Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa - طوكيو

The rooms are clean. I had an older room that was somewhat old pink floral design like 1976 attacked it. Didnt mind much as the bed was comfy, sheets clean, and the bathroom was clean. Thats all I really ask for a room. Room is a large size. Plenty for a couple + 1. Im 6'2" and had no problems with bed length nor the shower, etc. I didnt do much at the hotel, but the front desk spoke decent enough English and was kind and respectful. JTB tours (and many others) pick up at this hotel, so thats a bonus as well. Airport Limousine Bus service drops off/picks up right at front door. It's 3,000 yen one way and takes about 70 minutes on average. The area is great as its an easy 5-10 minute walk to the Shinagawa station which will get you anywhere in Tokyo in under 25 minutes (akihabara is 18 minutes away, as is Shibuya), and is also a stop to catch the Bullet Trains to Kyoto. Also down the street are plenty of restaurants. There is also a nice shopping plaza across the street from Shinagawa with a nice bar that stays open quite late. Grand Prince New Takanawa is a good place to stay and I would have no problems about booking them again in the future.

The Prince Hotel group has 3 hotels here with a pretty Japanese garden in the central connecting each other. Hotel service is good, English and Mandarin communication is no problem. Hotel shuttle, (runs every 30 min.) to/back Shinagawa station is nice for senior guests and guests with luggages although it only takes 5 minutes straight walk from the station. Hotel room provides free ADSL connection, room service is very responsive on your request. Refrig. is empty so you have room for your own stuff. There's a 7-11 (1F) and a bakery shop (B1F) inside the hotel, how thoughtful. Shinagawa is a major train station and on Tokyo loop line, so it's convenient to everywhere in Tokyo (10 min. train ride to Tokyo station). Overall, a pleasant stay at a convenient location.

Overall the stay is pleasant. Walking distance to Shinagawa train station, McDonald's, TGIF, Outback. The hotel has a beautiful garden. There is an ATM machine inside. The rooms are clean, but the carpet may smell like cigarette smoke. The rooms are spacious. I highly recommend the room. Room service is expensive, so I suggest walk to McDonald's for Breakfast. There's lots of nearby eateries.

it is very close to the shinagawa station. by taxi is about 2 minutes. by walking is about 7 minutes. they also have a japanese garden nearby. the service is good. room is bigger than other japanese style hotel.

The staff offered me an upgrade at a very resonable price. The room is spacious with a well furnished wash room. Not the stand small mould type. I think it is renovated recently. The staff is friendly and speaks good English.

This is the first time I stayed at the Grand Prince, and I splurged a bit by staying in the Club floor. The room did not disappoint. The breakfast was good, and the afternoon Club lounge was an excellent outlet after a busy workday. My only complaint is that the rooms are kept at 80F or 27C, and I could not bring the temperature down. It was a cold winter 3C outside, but a desert heat inside. I had to keep the window open to moderate the room temperature. Other than that, the staff was superb, and the stay very pleasant.

Accessibility of the hotel is further enhanced by its shuttle service to and from Shinagawa station, together with the vast array and choice of food to suit every budget, makes the hotel even more attractive.

I've been staying at the Shin Tak for 20 years. Management lets it run down from time to time in terms of the furnishings. Carpet, blinds, wall coverings all show age but cleanliness of linen and bathrooms always top notch. Service typical Japanese which is to say nearly perfect. Overall satisfactory for quick stay if none of the other hotels on the Shinagawa area are available. It is no longer my first choice in the neighborhood.

The hotel is maintained well. Room & toilet are clean. Size of the room & toilet is reasonably spacious. The area is quiet and serene.

This hotel suits people who want to be a bit outside of Tokyo prices. By rail, it is approx 12-15 minutes from Tokyo station. Amenities are great and locally there is a complex with a Dolphin show, Sea Lion show, aquarium, ten pin bowling, cinemas and good shopping. It is close to Tokyo Tower. There are various restaurants including a bakery style restaurant we used for breakfast which is very good value for money. We attended a wedding at Happo-en and chose this hotel to be near the venue. Shinagawa station is user friendly and shuttle bus service is available. It is uphill from the station, so be prepared for this and catch a cab if you are struggling with luggage. My recommendation would be to book a Superior style room if you can afford it as the Standard rooms are very ordinary. Overall an enjoyable experience and I would go back again.

