Great location! So close to Notre Dame just a couple blocks away. Walking distance to the Old Town Montreal. And a longer walk or short taxi to all the shopping like La Baie department stores. There is free internet but only downstairs on the shared 4 computers but free printing which was nice. Would stay there again.

we were not surprised but still disappointed to find that many of the negative reviews we had read online about this delta were indeed true. the negative issues pertain to the room. the fan was so noisy we had to turn it off in order to sleep, the blow dryer did not work and when we called for a new one it took 24 hours to be sent to us, there were 4 of us in room and they never left more than 2 bath towels, we called for more 3 days in a row and only got more on the 3rd try, our used glasses and mugs were not replaced daily so we went to the restaurant for take out coffees instead of being able to make coffee in the room for free ! finally, the drab beige and brown decor is so outdated, it is depressing !!

It was a beautiful hotel, nice room, but was deceived by the fact that there were no balconies and we had to go down out the lobby to go outside. The pool closes at 9:30pm, which should be open until midnight for adults to relax in the pool without children splashing everywhere. I don't really understand why there are two Delta hotels within 1 km, so we first went to the wrong hotel and were redirected to the right one, which was 5 mins away.

Very good hotel - covers all the basics. Location perfect for access to old town. Nothing great in the immediate vicinity but a short walk in either direction gets you to where the action is.

Great location for walking to Old Montreal - Via Rail Station - lots to see and do in this area - revolving roof top restaurant was excellent

I chose the Delta Centre Ville in Montreal, QB, Canada as it was in between old and new Montreal. I hadn't been to this beautiful city in many years and was reconnecting with old friends. It was just as convenient to the shopping on Ste. Catherine as it was the Place' du Jacques Cartier..Service as good, was very clean and felt safe all hours of the day and night. I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to the Montreal area.

The service was very good and friendly. The room was small with very little room for walking around. The doors and furniture looked roughed up and abused for a hotel of this quality. The parking was a disappointment because as paying guests of the hotel we then had to pay for parking on top of the room rate and it was for every day we stayed. We thought that they would validate our parking ticket once we got to the lobby to sign in but they don't validate and they keep charging you more with each day. We were not told that this extra charge would be part of the hotel stay's fees. Updates on the room's cleanliness and the decor, as well as the parking included in the room rate would have made our stay more pleasant. We ate at the restaurant there and the food was very good but a continental breakfast was not included and would have been nicer.

This hotel is in a great location for site seeing. Just a short distance to everything. The hotel staff were very nice. We found the restuarant a little pricey. The hotel is starting to show some wear and tear, but still clean and comfortable. Good value for your money. I would recommend they have an airport shuttle service though. The taxi ride to and from the airport is a little expensive. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Were quite shocked at the condition of our room as the shower did not have a shower head.Room smelt of smoke.Cracked window on the 22nd floor room covered with a wooden panel. Took pictures and complained and were assigned a comfortable room the next day. Double sized beds not really comfortable.When one books a month in advance on expects better for the 3.5 rating.

Good location, a little noisy from traffic. Big disappointment that the 30th floor restaurant/bar was only open on Friday and Saturday nights.

very good location, very nice hotel ans a great deal!

I rated "Comfort= 4 " because the doors are very noisy when people in other rooms go in and out, specially early in the morining when one is still in bed.

We recently stayed at this hotel for 2 nights, found the room especially the bed very comfortable, the bathroom could have been polished a bit but was clean. The room was set up for only 2 people and only had 2 bath towels, we could have used a couple of extra towels. The location was perfect for our need to visit the Jazz festival and Old Montreal, it was the same distance to both. We have been to Montreal a number of times in the past and I would not hesitate to return to this hotel.

Hotel staff were very nice and accommodating. We were surprised there was not a safe or minibar in the room. We were told that they will be renovating soon and will be adding safes. In the meantime, there were safes available at the front desk-that just isn't as convenient. The decor does need some updating, so it was good to hear that was being planned. Very good location. The big negative was the parking garage. I had read the reviews about the spaces being tight, but I had no idea how bad it was until arriving. After finally finding a spot and squeezing in, I vowed to not move the car until we were ready to leave!

