The hotel room is slanted if you notice properly. To clarify, just roll a bottle on the table top and you will notice the difference.Valet is expensive and waited for too long(45 mins) for the valet to bring the car.

Good location if you want to be near Union Square and the shopping. Also just across the street from the theaters. We love the decorations of the rooms. White and black with lots of Stainless steel.

This hotel was a last minute getaway for my birthday weekend. The place is adorable, very hip and chic, and in a fabulous location. The rooms are unique, clean and comfortable. Free wifi was a nice touch and parking was less than overnight at some of the big name hotels. HOWEVER, despite being told it was a 20 minute wait for our car from the valet, it took TWO HOURS on Sunday to get our car! We asked if we could just go get it ourselves, and we were informed that it was parked 15 blocks away, sheesh! Oh well, we went shopping and called every now and then to see if it was back. Once it was there, we headed to the hotel, asked for a valet refund which they provided, and were on our way. Now, had we had a flight to catch, or somewhere to be, it could have been a different experience all together. Also, there was no bell person on Sunday, and some snobbish looking couple with their $1,000 stroller seemed very perturbed by this...so if you expect to be waited on hand and foot, go elsewhere. All in all, as long as you are aware of the valet issue and prepare ahead of time, this is a great hotel. Enjoy!

Hotel Diva is conveniently close to Union Square and the Westfield mall. The staff was very helpful the rooms was very clean and the beds were very comfortable The bath room was very small but understandable due to the location we arrived very early and the front desk was very accommodating giving us a room. The only Issue that would frustrate anyone would be if you were driving to the hotel. There is no parking at the hotel so a valet service handles that, you can wait from twenty minutes to fourth five minutes to get your car and it is very expensive thirty five dollars a day. I would recommend parking at a nearby parking structure. Overall I would recommend the Diva I would probably use more public transportation as San Francisco has very good service.

Whatever you do, DO NOT valet you car here!!! I was told that picking your car up out of valet could take up to 20 minutes. Over an hour later, our car still had not arrived and all management could tell us was that their parking services were 'backed up.' No offer for a discount, no comp'd parking, NOTHING. I will not be going back.

I just finished my first stay at the Hotel Diva in San Francisco. It is within a block of Union Square, within walking distance of loads of great restaurants and centrally located for business. The staff of the hotel are GREAT. They are curteous, knowledgable about the area and made me feel welcome starting on day one. They remembered my name by day 2 and I felt welcome and appreciated. The rooms are small and the bathrooms are tiny. They are in very good condition and well decorated. The lack of any counter space on the pedestal sink is very inconvenient and the small shelf above the toilet does not give much area to put toiletries. The beds are very comfortable. If you are a light sleeper don't stay in the rooms facing the street as there is quite a bit of street noise. The front desk has complimentary ear plugs though and they did offer to move me to a room away from the street as soon as I mentioned the noise. There is a Starbucks (a real one) on one side attached through the lobby and a GREAT Interior Style Mexican restaurant on the other. Food is VERY good and so are the margaritas. I will definitely stay again as the staff and proximity to everything make up for the small rooms and tiny bathroom. Consider booking one of the bigger rooms if this is a big concern for you.

The Hotel is very cool the front desk was super nice, they seemed short staffed however, but did offer us Sake :) We got to the room and the phone didnt work and found out later it never got fixed and our TV didnt work either. In their defense it was an issue that happened with more than our room. The General Manager made it all better by comping our room. So I will go back, because they know the customer is important and really wanted to make it right and they did. If the rest would have not happened I would have given them a 5

Valet parking available for $40 + a little more for large vehicles. It was so convenient to pull up and know we didn't have to stress about finding parking in the city. We also got there before check in time and I was expecting to just leave the bags with the bellhop. Amazingly they had our room ready and were were able to check in early. It is a great location and I love the decor. The small bathroom was the only downside, but that is very common in SF. I would definitly go back!

Here's the thing. I think this place is perfect for the weekend traveler just in to see the sights. But if you're a business traveler, the place has its shortcomings. The desk chair was one of the most uncomfortable desk chairs I've ever sat in. There was insufficient storage space and way too few hangers in the closet. The vanity bathroom sink was deep but there was no shelving to store toiletries. The lighting over the sink was awful, I had to re-direct lighting from other parts of the room to feel like I wasn't shaving in the dark. Starbuck's right next door very convenient. A car service to the airport for the price of a cab, very nice. The shower was made for a very short person. I'm below average height and had to duck my head down to shampoo and rinse. The cable was basic at best. Again, better options in the immediate area. The concierge said the hotel was in transition to a new cable provider, so this might have been temporary blip. If you're just using the room as a bed, this place is great. If you're looking to spend any time in the room, there are more spacious, more functional options in the immediate area.