Best Quality Room, wonderful garden, good food... As a business man, this is one of the best quality hotel . Only one and big problem is no WiFi is supplied but wired only. Fully recommended.

I stayed in one of the older rooms that has yet to be remodeled. However, it was still in great shape and huge for Tokyo standards. Lot of empty rooms due to the power restrictions and surounding area much subdued since the earthquake. Excellent location as it is very near Shinagawa station which connects to just about everything. Enough English speaking restaurants to easily get by.

I really like the Shinagawa area of Tokyo and the hotel is conveniently located near the station, restaurants etc. The hotel and the rooms are large by Tokyo standards. The service is very prompt and efficient. And I like the garden area. It is very nice and a welcome destresser after spending the day out and about riding trains etc. I have been staying at this hotel for about 8 years. I moved to a different hotel the past few years because the rooms had become run down and in need of renovation. According to the website pictures, the rooms had been renovated so I opted to stay here again. Perhaps some of the rooms have been renovated. Unfortunately mine had not. It was very clean, but it is definitely worn and in serious need of an update.

This was my first time to stay here having stayed at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel on previous occasions. The hotel is part of a chain and so it was a bit like walking through a maze to get there but once there, I was not disappointed. My room was very clean and quite spacious with a balcony which provided views of the japanese garden below and the surrounding area. I didn't use any of the services offered by the hotel nor did I eat there but I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend there and would definately stay there again.

It was prepaid my 3 nights reservations, It's happen that my mother fell into critical condition suddenly, I must go back to US immedately. I checked out the hotel at 2nd day, I understand that have to pay 1 and 2nd night, I tryed explain to hotel rep. for refund 3rd night, But they don't attention for that. I am thoroughly disappointed it.

Nice Hotel close to Station we stayed on a club level floor the room was very nice has 2 small balcony"s you could not find fault with room,the only down side was the club lounge was not what one would expect,a light breakfast was included in our stay,but for evening drinks only beer or whiskey is served and nuts nibbels and cheese no crackers for cheese or hot savories,that is the 1st time ever we have come across this in a club lounge.

Location was great, 5 min walk to Shinagawa station. Free shuttle provided to train station for those with heavy luggage. Hotel facade and surrounding was a bit ancient looking but generous space within each room is a welcome change from the usual crampy Tokyo hotel rooms. Another plus point is the free shuttle to Tokyo Disneyland but advance reservation is needed. All in a gr8 experience.

Very spacious hotel for Japan. Standard room is huge but the decor is very dated and can do with a refurbish. Bed was uncomfortable and very low - as were the chairs. TV was small and old (no flat screen) and limited channel choice. But you cannot beat it for convenience to main train lines, the shinkansen and Haneda airport. Be warned it is a short walk to the station but uphill to the hotel. Suggest you take a taxi when you have luggage even though a short distance. Free internet in the room is a big plus (started Oct. 3rd) , nice gym available in nearby Sakura Tower but expensive! Staff are very helpful and friendly and speak good English. Overall a good deal for downtown Tokyo.

The hotel was fine. Room sizes were good, compared to some smaller, older Tokyo hotel properties. I liked the "greener cleaning" incentive, 1,000 yen certificates for the days I opted not to have the room cleaned. While the railway station was crowded, the area surrounding the hotel was nice and relaxing. I liked visiting the Sengakuji Temple for a taste of Old Japan. The Royal Host restaurant close by was an economical dining option.

The hotel was great for our family. Although we had to pay extra $20 a night for a newly renovated room, it was well worth it. The hotel was close to the train station and near a shopping complex.

This was a great hotel for my stay in tokyo, as you can see my ratings everythign was a well deserved 5.0. The hotel service was much better than I expected. I was made to wait for 4-5 minutes while my reservation was being pulled up. Just for that short wait, I was upgraded to a much better room. The hotel was very clean and the staff was extra polite. Excellent customer service. Would highly recommend to stay here.