We really liked this hotel. It was close enough to walk just about everywhere, and the metro/subway was just across the street. Very convenient. Didn't drive our car even once while there. Had lunch at the Bistro twice -- they were excellent, and were our 2 best lunches while in Montreal. The hotel staff responded immediately when our TV didn't work right and fixed it right away. Our only negatives (and they are very minor) is that our room sometimes had an odd smell and we could not control the temperature. We could turn the fan higher or lower, but that was all. Overall, this is a very nice hotel and we really enjoyed our stay. Yes, we would stay there again!

Comfy bed. No fridge in room, hard to get wi-fi reception on 25th floor. No towel bars in bathroom. Main floor restaurant very pricey++ for average quality food. Underground tunnels to shops, subway, other centres and facilities (Palais des Congres). Otherwise great location, walked everywhere.

Enjoyed the stay. The staff were very helpful. Enjoyed the view from the 25th floor. Perfect location, walking distance from downtown and old montreal.

I booked this online at short notice and based my decision based on the reviews on Hotels.com and the attached photos. This was likely a pretty swanky place at one point. It is no longer. A few things... The bath and bed linens were of poor quality as were the bath amenities. The room lacks wifi and the wired internet in my room also didnt' work. This meant that I had to repair to the lobby in order to do any business. The shower diverter in my room didn't function properly. not really that big of a deal as I could always take a bath; just an inconvenience really. I had breakfast the following morning in the Bistro. I ordered eggs, ham, toast and homefries. The eggs were fine. The toast was cold. The homefries were, in fact, cold french fries. The ham was sliced deli ham thrown on a griddle until it was warm and had a faint brown, greasy sheen on it. All of the above being said he are the pros: 1. The room was clean 2. The bed was firm and matress of good quality. 3. The staff I interacted with were very pleasant and helpful. All in all i was disappointed. I am a hotelier by trade and typically hate these sorts of rants as they provide little opportunity for the hotel to defend itself. In this case however the price did not support the experience. There is little that could be done to change my experience during my stay and I post these comments in the hopes that the hotel will take the feedback as the contructive criticism it is intended to be.

Great location for walking to Old Monreal, Latin Quarter and Underground City. Hotel room was nce and clean, staff were pleasant and dining was great!

I've stayed in Delta hotels before, including this one and I can honestly say it is now in need of some serious help. The was a DIRTY Qtip on the floor next to the bed and a USED Band Aid stuck to the bedspread. The TV Cabinet was broken (a door was hanging on one hinge), the shower was old and the ventilation was loud. All in all, this is no longer a Delta level hotel. I'd give this place 2.5 Stars... generously. Had I not pre-paid for the 2 nights, I would have left the hotel on the first night.

One of the best nights we have spent in a hotel, period. Wonderful service, comfy bed, quiet room, nice view and even the room service food was excellent. Highly recommend it.

1st of all parking is very small. for a high rise hote like that its way too small. not much car can get in. spacing too narrow, its hard to maeuver inside. no wifi in the room . angd the pool is too small. room so cold. everything expensive, parking food, internet. internet should be free. for the money that we paid for staying not worth. internet and breakfast should be free. i'd rather stay in the motel next time. did not reach my expectation.

While the location of this hotel was great, right downtown, easy access to metro, close to train station, the condition of the room was what would prevent me from staying here again. First of all it was not very clean at all. The surfaces were for some reason very sticky! They didn't seem to have been cleaned for some time. Second the room was very noisy. The ventilation fan for the air supply systems was so load it kept me awake at night, even if I tried to use the wall adjustment to lower the speed. Third it was very cold in the room, even when I had tried to turn the heat up earlier in the day. Again, it was so cold it kept me awake. And fourth, there was almost no bedding on the beds. So with the room being so cold, it made it very uncomfortable to sleep. Overall, I like the location but would never want to stay there again. My wife and kids would certainly agree. I guess we could have tried to get another room, but I didn't want the hassle for the short time we were there.

Having read a scathing review of the Delta Montreal, I thought it only fair to report our positive experience. Our two 26th floor rooms, adjoining via a vestibule outside the suite doors, were well maintained. Beds were comfortable and clean. CRT televisions may be yesterday's technology, but they worked and my kids didn't care. The hotel is centrally located within an easy walk of both Old Montreal and downtown, with easy access to the subway (Metro). We visited the Science Centre at the docks and shopped the cobbled streets of the Old Port , then walked to Saint Catherine Street and enjoyed a smoked meat sandwich for lunch and still more shopping. I parked our car in the basement for the duration of our stay. I travel extensively and stay in many hotels. It is obvious that the the Delta Montreal is overdue for a refit, including replacement of furniture and fixtures, but that did not impact our stay. We obtained good value.