We always stay here when doing a city weekend. The hotel is comfortable, clean and close to Union Square. The only negative is that it is not in a great neighborhood...lots of homeless people begging in the street. We felt a little unsafe at night.

lovely place! walking distance to all the shops dining & cable car the staff were lovely

The hotel was in a convenient location, a few blocks from Union Square. The beds were very comfortable and the noise outside wasn't all too bad even though we were on the 4th floor. However, the noise in the hallway at 3:00 a.m. in the morning on the second night of our stay was a bit loud. I guess we may have gotten the party floor and since it was the day after Black Friday, a weekend, people are ready for a night out on the town. The hotel staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We didn't have the room cleaned since our shopping bags and gifts were spread out across the room but the maid service caught us in the hallway and politely asked us if we wanted the room cleaned now that we were leaving to do more shopping. We declined but I thought they were very observant. The only complaint I had was the water in the tub wouldn't shut off completely so it dripped all night long but nothing a few ear plugs couldn't fix. I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends and family who are coming to San Francisco. Although short, I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel.

Great location, free wi-fi, Starbucks downstairs, fun atmosphere and decor and comfy bed - can't go wrong!

The hotel was right by Union square which provided a great experience. The room was nice and spacious, although the bathroom was a little on the small side. There was also complementary sake and tea in the lobby which was a great surprise. Overall it was a great hotel and I recommend staying there.

Upon arrival, request to see other multiple rooms if available. I booked with hotels.com specifically for a KING room and they tried sticking my GF and I in a queen room. Queen rooms are tiny! petite beyond belief.

I rated the "condition and maintenance" as a 3 because there was some painting going on and one of the elevators door wasn't working super well. Bathroom was super clean, staff was great, the free WiFi was reliable. Tons of rental car locations close-by and Powell BART station is a short walk from there.

Hotel Diva worked out well for us. It is well located about a block or two off of Union Square. It's close to BART and cable cars if you don't like to walk, but we walked to Chinatown, the Ferry Building, unbelievable restaurants, and shopping. The concierge, Rodney, was extremely helpful. Our room was small, but well-equipped, and the diva theme is fun.

Everything was fine except...there were some long black hairs in a couple of the towels...yuck! Otherwise, very cute modern hotel, oh and Starbucks next store is a plus...but they're very very SLOW.

Its an OK hotel, but some rooms are very dark, no windows to day light. The manager was very, very courteous and went out of his way to give us a room with a big window. It was noisy, but we were too tire to keep us up.

My husband and I wanted to be close to downtown San Francisco, which the hotel definitely was. The hotel room itself was small and the bathroom had no shelf space. While we only stayed a few days, there was not a lot of space to spread out clothes, and virtually no drawer space. Our room faced the street, so at night we did hear cars and traffic. Would consider staying again, if we could get a better deal.

Very reasonable price for union square considering the location. Rooms were quite small with a single king bed. Television had very few channels working. Lobby area is EXTREMELY small, but, no one really spends time there anyways. Without the thermostat, can be tough to control the temperature, but, otherwise, it is MUCH MUCH better to have A/C than not. Good toiletries and linens. Overall, would stay here again, but, since I was here on business, i'd choose a location closer to the Moscone Center.

Good location...Union Square is very central but admittedly not the most exciting of neighborhoods. It's like recommending Times Square...great for tourists, but little local flavor. The hotel was clean, well maintained, quiet and stylish. Staff was very professional and pleasant too. Not all that cozy though...maybe because the rooms were so small and the sinks were outside of the bathrooms. As a boutique hotel it kinda failed because it lacked any real personality. I feel like it's a bit overpriced even for the location.

My friends and I had a fabulous stay at this lovely boutique hotel. Upon checkin, we were given a beautiful room, by the professional and friendly staff. Everything worked! The location is perfect for sightseeing, with plenty of restaurants and diners close by. There are theaters right across the street and a Starbucks through the lobby. I will certainly stay here again and again. I only wish there were Personality Hotels in other major cities!

Our family of four enjoyed our recent stay at Hotel Diva. Our room was spacious and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel is in a convenient location for Union Square, cable cars, shopping and restaurants.

