the experience was good at this Double Tree. The concierge was great and helped give us a good understanding of the city. She had some great recommendations and definitely hooked us up at BB Kings! Location was a short walk to Broadway and other desirable sports. No hot water in the shower Saturday and Sunday mornings was a bummer.

The bad 1. The hotel shower head hardware was loose and falling out of the wall 2. the sink did not drain 3. The hotel room smelled stale 4. Did not receive cookies upon arrival The good 1. Shuttle was a nice option and Elliot was very nice 2. The water pressure was strong 3. Having a Starbucks in the lobby was convenient

This was a very good choice. After checking prices at comparable downtown hotels, this was the best option for me. The service was above average. The cookies at check-in are a nice-touch. The room (Junior Suite) was very spacious. Pull out loveseat, fridge, mini-microwave. The room was clean and well kept. The condition of the rest of the hotel was clean and presentable. Above average bar area with live music. Starbucks in hotel if that's your thing. Hotel had a very nice location. A bit north but a short walk to everything. No cab or rental car needed. No issues during my stay. Would stay again.

There were definite signs of aging, much like myself! But, the beds were great, the room was clean, which is, after all, much more important than new. The best part of the stay was the staff. Everyone was kind, helpful, and personable.

good location to the Ryman Auditoriun where we were headed. Bed was too soft resulting in backaches. Bathroom was in dire need of an upgrade. Dripping faucets and stained tubs and toilets. Usually Doubletrees are more updated. You do get cookies though!

Hotel was fine, room small for the price Bathroom sink drain would gurgle, as if were going to backup, when guests in other rooms would shower.

For the price the hotel was extremely dated and front desk was rude. They need some major updates and friendlier staff for $300 a weekend night.

Very enjoyable

Very nice staff and great hotel room. Walking distance of many great music venues. Room was very clean and well stocked, and they give you cookies when you check in!

We had a problem with our television, and the maintenance man was absolutely wonderful!! He not only fixed the problem, but gave us some great knowledge of Nashville. He's a keeper!

Overall the hotel was pretty nice. The location is great, which is reflected in the price. The bed was very comfy, but the room was quite small. The bathroom floor was a little bit dirty. Also, there is no fan in the bathroom, so when anyone showers the whole room fills up with steam. It felt very humid in our room during the stay, which was fine because it's still chilly outside, but in the summer that would be pretty annoying, I think. The pool and fitness room were very nice.

The service here is excellent. We had booked a "Junior Suite." Upon arrival, we saw that the room did not meet our expectations of a "suite," meaning a separation between 2 spaces. This room was just a larger room. Traveling as a family of 5, we only rent suites. The manager, Josh, immediately made the situation right for us by finding a fair solution. I would suggest that the room description be changed. A "larger room" is not the same as a "suite" in the eyes of most travelers. The hotel was very clean, very convenient, and the staff was wonderful, but the description on the site is quite misleading. We would not have been comfortable in the "junior suite" for 3 days with 5 people. Thanks to the manager for making it right.

Good value for the money. Clean but not luxurious . Only a few blocks from the Bridgestone Arena.

Stayed one night for a concert at Bridgestone Arena ... Lots of places to eat closeby and walkable distance to the arena... Has a shuttle that will also take you 10 blocks in any direction but you might have to wait. Parking is a rip off... They have a self serve parking garage right across the street where they end up parking the valet cars anyway for half the price! Overall good stay would definitely use this hotel again...

everything was great except that the maid service banged on our door as well as everyone elses at 8:30 am to wake up even though checkout is not until noon .. We were not very happy about that considering we were in town for a concert and got in very late .

We were in town for a concert and our stay at the Doubletree was very pleasant. It's convenient to everything downtown. A few complaints: we had planned to spend the afternoon relaxing by the indoor pool. The pool itself was very nice, but the room itself is COLD! There was cool air blowing from the vents and it was just generally chilly - not really what you want when you're planning to swim and relax! We went into the adjacent workout room to work up a sweat and get hot so that we could go in the pool. Note to management: a tropical atmosphere would be better appreciated in the pool area! Our other complaint is that the Starbucks in the lobby closed at 3.00 PM. We had spotted it earlier and had planned to have a great big decadent coffee drink after our pool time, to recharge for the concert that night. What a disappointment to find that it had closed for the day! I realize that this is probably a Starbucks issue and not a Doubletree one, however. Also note: hotel parking is not provided, and runs over $25 a night. Yes, you read that right. We parked in a garage nearby ($16/day.) Other than that, our stay was very nice and the room (particularly the bed) was very comfortable.

I booked this hotel for location and price (it was the lowest cost of a downtown hotel). We booked the hotel for a concert trip, but the concert was cancelled. We decided to stay anyway. The hotel staff was very friendly, the valet parking was great, and the location was perfect. We walked downtown to Broadway for the night and walked back. I never felt unsafe on our adventure. The room was clean and the bed was wonderful. Will book this hotel again!

My favorite Hotel to stay in -in Downtown Nashville - the location is great - the staff is great and the rooms are great!!!

Nice stay -- everything as expected except it took over an hour for the valet to retrieve our car Sunday morning. For the hefty parking fee, I expected better service. Granted, the hotel was sold-out and a lot of guests were checking-out at the same time, but still....

I couldn't control the temperature to comfortable level. Also, on my second day, the housekeeping staff didn't replenish my coffee supply. I called the desk at 6 am and all I got was a bunch of coffee bags, no sugar, stirrers, or cream. The airport shuttle is $15 - which is not publicized at all. I asked about timing and information but no one ever shared its cost. I won't stay here again.

I was not offered a cookie upon check-in. I know this sounds trivial but it is part of DoubleTree's standards.

The room thermostat seemed to not function very well, the room tv remote had to be replaced house keeping did not replace wash rags just towels, guy at desk was not very friendly made reference to us booking through a third party instead of booking with them

Hotel was perfectly located downtown. I was there on Christmas but lots of music clubs open and the visit was short but fun.

Can't say anything negative about it. The hotel was a bit pricey but so were all of the hotels in the area. The rooms were very spacious which is a plus!

We had a great time! Eateries, music, shopping, and more within easy walking distance.

Very comfortable place, cafe food was very good.

This was my second time staying at this particular DoubleTree. This week we had stayed at the Comfort Inn across town and the DoubleTree was a very welcome change after two days at the Comfort Inn. While you pay more for a room, it's a completely different experience and environment. It was three full-sized adult guys staying in the room, and we actually had room to walk around without tripping over small beds, unlike the other hotels in town. Front desk staff was pleasant; manager on duty was great and struck up a conversation when he heard where we were from. Room and bathroom was spotless, and spacious. Free wi-fi is a HUGE plus. Room even had a lounge chair and a large desk. Is also a good distance from Broadway, takes about 10 minutes or so to walk, through the business district.