I was in Montreal for a habs game and some shopping. The location was very convenient. The parking garage was well laid out and easy to navigate through. The lobby and check-in area is first class. The room was a bit dated. Especially the bathroom / bathtub bordered the side of something that needed to be changed or renovated. The television set was an older type 27'' monitor. The rest of the suite was okay. Bed was comfy enough and noise was completely absent from the room (we were on the 20th floor mind you).

Excellent hotel - highly recommended. We were travelling with a baby and staff went out of their way to accomodate our needs. Honest, postive staff.

We enjoyed our stay at Delta, and we will probably stay there again the next time we're in Mtl. Room service was also great, the pizza is excellent. Breakfast buffet, though, left a lot to be desired for the price; would have been a much better idea in hindsight to have ventured into one of the great restaurants in Old Mtl for brunch instead!

Pretty good hotel, clean, very friendly staff - decent location. Walking distance to Old City and port and easy access to the metro. Only lame thing - no wireless internet in room!!

This is a great hotel in a prime downtown location that is walkable to many different attractions & also to old Montreal. The convenience of this location driving into Montreal is also very convenient with underground secure parking at the hotel. The room was big & clean & very nice. The bedding was AWESOME! The bed & bedding & pillows were all sooooo comfortable, very nice surprise. I came home & ordered the pillows for my own bed! Great bar in the lobby with slot machines. This was our 1st time staying @ the Delta. We have stayed for many years nearby @ the other chain hotels & we will make the Delta Hotel our 1st choice on our future visits.

Although on a whole the hotel is nice, I was displeased that the two rooms I had booked as non smoking only applied to one room. The clerk tried to find another non smoking room however it was a busy weekend and all rooms at the hotel were booked solid. I just found it inconvenient for my non smoking friends cause they drove all that way only to end up getting a room on a floor that reeked of cigarette smoke.

Room was clean, food was good at the restaurant but there could've been a bigger selection. The revolving roof restaurant wasn't open the day we stayed there as it was only open late week. The parking garage is really tight so small cars are best. It's in a good location close to old Montreal.

We arrived on cruise ship early Saturday morning, took a short cab ride to hotel, and were able to check in immediately --- in our room by 9am. The hotel was beautiful, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect. We walked easily to Old Montreal, Notre Dame, restaurants, and other sites.

At the edge of downtown, not near anything cool. Bring cab fare.

Hotel was very nice, clean, and centrally located. A couple block walk to Old Montreal, and a metro station right next door that you can get to by walking through the hotel. The staff couldnt be more kind and helpful. The revolving resturant was an added bonus and the food was excellent. Next time I visit Montreal I will book this hotel.

We stayed one night and visited Montreal. The hotel is in an excellent location for both the old town and newer areas of Montreal. The rooms were spacious, modern and clean. The personnel were friendly. Great place to stay.

The hotel is in a fabulous location. The hotel rooms are a good size and the beds are very comfortable and clean! The bathrooms are very nice, but our shower head was not the greatest. The water pressure was very low. The only other issue we had is the parking at the hotel. It is horrible. The underground parking is so tight. The parking spots are very close together and there is not a lot of room to drive around (very narrow). We suggest you choose another place to park when staying at the Delta. Overall I would stay there again. The rate was very good and the staff were friendly.

I don't if t was because the hotel was in a business area but the prices for the food at the restaraunt in the lobby of the hotel were far to high for the quality of food they were serving. Their breakfest buffet was highly over priced for food that was less than what you would get at the cheapest breakfest buffet at some greasy spoon.

This is my 3rd time at the hotel, but this trip was extremely disappointing. It turns out that during one of the nights that we were there, there was going to be a power outage. While the hotel knew this before hand, they did not notifiy us or have any signs showing in the main entrance until the day of the outage. Not only was in on the day of the outage, but it was way after check-out, and for the most of us, whenever we returned to our room, after being out in the evening. While they were supposed to at least have back up generators during the outage, even the back up generators were out stranding the customers from reaching their rooms. When we spoke to the service desk, they refused any kind of re-imbursement or compensation as a result, and if you booked thru a third party, told us that we needed to complain to the vendor instead, which was completely unheard of. While I enjoyed my previous stays, there are too many other hotels in that area to want to go back to this hotel after this incident.
