Omni Austin Hotel - أوستين

My husband and I stayed at the Downtown Omni the two nights after our wedding and could not have had a better experience. We were given a significant upgrade to our room and all of the employees were so nice! I would definitely suggest this hotel.

Everything you would expect from a great downtown hotel and convenient to everything. All the staff are very professional and congenial. We will be back.

The room was a true King Suite. Very comfortable and nicely appointed. Exceptional bedding and a superior mattress. A very good value. The building itself was built in the mid-1980's and has the feel of a convention center; similar in style to the Javitz Center in NYC. The hotel is a few blocks to the bustling 6th Street area; great for those wanting to wind their way thru the music clubs nearby. The area directly outside the hotel is somewhat rundown and rather bland but not dangerous. A block to the Driskill, a few more blocks to the State Capitol. Much of the staff was pleasant and professional, some of the front desk could learn a little about the surrounding area. Like knowing that the Museum a block away is no more or the bus line to take to the campus. The independent barber in the lobby has prices posted than wants to charge inflated prices. Got my hair cut on South Congress instead!

The hotel was greayt and the staff very attentive. Our room was too closse to the ice maker machine and we heard the noise every time somebody got ice.

This hotel allows dogs. A dog was barking when we got in at 6P. A dog was barking from 9:30AM - 11AM the next morning. When we addressed this with the staff, they simply said " You should have called us right away and we would have come and got the dog." This does not change the fact that I paid for a hotel to sleep late in peace and was awoken by a dog and unable to go back to sleep. They did nothing to compensate for this. It is also $19 to park.

Over the years I have stayed in many hotels and never have I been awakened 3 hours before check-out by the intrusive cleaning lady. Can you believe this lady actually came into our room while I was still asleep! When I called guest services, I was told that this practice is company policy. I guess I expected customer service to be a part of Omni Hotel's company policy, but I guess I was wrong. Never again from this avid hotel customer!

A great experience, the staff were all friendly, helpful and efficient. The was room very clean, nice and comfortable. I would most definitely stay there again.Thank you for making my stay a pleasant one!

Convenient to get to, rooms very comfortable, staff very helpful, close to 6th st.

I am in a wheelchair and I was overwhelmed at the service we received. We had to change rooms and the young man who helped us from the car to our room handled everything. Stayed with us and got us to our new room, made sure I could use the restroom and then went down and got our new key cards. It is our new hotel of choice. We are there every other month.

The walls are paper thin. We could hear all the great groaning from the couple next door at 2 a.m., which, coincidentally, is right about the time the hallways come to life as the drinkers come back to continue the party. This was on a Thursday and Friday night about 2 weeks before Christmas. Not a particularly party-type time of year. The screams, yelling and door slamming in the hall happened both nights we were there. The front desk knows there's a noise problem and offered us this choice when we checked in: Take a room on the window side of the hotel and get lots of street noise, or a room on the atrium side of the hotel and get lots of hallway noise. Good news, it's possible to get both! We called to complain at 2:30 a.m. when the noise didn't stop. They sent up a guy about 45 minutes later to control the crowds. By the time he got there, it was quiet enough for us to get woken up again by his squawking radio, "All quiet on nine!" Thanks. It was. It would have been fun if we had been 21 and out drinking, too. But if you're an adult that likes sleeping and got all of this "Oh cool, let's get a hotel and get plastered with your roommates" thing out of your system 15 years ago, do not stay here.

Overall a wonderful experience! Accommodations were great and the service from check in to check out was always friendly and personable.

This hotel has great location, friendly staff and nice clean rooms. Two main issues we had during our stay: 1. noise was seeping in through the doors and walls. Apparently there is no insulation inside drywall. I could hear the next door room AND bathroom loud and clear. Also, hallway noise was bothersome at 2-3am when everyone is coming back from 6th st. Seemed louder than other hotels we've stayed. I recommend requesting a room far from the elevators to minimize hallway traffic near of your door. 2. $26 for parking seems outrageous. .

The Omni Austin Downtown is an outstanding location. All of the Austin entertainment in the downtown area is a short walk from the hotel. The service at the hotel is outstanding and the rooms are very clean. It is a great place to spend a weekend.

the hotel was nice, but all of the staff insist on serving you. We had a few bags which I prefer to handle, but they wouldn't take no for an answer. It did not feel classy, it felt pushy. the location was great. it got really cold the last night and we turned on the heater. When we did, it smelt realllllly bad and never worked. I called the front desk twice. No one answered. We froze all night. Very bad lasting impression!!!!

This is a great Hotel with a great location in downtown Austin, but be prepared if you are there on the weekend and are on the street side of the hotel to hear Six Street to way in the early hours of the morning - it just one party all night long it seems. We try to walk the street and enjoy the fun, but we really could tell our age, when no one around us was with in 30 years of our own age. Hey, life is to enjoy - you will have fun if your are looking for it in Downtown Austin Texas

There were several problems with my room. First, my pillow had hairs on it, and the mouthwash bottle the hotel provided had been used. Also, my room safe did not work, and the staff did not remove/replace the glasses and coffee cup I had used the day before. Further, there was no ice machine on my floor--the closest one was four floors below. Otherwise, the staff was very nice and the food at the bar was great. I just expected more from the Omni.