Stayed a week in the Hotel Diva and found it comfortable and convenient. Although there are homeless people on the streets they are generally polite and not aggressive in any way. It's just a part of San Francisco. While we were there there were some renovations going on and the rather dated corridors were being brought up to the standards of the rooms. The hotel is rather quirky and unusual which we liked but wouldn't suit everybody.

We enjoyed our stay in Diva Hotel, its very well located, close to Union Square, next to Colibri which is an extraordinary Mexican Restaurant. The room had enough space, awesome bed and sophisticated decoration. It has free wifi which helps a lot since most hotels charges for that service.

The hotel staff is very friendly. David in the lobby is a gr8 guy. The rooms are small but nice. Gr8 location. Getting to the room "needs remodel". The floors squeek, are uneven, and are a poor entry for the beautiful room. The walls are marked and damaged. Very little capital improvement is needed to make this a hotel, merit the price they charge. I will come back, if and when the common areas are in order. Terry

Great location. Housekeeping a challenge - did not have bed made for our child and kept having to ask for more towels. Concierge was great! Ask for restaurant recommendations. Dotties is a must for breakfast.

Very good location and a clean and nicely decorated hotel. Quite small room with brick wall view but the design of the room was nice. The only bad thing is the parking that is a robbery. 36 $ + tax per night. Unfortunately this seems to be the case everywhere in downtown so there is really not much of a choice.

We really like this hotel and have stayed here twice in the past. The rooms are really small, but the location for the price is fabulous. They have brand new carpet and everything is extremely modern.

We stayed in a family room with 2 beds. It was a nice, spacious and modern looking room. Nice that this hotel offers family rooms. Hotel staff was very friendly, offering us advice on booking tours and things to do in the area. The only thing I didn't like about the room was the tiny bathroom. Also, the hotel is being remodeled and this caused some inconvenience. There are only 2 elevators and one was out of order during our stay, resulting in long wait times.We used the stairs most times. We were on the 4th floor. The direct surroundings of the hotel are not the greatest with bums hanging out directly outside the hotel. On the other hand, it is only 2 blocks from Union Square, which is nice. Skip the Pinecrest Diner for breakfast. They claim to serve the best breakfast in San Francisco, but it really isn't anything special and definitely not worth waiting in line for. Parking is expensive at $34 per night.

Nice hotel. We were there during a remodel, so wasn't as quiet as I had hoped, but the hotel is nice. Extremely friendly staff. Highly recommend.

This boutique hotel was as funky as it gets. Whilst it is really old it has had a contemporary facelift. The amenities were great and the room was Divalicious. The staff were amazing and so helpful. The hotel was located on Geary Street opposite some gorgeous old theatres. The street was filled with art galleries which were so cool. Lots and lots of restaurants and cafes. Centrally located just down from Union Square where all the great shops were as well as the cable cars to go up to Fisherman's Wharf. I loved it and would recommend it to anyone.

Overall, I was happy with my stay. We had a group of eight girls and stayed in the family rooms, which were comfortable and clean. The front desk service was great. They were helpful with holding our bags and letting us park before we checked in. My only complaint is that the concierge was a little rude about having to hold all our bags. When dropping them off to our room he still had an attitude when I offered to help. It takes at least 20 minutes to have Valet pull up your car, so just call front desk before going down.

Hotel Diva is a just few hundreds feet from Union Square and few blocks from Chinatown. Room is very clean. My kid loved the decoration. Valet parking, however, is very expensive but we do not really have choice. Staff is very kind and helpful. Starbucks is right down stair.

very friendly and helpful staff. very very clean rooms and beds (i travel a lot and am paranoid about bedbugs, did a careful check and there were none). located wonderfully. some problems with facilities - my toilet leaked and had to be fixed, but they took care of everything quickly. the people who work at the hotel really make it a welcoming and relaxing place to be. i will absolutely be staying at diva again.

Great location, interesting premise and very pleasant and helpful staff. On the downside, every Diva needs a makeup mirror, or at least better light for makeup. Also, it was a little weird not being able to see outside, although the opaque blinds were an interesting motif.

Excellent location, newly redone and immaculate rooms, superior service, especially the concierge who gave us superb restaurant recommendations, and the car service, which was twice as fast as the pricer hotel down the street. The afternoon sake, and the Philosophy products in the room were nice touches. Rooms are a bit tight for couples that need their own space.