I can't compare this hotel to others in Tokyo but I was dissapointed with the accomodations, especially compared to my room in Kyoto from which I had just traveled from. The hotel's interior decor has not been updated since the '70s so its a bit gaudy looking. It seems that neither has the plumbing and the hot and cold water levers in the sink and shower made it difficult to control the temperature of the water properly. While the hotel staff was polite they were a bit on the cold side and that seemed to be underscored by the general customer relations attitude of the property manager. There was a whole booklet in the room about the terms and conditions of staying at the hotel written like your typical legal document. Some of the rules included no picture taking in the hotel, no outside food or beverages allowed in your room, no unregistered guests allowed to visit your room. Not really the way to exude a welcoming feeling. On top of that there was a lot of nickel and diming - 1000 yen a day for wifi access, 2000 yen if you wanted to rent a lounge chair at the pool. Not knowing how large the city was or what spots I would be interested in spending my time in while there, I didn't care much for the location as well - something that certainly isn't the hotel's fault. Some pluses of staying there were the ATM machine and the multitude of shops and restaurants that were located within the property. I also appreciated that they offered airport shuttle service (for a fee) through an outside limo company. Having door to door service with your luggage is a much favored alternative to having to sweat it out in the maze of the Tokyo subway system to get to Narita. Like I said before, not sure if this is the norm in Tokyo hotels but overall I found this to be a cold, unwelcoming experience.

The hotel has a convenient location and is very good value for money. The room was confortable, nicely furnished and spotless. Room cleaning service is simply superb (and includes bed sheet change every day). The restaurant and bar are expensive, but there is a cafe with a bakery for reasonably priced breakfast or snacks and there is also a convenience shop. The hotel also has an ATM and a few other shops on site. The only down side is having to pay for access to the pool!

It is a walk(uphill) to hotel from JR rail, which seemed longer after a long day of sightseeing. Didn't experience much dining experiences in the area, but there is a McDonald's nearby.

We stayed in the hotel during a period when the prices were not too high and we got very good value for money!!! Nicely near the Shinagawa station, we had easy access to both trains and subway in and out of Tokyo.

Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The rooms itself have a rather outdated look, but it was still comfortable, spacious, and well maintained. It was within walking distance of the JR Shinagawa train station, so travel between major points of interest in Tokyo was a breeze. The staff was incredibly helpful despite the language barrier. Would definitely stay here again.

Years ago some colleagues of mine stayed at the Prince Hotel just down the hill from this hotel. I was staying at a more upscale hotel nearby. I didn't like the prince because it smelled like an industrial laundry. I chose the Grand Prince, at a slightly higher price, for that reason. As it turned out it smells the same. This is a well worn hotel but the amenites are better than I expected. The bed was awesome, the bathroom very nice, and the room VERY large for Tokyo. Like all Japanese hotels, the help was very courteous and eager to please. For convenience, I would probalby pick the Prince since it's closer to the train but both hotels are a good value for the area and I would recommend either.

ビジネスで利用しました。静かな部屋で身体も心もゆっくり休めました。

品川駅から真っ直ぐひたすら坂道を登らないといけないのが少し大変。　ホテルの部屋は広々として快適だったけど、使えるコンセントの数が少なすぎて電子機器の充電に手間取る。あと、鏡台の上にあるコンセントにプラグを差し込もうとしたら「ビリッ」と音がしたので怖かった。その他は何も言うことなく快適に過ごせました。

2박3일 묵었습니다. 무엇보다도 객실이 넓어서, 2인 사용하기에 무척 편했습니다. 시나가와 역의 교통도 좋아서 도쿄를 다니는 데 무리도 없었고, 나리타에서 넥스를 타고 환승없이 이동할 수 있는 거리기도 합니다. 문제는 지하철역과 호텔간의 거리인데... 거리는 멀지 않으나, 약간 경사입니다. 여유있게 다니기엔 먼 거리가 아니나 여름엔 더울 수 있습니다. 시나가와 역과 호텔간의 셔틀버스가 있긴 한데... 자주 있지 않습니다. 전반적으로 만족도가 높은 호텔이었습니다. 다음에 도쿄에가도 프린스 호텔을 찾을 듯 합니다.

朝のチェックアウト前の９：３０頃から上階での工事が始まりしかも躯体工事のため耐えられるものではありませんでした。不快感満点でした。値段が安いからとはいえひどすぎる。予約前に解るように明記すべき。チェックインの際にフロントもその件は一切無し。部屋には、お知らせの紙が一枚ありましたが。

Отель очень понравился, очень большой, просторные номера, чисто. На территории отеля прекрасный парк с прудом в котором плавают цветные огромные карпы. Также есть в сезон открытый бассейн.