The only disappointment I had was being told by hotels.com that valet parking was $5/day and when we checked out it was $25/day and the hotel would not give us what we were told.

The omni hotel in downtown Austin was disappointing. Other than the great service at the front desk, our stay was below our expectations. The rooms were small and Were not cleaned well, But worst of all, the noise was ridiculous. I expected that the noise from 6th street would be loud and was okay with that. I was not expecting to hear every door open and close, or every conversation on our hallway. I was not okay with that. I will not stay in this hotel again and I would not recommend it to friends.

Simply outstanding. Very courteous, attentive staff. Excellent condition of premises. Front desk, concierge, doormen, valets were very service-conscious.

We were impressed with the Omni at the price point in Austin. The rooms were nice and the roof top pool exceeded our expectations. We've stayed at the Hilton in Austin and it was not as nice. They are both nice hotels but Omni gets my vote based on value and service.

So convenient, great location, lovely facility. Not a lot of charm or anything unique but our room was quiet and comfortable and the staff was helpful. We liked that you could get your car in and out without a valet. We would stay there again and recommend it to others who want to be downtown in Austin.

The price of the self-parking is a rip off. The room was really very small.

Fantastic from start to finish

I was "upgraded to a suite on the private 15th floor. I thought it would be great. It wasn't. The carpets were old and stained from elevator to the room and throughout. It smelled like it had been abandoned. The suites kitchen had very old cabinets and appliances. The bathroom was gross, as was the bedroom. The tv stand was a foot from the wall and in the way. Never again.

The hotel was nice but the room we stayed in looked a little shabby. I liked the rooftop heated pool but the jacuzzi was broken when we went. The location was great.

The hotel staff was extremely accomodating. Unfortunately while showering the shower head fell off. Upon alerting the front desk it was repaired before I returned from dinner. Extremely comfortable bedding as well as roomy bathroom!

In the center of downtown and close to six street and capitol bldg. I love the location and the price.However I couldn't overlook couple of items that should have been taken care of in a hotel of this stature. Coffee table had glass/cup ring from previous guest and the floor lamp wasn't working. Would definitely recommend though!

I have stayed at this hotel for about the last 4 tailgating seasons. We have been very pleased with service and the rooms are pretty nice until this stay. The servcie was still good but the room was awful! It was in disrepair, didn't seem clean, bathroom was tiny, tub hard to get into, etc. I was so disappointed that being such a regular guest that they would put us in a room like this. If we had not stayed there before, we would not go back. Luckily for the Omni, we have stayed there and will go back but if we get a room like that again we will be back at the Driskill in downtown at a higher price.

I can't say enough about the staff at the Omni. The concierge was extremely helpful with restaurant and music suggestions. The location is perfect for exploring downtown Austin.

When my room key wasn't working the front desk insisted on sending a bellman up with me to make sure the new key worked. When the concierge saw me standing in front of the gift shop longing for it to open he used his master key and sold me the Tylenol himself. Room service was quick, tasty, and courteous. This might not be the trendiest hotel of the moment but they know their customer service and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Thank you Omni!

Let me begin by explaining the goal of the weekend. It was my 11-11-11 birthday, so 7 of my friends and I were going to Austin as we heard it has some of the best live music bars in the country. The location cannot be beat as its less than 2 blocks away from 6th, the heart of it all. The concierge was very personable and tried to even learn some of our names. Its a comfortable walking distance from the convention center and the "bat" bridge (about 8-10 blocks each) and Texas Longhorn's stadium (about 10 blocks). The rooms were very clean and spacious with all the amenities you would expect from a nice hotel like the Omni. I would say the only downsides to our stay was the hot tub was broken and the noise from 6th can be heard but didn't bug a semi-light sleeper like me. If noise does bug you, however, you can sacrifice the view for a quieter "inside" room. Also it was fairly pricey, but the service is worth it. I would stay there again? Easily. The location and the staff made the stay worth it.

Great food and bar. Close to 6th street and downtown, with lots of things to do and places to eat. We went for a weekend getaway and didn't want to leave. Will definitely stay again when we are looking for a quiet, kid-free weekend.

We enjoyed our stay at the Omni Austin. it is very convenient to all of downtown Austin. if you like to walk, you can even walk to the south end of the UT campus (museums there), or walk to Town Lake which has a great walking trail. We did not use any of the restaurants in the hotel because we like to explore, so no information there. The concierge obtained a reservation for us at a wonderful sushi restaurant & asked for us to be seated with a specific waiter- who provided amazing service. That was a nice extra touch. My only complaint is that I needed bath/shower gel, and it was not provided or even available by calling front desk or concierge. (Great excuse to go shopping...)The tub was also very slow to drain. I would consider these minor inconveniences.