친정엄마와 두돌 안된 딸, 이렇게 삼모녀가 떠난 도쿄였어요. 누군가의 여행기를 보고 이 호텔을 알게 됐고 덜렁 예약을 했지요. 무리하지 말고(그럴 수도 없거니와) 마트나 드럭스토어에서 쇼핑이나 하고 오자, 하고 떠난 여행이었는데 아무리 그래도 평상시보다 많이 걷고 피곤할 수 밖에요. 호텔 가까이 시나가와 역의 아케이드 몰이 있어서 참 편했답니다. 단, 늦게 저녁 먹을 데가 없어요 이 호텔에는. 대부분 아홉시 쯤 문을 닫아서 정원을 가로질러 옆 호텔인 그랜드 프린스 호텔('뉴'가 아닌)에 가서 먹어야 했답니다. 올초 미야자끼 갔을 때 호텔 로비 까페에서 아기랑 라이브 음악에 맞춰 춤췄던 추억을 또 재현하려 했으나 그런 까페도 없더군요. 위치상 긴자며 오모떼산도, 모두 가까워요. 도쿄장난감 미술관도 추천. 이온몰도 20분 거리에 있어 좋았네요.

品川駅から天気が良ければ歩いて丁度いい距離だけれど　お天気が悪かったり　荷物が多いと少し距離感をかんじます。　お部屋は今回は　スーペリアダブル禁煙でした。　ベッドは二人でゆったり目でした。　しかし　改装されたお部屋とはいうものの　少し家具に傷がついていて　 真新しいという感じではなかったです。　バスルームはゆったりとしていました　。アメニティも標準的。 桜の季節でしたので　プリンスホテルの庭散策できる楽しみがありました。　加湿器をリクエストしていたのですが　きちんとチェックイン前にお部屋に設置しておいてくださり　良かったです。　サービスはとても良い印象を受けました。　

チェックイン日、地震の影響で羽田から出られず ホテルについたのは朝の６時だったにも関わらずフロントの方には快く迎えていただきました。 また、チェックアウトが正午でしたのでゆっくり休むことが 出来ました。

Chambres à moderniser : La climatisation est neutralisée l'hiver(27° à mon arrivée dans la chambre), on m'a conseillé d'ouvrir la fenêtre (2° dehors ! ) Mobilier (table de nuit, bureau et rangement) vraiment antique et inadapté. Sommier et matelas très inconfortables. Pas de réveil lumineux. En positif : Très agréable balcon donnant sur un merveilleux jardin japonais. Personnel parfait

시나가와 역에서 걸어다니기에 좀 먼것을 빼고는 만족스럽습니다. 시나가와 역에서 30분마다 호텔로의 셔틀이 있지만 홈페이지에 공지가 되지 않아서 시간대를 전화로 확인한 점도 매우 불편한 점입니다. 시나가와 역에서 호텔까지가 오르막 경사여서 하루 일과를 마치고 피곤한 상태에서 걷기에 힘이 들었습니다. 또한 주변에 콘비니가 전혀 없고 호텔 1층에만 있습니다. 간단한 식사를 할려고 해도 시나가와 역까지 가야되고 술이라도 한잔할려면 시나가와 역 동쪽출구로 가야하니 그 거리가 꽤 됩니다.

Convenient location next to the railway station, but very, very big!

Flott hotell med et usedvanlig flott hageanlegg nær T-banen (ca 500 m) i bydelen Shinagawa. Byr på både vestlig og japansk frokost. Betjening som på et eller annet vis alltid visste når vi forlot rommet for å foreta rengjøring. Flere restauranter med lunsj-/middagstilbud i bygget. Hotellet er en del av et kompleks på 3 hoteller med felles uteanlegg.

Le seul probleme est de trouver l hotel ; confusionentre les 2 hotels Grand Prince a Shinagawa Les restaurants de l hotel ou dans l hotel ne sont pas de tres bonne qualité ; ne pas recommander La piscine devrait etre ouverte en juin !!!
